1Yahweh said to Moses in Mount Sinai,
1And Jehovah spake unto Moses in mount Sinai, saying,
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and tell them, ‘When you come into the land which I give you, then the land shall keep a Sabbath to Yahweh.
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and say unto them, When ye come into the land which I give you, then shall the land keep a sabbath unto Jehovah.
3Six years you shall sow your field, and six years you shall prune your vineyard, and gather in its fruits;
3 Jiiri iddu no ni ga ni faro duma. Jiiri iddu mo no ni ga ni reyzin* kalo hanse k'a izey kosu.
3Six years thou shalt sow thy field, and six years thou shalt prune thy vineyard, and gather in the fruits thereof;
4but in the seventh year there shall be a Sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a Sabbath to Yahweh. You shall not sow your field or prune your vineyard.
4but in the seventh year shall be a sabbath of solemn rest for the land, a sabbath unto Jehovah: thou shalt neither sow thy field, nor prune thy vineyard.
5What grows of itself in your harvest you shall not reap, and the grapes of your undressed vine you shall not gather. It shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.
5 Jarawo kaŋ ga te heemaro waate, ni ma s'a wi. Reyzin izey kaŋ ni kalo kaŋ ni mana hanse din ga hay mo, ni ma s'i kosu. Fulanzamay hanno jiiro nooya laabo se.
5That which groweth of itself of thy harvest thou shalt not reap, and the grapes of thy undressed vine thou shalt not gather: it shall be a year of solemn rest for the land.
6The Sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for yourself, for your servant, for your maid, for your hired servant, and for your stranger, who lives as a foreigner with you.
6And the sabbath of the land shall be for food for you; for thee, and for thy servant and for thy maid, and for thy hired servant and for thy stranger, who sojourn with thee.
7For your livestock also, and for the animals that are in your land, shall all its increase be for food.
7 A ga te mo ni almaney se, da laabo ganjo ra ham kulu se -- i se no jaraw kulu ga te ŋwaari.
7And for thy cattle, and for the beasts that are in thy land, shall all the increase thereof be for food.
8“‘You shall count off seven Sabbaths of years, seven times seven years; and there shall be to you the days of seven Sabbaths of years, even forty-nine years.
Jirbey kulu hala fulanzamay jiiri iyya ma kubay ga to jiiri waygu afo si nooya.
8And thou shalt number seven sabbaths of years unto thee, seven times seven years; and there shall be unto thee the days of seven sabbaths of years, even forty and nine years.
9Then you shall sound the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month. On the Day of Atonement you shall sound the trumpet throughout all your land.
Sasabandiyaŋ zaaro nooya kaŋ araŋ ga kaakaaci kar ka fe araŋ laabo me-a-me ra.
9Then shalt thou send abroad the loud trumpet on the tenth day of the seventh month; in the day of atonement shall ye send abroad the trumpet throughout all your land.
10You shall make the fiftieth year holy, and proclaim liberty throughout the land to all its inhabitants. It shall be a jubilee to you; and each of you shall return to his own property, and each of you shall return to his family.
Boro fo kulu ga ye nga mayray haro do. Boro kulu mo ga ye nga fu borey do.
10And ye shall hallow the fiftieth year, and proclaim liberty throughout the land unto all the inhabitants thereof: it shall be a jubilee unto you; and ye shall return every man unto his possession, and ye shall return every man unto his family.
11That fiftieth year shall be a jubilee to you. In it you shall not sow, neither reap that which grows of itself, nor gather from the undressed vines.
Reyzin nyaŋey kaŋ yaŋ araŋ mana hanse mo, wa s'i kosu.
11A jubilee shall that fiftieth year be unto you: ye shall not sow, neither reap that which groweth of itself in it, nor gather [the grapes] in it of the undressed vines.
12For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy to you. You shall eat of its increase out of the field.
