1Woe to those who devise iniquity and work evil on their beds! When the morning is light, they practice it, because it is in the power of their hand.
1 Kaari ngey kaŋ ga zamba dabarey kunsum, I ga laala soola mo ngey daarey boŋ. Da susuba to mo, i g'a te, Zama a go i kambey hino ra.
1Woe to them that devise iniquity and work evil upon their beds! when the morning is light, they practise it, because it is in the power of their hand.
2They covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
2 I ga fariyaŋ bini, i g'i kom, Da windiyaŋ mo, hal i m'i ta. I ga boro nda nga windo kom, Oho, hala boro nda nga tubo.
2And they covet fields, and seize them; and houses, and take them away: and they oppress a man and his house, even a man and his heritage.
3Therefore thus says Yahweh: “Behold, I am planning against these people a disaster, from which you will not remove your necks, neither will you walk haughtily; for it is an evil time.
3 Woodin yaŋ sabbay se no, yaa no Rabbi ci: A go, ay mo, ay ga masiiba soola almayaalo wo boŋ. Araŋ si hin mo k'araŋ boŋ kaa tibi. Araŋ si du ka dira ka boŋ jare beene koyne, Za kaŋ zamana woone ga ciya ilaalo.
3Therefore thus saith Jehovah: Behold, against this family do I devise an evil, from which ye shall not remove your necks, neither shall ye walk haughtily; for it is an evil time.
4In that day they will take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, saying, ‘We are utterly ruined! My people’s possession is divided up. Indeed he takes it from me and assigns our fields to traitors!’”
4 Zaari woodin ra i ga misa te araŋ boŋ. I ma hẽ da hẽeni kaŋ ga bakarandi, i ma ne: «Iri halaci parkatak!» A n'ay borey baa barmay, Guna mate kaŋ a n'a sambu nd'a ay do. A n'iri farey wo fay ka zaban turantey se.
4In that day shall they take up a parable against you, and lament with a doleful lamentation, [and] say, We are utterly ruined: he changeth the portion of my people: how doth he remove [it] from me! to the rebellious he divideth our fields.
5Therefore you will have no one who divides the land by lot in the assembly of Yahweh.
5 Woodin se no ni ga jaŋ boro kaŋ ga korfo candi nga baa neesiyaŋ sabbay se Rabbi jama ra.
5Therefore thou shalt have none that shall cast the line by lot in the assembly of Jehovah.
6“Don’t prophesy!” They prophesy. “Don’t prophesy about these things. Disgrace won’t overtake us.”
6 I go ga ne: «Wa fay da annabitaray woodin dumi. Wa si annabitaray sanni woodin yaŋ dumi te, Boro kulu si iri kaynandi ya-cine.»
6Prophesy ye not, [thus] they prophesy. They shall not prophesy to these: reproaches shall not depart.
7Shall it be said, O house of Jacob: “Is the Spirit of Yahweh angry? Are these his doings? Don’t my words do good to him who walks blamelessly?”
7 Ya nin, Yakuba kunda, i go ga woone ci, wala? Rabbi Biya to nga suuro me no? A goyo nooya, wala? Wala ay sanney mana te nafa fo no boro kaŋ goono ga dira cimi ra se?
7Shall it be said, O house of Jacob, Is the Spirit of Jehovah straitened? are these his doings? Do not my words do good to him that walketh uprightly?
8But lately my people have risen up as an enemy. You strip the robe and clothing from those who pass by without a care, returning from battle.
8 Amma jirbey wo ay borey tun sanda day ibareyaŋ. Borey kaŋ go ga bisa baani samay, Ngey kaŋ go ga fun wongu do. Araŋ ga kwaay beeri kaa i kwaay-ize boŋ.
8But of late my people is risen up as an enemy: ye strip the robe from off the garment from them that pass by securely [as men] averse from war.
9You drive the women of my people out from their pleasant houses; from their young children you take away my blessing forever.
9 Araŋ n'ay jama wayborey jindaw ka kaa ngey windi kaaney ra. Araŋ goono g'ay darza kom i ize kayney gaa hal abada.
9The women of my people ye cast out from their pleasant houses; from their young children ye take away my glory for ever.
10Arise, and depart! For this is not your resting place, because of uncleanness that destroys, even with a grievous destruction.
10 Wa tun ka dira ne, Zama neewo manti araŋ fulanzamyaŋ do no bo. Hananyaŋ-jaŋay kaŋ ga halacandi sabbay se no, Halaciyaŋ korno ga te.
10Arise ye, and depart; for this is not your resting-place; because of uncleanness that destroyeth, even with a grievous destruction.
11If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood lies: “I will prophesy to you of wine and of strong drink”; he would be the prophet of this people.
11 Hala day tangarikom na nga tangari dumbu ka ne: «Ay ga duvan* da baji yulwa annabitaray te ni se» -- to, bora din no ga ti dumo wo se annabi*.
11If a man walking in a spirit of falsehood do lie, [saying], I will prophesy unto thee of wine and of strong drink; he shall even be the prophet of this people.
12I will surely assemble, Jacob, all of you; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture; they will swarm with people.
12 Daahir, kal ay m'araŋ kulu margu, Ya nin Yakuba. Daahir ay ga Israyla dumo kaŋ cindi margu. Ay g'i margu care ra sanda kali ra feejiyaŋ, Sanda kuru kaŋ go nga kuray nango bindo ra. Kosongu beeri ga te jama marga baayaŋ sabbay se.
12I will surely assemble, O Jacob, all of thee; I will surely gather the remnant of Israel; I will put them together as the sheep of Bozrah, as a flock in the midst of their pasture; they shall make great noise by reason of [the multitude of] men.
13He who breaks open the way goes up before them. They break through the gate, and go out. And their king passes on before them, with Yahweh at their head.
13 Kurukwa ga kali meyo bagu ka fatta i jine, Almaney ga kali meyo bagu ka tonton, i ga fatta a ra mo. I koyo ga bisa ka furo i jine, Rabbi no ga ti i boŋo.
13The breaker is gone up before them: they have broken forth and passed on to the gate, and are gone out thereat; and their king is passed on before them, and Jehovah at the head of them.
