Hosea

5

1“Listen to this, you priests! Listen, house of Israel, and give ear, house of the king! For the judgment is against you; for you have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread on Tabor.
1 Ya araŋ, alfagey, wa maa woone. Ya araŋ, Israyla dumo, wa hangan. Ya bonkoono windo, wa hanga jeeri ka maa, Zama ciiti go kaa araŋ gaa. Zama araŋ ciya hirrimi Mizpa ra, Taaru mo kaŋ i daaru Tabor boŋ,
1Hear this, O ye priests, and hearken, O house of Israel, and give ear, O house of the king; for unto you pertaineth the judgment; for ye have been a snare at Mizpah, and a net spread upon Tabor.
2The rebels are deep in slaughter; but I discipline all of them.
2 Murtantey jisi boro wiyaŋ ra, Amma ay g'i kulu gooji.
2And the revolters are gone deep in making slaughter; but I am a rebuker of them all.
3I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hidden from me; for now, Ephraim, you have played the prostitute. Israel is defiled.
3 Ay na Ifraymu bay, Israyla si ay se tugante bo. Zama sohõ, ya nin Ifraymu, ni na kaaruwataray te, Israyla na harram goy te.
3I know Ephraim, and Israel is not hid from me; for now, O Ephraim, thou hast played the harlot, Israel is defiled.
4Their deeds won’t allow them to turn to their God; for the spirit of prostitution is within them, and they don’t know Yahweh.
4 I muraadey si i naŋ i ma bare ka ye ngey Irikoyo do, Zama kaaruwataray follay go i gaa, I si Rabbi bay mo.
4Their doings will not suffer them to turn unto their God; for the spirit of whoredom is within them, and they know not Jehovah.
5The pride of Israel testifies to his face. Therefore Israel and Ephraim will stumble in their iniquity. Judah also will stumble with them.
5 Israyla fooma mo go ga seeda a gaa. Woodin sabbay se no Israyla nda Ifraymu harta ngey taali beero do, Yahuda mo harta i banda.
5And the pride of Israel doth testify to his face: therefore Israel and Ephraim shall stumble in their iniquity; Judah also shall stumble with them.
6They will go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Yahweh; but they won’t find him. He has withdrawn himself from them.
6 I ga konda ngey feeji kurey da ngey haw kurey ka sarga Rabbi ceeciyaŋ se, amma i s'a gar. A na nga boŋ fay d'ey.
6They shall go with their flocks and with their herds to seek Jehovah; but they shall not find him: he hath withdrawn himself from them.
7They are unfaithful to Yahweh; for they have borne illegitimate children. Now the new moon will devour them with their fields.
7 I na Rabbi amaana ŋwa, zama i na zina izeyaŋ hay. Sohõ handu folloŋ ra no wongu g'i ŋwa, Hala nda i farey kulu.
7They have dealt treacherously against Jehovah; for they have borne strange children: now shall the new moon devour them with their fields.
8“Blow the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah! Sound a battle cry at Beth Aven, behind you, Benjamin!
8 Wa wongu hilli kar Jibeya ra, da kaakaaci mo Rama ra. Wa jinde sambu Bayt-Aben ra ka ne: «Ya Benyamin, ni banda no i go!»
8Blow ye the cornet in Gibeah, and the trumpet in Ramah: sound an alarm at Beth-aven; behind thee, O Benjamin.
9Ephraim will become a desolation in the day of rebuke. Among the tribes of Israel, I have made known that which will surely be.
9 Ifraymu ga ciya kurmu deeniyaŋ zaaro ra. Israyla kunda se no ay go ga haŋ kaŋ ga tabbat bayrandi.
9Ephraim shall become a desolation in the day of rebuke: among the tribes of Israel have I made known that which shall surely be.
10The princes of Judah are like those who remove a landmark. I will pour out my wrath on them like water.
10 Yahuda koyey ciya danga borey kaŋ yaŋ ga hirri seeda ganandi. Ay g'ay futa gusam i boŋ danga hari cine.
10The princes of Judah are like them that remove the landmark: I will pour out my wrath upon them like water.
11Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment; Because he is intent in his pursuit of idols.
11 Ifraymu maa kankami, i n'a naan ciito do haray mo, Zama a anniya nga ma boro lordi gana.
11Ephraim is oppressed, he is crushed in judgment; because he was content to walk after [man's] command.
12Therefore I am to Ephraim like a moth, and to the house of Judah like rottenness.
12 Ay mo, ay ga ciya danga kollo Ifraymu se, Danga jombo mo Yahuda dumo se.
12Therefore am I unto Ephraim as a moth, and to the house of Judah as rottenness.
13“When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah his wound, Then Ephraim went to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.
13 Saaya kaŋ Ifraymu di nga dooro, Yahuda mo di nga biyo, Kala Ifraymu koy Assiriya ka donton Bonkoono Yareb do, Amma nga wo si hin k'araŋ no baani, A si hin k'araŋ biyey yayandi mo.
13When Ephraim saw his sickness, and Judah [saw] his wound, then went Ephraim to Assyria, and sent to king Jareb: but he is not able to heal you, neither will he cure you of your wound.
14For I will be to Ephraim like a lion, and like a young lion to the house of Judah. I myself will tear in pieces and go away. I will carry off, and there will be no one to deliver.
14 Zama ay ga ciya Ifraymu se danga muusu beeri cine, Danga muus'ize mo Yahuda dumo se. Ay no, oho, ay bumbo no, Ay g'i tooru-tooru ka dira. Ay g'i sambu ka kond'ey, Boro kulu si no mo kaŋ g'i kaa kambe.
14For I will be unto Ephraim as a lion, and as a young lion to the house of Judah: I, even I, will tear and go away; I will carry off, and there shall be none to deliver.
15I will go and return to my place, until they acknowledge their offense, and seek my face. In their affliction they will seek me earnestly.”
15 Ay ga dira ka koy ay nango do, Hala waati kaŋ i ga yadda ka ne ngey na taali te, K'ay moyduma ceeci. I taabiyaŋo ra i g'ay ceeci da anniya.
15I will go and return to my place, till they acknowledge their offence, and seek my face: in their affliction they will seek me earnestly.
