1Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, to battle at Edrei.
1Then we turned, and went up the way to Bashan: and Og the king of Bashan came out against us, he and all his people, unto battle at Edrei.
2Yahweh said to me, “Don’t fear him; for I have delivered him, and all his people, and his land, into your hand; and you shall do to him as you did to Sihon king of the Amorites, who lived at Heshbon.”
2And Jehovah said unto me, Fear him not; for I have delivered him, and all his people, and his land, into thy hand; and thou shalt do unto him as thou didst unto Sihon king of the Amorites, who dwelt at Heshbon.
3So Yahweh our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we struck him until none was left to him remaining.
3 Yaadin no Rabbi iri Irikoyo na Basan bonkoono Og daŋ iri kambe ra d'a, nga nda nga jama kulu. Iri n'a kar k'a mallaka mo kala baa boro folloŋ mana cindi a se.
3So Jehovah our God delivered into our hand Og also, the king of Bashan, and all his people: and we smote him until none was left to him remaining.
4We took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we didn’t take from them; sixty cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
4 Waato din gaa no iri n'a kwaarey kulu di. I sinda baa kwaara fo kaŋ iri mana ta i gaa, kwaara waydu no kaŋ yaŋ go Argob laabo ra, Og mayra kaŋ go Basan nooya.
4And we took all his cities at that time; there was not a city which we took not from them; threescore cities, all the region of Argob, the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
5All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the unwalled towns a great many.
5 Kwaarey din kulu, i n'i gaabandi nda birni cinari kuuku yaŋ, da birni me daabirji yaŋ da karangaleyaŋ. Woodin yaŋ baa si mo, kawye kayna kaŋ sinda birni cinari boobo go no.
5All these were cities fortified with high walls, gates, and bars; besides the unwalled towns a great many.
6We utterly destroyed them, as we did to Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.
6 Iri n'i kulu mallaka mo, mate kaŋ cine iri te Hesbon bonkoono Sihon se. Iri n'a kwaarey kulu halaci parkatak, alborey da wayborey da zankey mo.
6And we utterly destroyed them, as we did unto Sihon king of Heshbon, utterly destroying every inhabited city, with the women and the little ones.
7But all the livestock, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey to ourselves.
7 Amma almaney kulu da kwaarey din arzakey, iri n'i sambu wongu riiba iri boŋ se.
7But all the cattle, and the spoil of the cities, we took for a prey unto ourselves.
8We took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites who were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon to Mount Hermon.
8 Alwaato din no iri na laabo din mayra ta Amorance bonkooni hinka din kambe ra kaŋ yaŋ go Urdun daŋanta, za Arnon gooro gaa ka to hala Hermon tondi kuuko gaa.
8And we took the land at that time out of the hand of the two kings of the Amorites that were beyond the Jordan, from the valley of the Arnon unto mount Hermon;
9(The Sidonians call Hermon Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir.)
9([which] Hermon the Sidonians call Sirion, and the Amorites call it Senir;)
10We took all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, to Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
10 I na kwaarey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go batama ra ŋwa mo, da Jileyad da Basan laabu kulu mo. Iri to hala Saleka nda Edrey, kwaara hinka kaŋ go Og mayra ra, Basan laabo ra.
10all the cities of the plain, and all Gilead, and all Bashan, unto Salecah and Edrei, cities of the kingdom of Og in Bashan.
11(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; isn’t it in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was its length, and four cubits its breadth, after the cubit of a man.)
11 (Zama Basan bonkoono Og wo, nga hinne no ka cindi Refayimyaŋ ra. Guna mo, a dima guuru-bi dima no. Manti a go noodin Amon izey kwaara Rabba ra? A kuuyaŋo kambe kar yagga no, a hayyaŋo mo kambe kar taaci, Adam-ize neesiyaŋ boŋ.)
11(For only Og king of Bashan remained of the remnant of the Rephaim; behold, his bedstead was a bedstead of iron; is it not in Rabbah of the children of Ammon? nine cubits was the length thereof, and four cubits the breadth of it, after the cubit of a man.)
12This land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill country of Gilead, and its cities, gave I to the Reubenites and to the Gadites:
12 Laabo din binde, iri n'a mayra ŋwa waato din. Za Arower kaŋ go Arnon gooro ra ka koy Jileyad tudey boŋ laabu jara, da noodin kwaarey kulu, ay n'i no Ruben da Gad kundey se.
12And this land we took in possession at that time: from Aroer, which is by the valley of the Arnon, and half the hill-country of Gilead, and the cities thereof, gave I unto the Reubenites and to the Gadites:
13and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I to the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim.
13 Jileyad jare fa kaŋ cindi mo, da Basan bonkoono Og laabo kulu, ay n'i no Manasse kunda jara se, sanda Argob laabo kulu, da Basan laabo kulu. (I ga ne noodin se Refayimey laabu mo.)
13and the rest of Gilead, and all Bashan, the kingdom of Og, gave I unto the half-tribe of Manasseh; all the region of Argob, even all Bashan. (The same is called the land of Rephaim.
14Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, to the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth Jair, to this day.)
14 Manasse kunda ize fo Yayir na Argob laabo kulu ŋwa ka to hala Gesur borey da Maaka borey hirro me gaa. A na nangey din mo ce nda nga bumbo maa, danga Basan laabu nooya, ka ne i se Habbot-Yayir hala ka kaa hunkuna.
14Jair the son of Manasseh took all the region of Argob, unto the border of the Geshurites and the Maacathites, and called them, even Bashan, after his own name, Havvoth-jair, unto this day.)
