Colossians

2

1For I desire to have you know how greatly I struggle for you, and for those at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
1 Zama ay ga ba araŋ ma bay ay tangami bambata gaa kaŋ ay go ga te araŋ sabbay se, da ngey mo sabbay se kaŋ go Lawodisiya ra, da borey kulu mo kaŋ mana di ay mo-da-mo.
1For I would have you know how greatly I strive for you, and for them at Laodicea, and for as many as have not seen my face in the flesh;
2that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and gaining all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, both of the Father and of Christ,
2 Ay go ga tangam zama i biney ma du gaabi, i ma goro margante baakasinay ra hal i ma du arzaka kaŋ ga fun fahamay tabbatante ra. Woodin yaŋ no ga naŋ i ma Irikoy gundo bay, kaŋ ga ti Almasihu.
2that their hearts may be comforted, they being knit together in love, and unto all riches of the full assurance of understanding, that they may know the mystery of God, [even] Christ,
3in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.
3 A ra no laakal da bayray arzaka kulu go tugante.
3in whom are all the treasures of wisdom and knowledge hidden.
4Now this I say that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.
4 Woodin no ay goono ga ci hala boro kulu ma si araŋ halli nda sanni kaŋ ga darandi.
4This I say, that no one may delude you with persuasiveness of speech.
5For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, rejoicing and seeing your order, and the steadfastness of your faith in Christ.
5 Zama baa kaŋ ay si araŋ do noodin gaaham ra, ay go araŋ do Biya _Hanno|_ ra. Ay goono ga farhã ka di mate kaŋ araŋ sasare ka kay care banda nda gaabi araŋ cimbeero do Almasihu ra.
5For though I am absent in the flesh, yet am I with you in the spirit, joying and beholding your order, and the stedfastness of your faith in Christ.
6As therefore you received Christ Jesus, the Lord, walk in him,
6 Mate kaŋ araŋ na Rabbi Almasihu Yesu ta, yaadin cine mo no a ga hima araŋ ma dira a ra.
6As therefore ye received Christ Jesus the Lord, [so] walk in him,
7rooted and built up in him, and established in the faith, even as you were taught, abounding in it in thanksgiving.
7 Araŋ kaajey sinji a ra. Araŋ cina a boŋ mo hal araŋ te gaabi cimbeeri ra, mate kaŋ cine i n'araŋ dondonandi nd'a. Araŋ goono ga yulwa a ra da saabuyaŋ mo.
7rooted and builded up in him, and established in your faith, even as ye were taught, abounding in thanksgiving.
8Be careful that you don’t let anyone rob you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the elements of the world, and not after Christ.
8 Araŋ ma te laakal hala boro kulu ma si du araŋ da nga bayray da halliyaŋ yaamey, borey alaadey boŋ da ndunnya hayey boŋ, kaŋ manti Almasihu boŋ.
8Take heed lest there shall be any one that maketh spoil of you through his philosophy and vain deceit, after the tradition of men, after the rudiments of the world, and not after Christ:
9For in him all the fullness of the Godhead dwells bodily,
9 Zama a ra no Irikoytara toonanta kulu goono ga goro a gaahamo ra.
9for in him dwelleth all the fulness of the Godhead bodily,
10and in him you are made full, who is the head of all principality and power;
10 Irikoy n'araŋ toonandi Almasihu ra mo, nga kaŋ ga ti koytaray da hin kulu boŋo.
10and in him ye are made full, who is the head of all principality and power:
11in whom you were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the sins of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
11 A ra mo no i n'araŋ dambangu*, manti nda dambanguyaŋ kaŋ kambe ga te bo, amma da Almasihu wane dambanguyaŋo kaŋ a te, kaŋ na Adam-ize daa laalo dabaro kaa.
11in whom ye were also circumcised with a circumcision not made with hands, in the putting off of the body of the flesh, in the circumcision of Christ;
12having been buried with him in baptism, in which you were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
12 I n'araŋ fiji a banda baptisma* ra, i n'araŋ tunandi mo a banda, _araŋ|_ cimbeero do Irikoy goyo ra, nga kaŋ na Almasihu tunandi ka kaa buukoy game ra.
12having been buried with him in baptism, wherein ye were also raised with him through faith in the working of God, who raised him from the dead.
