1Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,
1 Rabbi salaŋ Musa se koyne ka ne:
1And Jehovah spake unto Moses, saying,
2“Speak to the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers’ house, of all their princes according to their fathers’ houses, twelve rods: write every man’s name on his rod.
2Speak unto the children of Israel, and take of them rods, one for each fathers' house, of all their princes according to their fathers' houses, twelve rods: write thou every man's name upon his rod.
3You shall write Aaron’s name on the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers’ houses.
3 Ma Haruna maa hantum Lawi goobo gaa. I ma ciya goobu fo kunda kulu jine boro se.
3And thou shalt write Aaron's name upon the rod of Levi; for there shall be one rod for each head of their fathers' houses.
4You shall lay them up in the Tent of Meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
4 Ni m'i jisi kubayyaŋ hukumo ra seeda nango jine, nango kaŋ ay doona ka kubay d'araŋ.
4And thou shalt lay them up in the tent of meeting before the testimony, where I meet with you.
5It shall happen, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.”
5 A ga ciya mo, bora kaŋ ay n'a goobo suuban, goobo ga zay. Yaadin no ay ga te hala Israyla izey janceyaŋo ma ban ay gaa, kaŋ i goono ga jance ni boŋ.»
5And it shall come to pass, that the rod of the man whom I shall choose shall bud: and I will make to cease from me the murmurings of the children of Israel, which they murmur against you.
6Moses spoke to the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers’ houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
6 Kala Musa salaŋ Israyla izey se. I jine borey kulu n'a no goobuyaŋ: goobu fo jine boro fo se, goobu fo jine boro fo se, danga goobu way cindi hinka nooya. Haruna goobo mo go i goobey game ra.
6And Moses spake unto the children of Israel; and all their princes gave him rods, for each prince one, according to their fathers' houses, even twelve rods: and the rod of Aaron was among their rods.
7Moses laid up the rods before Yahweh in the tent of the testimony.
7 Musa binde na goobey jisi Rabbi jine, seeda hukumo ra.
7And Moses laid up the rods before Jehovah in the tent of the testimony.
8It happened on the next day, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bore ripe almonds.
8 A ciya mo, a suba waato kaŋ Musa furo seeda hukumo ra, kal a go, Haruna goobo, Lawi kunda wano zay ka zaada, a na boosiyaŋ te, a na amand* izeyaŋ hay.
8And it came to pass on the morrow, that Moses went into the tent of the testimony; and, behold, the rod of Aaron for the house of Levi was budded, and put forth buds, and produced blossoms, and bare ripe almonds.
9Moses brought out all the rods from before Yahweh to all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
9 Kala Musa fatta nda goobey kulu kaŋ yaŋ go Rabbi jine ka kand'ey Israyla izey do. Ngey mo guna, boro fo kulu na nga goobo ta.
9And Moses brought out all the rods from before Jehovah unto all the children of Israel: and they looked, and took every man his rod.
10Yahweh said to Moses, “Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that you may make an end of their murmurings against me, that they not die.”
10 Rabbi ne Musa se: «Ma Haruna goobo ye seeda jine, i m'a gaay a ma ciya alaama murteyaŋ izey wo se. Yaadin no i g'i janceyaŋo kaa d'a ay jine hal i ma si bu.»
10And Jehovah said unto Moses, Put back the rod of Aaron before the testimony, to be kept for a token against the children of rebellion; that thou mayest make an end of their murmurings against me, that they die not.
11Moses did so. As Yahweh commanded him, so he did.
11 Musa mo te yaadin. Mate kaŋ cine Rabbi n'a lordi nd'a, yaadin mo no a te.
11Thus did Moses: as Jehovah commanded him, so did he.
12The children of Israel spoke to Moses, saying, “Behold, we perish! We are undone! We are all undone!
12 Kala Israyla izey salaŋ Musa se ka ne: «Way! way! Iri go ga bu! Iri go ga halaci, iri kulu ga halaci!
12And the children of Israel spake unto Moses, saying, Behold, we perish, we are undone, we are all undone.
13Everyone who comes near, who comes near to the tabernacle of Yahweh, dies! Will we all perish?”
13 Boro kulu kaŋ kaa ka maan Rabbi Irikoy nangora gaa baa kayna, a koy ga bu. Wala iri kulu ga halaci no?»
13Every one that cometh near, that cometh near unto the tabernacle of Jehovah, dieth: shall we perish all of us?
