¹These are the statutes and the ordinances which you shall observe to do in the land which Yahweh, the God of your fathers, has given you to possess it, all the days that you live on the earth.

¹ Hin sanney da ciiti sanney neeya kaŋ yaŋ araŋ ga haggoy. Araŋ m'i te mo laabo kaŋ Rabbi ni kaayey Irikoyo na ni no mayray hari din ra, kala ni jirbey kulu kaŋ ni ga funa ndunnya ra me.

¹These are the statutes and the ordinances which ye shall observe to do in the land which Jehovah, the God of thy fathers, hath given thee to possess it, all the days that ye live upon the earth.

²You shall surely destroy all the places in which the nations that you shall dispossess served their gods, on the high mountains, and on the hills, and under every green tree:

²Ye shall surely destroy all the places wherein the nations that ye shall dispossess served their gods, upon the high mountains, and upon the hills, and under every green tree:

³and you shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and you shall cut down the engraved images of their gods; and you shall destroy their name out of that place.

³ Araŋ m'i sargay feemey bagu-bagu, k'i tondi ganjey pati-pati, k'i wayboro himandi bundu toorey ton danji ra. Araŋ m'i tooru himandi jabantey beeri-beeri mo. Araŋ m'i maayey halaci k'i tuusu nango din ra.

³and ye shall break down their altars, and dash in pieces their pillars, and burn their Asherim with fire; and ye shall hew down the graven images of their gods; and ye shall destroy their name out of that place.

⁴You shall not do so to Yahweh your God.

⁵But to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even to his habitation you shall seek, and there you shall come;

⁵ Nango kaŋ Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo ga suuban araŋ dumey kulu game ra, ka nga maa daŋ noodin, danga a nangora nooya, araŋ ma noodin ceeci. Noodin mo no araŋ ga koy ka margu.

⁵But unto the place which Jehovah your God shall choose out of all your tribes, to put his name there, even unto his habitation shall ye seek, and thither thou shalt come;

⁶and there you shall bring your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill offerings, and the firstborn of your herd and of your flock:

⁶and thither ye shall bring your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, and your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and your vows, and your freewill-offerings, and the firstlings of your herd and of your flock:

⁷and there you shall eat before Yahweh your God, and you shall rejoice in all that you put your hand to, you and your households, in which Yahweh your God has blessed you.

⁷and there ye shall eat before Jehovah your God, and ye shall rejoice in all that ye put your hand unto, ye and your households, wherein Jehovah thy God hath blessed thee.

⁸You shall not do after all the things that we do here this day, every man whatever is right in his own eyes;

⁹for you haven’t yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Yahweh your God gives you.

⁹for ye are not as yet come to the rest and to the inheritance, which Jehovah thy God giveth thee.

¹⁰But when you go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Yahweh your God causes you to inherit, and he gives you rest from all your enemies around you, so that you dwell in safety;

¹⁰But when ye go over the Jordan, and dwell in the land which Jehovah your God causeth you to inherit, and he giveth you rest from all your enemies round about, so that ye dwell in safety;

¹¹then it shall happen that to the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, there you shall bring all that I command you: your burnt offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the wave offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which you vow to Yahweh.

¹¹then it shall come to pass that to the place which Jehovah your God shall choose, to cause his name to dwell there, thither shall ye bring all that I command you: your burnt-offerings, and your sacrifices, your tithes, and the heave-offering of your hand, and all your choice vows which ye vow unto Jehovah.

¹²You shall rejoice before Yahweh your God, you, and your sons, and your daughters, and your male servants, and your female servants, and the Levite who is within your gates, because he has no portion nor inheritance with you.

¹²And ye shall rejoice before Jehovah your God, ye, and your sons, and your daughters, and your men-servants, and your maid-servants, and the Levite that is within your gates, forasmuch as he hath no portion nor inheritance with you.