13You were dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh. He made you alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses,
13 Araŋ mo kaŋ go buukoyaŋ araŋ taaley d'araŋ Adam-ize daa laala dambanguyaŋ-jaŋay sabbay se, Irikoy n'araŋ funandi a banda k'iri taaley kulu yaafa iri se.
13And you, being dead through your trespasses and the uncircumcision of your flesh, you, [I say], did he make alive together with him, having forgiven us all our trespasses;
14wiping out the handwriting in ordinances which was against us; and he has taken it out of the way, nailing it to the cross;
14 Asariya* hantumo kaŋ kay iri gaa ka gaaba nd'iri mo, Irikoy n'a tuusu ka kaa k'a kanji kanjiyaŋ* bundo gaa.
14having blotted out the bond written in ordinances that was against us, which was contrary to us: and he hath taken it out that way, nailing it to the cross;
15having stripped the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
15 A na koyey da hinkoyey kaa nga gaa. Gaa no a n'i haawandi taray kwaaray ka du zaama i boŋ kanjiyaŋ bundo do.
15having despoiled the principalities and the powers, he made a show of them openly, triumphing over them in it.
16Let no one therefore judge you in eating, or in drinking, or with respect to a feast day or a new moon or a Sabbath day,
16 Wa si ta boro kulu m'araŋ ciiti ŋwa da haŋ ciine ra, wala batu hane, wala handu kayyaŋ, wala asibti* zaari ciine ra.
16Let no man therefore judge you in meat, or in drink, or in respect of a feast day or a new moon or a sabbath day:
17which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ’s.
17 Hayey din ya biyayaŋ* no hayey kaŋ yaŋ ga aniya ka kaa se, amma Almasihu ga ti biyey din Koyo.
17which are a shadow of the things to come; but the body is Christ's.
18Let no one rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he has not seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
18 Boro fooyaŋ go no kaŋ ga maa kaani ka ngey boŋ kaynandiyaŋ alhaali cabe ka sombu malaykey* se. Wa si naŋ borey wo dumi m'araŋ zamba k'araŋ zaamayaŋ alhakko zay. Borey din goono ga kay _bangayyaŋey|_ kaŋ ngey di ra. I ga ngey boŋ beerandi sabaabu si, ngey Adam-ize lasaabey boŋ.
18Let no man rob you of your prize by a voluntary humility and worshipping of the angels, dwelling in the things which he hath seen, vainly puffed up by his fleshly mind,
19and not holding firmly to the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and ligaments, grows with God’s growth.
19 I fay no ka fun boŋo gaa. A do no gaahamo kulu goono ga gaay ka haw care gaa dabey da kaajey do, ka tonton da toonandiyaŋ kaŋ ga fun Irikoy do.
19and not holding fast the Head, from whom all the body, being supplied and knit together through the joints and bands, increasing with the increase of God.
20If you died with Christ from the elements of the world, why, as though living in the world, do you subject yourselves to ordinances,
20 Za kaŋ araŋ bu Almasihu banda ka fay da ndunnya hayey, ifo se no araŋ goono g'araŋ gora te danga ndunnya goray, k'a lordey* gana.
20If ye died with Christ from the rudiments of the world, why, as though living in the world, do ye subject yourselves to ordinances,
21“Don’t handle, nor taste, nor touch”
21 Danga i ma ne: «Ma si woone ham! Ma si woone taba! Ma si lamba woone gaa!»
21Handle not, nor taste, nor touch
22(all of which perish with use), according to the precepts and doctrines of men?
22 Hayey din binde ga halaci ngey goyey ra, zama i n'i sinji borey lordey* d'i dondonandiyaŋey boŋ.
22(all which things are to perish with the using), after the precepts and doctrines of men?
23Which things indeed appear like wisdom in self-imposed worship, and humility, and severity to the body; but aren’t of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
23 Hayey din ga hima danga i gonda laakal, zama fundi ibaay sombuyaŋ anniya ra n'i bara, da boŋ kaynandiyaŋ da gaaham taabandiyaŋ ra, amma i sinda nafa kulu gaaham ibaay laaley boŋ hiniyaŋ se.
23Which things have indeed a show of wisdom in will-worship, and humility, and severity to the body; [but are] not of any value against the indulgence of the flesh.
