Isaiah

53

1Who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?
1 May no k'iri baaro cimandi? May se mo no Rabbi kamba bangay?
1Who hath believed our message? and to whom hath the arm of Jehovah been revealed?
2For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
2 Zama Rabbi tamo ga beeri a jine sanda zaymi taji, Sanda kaaji kaŋ ga fun laabu kogo ra. A sinda himandi hanno fo, a gunayaŋ mo si kaan. Waati kaŋ iri n'a guna a sinda boori fo nga gaa kaŋ ga naŋ iri ma ba r'a.
2For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of a dry ground: he hath no form nor comeliness; and when we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.
3He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.
3 A ciya donda-caray hari, furuyaŋ hari no borey se. Bine saraykoy no kaŋ doona doori, I dond'a sanda boro kaŋ gaa borey na mo kaa, Iri mo man'a himandi hay kulu.
3He was despised, and rejected of men; a man of sorrows, and acquainted with grief: and as one from whom men hide their face he was despised; and we esteemed him not.
4Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.
4 Daahir iri doorey ciya a se jaraw, A n'iri bine sarayey sambu mo. Amma iri n'a lasaabu sanda karante, Irikoy goobo baa, taabi hanko no.
4Surely he hath borne our griefs, and carried our sorrows; yet we did esteem him stricken, smitten of God, and afflicted.
5But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.
5 Amma iri murteyaŋey sabbay se no a maray, A mortu iri zunubey sabbay se, Goojiyaŋo kaŋ ga kande iri se laakal kanay go a boŋ, A goobu haŋyaŋo mo na iri no baani.
5But he was wounded for our transgressions, he was bruised for our iniquities; the chastisement of our peace was upon him; and with his stripes we are healed.
6All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.
6 Iri go sanda feejiyaŋ kaŋ daray, Iri boro kulu kamba ka nga boŋ fonda gana. Rabbi mo n'iri zunubey kulu dake a boŋ.
6All we like sheep have gone astray; we have turned every one to his own way; and Jehovah hath laid on him the iniquity of us all.
7He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he didn’t open his mouth.
7 I n'a gurzugandi k'a taabandi, Kulu nda yaadin a mana nga meyo fiti. Sanda feej'ize kaŋ i ga konda ka wi, Wala sanda feeji nya kaŋ go ga dangay nga hamni hõsekoy jine, Yaadin cine no a mana nga meyo fiti.
7He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he opened not his mouth; as a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is dumb, so he opened not his mouth.
8He was taken away by oppression and judgment; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?
8 Kankami da cimi ciiti jaŋay no i daŋ k'a hibandi. A zamana borey ra binde, May no ka lasaabu ka bay kaŋ i n'a waasu ka kaa fundikooney laabo ra? May no ka lasaabu kaŋ ay jama murteyaŋey sabbay se no i n'a kar.
8By oppression and judgment he was taken away; and as for his generation, who [among them] considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living for the transgression of my people to whom the stroke [was due]?
9They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
9 A na nga saara suuban boro laaley banda, nga nda arzakante mo ka margu nga buuyaŋo ra, Baa kaŋ a mana toonye te, Gulinci mo si no a meyo ra.
9And they made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.
10Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed. He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yahweh shall prosper in his hand.
10 Amma a kaan Rabbi se nga m'a maray, A na azaaba dake a boŋ. Waati kaŋ a g'a fundo ciya sargay zunubi se, A ga di nga bandey, a ga nga jirbey kuukandi, Rabbi miila mo ga te albarka a kambe ra.
10Yet it pleased Jehovah to bruise him; he hath put him to grief: when thou shalt make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see [his] seed, he shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Jehovah shall prosper in his hand.
11After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.
11 A ga di nga fundo taabo nafa ka ne a wasa, Ay tam adilanta ga boro boobo adilandi zama i n'a bay se, A g'i zunubey sambu mo.
11He shall see of the travail of his soul, [and] shall be satisfied: by the knowledge of himself shall my righteous servant justify many; and he shall bear their iniquities.
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
12 Woodin sabbay se no ay g'a no nga baa boro beerey banda. A ga arzaka fay mo gaabikooney banda. Zama a na nga fundo nooyandi hal a to buuyaŋ gaa. I n'a lasaabu taali-teerey banda, Kulu nda yaadin a na boro boobo zunubi jare, A gaara mo taali-teerey se.
12Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul unto death, and was numbered with the transgressors: yet he bare the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.
