Jeremiah

15

1Then Yahweh said to me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
1 Kala Rabbi ne ay se: Baa Musa nda Samuwila no ga kay ay jine, i day si du ka te ay bina ma bare ka ye dumi woone wo do haray. M'i moorandi hala naŋ kaŋ ay si di ey, i ma ngey koyyaŋ te!
1Then said Jehovah unto me, Though Moses and Samuel stood before me, yet my mind would not be toward this people: cast them out of my sight, and let them go forth.
2It shall happen, when they tell you, Where shall we go forth? Then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.
2 A ga ciya mo, d'i ne ni se: «Man gaa no iri ga koy?» kala ni ma ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi ci: Borey kaŋ yaŋ ay waadu buuyaŋ gaa, Buuyaŋ gaa no i ga koy. Borey kaŋ yaŋ ay waadu takuba gaa, Takuba gaa no i ga koy. Borey kaŋ yaŋ ay waadu haray gaa, Haray gaa no i ga koy. Borey kaŋ yaŋ ay waadu tamtaray gaa mo, Tamtaray ra no i ga koy.
2And it shall come to pass, when they say unto thee, Whither shall we go forth? then thou shalt tell them, Thus saith Jehovah: Such as are for death, to death; and such as are for the sword, to the sword; and such as are for the famine, to the famine; and such as are for captivity, to captivity.
3I will appoint over them four kinds, says Yahweh: the sword to kill, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the sky, and the animals of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
3And I will appoint over them four kinds, saith Jehovah: the sword to slay, and the dogs to tear, and the birds of the heavens, and the beasts of the earth, to devour and to destroy.
4I will cause them to be tossed back and forth among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
4 Ay ga naŋ i ma ciya humburandiyaŋ hari ndunnya mayrayey kulu se Yahuda bonkoono Manasse, Hezeciya ize sabbay se, haya kaŋ a te Urusalima ra din sabbay se.
4And I will cause them to be tossed to and fro among all the kingdoms of the earth, because of Manasseh, the son of Hezekiah, king of Judah, for that which he did in Jerusalem.
5For who will have pity on you, Jerusalem? or who will bemoan you? or who will turn aside to ask of your welfare?
5 Zama nin Urusalima, may no ga bakar ni se? May no ga bu baray te ni se mo? Wala may no ga kamba ka ni baani hã?
5For who will have pity upon thee, O Jerusalem? or who will bemoan thee? or who will turn aside to ask of thy welfare?
6You have rejected me, says Yahweh, you have gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against you, and destroyed you; I am weary with repenting.
6 Nin kaŋ n'ay furu, yaa no Rabbi ci, Ni ye da banda. Woodin se no ay g'ay kamba salle ni boŋ ka ni halaci, Ay farga nd'ay ma cindi ni se.
6Thou hast rejected me, saith Jehovah, thou art gone backward: therefore have I stretched out my hand against thee, and destroyed thee; I am weary with repenting.
7I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved them of children, I have destroyed my people; they didn’t return from their ways.
7 Ay ga borey faaru nda gaasu laabo birni meyey gaa. Ay ga naŋ i ma jaŋ ngey izey, ay g'ay borey halaci, Za kaŋ i mana bare ka fay da ngey muraadey.
7And I have winnowed them with a fan in the gates of the land; I have bereaved [them] of children, I have destroyed my people; they returned not from their ways.
8Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought on them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall on her suddenly.
8 I wayborey kaŋ kurnyey bu ga tonton ay windanta hal i ma bisa teeku taasi baayaŋ cine. Ay ga wongu zurandi izeyaŋ candi ka kande i gaa zaari sance, I ga gaaba nda nya nda arwasu. Ay ga naŋ foyrayyaŋ nda humburkumay beeri ma nyaŋo jirsi.
8Their widows are increased to me above the sand of the seas; I have brought upon them against the mother of the young men a destroyer at noonday: I have caused anguish and terrors to fall upon her suddenly.
9She who has borne seven languishes; she has given up the spirit; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she has been disappointed and confounded: and their residue will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, says Yahweh.
