2 Chronicles

1

1Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and Yahweh his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
1 Suleymanu Dawda izo sinji nga mayra ra, Rabbi a Irikoyo go a banda, a n'a beerandi mo gumo.
1And Solomon the son of David was strengthened in his kingdom, and Jehovah his God was with him, and magnified him exceedingly.
2Solomon spoke to all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers’ households.
2 Suleymanu salaŋ da Israyla* kulu, da zambar-zambarey da zangu-zangey jine borey, da ciitikoy mo, ngey da Israyla mayraykoy kulu, sanda kaayey windi arkusey nooya.
2And Solomon spake unto all Israel, to the captains of thousands and of hundreds, and to the judges, and to every prince in all Israel, the heads of the fathers' [houses].
3So Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the Tent of Meeting of God, which Moses the servant of Yahweh had made in the wilderness.
3 Suleymanu binde, nga nda jama kulu a banda ziji ka koy sududuyaŋ nango do kaŋ go Jibeyon, zama noodin no Irikoy kubayyaŋ hukumo go, wo kaŋ Irikoy tamo Musa te saajo ra.
3So Solomon, and all the assembly with him, went to the high place that was at Gibeon; for there was the tent of meeting of God, which Moses the servant of Jehovah had made in the wilderness.
4But David had brought the ark of God up from Kiriath Jearim to the place that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
4 Amma Dawda jin ka Irikoy sundurko sambu ka fun d'a Ciriyat-Yeyarim ka kond'a nango kaŋ nga din, Dawda, soola a se, zama a na hukum sinji a se Urusalima* ra.
4But the ark of God had David brought up from Kiriath-jearim to [the place] that David had prepared for it; for he had pitched a tent for it at Jerusalem.
5Moreover the bronze altar, that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of Yahweh: and Solomon and the assembly were seeking counsel there.
5 Hala sohõ mo, guuru-say sargay* feema kaŋ Bezaleyel Uri izo, Hur ize te go noodin Jibeyon, Rabbi nangora jine. Suleymanu mo, nga nda jama kulu koy noodin a do.
5Moreover the brazen altar, that Bezalel the son of Uri, the son of Hur, had made, was there before the tabernacle of Jehovah: and Solomon and the assembly sought unto it.
6Solomon went up there to the bronze altar before Yahweh, which was at the Tent of Meeting, and offered one thousand burnt offerings on it.
6 Noodin binde Suleymanu ziji ka koy guuru-say feema do, Rabbi jine, feema kaŋ go kubayyaŋ hukumo do haray. A na sargay kaŋ i ga ton zambar fo salle a boŋ.
6And Solomon went up thither to the brazen altar before Jehovah, which was at the tent of meeting, and offered a thousand burnt-offerings upon it.
7In that night God appeared to Solomon, and said to him, “Ask what I shall give you.”
7In that night did God appear unto Solomon, and said unto him, Ask what I shall give thee.
8Solomon said to God, “You have shown great loving kindness to David my father, and have made me king in his place.
Ay mo, ni n'ay ciya bonkooni a nango ra.
8And Solomon said unto God, Thou hast showed great lovingkindness unto David my father, and hast made me king in his stead.
9Now, Yahweh God, let your promise to David my father be established; for you have made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
9 Sohõ binde, ya Rabbi Irikoy, nin d'ay baaba Dawda game ra alkawlo, a tabbat, zama ni n'ay ciya bonkooni borey boŋ, jama kaŋ ga baa gumo sanda laabo gurey cine.
9Now, O Jehovah God, let thy promise unto David my father be established; for thou hast made me king over a people like the dust of the earth in multitude.
10Now give me wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this your people, that is so great?”
10Give me now wisdom and knowledge, that I may go out and come in before this people; for who can judge this thy people, that is so great?
11God said to Solomon, “Because this was in your heart, and you have not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of those who hate you, neither yet have asked long life; but have asked wisdom and knowledge for yourself, that you may judge my people, over whom I have made you king:
11 Kala Irikoy ne Suleymanu se: «Za kaŋ woodin go ni bina ra, ni mana duure wala arzaka ŋwaaray, wala beeray, wala ni ibarey fundi. Ni mana baa aloomar kuuku ŋwaaray mo ni boŋ se, amma ni na laakal da bayray ŋwaaray ni boŋ se, kaŋ ga naŋ ni ma hin ka ciiti dumbu ay jama se, ngey kaŋ yaŋ ay na ni ciya i bonkoono.
11And God said to Solomon, Because this was in thy heart, and thou hast not asked riches, wealth, or honor, nor the life of them that hate thee, neither yet hast asked long life; but hast asked wisdom and knowledge for thyself, that thou mayest judge my people, over whom I have made thee king:
12wisdom and knowledge is granted to you. I will give you riches, wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had who have been before you; neither shall there any after you have the like.”
12 To, laakal da bayray, ay na ni no d'ey. Ay ga ni no mo arzaka nda duure da beeray kaŋ dumi bonkooni fo mana du a cine baa ce fo ni jine, a sinda mo boro kaŋ ga ye ka du a cine ni banda.»
12wisdom and knowledge is granted unto thee; and I will give thee riches, and wealth, and honor, such as none of the kings have had that have been before thee; neither shall there any after thee have the like.
13So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the Tent of Meeting, to Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.
13 Suleymanu binde ye ka kaa ka fun sududuyaŋ nango do kaŋ go Jibeyon, kubayyaŋ hukumo jine. A kaa Urusalima, a na Israyla may mo.
13So Solomon came from the high place that was at Gibeon, from before the tent of meeting, unto Jerusalem; and he reigned over Israel.
14Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had one thousand four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
14 Suleymanu na torkoyaŋ da bari-kariyaŋ margu. A gonda torko zambar fo da zangu taaci, kaarukoyaŋ mo zambar way cindi hinka, kaŋ yaŋ a jisi torkey galley ra. I go bonkoono banda mo Urusalima ra.
14And Solomon gathered chariots and horsemen: and he had a thousand and four hundred chariots, and twelve thousand horsemen, that he placed in the chariot cities, and with the king at Jerusalem.
15The king made silver and gold to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycamore trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
Sedre* bundu mo a n'a ciya sanda durmi bundu kaŋ go Safela* ra, i baayaŋo sabbay se.
15And the king made silver and gold to be in Jerusalem as stones, and cedars made he to be as the sycomore-trees that are in the lowland, for abundance.
16The horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt and from Kue; the king’s merchants purchased them from Kue.
16 Suleymanu bariyey mo, Misira no i ga fun d'ey. Bonkoono dillaŋey g'i ta kuru-kuru, kuru fo kulu da nga hayo.
16And the horses which Solomon had were brought out of Egypt; the king's merchants received them in droves, each drove at a price.
17They brought up and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred pieces of silver, and a horse for one hundred fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Syria, they brought them out by their means.
17 I ga kande torkoyaŋ ka fun d'ey Misira. I ga kande afo kulu nzarfu kilo iyye cine boŋ, bari fo mo sekel zangu nda waygu boŋ.
17And they fetched up and brought out of Egypt a chariot for six hundred [shekels] of silver, and a horse for a hundred and fifty: and so for all the kings of the Hittites, and the kings of Syria, did they bring them out by their means.