15I gave Gilead to Machir.
15 Ay na Jileyad mo no Macir se.
15And I gave Gilead unto Machir.
16To the Reubenites and to the Gadites I gave from Gilead even to the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and its border, even to the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
16 Ruben da Gad kundey, ay na Jileyad ka koy to Arnon gooro ra no i se. Gooro bindo ga ciya i se hirri. A ga to Yabok gooro me kaŋ ga ti Amon izey hirro me.
16And unto the Reubenites and unto the Gadites I gave from Gilead even unto the valley of the Arnon, the middle of the valley, and the border [thereof], even unto the river Jabbok, which is the border of the children of Ammon;
17the Arabah also, and the Jordan and its border, from Chinnereth even to the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.
17 I du Gooru Beero batama mo. Noodin Urdun isa te i se hirri, za Cinneret ka koy Gooru Beero Teeko gaa, danga Ciiri Teeko nooya, kaŋ go Pisga tondi kuuko gangara cire, wayna funay haray.
17the Arabah also, and the Jordan and the border [thereof], from Chinnereth even unto the sea of the Arabah, the Salt Sea, under the slopes of Pisgah eastward.
18I commanded you at that time, saying, “Yahweh your God has given you this land to possess it: you shall pass over armed before your brothers the children of Israel, all the men of valor.
18 Waato din mo ay n'araŋ lordi ka ne: «Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo n'araŋ no laabo wo a ma ciya araŋ wane. Araŋ soojey kulu ma isa daŋandi d'araŋ wongu jinayey ga koto, ka koy araŋ nya-izey Israyla izey jine.
18And I commanded you at that time, saying, Jehovah your God hath given you this land to possess it: ye shall pass over armed before your brethren the children of Israel, all the men of valor.
19But your wives, and your little ones, and your livestock, (I know that you have much livestock), shall live in your cities which I have given you,
19 Amma araŋ wandey d'araŋ zankey d'araŋ almaney (zama ay bay kaŋ araŋ gonda alman boobo) ngey wo ga goro araŋ kwaarey kaŋ ay n'araŋ no din ra.
19But your wives, and your little ones, and your cattle, (I know that ye have much cattle,) shall abide in your cities which I have given you,
20until Yahweh gives rest to your brothers, as to you, and they also possess the land which Yahweh your God gives them beyond the Jordan: then you shall return every man to his possession, which I have given you.”
20 Araŋ g'araŋ nya-izey gaa hala waati kaŋ Rabbi ga ngey mo no fulanzamay, mate kaŋ cine a n'araŋ no, hal i ma furo ka laabo kaŋ Rabbi araŋ Irikoyo ga no i se din ŋwa, Urdun se ya-haray. Waato din gaa no araŋ boro fo kulu ga ye nga mayray haro kaŋ ay n'araŋ no din do.»
20until Jehovah give rest unto your brethren, as unto you, and they also possess the land which Jehovah your God giveth them beyond the Jordan: then shall ye return every man unto his possession, which I have given you.
21I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, “Your eyes have seen all that Yahweh your God has done to these two kings: so shall Yahweh do to all the kingdoms where you go over.
Yaadin cine mo no Rabbi ga te mayray kulu kaŋ araŋ ga daŋandi ka koy i do din se.
21And I commanded Joshua at that time, saying, Thine eyes have seen all that Jehovah your God hath done unto these two kings: so shall Jehovah do unto all the kingdoms whither thou goest over.
22You shall not fear them; for Yahweh your God, he it is who fights for you.”
22Ye shall not fear them; for Jehovah your God, he it is that fighteth for you.
23I begged Yahweh at that time, saying,
23And I besought Jehovah at that time, saying,
24 “Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” Yahweh, you have begun to show your servant your greatness, and your strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to your works, and according to your mighty acts?
24O Lord Jehovah, thou hast begun to show thy servant thy greatness, and thy strong hand: for what god is there in heaven or in earth, that can do according to thy works, and according to thy mighty acts?
25Please let me go over and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.”
25Let me go over, I pray thee, and see the good land that is beyond the Jordan, that goodly mountain, and Lebanon.
26But Yahweh was angry with me for your sakes, and didn’t listen to me; and Yahweh said to me, “Let it suffice you; speak no more to me of this matter.
26 Amma Rabbi dukur ay se araŋ sabbay se, a mana maa ay se mo. Kala Rabbi ne ay se: «A wasa! Ma si ye ka sanni woone ci ay se koyne.
26But Jehovah was wroth with me for your sakes, and hearkened not unto me; and Jehovah said unto me, Let it suffice thee; speak no more unto me of this matter.
27Go up to the top of Pisgah, and lift up your eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and see with your eyes: for you shall not go over this Jordan.
27Get thee up unto the top of Pisgah, and lift up thine eyes westward, and northward, and southward, and eastward, and behold with thine eyes: for thou shalt not go over this Jordan.
28But commission Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which you shall see.”
28 Amma ma sanno gaabandi Yasuwa se, k'a no gaabi, k'a bine gaabandi. Zama nga no ga furo jama wo jine ka daŋandi. A ga naŋ mo i ma laabo kaŋ ni ga guna din tubu.»
28But charge Joshua, and encourage him, and strengthen him; for he shall go over before this people, and he shall cause them to inherit the land which thou shalt see.
29So we stayed in the valley over against Beth Peor.
29 Iri binde goro noodin gooro kaŋ go Bayt-Peyor jine din ra.
29So we abode in the valley over against Beth-peor.