12 Zama Yubili no. A ma hanan araŋ se, araŋ m'a albarka kaŋ ga fun fari ra ŋwa.
12For it is a jubilee; it shall be holy unto you: ye shall eat the increase thereof out of the field.
13“‘In this Year of Jubilee each of you shall return to his property.
13 Yubili jiiro din ra mo, boro kulu ga ye fu nga mayray haro do.
13In this year of jubilee ye shall return every man unto his possession.
14“‘If you sell anything to your neighbor, or buy from your neighbor, you shall not wrong one another.
14 Da ni na hay fo neera ni gorokasin se, wala ni na hay fo day a gaa, araŋ ma si zamba te care se.
14And if thou sell aught unto thy neighbor, or buy of thy neighbor's hand, ye shall not wrong one another.
15According to the number of years after the Jubilee you shall buy from your neighbor. According to the number of years of the crops he shall sell to you.
15 Mate kaŋ cine Yubili banda jiirey baa nd'a, yaadin no ni ga day ni gorokasin gaa. Mate kaŋ jiirey baa kaŋ i ga farey wi no a g'a neera ni se.
15According to the number of years after the jubilee thou shalt buy of thy neighbor, [and] according unto the number of years of the crops he shall sell unto thee.
16According to the length of the years you shall increase its price, and according to the shortness of the years you shall diminish its price; for he is selling the number of the crops to you.
16 D'i na jiirey lasaabu kaŋ i baa, yaadin cine no i ga daymi nooro tonton. Da jiirey mana baa, yaadin cine no i ga daymi nooro zabu, zama heemar wiyaŋ lasaabu no a g'a neera ni se d'a.
16According to the multitude of the years thou shalt increase the price thereof, and according to the fewness of the years thou shalt diminish the price of it; for the number of the crops doth he sell unto thee.
17You shall not wrong one another; but you shall fear your God: for I am Yahweh your God.
17And ye shall not wrong one another; but thou shalt fear thy God: for I am Jehovah your God.
18“‘Therefore you shall do my statutes, and keep my ordinances and do them; and you shall dwell in the land in safety.
18 Woodin sabbay se, araŋ m'ay hin sanney te, ka haggoy d'ay farilley k'i te, araŋ ga goro laabo ra mo baani samay.
18Wherefore ye shall do my statutes, and keep mine ordinances and do them; and ye shall dwell in the land in safety.
19The land shall yield its fruit, and you shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
19 Laabo mo ga nga albarka hay. Araŋ ma ŋwa ka kungu, ka goro a ra baani samay.
19And the land shall yield its fruit, and ye shall eat your fill, and dwell therein in safety.
20If you said, “What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase”;
20 D'araŋ ga ne: ‹Ifo no iri ga ŋwa jiiri iyyanta ra? Zama guna, iri si duma, iri si daŋ barma ra mo.›
20And if ye shall say, What shall we eat the seventh year? Behold, we shall not sow, nor gather in our increase;
21then I will command my blessing on you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.
21 Kal ay m'ay albarka lordi araŋ boŋ jiiri iddanta ra a ma albarka hay kaŋ ga naŋ a ma wasa araŋ se jiiri hinza din se.
21then I will command my blessing upon you in the sixth year, and it shall bring forth fruit for the three years.
22You shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, you shall eat the old store.
22 Jiiri ahakkanta araŋ ga duma ka soobay ka barma zeeney ntaaso ŋwa. Hala jiiri yagganta heemaro ga furo, araŋ ga ŋwa barma zeeney gaa.
22And ye shall sow the eighth year, and eat of the fruits, the old store; until the ninth year, until its fruits come in, ye shall eat the old store.
23“‘The land shall not be sold in perpetuity, for the land is mine; for you are strangers and live as foreigners with me.
23 I ma si laabo neera hal abada, zama laabo ya ay wane no. Araŋ mo yawyaŋ no kaŋ yaŋ zumbu ay gaa.
23And the land shall not be sold in perpetuity; for the land is mine: for ye are strangers and sojourners with me.
