Ezekiel

2

1He said to me, Son of man, stand on your feet, and I will speak with you.
1 A ne ay se: «Boro izo, tun ka kay ni cey gaa, ay mo ga salaŋ ni se.»
1And he said unto me, Son of man, stand upon thy feet, and I will speak with thee.
2The Spirit entered into me when he spoke to me, and set me on my feet; and I heard him who spoke to me.
2 Kala Biya furo ay ra waato kaŋ a salaŋ ay se din. A n'ay kayandi mo ay cey gaa. Ay maa mo bora kaŋ goono ga salaŋ ay se din.
2And the Spirit entered into me when he spake unto me, and set me upon my feet; and I heard him that spake unto me.
3He said to me, Son of man, I send you to the children of Israel, to a nation of rebels who have rebelled against me. They and their fathers have transgressed against me even to this very day.
3 A ne ay se: «Boro izo, ay ga ni donton ma koy Israyla* izey do. Dumi murtanteyaŋ no kaŋ murte ay gaa. Ngey da ngey kaayey, i n'ay asariya* taamu hala hõ.
3And he said unto me, Son of man, I send thee to the children of Israel, to nations that are rebellious, which have rebelled against me: they and their fathers have transgressed against me even unto this very day.
4The children are impudent and stiff-hearted: I am sending you to them; and you shall tell them, Thus says the Lord Yahweh.
4 Ize mo-koogayyaŋ no, monganteyaŋ mo no. I do no ay ga ni donton. Ni ma ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi, Koy Beero ci.
4And the children are impudent and stiffhearted: I do sent thee unto them; and thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith the Lord Jehovah.
5They, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house), yet shall know that there has been a prophet among them.
5 Ngey mo, d'i maa wala i wangu d'a, (zama dumi kaŋ ga murte no,) i ga bay kaŋ annabi* goro ngey game ra.
5And they, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear, (for they are a rebellious house,) yet shall know that there hath been a prophet among them.
6You, son of man, don’t be afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with you, and you do dwell among scorpions: don’t be afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
6 Ni mo, boro izo, ma si humbur'ey, ma si humburu i sanney mo, baa kaŋ ngarfu nda karjiyaŋ go ni do, ni goono ga goro daŋyaŋ game ra mo. Ma si humburu i sanney, ni bina ma si pati mo i mo basuyaŋ se, baa day kaŋ dumi kaŋ ga murte no.
6And thou, son of man, be not afraid of them, neither be afraid of their words, though briers and thorns are with thee, and thou dost dwell among scorpions: be not afraid of their words, nor be dismayed at their looks, though they are a rebellious house.
7You shall speak my words to them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.
7 Ni g'ay sanno ci i se, hal i ga hangan ka maa, wala i ga wongu ka maa, zama murtanteyaŋ no.
7And thou shalt speak my words unto them, whether they will hear, or whether they will forbear; for they are most rebellious.
8But you, son of man, hear what I tell you; don’t be rebellious like that rebellious house: open your mouth, and eat that which I give you.
8 Amma nin wo, boro izo, ma maa haŋ kaŋ ay go ga ci ni se. Ma si murte sanda dumi woone cine kaŋ go ga murte. Feeri ni meyo ka ŋwa haŋ kaŋ ay ga ni no.»
8But thou, son of man, hear what I say unto thee; be not thou rebellious like that rebellious house: open thy mouth, and eat that which I give thee.
9When I looked, behold, a hand was put forth to me; and, behold, a scroll of a book was therein;
9 Waato kaŋ ay guna binde, a go, i na kambe salle ay se, tira kunkunante fo mo go kamba ra.
9And when I looked, behold, a hand was put forth unto me; and, lo, a roll of a book was therein;
10He spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
10 Kala a n'a feeri ay jine, a gonda hantum a ra d'a banda mo gaa. Haya kaŋ i hantum din, hẽeni sanni, da bu baray, da bone koonu no.
10And he spread it before me: and it was written within and without; and there were written therein lamentations, and mourning, and woe.
