Isaiah

51

1“Listen to me, you who follow after righteousness, you who seek Yahweh: look to the rock you were cut from, and to the hold of the pit you were dug from.
1 Ya araŋ kaŋ ga adilitaray gana, Ya araŋ, Rabbi ceecikoy, wa hanga jeeri ay se. Wa tondo guna, naŋ kaŋ a n'araŋ jabu ka kaa, Laabo guusuyaŋo mo kaŋ ra a n'araŋ fansi ka kaa.
1Hearken to me, ye that follow after righteousness, ye that seek Jehovah: look unto the rock whence ye were hewn, and to the hold of the pit whence ye were digged.
2Look to Abraham your father, and to Sarah who bore you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
2 Wa guna araŋ kaayo Ibrahim da Saharatu kaŋ n'araŋ hay. Zama saaya kaŋ Ibrahim go nga hinne ay n'a ce, Ay n'a albarkandi ka naŋ a ma baa mo.
2Look unto Abraham your father, and unto Sarah that bare you; for when he was but one I called him, and I blessed him, and made him many.
3For Yahweh has comforted Zion; he has comforted all her waste places, and has made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Yahweh; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
3 Haciika Rabbi ga Sihiyona bina yeenandi, A g'a kurmey kulu kunfa. A g'a saajo ciya sanda Eden cine, A g'a taasi beerey mo ciya sanda Rabbi kalo cine. Farhã da bine kaani no i ga gar a ra, Da saabuyaŋ da sifaw dooni jinde.
3For Jehovah hath comforted Zion; he hath comforted all her waste places, and hath made her wilderness like Eden, and her desert like the garden of Jehovah; joy and gladness shall be found therein, thanksgiving, and the voice of melody.
4“Attend to me, my people; and give ear to me, my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
4 Ya ay jama, wa hangan ka maa ay se. Ya nin ay kunda, ma hanga jeeri ay se, Zama asariya ga fun ay do, Ay g'ay cimi ciito sinji a ma ciya kaari dumey se.
4Attend unto me, O my people; and give ear unto me, O my nation: for a law shall go forth from me, and I will establish my justice for a light of the peoples.
5My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and my arms shall judge the peoples; the islands shall wait for me, and on my arm shall they trust.
5 Ay adilitara ga maan, ay faaba fatta, Ay kambey mo ga ciiti jamayaŋ se. Teeku me gaa laabey g'ay batu, Ay kamba gaa no i ga beeje sinji.
5My righteousness is near, my salvation is gone forth, and mine arms shall judge the peoples; the isles shall wait for me, and on mine arm shall they trust.
6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look on the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and those who dwell therein shall die in the same way: but my salvation shall be forever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
6 W'araŋ boŋ sambu ka beena guna, Araŋ ma ndunnya mo guna ganda. Zama beeney ga say ka daray sanda dullu cine, Ganda mo ga zeen sanda kwaay cine, A ra gorokoy mo ga bu yaadin cine. Amma ay faaba ga tabbat hal abada, Ay adilitara mo si barmay.
6Lift up your eyes to the heavens, and look upon the earth beneath; for the heavens shall vanish away like smoke, and the earth shall wax old like a garment; and they that dwell therein shall die in like manner: but my salvation shall be for ever, and my righteousness shall not be abolished.
7“Listen to me, you who know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; don’t fear the reproach of men, neither be dismayed at their insults.
7 Ya araŋ adilitaray baykoy, Araŋ kaŋ biney ra ay asariya go, Wa hanga jeeri ay se. Wa si humburu borey wowo, Wa si naŋ mo i alaasiray booba ma hin araŋ.
7Hearken unto me, ye that know righteousness, the people in whose heart is my law; fear ye not the reproach of men, neither be ye dismayed at their revilings.
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be forever, and my salvation to all generations.”
8 Zama naana-baano g'i ŋwa sanda kwaay cine, Nooni g'i ŋwa mo sanda feeji hamni silli. Amma ay adilitara ga duumi hal abada, Ay faaba mo ga duumi hala zamaney kulu me.
8For the moth shall eat them up like a garment, and the worm shall eat them like wool; but my righteousness shall be for ever, and my salvation unto all generations.
9Awake, awake, put on strength, arm of Yahweh; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Isn’t it you who cut Rahab in pieces, who pierced the monster?
9 Ya Rabbi kamba, ma mo hay, ma mo hay, Ma gaabi daŋ sanda bankaaray cine. Ma mo hay sanda doŋ jirbey ra cine, Doŋ borey zamaney wano. Wala manti nin no ka Rahab beeri-beeri ka teeku ham beero gooru-gooru mo?
9Awake, awake, put on strength, O arm of Jehovah; awake, as in the days of old, the generations of ancient times. Is it not thou that didst cut Rahab in pieces, that didst pierce the monster?
10Isn’t it you who dried up the sea, the waters of the great deep; who made the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
10 Wala manti nin no ka teeko koogandi, Kaŋ ga ti guusuyaŋ bambata harey, Ni na teeku guusuyaŋey ciya fondo mo hala fansantey ma daŋandi?
10Is it not thou that driedst up the sea, the waters of the great deep; that madest the depths of the sea a way for the redeemed to pass over?
11The ransomed of Yahweh shall return, and come with singing to Zion; and everlasting joy shall be on their heads. They shall obtain gladness and joy. Sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
11 Rabbi wane fansantey mo ga ye ka kaa. Dooni no i ga kaa d'a Sihiyona, Bine kaani kaŋ ga duumi ga goro i boŋ. I ga du bine kaani da farhã, Bine jisiyaŋ da durayyaŋ mo ga zuru.
