1And Hannah prayed, and said: My heart exulteth in Jehovah; My horn is exalted in Jehovah; My mouth is enlarged over mine enemies; Because I rejoice in thy salvation.
2There is no one as holy as Yahweh, For there is no one besides you, nor is there any rock like our God.
2 Koy Hanno fo si no sanda Rabbi cine, Zama ni cine fo si no. Tondi fo mo si no sanda iri Irikoyo cine.
2There is none holy as Jehovah; For there is none besides thee, Neither is there any rock like our God.

3 Wa si ye ka salaŋ da boŋbeeray gumo, Fooma sanni ma si fun araŋ me ra mo, Zama Rabbi Irikoy ya Bayraykoy no. Nga mo no ga goyey kulu neesi.
3Talk no more so exceeding proudly; Let not arrogancy come out of your mouth; For Jehovah is a God of knowledge, And by him actions are weighed.
4“The bows of the mighty men are broken. Those who stumbled are armed with strength.
4 Soojey birawey ceeri-ceeri. Borey kaŋ yaŋ kati mo, a g'i no gaabi.
4The bows of the mighty men are broken; And they that stumbled are girded with strength.
5Those who were full have hired themselves out for bread. Those who were hungry are satisfied. Yes, the barren has borne seven. She who has many children languishes.
5 Borey kaŋ yaŋ kungu mo na ngey boŋ daŋ sufuray zama ngey ma du ŋwaari. Harayzey mo fulanzam. Oho, wayguno hay ize iyye, Amma waybora kaŋ na ize booba hay, nga wo jaŋ.
5They that were full have hired out themselves for bread; And they that were hungry have ceased [to hunger]: Yea, the barren hath borne seven; And she that hath many children languisheth.
6“Yahweh kills, and makes alive. He brings down to Sheol , and brings up.
6 Rabbi ga wi, a ga funandi mo. A ga zumandi hala Alaahara, A ga tunandi mo.
6Jehovah killeth, and maketh alive: He bringeth down to Sheol, and bringeth up.
7Yahweh makes poor, and makes rich. He brings low, he also lifts up.
7 Rabbi ga talkandi, a ga arzakandi mo. A ga kaynandi, a ga beerandi.
7Jehovah maketh poor, and maketh rich: He bringeth low, he also lifteth up.
8He raises up the poor out of the dust. He lifts up the needy from the dunghill, To make them sit with princes, and inherit the throne of glory. For the pillars of the earth are Yahweh’s. He has set the world on them.

9He will keep the feet of his holy ones, but the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; for no man shall prevail by strength.
9 A ga nga hanantey cey haggoy, Amma a ga boro laaley naŋ kuba ra ngey hinne, Zama gaabi boŋ boro si no kaŋ ga te zaama.
9He will keep the feet of his holy ones; But the wicked shall be put to silence in darkness; For by strength shall no man prevail.
10Those who strive with Yahweh shall be broken to pieces. He will thunder against them in the sky. “Yahweh will judge the ends of the earth. He will give strength to his king, and exalt the horn of his anointed.”
10 Borey kaŋ yaŋ ga gaaba nda Rabbi, a g'i bagu-bagu. I boŋ do no a ga kaati, jinda ga fun beena ra. Rabbi ga ciiti ndunnya me-a-me boŋ. A ga gaabi no nga bonkoono se, Ka nga suubananta gaabo beerandi.»
10They that strive with Jehovah shall be broken to pieces; Against them will he thunder in heaven: Jehovah will judge the ends of the earth; And he will give strength unto his king, And exalt the horn of his anointed.

14and he struck it into the pan, or kettle, or caldron, or pot; all that the fork brought up the priest took therewith. So they did in Shiloh to all the Israelites who came there.

15Yes, before they burnt the fat, the priest’s servant came, and said to the man who sacrificed, “Give meat to roast for the priest; for he will not accept boiled meat from you, but raw.”
15 Oho, za i mana maano ton, alfaga bannya ga kaa, a ma ne sargay nookwa se, «Kande ham kaŋ i ga ton alfaga se. A si ba ni ham hinanta, kala igano.»
15Yea, before they burnt the fat, the priest's servant came, and said to the man that sacrificed, Give flesh to roast for the priest; for he will not have boiled flesh of thee, but raw.
16If the man said to him, “Let the fat be burned first, and then take as much as your soul desires”; then he would say, “No, but you shall give it to me now; and if not, I will take it by force.”
16 Hala mo bora ne a se: «Daahir, kala nda i jin ka maano ton jina, gaa no ni ga kaa haŋ kaŋ ni ga ba me,» kala nga mo ma ne bora se: «Abada! Sohõ day no ni g'ay no nd'a. Da manti yaadin mo no ay g'a kom.»
16And if the man said unto him, They will surely burn the fat first, and then take as much as thy soul desireth; then he would say, Nay, but thou shalt give it me now: and if not, I will take it by force.
17The sin of the young men was very great before Yahweh; for the men despised the offering of Yahweh.

20Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, “Yahweh give you seed of this woman for the petition which was asked of Yahweh.” They went to their own home.
20 Eli mo na Elkana nda nga wando albarkandi ka ne: «Rabbi ma ni no banda wayboro wo do, nooyaŋo wo banandi kaŋ i na Rabbi no.» I koy ngey kwaara.
20And Eli blessed Elkanah and his wife, and said, Jehovah give thee seed of this woman for the petition which was asked of Jehovah. And they went unto their own home.
21Yahweh visited Hannah, and she conceived, and bore three sons and two daughters. The child Samuel grew before Yahweh.
21 Rabbi mo na Hannatu kunfa. A ye ka ize aru hinza da ize way hinka hay. Arwaso Samuwila beeri Rabbi jine.
21And Jehovah visited Hannah, and she conceived, and bare three sons and two daughters. And the child Samuel grew before Jehovah.
22Now Eli was very old; and he heard all that his sons did to all Israel, and how that they lay with the women who served at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

22Now Eli was very old; and he heard all that his sons did unto all Israel, and how that they lay with the women that did service at the door of the tent of meeting.
23He said to them, “Why do you do such things? for I hear of your evil dealings from all this people.
23 Baabo mo ne i se: «Ifo se no araŋ goono ga hayey wo te? Zama ay goono ga maa araŋ goy laaley kulu baaru jama wo kulu do.
23And he said unto them, Why do ye such things? for I hear of your evil dealings from all this people.
24No, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: you make Yahweh’s people disobey.
24 Abada, ay izey, manti baaru hanno no ay goono ga maa. Araŋ na Rabbi jama daŋ i ma harta.
24Nay, my sons; for it is no good report that I hear: ye make Jehovah's people to transgress.
25If one man sin against another, God shall judge him; but if a man sin against Yahweh, who shall entreat for him?” Notwithstanding, they didn’t listen to the voice of their father, because Yahweh intended to kill them.
25 Da boro na zunubi te boro fo se, Irikoy g'a ciiti, amma da boro na zunubi te Rabbi se, may no ga adduwa te bora se?» Kulu nda yaadin i mana laakal daŋ ngey baabo sanno gaa, zama Rabbi miila nga m'i halaci.
25If one man sin against another, God shall judge him; but if a man sin against Jehovah, who shall entreat for him? Notwithstanding, they hearkened not unto the voice of their father, because Jehovah was minded to slay them.
26The child Samuel grew on, and increased in favor both with Yahweh, and also with men.
26 Arwaso Samuwila binde soobay ka beeri, a gonda gaakuri Irikoy da borey mo do.
26And the child Samuel grew on, and increased in favor both with Jehovah, and also with men.
27A man of God came to Eli, and said to him, “Thus says Yahweh, ‘Did I reveal myself to the house of your father, when they were in Egypt in bondage to Pharaoh’s house?
27 Kala Irikoy boro fo kaa Eli do ka ne a se: «Yaa no Rabbi ci: Manti ay n'ay boŋ bangandi ni baabo dumo se, za i go Misira ra ga tamtaray te Firawna* windo se?
27And there came a man of God unto Eli, and said unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, Did I reveal myself unto the house of thy father, when they were in Egypt [in bondage] to Pharaoh's house?
28Did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up to my altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? Did I give to the house of your father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?
28 Manti mo ay n'a suuban Israyla kundey kulu ra a ma ciya ay se alfaga, a ma kaaru mo ay sargay feema do, a ma dugu ton, a ma efod kwaay daŋ ay jine, hala mo ay na ni baaba dumo no sargayey kulu kaŋ Israyla izey ga te da danji?
28and did I choose him out of all the tribes of Israel to be my priest, to go up unto mine altar, to burn incense, to wear an ephod before me? and did I give unto the house of thy father all the offerings of the children of Israel made by fire?
29Why do you kick at my sacrifice and at my offering, which I have commanded in my habitation, and honor your sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the best of all the offerings of Israel my people?’
29Wherefore kick ye at my sacrifice and at mine offering, which I have commanded in [my] habitation, and honorest thy sons above me, to make yourselves fat with the chiefest of all the offerings of Israel my people?
30“Therefore Yahweh, the God of Israel, says, ‘I said indeed that your house, and the house of your father, should walk before me forever.’ But now Yahweh says, ‘Be it far from me; for those who honor me I will honor, and those who despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
30Therefore Jehovah, the God of Israel, saith, I said indeed that thy house, and the house of thy father, should walk before me for ever: but now Jehovah saith, Be it far from me; for them that honor me I will honor, and they that despise me shall be lightly esteemed.
31Behold, the days come, that I will cut off your arm, and the arm of your father’s house, that there shall not be an old man in your house.

33The man of yours, whom I shall not cut off from my altar, shall consume your eyes, and grieve your heart; and all the increase of your house shall die in the flower of their age.
33 Ni borey ra bora kaŋ ay si waasu ka kaa ay sargay feema gaa ga funa zama a ma ni mo ŋwa ka ni bine sara mo. Ni banda-banda kulu ga bu ngey gaabo bindi ra.
33And the man of thine, [whom] I shall not cut off from mine altar, [shall be] to consume thine eyes, and to grieve thy heart; and all the increase of thy house shall die in the flower of their age.
34“‘This shall be the sign to you, that shall come on your two sons, on Hophni and Phinehas: in one day they shall both die.

35And I will raise me up a faithful priest, that shall do according to that which is in my heart and in my mind: and I will build him a sure house; and he shall walk before mine anointed for ever.
36It shall happen, that everyone who is left in your house shall come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and shall say, “Please put me into one of the priests’ offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.”’”
36 A ga ciya mo, boro kaŋ cindi ni dumo ra ga kaa ka sombu a jine zama nga ma du nzarfu jare da buuru kunkuni, a ma ne mo: ‹Ay ga ni ŋwaaray no, m'ay daŋ alfagataray saajaw goy fo ra zama ay ma du ŋwaari kayna kaŋ ay ga ŋwa.› »
36And it shall come to pass, that every one that is left in thy house shall come and bow down to him for a piece of silver and a loaf of bread, and shall say, Put me, I pray thee, into one of the priests' offices, that I may eat a morsel of bread.