24In all the land of your possession you shall grant a redemption for the land.
24 Araŋ mayray laabo kulu ra mo, araŋ ma yadda i ma laabu fansa.
24And in all the land of your possession ye shall grant a redemption for the land.
25“‘If your brother becomes poor, and sells some of his possessions, then his kinsman who is next to him shall come, and redeem that which his brother has sold.
25 Da ni nya-ize te talka hal a na nga mayray haro jara neera, waato din gaa no a dumi kaŋ dumitara ga maan g'a kaa. Haŋ kaŋ a nya-izo neera din, a m'a fansa*.
25If thy brother be waxed poor, and sell some of his possession, then shall his kinsman that is next unto him come, and shall redeem that which his brother hath sold.
26If a man has no one to redeem it, and he becomes prosperous and finds sufficient means to redeem it;
26 Da bora din sinda boro kulu kaŋ g'a fansa, nga bumbo ye ka te arzaka mo, kaŋ ga naŋ a ga du k'a fansa,
26And if a man have no one to redeem it, and he be waxed rich and find sufficient to redeem it;
27then let him reckon the years since its sale, and restore the surplus to the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return to his property.
27then let him reckon the years of the sale thereof, and restore the overplus unto the man to whom he sold it; and he shall return unto his possession.
28But if he isn’t able to get it back for himself, then what he has sold shall remain in the hand of him who has bought it until the Year of Jubilee: and in the Jubilee it shall be released, and he shall return to his property.
28 Amma d'a mana hin ka du a nga boŋ se, kala haya kaŋ a neera ma goro bora kaŋ n'a day din kambe ra kala Yubili jiiro waate. Yubili jiiro ra mo a ga fatta. Koyo ga ye nga mayra do.
28But if he be not able to get it back for himself, then that which he hath sold shall remain in the hand of him that hath bought it until the year of jubilee: and in the jubilee it shall go out, and he shall return unto his possession.
29“‘If a man sells a dwelling house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it has been sold. For a full year he shall have the right of redemption.
29 Da boro fo na fu neera kwaara birni cinarikoy ra, a ga hin k'a fansa hala jiiri fo ga kubay a neerayaŋo banda. Hala jiiri fo ga kubay a gonda fondo a m'a fansa.
29And if a man sell a dwelling-house in a walled city, then he may redeem it within a whole year after it is sold; for a full year shall he have the right of redemption.
30If it isn’t redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him who bought it, throughout his generations. It shall not be released in the Jubilee.
30 Amma d'i man'a fansa hala jiiri fo ga kubay, kala fuwo kaŋ go birno ra, i m'a tabbatandi duumi bora kaŋ n'a day din se, hala nga zamaney me. A si fatta Yubili waate.
30And if it be not redeemed within the space of a full year, then the house that is in the walled city shall be made sure in perpetuity to him that bought it, throughout his generations: it shall not go out in the jubilee.
31But the houses of the villages which have no wall around them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall be released in the Jubilee.
31 Amma kawyey ra fuwey, naŋ kaŋ sinda birni cinari kwaara windanta, i g'i lasaabu farey banda laabo ra, i gonda fansa. I ga fatta mo Yubili waate.
31But the houses of the villages which have no wall round about them shall be reckoned with the fields of the country: they may be redeemed, and they shall go out in the jubilee.
32“‘Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses in the cities of their possession, the Levites may redeem at any time.
32 Kulu nda yaadin, Lawitey kwaarey ciine ra, da fuwey kaŋ yaŋ go i mayra kwaarey ra, Lawitey gonda fondo i m'i fansa waati kulu.
32Nevertheless the cities of the Levites, the houses of the cities of their possession, may the Levites redeem at any time.
33The Levites may redeem the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, and it shall be released in the Jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
33 Amma da Lawi boro fo mana nga fuwo fansa, kulu fuwo kaŋ i neera kwaara ra kaŋ ga ti mayray haro ga fatta Yubili waate. Zama fuwey kaŋ yaŋ go Lawitey kwaarey ra, ngey no ga ti i mayray haro Israyla izey game ra.
