25

1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadnezzar king of Babylon),
1 Sanno kaŋ kaa Irimiya do Yahuda borey kulu boŋ neeya, Yahuda bonkoono Yehoyacim Yosiya izo mayra jiiri taacanta ra, Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar mo, a mayra jiiri sintina nooya.
1The word that came to Jeremiah concerning all the people of Judah, in the fourth year of Jehoiakim the son of Josiah, king of Judah (the same was the first year of Nebuchadrezzar king of Babylon,)
2which Jeremiah the prophet spoke to all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
2 Sanno kaŋ annabi* Irimiya ci Yahuda borey da Urusalima gorokoy kulu se neeya:
2which Jeremiah the prophet spake unto all the people of Judah, and to all the inhabitants of Jerusalem, saying:
3From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even to this day, these twenty-three years, the word of Yahweh has come to me, and I have spoken to you, rising up early and speaking; but you have not listened.
3 Za Yahuda bonkoono Yosiya Amon izo mayra jiiri way cindi hinzanta ka kaa sohõ, jiiri waranka cindi hinzo wo, Rabbi sanno go ga kaa ay do.
3From the thirteenth year of Josiah the son of Amon, king of Judah, even unto this day, these three and twenty years, the word of Jehovah hath come unto me, and I have spoken unto you, rising up early and speaking; but ye have not hearkened.
4Yahweh has sent to you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them (but you have not listened, nor inclined your ear to hear)
4 Rabbi na nga tam annabey kulu donton araŋ gaa mo, a ga soobay k'i donton. Amma araŋ mana saal, araŋ mana hanga jeeri ka maa mo.
4And Jehovah hath sent unto you all his servants the prophets, rising up early and sending them, (but ye have not hearkened, nor inclined your ear to hear,)
5saying, Return now everyone from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Yahweh has given to you and to your fathers, from of old and even forevermore;
5 A go ga ne: Wa bare, araŋ kulu, ka fay d'araŋ fondo laalo, d'araŋ goyey laalayaŋo mo. Laabo kaŋ Rabbi n'araŋ d'araŋ kaayey no za waato zamaney ka koy hal abada mo, araŋ ma goro a ra.
5saying, Return ye now every one from his evil way, and from the evil of your doings, and dwell in the land that Jehovah hath given unto you and to your fathers, from of old and even for evermore;
6and don’t go after other gods to serve them or worship them, and don’t provoke me to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no harm.
6and go not after other gods to serve them, and to worship them, and provoke me not to anger with the work of your hands; and I will do you no hurt.
7Yet you have not listened to me, says Yahweh; that you may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.
Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
7Yet ye have not hearkened unto me, saith Jehovah; that ye may provoke me to anger with the work of your hands to your own hurt.
8Therefore thus says Yahweh of Armies: Because you have not heard my words,
8 Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: Woodin sabbay se binde, za kaŋ araŋ man'ay sanney gana,
8Therefore thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Because ye have not heard my words,
9behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, says Yahweh, and I will send to Nebuchadnezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against its inhabitants, and against all these nations around; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
9 a go, kal ay ma donton ka azawa kambe haray kundey kulu sambu, d'ay tamo Babila bonkoono Nebukadnezzar mo. Ay ga kand'ey i ma wongu nda laabo wo d'a ra gorokoy, da ndunnya dumey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go ne-haray. Ay g'i halaci parkatak, ay m'i ciya alyanga hari, da donda-caray hari, da kurmu mo hal abada. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