¹³Take heed to yourself that you don’t offer your burnt offerings in every place that you see;

¹³Take heed to thyself that thou offer not thy burnt-offerings in every place that thou seest;

¹⁴but in the place which Yahweh shall choose in one of your tribes, there you shall offer your burnt offerings, and there you shall do all that I command you.

¹⁴but in the place which Jehovah shall choose in one of thy tribes, there thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, and there thou shalt do all that I command thee.

¹⁵Notwithstanding, you may kill and eat flesh within all your gates, after all the desire of your soul, according to the blessing of Yahweh your God which he has given you: the unclean and the clean may eat of it, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

¹⁵ Kulu nda yaadin, i yadda ni se ni ma ham wi ka ŋwa ni windey kulu ra, ni bine ibaay kulu boŋ, albarka kulu boŋ kaŋ Rabbi ni Irikoyo ga ni no. Boro kaŋ si hanan ma ŋwa a gaa danga boro kaŋ ga hanan cine, mate kaŋ araŋ ga te da buka wala jeeri cine.

¹⁵Notwithstanding, thou mayest kill and eat flesh within all thy gates, after all the desire of thy soul, according to the blessing of Jehovah thy God which he hath given thee: the unclean and the clean may eat thereof, as of the gazelle, and as of the hart.

¹⁷ I si yadda ni ma ni fari zakka ŋwa ni windo ra, wala ni reyzin* hari zakka, wala ni jiyo wane, wala ni haw wala feeji kurey hay-jiney, wala ni sarti kulu kaŋ ni ga sarti sambu a boŋ, wala ni bine yadda nooyaŋey, wala nooyaŋey kaŋ ni kambe ga salle beene.

¹⁷Thou mayest not eat within thy gates the tithe of thy grain, or of thy new wine, or of thine oil, or the firstlings of thy herd or of thy flock, nor any of thy vows which thou vowest, nor thy freewill-offerings, nor the heave-offering of thy hand;

¹⁸but you shall eat them before Yahweh your God in the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, you, and your son, and your daughter, and your male servant, and your female servant, and the Levite who is within your gates: and you shall rejoice before Yahweh your God in all that you put your hand to.

¹⁸but thou shalt eat them before Jehovah thy God in the place which Jehovah thy God shall choose, thou, and thy son, and thy daughter, and thy man-servant, and thy maid-servant, and the Levite that is within thy gates: and thou shalt rejoice before Jehovah thy God in all that thou puttest thy hand unto.

¹⁹Take heed to yourself that you don’t forsake the Levite as long as you live in your land.

¹⁹ Ma haggoy da ni boŋ! Ma si Lawiti furu waati kulu kaŋ ni go ni laabo ra ga goro.

¹⁹Take heed to thyself that thou forsake not the Levite as long as thou livest in thy land.

²⁰When Yahweh your God shall enlarge your border, as he has promised you, and you shall say, “I want to eat meat,” because your soul desires to eat meat; you may eat meat, after all the desire of your soul.

²⁰ Rabbi ga ni hirro tuti ka beerandi mate kaŋ a na alkawli sambu ka ne ni se. Waati din, hala ni ma ne: «Ay ga ham ŋwa,» zama ni bina ga ba ham ŋwaari, to. I yadda ni se ni ma ham ŋwa ni bine ibaay kulu boŋ.

²⁰When Jehovah thy God shall enlarge thy border, as he hath promised thee, and thou shalt say, I will eat flesh, because thy soul desireth to eat flesh; thou mayest eat flesh, after all the desire of thy soul.

²¹If the place which Yahweh your God shall choose, to put his name there, is too far from you, then you shall kill of your herd and of your flock, which Yahweh has given you, as I have commanded you; and you may eat within your gates, after all the desire of your soul.

²⁵Thou shalt not eat it; that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee, when thou shalt do that which is right in the eyes of Jehovah.