33And if one of the Levites redeem, then the house that was sold, and the city of his possession, shall go out in the jubilee; for the houses of the cities of the Levites are their possession among the children of Israel.
34But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
34 Amma i kwaarey kurey nangey si neera, zama ngey wo i wane no duumi.
34But the field of the suburbs of their cities may not be sold; for it is their perpetual possession.
35“‘If your brother has become poor, and his hand can’t support him among you; then you shall uphold him. He shall live with you like an alien and a temporary resident.
35 Da ni nya-izo kaŋ ga maan nin te talka hal a gaze, ni m'a kambu za. A ma goro ni do sanda yaw wala boro kaŋ kaa ka zumbu ni do.
35And if thy brother be waxed poor, and his hand fail with thee; then thou shalt uphold him: [as] a stranger and a sojourner shall he live with thee.
36Take no interest from him or profit, but fear your God; that your brother may live among you.
36Take thou no interest of him or increase, but fear thy God; that thy brother may live with thee.
37You shall not lend him your money at interest, nor give him your food for profit.
37 Ni ma si ni nooro garaw a se da hari; hala hõ, ni ma si ŋwaari no a se ka riiba ta.
37Thou shalt not give him thy money upon interest, nor give him thy victuals for increase.
38I am Yahweh your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, and to be your God.
38 Ay ya Rabbi no, araŋ Irikoyo, kaŋ n'araŋ fattandi araŋ ma fun Misira laabo ra, ay m'araŋ no Kanaana laabo; ay ma ciya araŋ Irikoyo.
38I am Jehovah your God, who brought you forth out of the land of Egypt, to give you the land of Canaan, [and] to be your God.
39“‘If your brother has grown poor among you, and sells himself to you; you shall not make him to serve as a slave.
39And if thy brother be waxed poor with thee, and sell himself unto thee; thou shalt not make him to serve as a bond-servant.
40As a hired servant, and as a temporary resident, he shall be with you; he shall serve with you until the Year of Jubilee:
40 A ga goro ni do danga goy-ize, danga yaw kaŋ zumbu. A ga may ni se kala Yubili jiiro.
40As a hired servant, and as a sojourner, he shall be with thee; he shall serve with thee unto the year of jubilee:

41 Gaa no a ga fun ni do, nga nda nga izey a banda. A ga ye nga bumbo fu borey do. A ga ye nga kaayey mayray haro ra.
41then shall he go out from thee, he and his children with him, and shall return unto his own family, and unto the possession of his fathers shall he return.
42For they are my servants, whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. They shall not be sold as slaves.
42 Zama ay tamyaŋ no, ngey kaŋ yaŋ ay fattandi i ma fun Misira laabo ra. I ma si i neera danga bannyayaŋ.
42For they are my servants, whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: they shall not be sold as bondmen.
43You shall not rule over him with harshness, but shall fear your God.
43Thou shalt not rule over him with rigor, but shalt fear thy God.
44“‘As for your male and your female slaves, whom you may have; of the nations that are around you, from them you may buy male and female slaves.
44 Ni bannyey da ni koŋŋey kaŋ yaŋ ni ga du ciine ra binde, kal araŋ m'i day dumey kaŋ yaŋ go araŋ windanta gaa, bannyayaŋ nda koŋŋayaŋ.
44And as for thy bondmen, and thy bondmaids, whom thou shalt have; of the nations that are round about you, of them shall ye buy bondmen and bondmaids.
45Moreover of the children of the aliens who live among you, of them you may buy, and of their families who are with you, which they have conceived in your land; and they will be your property.
45 Woodin banda, yawey kaŋ kaa ka goro araŋ game ra, i izey d'i dumi kaŋ i ga hay araŋ laabo ra gaa no araŋ ga day. Ngey no ga ciya araŋ waney.