9behold, I will send and take all the families of the north, saith Jehovah, and [I will send] unto Nebuchadrezzar the king of Babylon, my servant, and will bring them against this land, and against the inhabitants thereof, and against all these nations round about; and I will utterly destroy them, and make them an astonishment, and a hissing, and perpetual desolations.
10Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
10Moreover I will take from them the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride, the sound of the millstones, and the light of the lamp.
11This whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
11 Laabo wo kulu mo ga ciya kurmu nda alyanga hari. Dumey wo mo ga may Babila bonkoono se kala jiiri wayye.
11And this whole land shall be a desolation, and an astonishment; and these nations shall serve the king of Babylon seventy years.
12It shall happen, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, says Yahweh, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate forever.
12 A ga ciya mo, waati kaŋ jiiri wayya din kubay, ay ga Babila bonkoono da nga dumo da Kaldancey laabo mo ciiti ngey zunubey sabbay se, ay m'a ciya kurmu hal abada. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
12And it shall come to pass, when seventy years are accomplished, that I will punish the king of Babylon, and that nation, saith Jehovah, for their iniquity, and the land of the Chaldeans; and I will make it desolate for ever.
13I will bring on that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah has prophesied against all the nations.
13 Ay sanney kulu kaŋ ay ci laabo din boŋ mo, ay g'i candi ka kand'ey a boŋ, sanda haŋ kaŋ i hantum tira wo ra nooya, kaŋ Irimiya na annabitaray te dumey wo kulu boŋ.
13And I will bring upon that land all my words which I have pronounced against it, even all that is written in this book, which Jeremiah hath prophesied against all the nations.
14For many nations and great kings shall make bondservants of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.
14 Zama ndunnya dumi boobo da bonkooni beeri yaŋ mo g'i daŋ tamtaray. Ay mo ga bana i gaa i te-goyey d'i kambe goyey boŋ.
14For many nations and great kings shall make bondmen of them, even of them; and I will recompense them according to their deeds, and according to the work of their hands.
15For thus says Yahweh, the God of Israel, to me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send you, to drink it.
15 Zama yaa no Rabbi, Israyla Irikoyo ci ay se: Ma futay duvan* haŋ-gaasiya wo ta ay kambe ra. Dumi kulu kaŋ gaa ay ga ni donton, m'i haŋandi nd'a.
15For thus saith Jehovah, the God of Israel, unto me: take this cup of the wine of wrath at my hand, and cause all the nations, to whom I send thee, to drink it.
16They shall drink, and reel back and forth, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
16 I ga haŋ mo, ka teeni, hal i ma follo, takuba kaŋ ay ga samba i game ra din sabbay se.
16And they shall drink, and reel to and fro, and be mad, because of the sword that I will send among them.
17Then took I the cup at Yahweh’s hand, and made all the nations to drink, to whom Yahweh had sent me:
17 Kal ay na haŋ-gaasiya ta Rabbi kambe ra. Ay na ndunnya dumey kulu haŋandi, sanda ngey kaŋ yaŋ Rabbi n'ay donton i gaa.
17Then took I the cup at Jehovah's hand, and made all the nations to drink, unto whom Jehovah had sent me:
18Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and its kings, and its princes, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;
18 Ngey neeya: Urusalima, da Yahuda galley, d'a bonkooney, d'a mayraykoyey, zama i ma ciya kurmu da humburandiyaŋ hari, da donda-caray hari, da laaliyaŋ hari mo, sanda mate kaŋ cine a go d'a hunkuna.
18[to wit], Jerusalem, and the cities of Judah, and the kings thereof, and the princes thereof, to make them a desolation, an astonishment, a hissing, and a curse, as it is this day;