A wayna kaŋ za zaaro ga cindi, Haawi n'a di, a di kayna mo. Ay g'i cindo mo nooyandi takuba se i ibarey jine. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
9She that hath borne seven languisheth; she hath given up the ghost; her sun is gone down while it was yet day; she hath been put to shame and confounded: and the residue of them will I deliver to the sword before their enemies, saith Jehovah.
10Woe is me, my mother, that you have borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; yet everyone of them curses me.
Ay mana garaw daŋ, i mana nooru garaw ay gaa mo. Kulu nda yaadin i boro fo kulu goono g'ay laali.
10Woe is me, my mother, that thou hast borne me a man of strife and a man of contention to the whole earth! I have not lent, neither have men lent to me; [yet] every one of them doth curse me.
11Yahweh said, Most certainly I will strengthen you for good; most certainly I will cause the enemy to make supplication to you in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
11Jehovah said, Verily I will strengthen thee for good; verily I will cause the enemy to make supplication unto thee in the time of evil and in the time of affliction.
12Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass?
12 A ga hin ka te no i ma azawa kambe haray guuru-bi wala guuru-say ceeri?
12Can one break iron, even iron from the north, and brass?
13Your substance and your treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all your sins, even in all your borders.
13Thy substance and thy treasures will I give for a spoil without price, and that for all thy sins, even in all thy borders.
14I will make them to pass with your enemies into a land which you don’t know; for a fire is kindled in my anger, which shall burn on you.
14 Ay ga naŋ ni ibarey ma konda nin laabu fo ra kaŋ ni si bay. Zama i na danji diyandi ay futa ra, Danji no kaŋ g'araŋ ton.
14And I will make [them] to pass with thine enemies into a land which thou knowest not; for a fire is kindled in mine anger, which shall burn upon you.
15Yahweh, you know; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; don’t take me away in your longsuffering: know that for your sake I have suffered reproach.
15 Ya Rabbi, ni kaŋ ga bay. Ma fongu ay gaa, m'ay kunfa, Ma bana ay se borey kaŋ goono g'ay gurzugandi yaŋ boŋ. Ma s'ay hibandi ni suuro ra. Ni bay kaŋ ni sabbay se no ay di wowi.
15O Jehovah, thou knowest; remember me, and visit me, and avenge me of my persecutors; take me not away in thy longsuffering: know that for thy sake I have suffered reproach.
16Your words were found, and I ate them; and your words were to me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by your name, Yahweh, God of Armies.
16Thy words were found, and I did eat them; and thy words were unto me a joy and the rejoicing of my heart: for I am called by thy name, O Jehovah, God of hosts.
17I didn’t sit in the assembly of those who make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of your hand; for you have filled me with indignation.
17I sat not in the assembly of them that make merry, nor rejoiced; I sat alone because of thy hand; for thou hast filled me with indignation.
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuses to be healed? Will you indeed be to me as a deceitful brook, as waters that fail?
18 Ifo se no ay ga maa doori korno waati kulu, Ay biyo mo go, a sinda safari, a wangu ka yay?
18Why is my pain perpetual, and my wound incurable, which refuseth to be healed? wilt thou indeed be unto me as a deceitful [brook], as waters that fail?
19Therefore thus says Yahweh, If you return, then will I bring you again, that you may stand before me; and if you take forth the precious from the vile, you shall be as my mouth: they shall return to you, but you shall not return to them.
19Therefore thus saith Jehovah, If thou return, then will I bring thee again, that thou mayest stand before me; and if thou take forth the precious from the vile, thou shalt be as my mouth: they shall return unto thee, but thou shalt not return unto them.
20I will make you to this people a fortified bronze wall; and they shall fight against you, but they shall not prevail against you; for I am with you to save you and to deliver you, says Yahweh.
Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
20And I will make thee unto this people a fortified brazen wall; and they shall fight against thee, but they shall not prevail against thee; for I am with thee to save thee and to deliver thee, saith Jehovah.
21I will deliver you out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem you out of the hand of the terrible.
21And I will deliver thee out of the hand of the wicked, and I will redeem thee out of the hand of the terrible.
