2 Chronicles

15

1The Spirit of God came on Azariah the son of Oded:
1 Irikoy Biya* binde kaa Azariya Oded izo boŋ.
1And the Spirit of God came upon Azariah the son of Oded:
2and he went out to meet Asa, and said to him, “Hear me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin! Yahweh is with you, while you are with him; and if you seek him, he will be found by you; but if you forsake him, he will forsake you.
2 A koy mo zama nga ma Asa kubay ka ne a se: «Ya Asa, wa maa ay se, nin da Yahuda da Benyamin kulu. Rabbi go araŋ banda duumi d'araŋ go a banda. D'araŋ n'a ceeci, a ga naŋ araŋ ma du nga, amma d'araŋ n'a furu, nga mo g'araŋ furu.
2and he went out to meet Asa, and said unto him, Hear ye me, Asa, and all Judah and Benjamin: Jehovah is with you, while ye are with him; and if ye seek him, he will be found of you; but if ye forsake him, he will forsake you.
3Now for a long time Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law.
3 A go binde, Israyla gay kaŋ i sinda Irikoy cimi-cimo wala alfaga kaŋ ga dondonandi, wala asariya.
3Now for a long season Israel was without the true God, and without a teaching priest, and without law:
4But when in their distress they turned to Yahweh, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found by them.
4 Amma d'i go kankami ra, nga no, i ga bare ka ye Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo do, i g'a ceeci mo, a ga naŋ i ma du nga.
4But when in their distress they turned unto Jehovah, the God of Israel, and sought him, he was found of them.
5In those times there was no peace to him who went out, nor to him who came in; but great troubles were on all the inhabitants of the lands.
5 Jirbey din ra binde baani si no boro kaŋ ga fatta, wala boro kaŋ ga furo se, amma masiiba boobo go laabey gorokoy kulu boŋ.
5And in those times there was no peace to him that went out, nor to him that came in; but great vexations were upon all the inhabitants of the lands.
6They were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God troubled them with all adversity.
6 I halaci mo: laabey da care, galley mo da care, zama Irikoy n'i taabandi da masiiba kulu dumi.
6And they were broken in pieces, nation against nation, and city against city; for God did vex them with all adversity.
7But you be strong, and don’t let your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.”
7 Amma kal araŋ ma te gaabi, araŋ kambey ma si yay, zama araŋ ga du araŋ goyo alhakku.»
7But be ye strong, and let not your hands be slack; for your work shall be rewarded.
8When Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Yahweh, that was before the porch of Yahweh.
8 Waato kaŋ cine Asa maa Oded annabitaray sanney, kal a te bine-gaabi ka fantayaŋ harey kulu kaa Yahuda da Benyamin laabey kulu ra, da galley kaŋ yaŋ a ŋwa mo koyne Ifraymu tondey ra. A na Rabbi sargay feema kaŋ go Rabbi windi me batama ra goyo tunandi mo.
8And when Asa heard these words, and the prophecy of Oded the prophet, he took courage, and put away the abominations out of all the land of Judah and Benjamin, and out of the cities which he had taken from the hill-country of Ephraim; and he renewed the altar of Jehovah, that was before the porch of Jehovah.
9He gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and those who lived with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Yahweh his God was with him.
9 A ye ka Yahuda nda Benyamin kulu margu, da borey kaŋ yaŋ goono ga yawtaray goray te i ra, Ifraymu nda Manasse da Simeyon waney no, zama boro boobo ceeri ka ye a do Israyla ra, waato kaŋ cine i di Rabbi a Irikoyo go a banda.
9And he gathered all Judah and Benjamin, and them that sojourned with them out of Ephraim and Manasseh, and out of Simeon: for they fell to him out of Israel in abundance, when they saw that Jehovah his God was with him.
10So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
10 Woodin se no i margu Urusalima handu hinzanta ra, Asa mayra jiiri way cindi guwanta ra.
10So they gathered themselves together at Jerusalem in the third month, in the fifteenth year of the reign of Asa.
11They sacrificed to Yahweh in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred head of cattle and seven thousand sheep.
11 I na sargay te Rabbi se han din hane, wongu arzaka kaŋ i kande din ra, haw zangu iyye da feeji zambar iyye.
11And they sacrificed unto Jehovah in that day, of the spoil which they had brought, seven hundred oxen and seven thousand sheep.
12They entered into the covenant to seek Yahweh, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
12 I na alkawli sambu ka ne ngey ga Rabbi ngey kaayey Irikoyo ceeci da ngey biney kulu da ngey fundey kulu.
12And they entered into the covenant to seek Jehovah, the God of their fathers, with all their heart and with all their soul;
13and that whoever would not seek Yahweh, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
13 Koyne, boro kulu kaŋ wangu ka Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo ceeci, i g'a wi, da boro kayna no, wala boro beeri; da alboro no, wala wayboro.
13and that whosoever would not seek Jehovah, the God of Israel, should be put to death, whether small or great, whether man or woman.
14They swore to Yahweh with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
14 I ze Rabbi se da jinde beeri, da kuuwayaŋ mo, da hilliyaŋ, da haŋ kaŋ i ga kar kulu.
14And they sware unto Jehovah with a loud voice, and with shouting, and with trumpets, and with cornets.
15All Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Yahweh gave them rest all around.
15 Yahuda kulu binde farhã zeyaŋo sabbay se, zama i ze da ngey biney kulu, i na Rabbi ceeci mo da anniya kulu me. A naŋ i ma du nga mo. Rabbi mo n'i windi nda fulanzamay nangu kulu.
15And all Judah rejoiced at the oath; for they had sworn with all their heart, and sought him with their whole desire; and he was found of them: and Jehovah gave them rest round about.
16Also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
16 Bonkoono Asa kaay waybora Maaka cine ra mo, Asa n'a kaa koytaray, zama a na kazaamataray waybora himandi te, bundu tooru wane. Asa binde n'a himando din beeri ka pati-pati k'a te hamni k'a ton Cidron gooro ra.
16And also Maacah, the mother of Asa the king, he removed from being queen, because she had made an abominable image for an Asherah; and Asa cut down her image, and made dust of it, and burnt it at the brook Kidron.
17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
17 Amma i mana tudey boŋ sududuyaŋ nangey ganandi Israyla ra. Kulu nda yaadin Asa bina go timmante nga fundo jirbey kulu ra.
17But the high places were not taken away out of Israel: nevertheless the heart of Asa was perfect all his days.
18He brought into God’s house the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
18 Jinayey kaŋ a baabo fay waani, da jinayey kaŋ nga bumbo fay waani: wura nda nzarfu taasayaŋ, a kand'ey Irikoy windo ra.
18And he brought into the house of God the things that his father had dedicated, and that he himself had dedicated, silver, and gold, and vessels.
19There was no more war to the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
19 I mana ye ka wongu fo te koyne kal a to Asa mayra ra jiiri waranza cindi gu.
19And there was no more war unto the five and thirtieth year of the reign of Asa.