19 Ngey mo neeya: Misira bonkoono Firawna, da nga tamey, d'a mayraykoyey, d'a talkey kulu,
19Pharaoh king of Egypt, and his servants, and his princes, and all his people;

20and all the mingled people, and all the kings of the land of the Uz, and all the kings of the Philistines, and Ashkelon, and Gaza, and Ekron, and the remnant of Ashdod;
21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;
21 da Edom, da Mowab, da Amon izey,
21Edom, and Moab, and the children of Ammon;

22 da Tir koyey kulu, da Zidon koyey kulu, da koyey kaŋ go teeko daranta laabey ra,
22and all the kings of Tyre, and all the kings of Sidon, and the kings of the isle which is beyond the sea;

23 da Dedan, da Tema, da Buzu, da dumi kulu kaŋ yaŋ ga ngey kar-kambey cabu,
23Dedan, and Tema, and Buz, and all that have the corners [of their hair] cut off;
24and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mixed people who dwell in the wilderness;
24 da Laarabey laabu koyey kulu, kaŋ ga ti dumi waani-waaney kulu kaŋ furo care ra, kaŋ yaŋ go saajo ra,
24and all the kings of Arabia, and all the kings of the mingled people that dwell in the wilderness;
25and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
25 da Zimri koyey kulu, da Elam koyey kulu, da Medancey koyey kulu,
25and all the kings of Zimri, and all the kings of Elam, and all the kings of the Medes;
26and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are on the surface of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
26 da azawa kambe koyey kulu kaŋ ga mooru wala kaŋ ga maan care gaa, da ndunnya mayrayey kulu kaŋ go ndunnya ra. I kulu bananta mo, gaa no Babila bonkoono ga haŋ.
26and all the kings of the north, far and near, one with another; and all the kingdoms of the world, which are upon the face of the earth: and the king of Sheshach shall drink after them.
27You shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Drink, and be drunk, vomit, fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
27 Ni ga ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo, Israyla Irikoyo ci: Wa haŋ ka bugu.
27And thou shalt say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, the God of Israel: Drink ye, and be drunken, and spew, and fall, and rise no more, because of the sword which I will send among you.
28It shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at your hand to drink, then you shall tell them, Thus says Yahweh of Armies: You shall surely drink.
28 D'i wangu ka gaasiya ta ni kamba ra ka haŋ mo, kala ni ma ne i se: Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: Daahir, araŋ g'a haŋ!
28And it shall be, if they refuse to take the cup at thy hand to drink, then shalt thou say unto them, Thus saith Jehovah of hosts: Ye shall surely drink.
29For, behold, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should you be utterly unpunished? You shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword on all the inhabitants of the earth, says Yahweh of Armies.
29 Zama a go, gallo kaŋ i n'a ce d'ay maa, noodin no ay ga sintin ka kande masiiba. Araŋ binde, araŋ ga ciiti yana no? Araŋ si du ka ciito yana bo, zama ay go ga ce i ma kande takuba ndunnya gorokoy kulu boŋ. Yaadin no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci.
29For, lo, I begin to work evil at the city which is called by my name; and should ye be utterly unpunished? Ye shall not be unpunished; for I will call for a sword upon all the inhabitants of the earth, saith Jehovah of hosts.
30Therefore prophesy you against them all these words, and tell them, Yahweh will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as those who tread grapes, against all the inhabitants of the earth.
A ga kaati gumo ka gaaba nda nga alman kalo. A ga kuuwa ndunnya gorokoy kulu gaa, Sanda mate kaŋ cine reyzin* taamukoyaŋ ga kuuwa.
30Therefore prophesy thou against them all these words, and say unto them, Jehovah will roar from on high, and utter his voice from his holy habitation; he will mightily roar against his fold; he will give a shout, as they that tread [the grapes], against all the inhabitants of the earth.
31A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Yahweh has a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, says Yahweh.
31 Kuuwa din mo ga koy hala ndunnya citi, Zama Rabbi gonda kakaw nga nda ndunnya dumey game ra. A ga konda Adam-izey kulu ciiti do, Boro laaley mo, a g'i nooyandi takuba hin se. Yaadin no Rabbi ci.
31A noise shall come even to the end of the earth; for Jehovah hath a controversy with the nations; he will enter into judgment with all flesh: as for the wicked, he will give them to the sword, saith Jehovah.
32Thus says Yahweh of Armies, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great storm shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
32 Yaa no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci: Wa guna, masiiba ga fun dumi fo do ka koy dumi fo do. Hirriyaŋ bambata mo ga tun za ndunnya me.
32Thus saith Jehovah of hosts, Behold, evil shall go forth from nation to nation, and a great tempest shall be raised up from the uttermost parts of the earth.
33The slain of Yahweh shall be at that day from one end of the earth even to the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung on the surface of the ground.
33 Han din hane binde i ga di borey kaŋ yaŋ Rabbi ga wi za ndunnya me woone gaa kal a ma koy ya-haray meyo gaa. Boro kulu si bu baray te i se, i si i margu, i si i fiji mo. I ga ciya sanda birji laabo boŋ.
33And the slain of Jehovah shall be at that day from one end of the earth even unto the other end of the earth: they shall not be lamented, neither gathered, nor buried; they shall be dung upon the face of the ground.
34Wail, you shepherds, and cry; and wallow in dust, you principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and you shall fall like a goodly vessel.
34Wail, ye shepherds, and cry; and wallow [in ashes], ye principal of the flock; for the days of your slaughter and of your dispersions are fully come, and ye shall fall like a goodly vessel.
35The shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
35 Hawjiyey jaŋ nangu kaŋ ga tugu, Kuro jine borey mo jaŋ yanayaŋ fondo.
35And the shepherds shall have no way to flee, nor the principal of the flock to escape.
36A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Yahweh lays waste their pasture.
36 Hawjiyey hẽeni jinda da kuro jine borey kaatiyaŋo neeya! Zama Rabbi goono g'i kurey nangey halaci.
36A voice of the cry of the shepherds, and the wailing of the principal of the flock! for Jehovah layeth waste their pasture.
37The peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Yahweh.
37 Alman kaley kaŋ goro nda laakal kanay, waato, I dangay Rabbi futay korna sabbay se.
37And the peaceable folds are brought to silence because of the fierce anger of Jehovah.
38He has left his covert, as the lion; for their land has become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppression, and because of his fierce anger.
38 A fatta sanda mate kaŋ muusu beeri ga fatta nga guuso ra, Zama i laabo ciya kurmu kankamandikwa futa da Rabbi futay korna sabbay se.
38He hath left his covert, as the lion; for their land is become an astonishment because of the fierceness of the oppressing [sword], and because of his fierce anger.
