Exodus

9

1Then Yahweh said to Moses, “Go in to Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
1 Waato din gaa Rabbi ne Musa se: «Ma furo Firawna do ka ne a se: ‹Yaa no Rabbi, Ibraniyancey Irikoyo ci: M'ay borey taŋ zama i ma may ay se.
1Then Jehovah said unto Moses, Go in unto Pharaoh, and tell him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
2For if you refuse to let them go, and hold them still,
2 Zama da ni wangu k'i taŋ, ni kay mo i gaayyaŋ se,
2For if thou refuse to let them go, and wilt hold them still,
3behold, the hand of Yahweh is on your livestock which are in the field, on the horses, on the donkeys, on the camels, on the herds, and on the flocks with a very grievous pestilence.
3 a go, Rabbi kamba ga dake ni almaney kaŋ yaŋ go saajo ra boŋ, bariyey da farkayey da yoy da haw kurey da feejey boŋ -- balaaw no kaŋ ga dungu gumo.
3behold, the hand of Jehovah is upon thy cattle which are in the field, upon the horses, upon the asses, upon the camels, upon the herds, and upon the flocks: [there shall be] a very grievous murrain.
4Yahweh will make a distinction between the livestock of Israel and the livestock of Egypt; and nothing shall die of all that belongs to the children of Israel.”’”
4 Rabbi ga almaney fay mo, Misira waney da Israyla waney. Hay kulu si bu Israyla izey waney ra.› »
4And Jehovah shall make a distinction between the cattle of Israel and the cattle of Egypt; and there shall nothing die of all that belongeth to the children of Israel.
5Yahweh appointed a set time, saying, “Tomorrow Yahweh shall do this thing in the land.”
5And Jehovah appointed a set time, saying, To-morrow Jehovah shall do this thing in the land.
6Yahweh did that thing on the next day; and all the livestock of Egypt died, but of the livestock of the children of Israel, not one died.
6 A suba mo Rabbi na woodin te. Misira almaney kulu bu, amma Israyla izey almaney ra baa afolloŋ mana bu.
6And Jehovah did that thing on the morrow; and all the cattle of Egypt died; but of the cattle of the children of Israel died not one.
7Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the livestock of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he didn’t let the people go.
7 Firawna binde donton ka hã. Kal i gar Israyla izey almaney, baa afolloŋ mana bu i ra. Amma Firawna bina sandi, a mana borey taŋ mo.
7And Pharaoh sent, and, behold, there was not so much as one of the cattle of the Israelites dead. But the heart of Pharaoh was stubborn, and he did not let the people go.
8Yahweh said to Moses and to Aaron, “Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward the sky in the sight of Pharaoh.
8 Kala Rabbi ne Musa nda Haruna se: «Wa ku feema ra boosu, araŋ kambey me fo. Musa mo m'a say beene, Firawna jine.
8And Jehovah said unto Moses and unto Aaron, Take to you handfuls of ashes of the furnace, and let Moses sprinkle it toward heaven in the sight of Pharaoh.
9It shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal, throughout all the land of Egypt.”
9 A ga ciya kusa baano Misira laabo kulu boŋ, a ma ciya jaŋyaŋ mo kaŋ ga fatta nda gugusi borey gaa da almaney gaa, Misira laabo kulu ra.»
9And it shall become small dust over all the land of Egypt, and shall be a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast, throughout all the land of Egypt.
10They took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward the sky; and it became a boil breaking out with boils on man and on animal.
10 Kal i na feema ra booso ku ka koy Firawna jine. Musa mo n'a say beene. A ciya jaŋ da gugusiyaŋ mo kaŋ fun borey da almaney gaa.
10And they took ashes of the furnace, and stood before Pharaoh; and Moses sprinkled it up toward heaven; and it became a boil breaking forth with blains upon man and upon beast.
11The magicians couldn’t stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were on the magicians, and on all the Egyptians.
11And the magicians could not stand before Moses because of the boils; for the boils were upon the magicians, and upon all the Egyptians.
