1The angel who talked with me came again, and wakened me, as a man who is wakened out of his sleep.
1 Malayka kaŋ in d'a go ga salaŋ ye ka kaa koyne. A naŋ ay mo ma hay sanda boro kaŋ i tunandi jirbi gaa.
1And the angel that talked with me came again, and waked me, as a man that is wakened out of his sleep.
2He said to me, “What do you see?” I said, “I have seen, and behold, a lampstand all of gold, with its bowl on the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are on the top of it;
2 A ne ay se: «Ifo no ni di?» Ay mo ne: «Ay guna, ay di fitilla suntulo kaŋ a kulu wura no. Cambu fo go a boŋ beene da nga fitilla deene iyye beene. Ji dooruyaŋ fondo iyye go no mo, fondo fo deene fo kulu kaŋ go beene se.
2And he said unto me, What seest thou? And I said, I have seen, and, behold, a candlestick all of gold, with its bowl upon the top of it, and its seven lamps thereon; there are seven pipes to each of the lamps, which are upon the top thereof;
3and two olive trees by it, one on the right side of the bowl, and the other on the left side of it.”
3 Zeytun* nya hinka mo go no koyne a do, afa go cambo kambe ŋwaari haray, afa mo a kambe wow haray.»
3and two olive-trees by it, one upon the right side of the bowl, and the other upon the left side thereof.
4I answered and spoke to the angel who talked with me, saying, “What are these, my lord?”
4 Ay ye ka salaŋ da malayka kaŋ in d'a go ga salaŋ ka ne: «Ya nin, ay jine bora, ifo misa no woone yaŋ?»
4And I answered and spake to the angel that talked with me, saying, What are these, my lord?
5Then the angel who talked with me answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”
5 Gaa no malayka kaŋ in d'a go ga salaŋ din tu ka ne ay se: «Ni mana bay haŋ kaŋ misa no woone yaŋ?» Ay ne: «Ya ay jine bora, ay mana bay.»
5Then the angel that talked with me answered and said unto me, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
6Then he answered and spoke to me, saying, “This is the word of Yahweh to Zerubbabel, saying, ‘Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit,’ says Yahweh of Armies.
6 Gaa no a tu ka ne ay se: «Woone no ga ti Rabbi sanno kaŋ ga koy Zerubabel do ka ne: Manti gaabi do bo, manti mo hina do, amma ay Biya do no. Yaadin no Rabbi Kundeykoyo ci.
6Then he answered and spake unto me, saying, This is the word of Jehovah unto Zerubbabel, saying, Not by might, nor by power, but by my Spirit, saith Jehovah of hosts.
7Who are you, great mountain? Before Zerubbabel you are a plain; and he will bring out the capstone with shouts of ‘Grace, grace, to it!’”
7 Ya tondi kuuko, may ci nin binde? Zerubabel jine ni ga ciya banda fo. A ga tondo fu yolla dake mo. I ga soobay ka kuuwa a se ka ne: ‹Wa saabu, wa saabu a sabbay se!!› »
7Who art thou, O great mountain? before Zerubbabel [thou shalt become] a plain; and he shall bring forth the top stone with shoutings of Grace, grace, unto it.
8Moreover the word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
8 Rabbi sanno kaa ay do koyne ka ne:
8Moreover the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
9“The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house. His hands shall also finish it; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.
9 Zerubabel kambey no ka windo wo daba sinji, a kambey mo no g'a kubandi. Ni ga bay mo kaŋ Rabbi Kundeykoyo no k'ay donton araŋ do.
9The hands of Zerubbabel have laid the foundation of this house; his hands shall also finish it; and thou shalt know that Jehovah of hosts hath sent me unto you.
10Indeed, who despises the day of small things? For these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plumb line in the hand of Zerubbabel. These are the eyes of Yahweh, which run back and forth through the whole earth.”
10 Zama may no ka donda hari kayney zaaro? Zama borey ga farhã waato kaŋ i ga di neesiyaŋ tondi Zerubabel kamba ra. Iyya din ya Rabbi moy no, kaŋ yaŋ ga zuru, i ga koy, i ga ye mo ndunnya kulu ra.
10For who hath despised the day of small things? for these seven shall rejoice, and shall see the plummet in the hand of Zerubbabel; [these are] the eyes of Jehovah, which run to and fro through the whole earth.
11Then I asked him, “What are these two olive trees on the right side of the lampstand and on the left side of it?”
11 Gaa no ay tu ka ne a se: «Ifo yaŋ no zeytun* nya hinka din kaŋ go fitilla suntulo kambe ŋwaari d'a kambe wow gaa binde?»
11Then answered I, and said unto him, What are these two olive-trees upon the right side of the candlestick and upon the left side thereof?
12I asked him the second time, “What are these two olive branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that pour the golden oil out of themselves?”
12 Ay ye k'a hã mo koyne sorro hinkanta ka ne a se: «Ifo yaŋ no zeytun kambe hinko wo kaŋ goono ga ji soogu ka kaa ngey boŋ se wura gombo hinko wo ra?»
12And I answered the second time, and said unto him, What are these two olive-branches, which are beside the two golden spouts, that empty the golden [oil] out of themselves?
13He answered me, “Don’t you know what these are?” I said, “No, my lord.”
13 A tu ay se ka ne: «Ni mana bay haŋ kaŋ no woone yaŋ, wala?» Kal ay ne: «Abada, ya ay jine bora.»
13And he answered me and said, Knowest thou not what these are? And I said, No, my lord.
14Then he said, “These are the two anointed ones who stand by the Lord The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” of the whole earth.”
14 Gaa no a ne: «Woone yaŋ ga ti boro hinka din kaŋ i suuban ka tuusu nda ji, i goono ga kay mo ndunnya kulu Koyo jarga.»
14Then said he, These are the two anointed ones, that stand by the Lord of the whole earth.