²⁶Only your holy things which you have, and your vows, you shall take, and go to the place which Yahweh shall choose:

²⁶ Kala day, ni hayey kaŋ ni fay waani, da ni sartey waney, ni g'i sambu ka kond'ey nango kaŋ Rabbi ga suuban.

²⁶Only thy holy things which thou hast, and thy vows, thou shalt take, and go unto the place which Jehovah shall choose:

²⁷and you shall offer your burnt offerings, the flesh and the blood, on the altar of Yahweh your God; and the blood of your sacrifices shall be poured out on the altar of Yahweh your God; and you shall eat the flesh.

²⁷ Ni ga ni sargayey kaŋ i ga ton salle mo, ham da nga kuro kulu, noodin Rabbi ni Irikoyo feema boŋ. I ga ni sargay kuro dooru Rabbi ni Irikoyo sargay feema gaa, ni ga hamo ŋwa mo.

²⁷and thou shalt offer thy burnt-offerings, the flesh and the blood, upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and the blood of thy sacrifices shall be poured out upon the altar of Jehovah thy God; and thou shalt eat the flesh.

²⁸Observe and hear all these words which I command you, that it may go well with you, and with your children after you forever, when you do that which is good and right in the eyes of Yahweh your God.

²⁸ Ma te laakal ka hanga jeeri sanney din kulu kaŋ ay go ga ni lordi nd'a se. Yaadin gaa no ni ga goro baani, nin da ni izey ni banda hal abada, waati kaŋ ni ga haŋ kaŋ ga boori te, a ga saba mo Rabbi ni Irikoyo diyaŋ gaa.

²⁸Observe and hear all these words which I command thee, that it may go well with thee, and with thy children after thee for ever, when thou doest that which is good and right in the eyes of Jehovah thy God.

²⁹When Yahweh your God shall cut off the nations from before you, where you go in to dispossess them, and you dispossess them, and dwell in their land;

²⁹ Rabbi ni Irikoyo ga dumey din halaci ni jine, naŋ kaŋ ni ga furo k'i laabey ŋwa, hala mo ni g'i ŋwa ka goro i laabo ra.

²⁹When Jehovah thy God shall cut off the nations from before thee, whither thou goest in to dispossess them, and thou dispossessest them, and dwellest in their land;

³⁰take heed to yourself that you not be ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before you; and that you not inquire after their gods, saying, “How do these nations serve their gods? I will do likewise.”

³⁰ Waato din gaa, kala ni ma haggoy da ni boŋ, i ma si ni di hirrimi ra i ganayaŋ ra waati kaŋ i jin ka halaci ni jine. Haggoy ni ma si i de-koyey baaru hã ka ne: «Mate cine no dumey din may d'a ngey de-koyey se? Naŋ ay mo ma te yaadin.»

³⁰take heed to thyself that thou be not ensnared to follow them, after that they are destroyed from before thee; and that thou inquire not after their gods, saying, How do these nations serve their gods? even so will I do likewise.

³¹You shall not do so to Yahweh your God: for every abomination to Yahweh, which he hates, have they done to their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.

³¹ Abada! Ni ma si te Rabbi ni Irikoyo se yaadin! Zama hay kulu kaŋ fanta hari no Rabbi jine, kaŋ a ga konna mo, woodin no i te ngey de-koyey se. Baa i ize arey d'i ize wayey, i g'i ton danji ra ngey de-koyey se.

³¹Thou shalt not do so unto Jehovah thy God: for every abomination to Jehovah, which he hateth, have they done unto their gods; for even their sons and their daughters do they burn in the fire to their gods.

³²Whatever thing I command you, that you shall observe to do: you shall not add thereto, nor diminish from it.

³² Hay kulu me kaŋ ay g'araŋ lordi nd'a, woodin no araŋ ga haggoy ka te. Ni ma si tonton a gaa, ma si zabu a gaa mo.

³²What thing soever I command you, that shall ye observe to do: thou shalt not add thereto, nor diminish from it.