45Moreover of the children of the strangers that sojourn among you, of them shall ye buy, and of their families that are with you, which they have begotten in your land: and they shall be your possession.
46You may make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them may you take your slaves forever: but over your brothers the children of Israel you shall not rule, one over another, with harshness.
46 Araŋ m'i ciya tubu hari araŋ izey se araŋ banda. I m'i gaay mayray hari. Araŋ m'araŋ tamey suuban i ra hala abada.
46And ye shall make them an inheritance for your children after you, to hold for a possession; of them shall ye take your bondmen for ever: but over your brethren the children of Israel ye shall not rule, one over another, with rigor.
47“‘If an alien or temporary resident with you becomes rich, and your brother beside him has grown poor, and sells himself to the stranger or foreigner living among you, or to a member of the stranger’s family;
47 Da yaw fo wala boro kaŋ goro araŋ do te arzaka, a jarga mo ni nya-ize fo te talka, ka nga boŋ neera yawo kaŋ goro din se, wala a ma nga boŋ neera yawo dumi fo se,
47And if a stranger or sojourner with thee be waxed rich, and thy brother be waxed poor beside him, and sell himself unto the stranger [or] sojourner with thee, or to the stock of the stranger's family;
48after he is sold he may be redeemed. One of his brothers may redeem him;

48after that he is sold he may be redeemed: one of his brethren may redeem him;
49or his uncle, or his uncle’s son, may redeem him, or any who is a close relative to him of his family may redeem him; or if he has grown rich, he may redeem himself.
49 wala a baaba fo, wala a baaba fo ize, wala boro kulu kaŋ ga ti a dumi kaŋ ga maan a, i ga hin k'a fansa.
49or his uncle, or his uncle's son, may redeem him, or any that is nigh of kin unto him of his family may redeem him; or if he be waxed rich, he may redeem himself.
50He shall reckon with him who bought him from the year that he sold himself to him to the Year of Jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according to the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.
A daymi nooro ga ciya jiirey baa yaŋ boŋ kaŋ a goro a do, mate kaŋ i ga goy-ize alwaati bana.
50And he shall reckon with him that bought him from the year that he sold himself to him unto the year of jubilee: and the price of his sale shall be according unto the number of years; according to the time of a hired servant shall he be with him.
51If there are yet many years, according to them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
51 D'a cindi jiiri boobo, kal i lasaabo boŋ a ma nga fansa nooro bana ka nooro kaŋ i n'a day d'a ye koyo se.
51If there be yet many years, according unto them he shall give back the price of his redemption out of the money that he was bought for.
52If there remain but a few years to the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according to his years of service he shall give back the price of his redemption.
52 D'a cindi jiiri kayna fooyaŋ hala Yubili jiiro ga to mo, kal a ma lasaabo te d'a. A jiirey boŋ no i ga fansa nooro yeti a se.
52And if there remain but few years unto the year of jubilee, then he shall reckon with him; according unto his years shall he give back the price of his redemption.
53As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with harshness over him in your sight.
53 Mate kaŋ i goy-izey go, kaŋ i zinga nd'a jiiri fo goy, yaadin no a ga goro koyo do. A ma s'a may da laala ni jine.
53As a servant hired year by year shall he be with him: he shall not rule with rigor over him in thy sight.
54If he isn’t redeemed by these means, then he shall be released in the Year of Jubilee, he, and his children with him.
54 Amma d'i man'a fansa jiirey din kulu ra, a ga fatta Yubili jiiro ra, nga nda nga izey a banda.
54And if he be not redeemed by these [means], then he shall go out in the year of jubilee, he, and his children with him.
55For to me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought out of the land of Egypt. I am Yahweh your God.
Ay tamyaŋ no kaŋ yaŋ ay fattandi i ma fun Misira laabo ra. Ay ya Rabbi no, araŋ Irikoyo.»
55For unto me the children of Israel are servants; they are my servants whom I brought forth out of the land of Egypt: I am Jehovah your God.