11And the ransomed of Jehovah shall return, and come with singing unto Zion; and everlasting joy shall be upon their heads: they shall obtain gladness and joy; [and] sorrow and sighing shall flee away.
12“I, even I, am he who comforts you: who are you, that you are afraid of man who shall die, and of the son of man who shall be made as grass;
12 Ay no, ay bumbo no g'araŋ bine yeenandi. Nin no may kaŋ ga humburu Adam-ize kaŋ ga bu? Ni ga humburu boro ize kaŋ ga ciya sanda subu cine no?
12I, even I, am he that comforteth you: who art thou, that thou art afraid of man that shall die, and of the son of man that shall be made as grass;
13and have forgotten Yahweh your Maker, who stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fear continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he makes ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
13 Hala ni ma dinya Rabbi ni Takakwa, Nga kaŋ na beeney salle ka ndunnya tiksey mo sinji. Zaari me-a-me ni goono ga humburu kankamandikwa futa duumi, Waati kaŋ a ga soola nga ma halaciyaŋ te. Man gaa binde no kankamandikwa futa go?
13and hast forgotten Jehovah thy Maker, that stretched forth the heavens, and laid the foundations of the earth; and fearest continually all the day because of the fury of the oppressor, when he maketh ready to destroy? and where is the fury of the oppressor?
14The captive exile shall speedily be freed; and he shall not die and go down into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.
14 Boro kaŋ go tamtaray ra ga fun kambe nda waasi. A si bu kasu ra, a si jaŋ ŋwaari mo.
14The captive exile shall speedily be loosed; and he shall not die [and go down] into the pit, neither shall his bread fail.
15For I am Yahweh your God, who stirs up the sea, so that its waves roar: Yahweh of Armies is his name.
15 Zama ay no, Rabbi ni Irikoyo, Kaŋ ga teeku tunandi hal a bonday beerey ma kosongu, Rabbi Kundeykoyo no ga ti ay maa.
15For I am Jehovah thy God, who stirreth up the sea, so that the waves thereof roar: Jehovah of hosts is his name.
16I have put my words in your mouth, and have covered you in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and tell Zion, ‘You are my people.’”
16And I have put my words in thy mouth, and have covered thee in the shadow of my hand, that I may plant the heavens, and lay the foundations of the earth, and say unto Zion, Thou art my people.
17Awake, awake, stand up, Jerusalem, that have drunk at the hand of Yahweh the cup of his wrath; you have drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.
17 Ma mo hay, ma mo hay! Ya nin Urusalima, ma tun ka kay. Nin kaŋ na Rabbi futay gaasiya haŋ a kambe ra, Ni na teeniyaŋ gaasiya haŋ ka to hala zambo gaa.
17Awake, awake, stand up, O Jerusalem, that hast drunk at the hand of Jehovah the cup of his wrath; thou hast drunken the bowl of the cup of staggering, and drained it.
18There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she has brought forth; neither is there any who takes her by the hand among all the sons who she has brought up.
18 Urusalima sinda candiko ize arey kulu kaŋ yaŋ a hay ra. Ize arey kulu kaŋ yaŋ a biiri ra mo, A jaŋ boro kaŋ g'a kambe candi.
18There is none to guide her among all the sons whom she hath brought forth; neither is there any that taketh her by the hand among all the sons that she hath brought up.
19These two things have happened to you. Who will bemoan you? Desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort you?
19 Hari hinka woone yaŋ wo du nin, May no ga baray ni se? Alandaaba nda halaciyaŋ da haray da takuba no du nin. May mo no ga ni kunfa da manti ay?
19These two things are befallen thee, who shall bemoan thee? desolation and destruction, and the famine and the sword; how shall I comfort thee?
20Your sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Yahweh, the rebuke of your God.
20 Ni ize arey yangala, I go ga kani kwaara fondey kulu ra sanda jeeri kaŋ gata di. I kungu nda Rabbi dukuro kaŋ ga ti ni Irikoyo kaseetiyaŋo.
20Thy sons have fainted, they lie at the head of all the streets, as an antelope in a net; they are full of the wrath of Jehovah, the rebuke of thy God.
21Therefore hear now this, you afflicted, and drunken, but not with wine:
21 Woodin sabbay se, ya nin waybora kaŋ taabi, Nin kaŋ bugu manti da duvan, ma maa woone.
21Therefore hear now this, thou afflicted, and drunken, but now with wine:
22Thus says your Lord Yahweh, and your God who pleads the cause of his people, “Behold, I have taken out of your hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; you shall no more drink it again:
22 Yaa no Rabbi ni Koyo ci, Ni Irikoyo nooya, nga kaŋ ga nga jama fansa sambu. A ne: «A go, ay na ni teeniyaŋ gaasiya ta ni kamba ra, Kaŋ ga ti ay futay gaaso. Ni si ye k'a haŋ koyne.
22Thus saith thy Lord Jehovah, and thy God that pleadeth the cause of his people, Behold, I have taken out of thy hand the cup of staggering, even the bowl of the cup of my wrath; thou shalt no more drink it again:
23and I will put it into the hand of those who afflict you, who have said to your soul, ‘Bow down, that we may walk over you;’ and you have laid your back as the ground, and as the street, to those who walk over.”
23 Amma ay g'a daŋ borey kaŋ goono ga ni taabandi yaŋ din kambe ra, ngey kaŋ yaŋ ne ni fundo se: ‹Ma kani ganda zama iri ma taamu ka bisa.› Hala ni na ni banda daaro ciya sanda laabu, Ni n'a ciya sanda fondo mo borey kaŋ g'a daaru se.»
23and I will put it into the hand of them that afflict thee, that have said to thy soul, Bow down, that we may go over; and thou hast laid thy back as the ground, and as the street, to them that go over.