12Yahweh hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he didn’t listen to them, as Yahweh had spoken to Moses.
12 Rabbi na Firawna bina sandandi koyne. A mana maa i sanno se mo, sanda mate kaŋ Rabbi ci Musa se.
12And Jehovah hardened the heart of Pharaoh, and he hearkened not unto them, as Jehovah had spoken unto Moses.
13Yahweh said to Moses, “Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and tell him, ‘This is what Yahweh, the God of the Hebrews, says: “Let my people go, that they may serve me.
13And Jehovah said unto Moses, Rise up early in the morning, and stand before Pharaoh, and say unto him, Thus saith Jehovah, the God of the Hebrews, Let my people go, that they may serve me.
14For this time I will send all my plagues against your heart, against your officials, and against your people; that you may know that there is none like me in all the earth.
14 Zama alwaati woone ra no ay g'ay azaabey kulu samba ni bina da ni bannyey da ni borey boŋ, zama ni ma bay kaŋ ay cine si no ndunnya kulu ra.
14For I will this time send all my plagues upon thy heart, and upon thy servants, and upon thy people; that thou mayest know that there is none like me in all the earth.
15For now I would have stretched out my hand, and struck you and your people with pestilence, and you would have been cut off from the earth;
15 Zama sohõ d'i ne ay n'ay kamba salle no ka ni kar da balaaw, nin da ni borey, doŋ i na ni tuusu ndunnya ra.
15For now I had put forth my hand, and smitten thee and thy people with pestilence, and thou hadst been cut off from the earth:
16but indeed for this cause I have made you stand: to show you my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth;
16 Woone se no ay na ni no beeray: hal ay m'ay dabaro cabe ni se. Zama i m'ay maa baaro fe no ndunnya kulu ra.
16but in very deed for this cause have I made thee to stand, to show thee my power, and that my name may be declared throughout all the earth.
17as you still exalt yourself against my people, that you won’t let them go.
17 Hala hõ ni go ga boŋbeeray te ka gaaba nd'ay jama, hala ni ga wangu k'i taŋ.
17As yet exaltest thou thyself against my people, that thou wilt not let them go?
18Behold, tomorrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as has not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
18 Guna, suba mãsancine ay ga naŋ gari ma te, gude bambata yaŋ kaŋ ga baa, kaŋ dumi mana te Misira za a sinjiyaŋ hala ka kaa hunkuna.
18Behold, to-morrow about this time I will cause it to rain a very grievous hail, such as hath not been in Egypt since the day it was founded even until now.
19Now therefore command that all of your livestock and all that you have in the field be brought into shelter. Every man and animal that is found in the field, and isn’t brought home, the hail shall come down on them, and they shall die.”’”
19 Sohõ binde, ni ma donton da waasi ka naŋ i ma kande almaney kulu da hay kulu kaŋ go ni se, kaŋ go saajo ra, zama boro nda alman kulu kaŋ i gar saajo ra, kaŋ yaŋ mana koy fu, gariyo din ga kaŋ i boŋ. I ga bu mo.› »
19Now therefore send, hasten in thy cattle and all that thou hast in the field; [for] every man and beast that shall be found in the field, and shall not be brought home, the hail shall come down upon them, and they shall die.
20Those who feared the word of Yahweh among the servants of Pharaoh made their servants and their livestock flee into the houses.
20 Firawna bannyey ra boro kulu kaŋ humburu Rabbi sanno daŋ nga goy-teerey da nga almaney ma zuru ka furo fuwey ra.
20He that feared the word of Jehovah among the servants of Pharaoh made his servants and his cattle flee into the houses.
21Whoever didn’t respect the word of Yahweh left his servants and his livestock in the field.
21And he that regarded not the word of Jehovah left his servants and his cattle in the field.
22Yahweh said to Moses, “Stretch out your hand toward the sky, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, on man, and on animal, and on every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.”
22 Rabbi ne Musa se: «Ni kamba sambu beene hala gari ma te Misira laabo kulu ra boro nda alman da saajo ra kobto kulu boŋ, nangu kulu Misira laabo ra.»
22And Jehovah said unto Moses, Stretch forth thy hand toward heaven, that there may be hail in all the land of Egypt, upon man, and upon beast, and upon every herb of the field, throughout the land of Egypt.
23Moses stretched out his rod toward the heavens, and Yahweh sent thunder, hail, and lightning flashed down to the earth. Yahweh rained hail on the land of Egypt.
23And Moses stretched forth his rod toward heaven: and Jehovah sent thunder and hail, and fire ran down unto the earth; and Jehovah rained hail upon the land of Egypt.
24So there was very severe hail, and lightning mixed with the hail, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
24So there was hail, and fire mingled with the hail, very grievous, such as had not been in all the land of Egypt since it became a nation.
25The hail struck throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and animal; and the hail struck every herb of the field, and broke every tree of the field.
25 Gariyo na saaji ra hay kulu kar nangu kulu Misira laabo ra, boro nda alman. A na saajo tuuro kulu kar ka saaji tuuri-nya kulu mo ceeri.
25And the hail smote throughout all the land of Egypt all that was in the field, both man and beast; and the hail smote every herb of the field, and brake every tree of the field.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, there was no hail.
26 Kala day Gosen laabo hinne, nango kaŋ Israyla izey bara, gari mana te noodin.
26Only in the land of Goshen, where the children of Israel were, was there no hail.
27Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said to them, “I have sinned this time. Yahweh is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
Rabbi ya adilitaraykoy no, ay mo, in d'ay jama, boro laaloyaŋ no.
27And Pharaoh sent, and called for Moses and Aaron, and said unto them, I have sinned this time: Jehovah is righteous, and I and my people are wicked.
28Pray to Yahweh; for there has been enough of mighty thunderings and hail. I will let you go, and you shall stay no longer.”
28Entreat Jehovah; for there hath been enough of [these] mighty thunderings and hail; and I will let you go, and ye shall stay no longer.
29Moses said to him, “As soon as I have gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands to Yahweh. The thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that you may know that the earth is Yahweh’s.
29And Moses said unto him, As soon as I am gone out of the city, I will spread abroad my hands unto Jehovah; the thunders shall cease, neither shall there be any more hail; that thou mayest know that the earth is Jehovah's.
30But as for you and your servants, I know that you don’t yet fear Yahweh God.”
30 Amma nin da ni bannyey sanney gaa, ay bay kaŋ araŋ mana humburu Rabbi Irikoy bo jina.»
30But as for thee and thy servants, I know that ye will not yet fear Jehovah God.
31The flax and the barley were struck, for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
31 Gariyo na lin* da sayir* kar, zama sayir hay, lin mo go ga boosu.
31And the flax and the barley were smitten: for the barley was in the ear, and the flax was in bloom.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not struck, for they had not grown up.
32 Amma alkama nda hayno wo, a mana i kar, zama i mana beeri jina.
32But the wheat and the spelt were not smitten: for they were not grown up.
33Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands to Yahweh; and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured on the earth.
33 Kala Musa tun Firawna do. A fatta birno ra ka nga kambey salle Rabbi gaa. Dunduyaŋo da gariyo mo kay. Hari mana ye ka kaŋ laabo boŋ koyne.
33And Moses went out of the city from Pharaoh, and spread abroad his hands unto Jehovah: and the thunders and hail ceased, and the rain was not poured upon the earth.
34When Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
34 Saaya kaŋ Firawna di haro ko, gariyo da dunduyaŋo ban, kal a ye ka tonton zunubi teeyaŋo gaa. A na nga bina sandandi, nga nda nga bannyey.
34And when Pharaoh saw that the rain and the hail and the thunders were ceased, he sinned yet more, and hardened his heart, he and his servants.
35The heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he didn’t let the children of Israel go, just as Yahweh had spoken through Moses.
35 Firawna bina binde sandi. A mana Israyla izey taŋ mo, sanda mate kaŋ Rabbi ci Musa meyo ra.
35And the heart of Pharaoh was hardened, and he did not let the children of Israel go, as Jehovah had spoken by Moses.
