Zechariah

6

1Again I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, four chariots came out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
1 Ay ye k'ay boŋ sambu koyne, kal ay di torko taaci go no kaŋ fun tondi hinka game ra. Tondey din mo, guuru-say tondiyaŋ no.
1And again I lifted up mine eyes, and saw, and, behold, there came four chariots out from between two mountains; and the mountains were mountains of brass.
2In the first chariot were red horses; in the second chariot black horses;
2 Torko sintina, bari cirayyaŋ no g'a candi, torko hinkanta, bari biyaŋ no,
2In the first chariot were red horses; and in the second chariot black horses;
3in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot dappled horses, all of them powerful.
3 ihinzanta, bari kwaarayyaŋ no, torko taacanta mo, bari boosayaŋ kaŋ gonda gaabi no.
3and in the third chariot white horses; and in the fourth chariot grizzled strong horses.
4Then I asked the angel who talked with me, “What are these, my lord?”
4 Waato din gaa no ay tu malayka kaŋ in d'a goono ga salaŋ din se ka ne: «Ya ay jina bora, ifo no woone yaŋ wo?»
4Then I answered and said unto the angel that talked with me, What are these, my lord?
5The angel answered me, “These are the four winds of the sky, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
5 Malayka tu ka ne ay se: «Woone yaŋ ga ti beene biya taaca, kaŋ yaŋ ga kay ndunnya kulu Rabbo jine, i ga fatta mo.
5And the angel answered and said unto me, These are the four winds of heaven, which go forth from standing before the Lord of all the earth.
6The one with the black horses goes out toward the north country; and the white went out after them; and the dappled went forth toward the south country.”
6 Bari biyey wano ga fatta ka koy azawa kambe haray laabo ra. Ikwaarayey mo ga fatta k'i gana. Boosey mo ga fatta ka koy dandi kambe laabo ra haray.»
6[The chariot] wherein are the black horses goeth forth toward the north country; and the white went forth after them; and the grizzled went forth toward the south country.
7The strong went out, and sought to go that they might walk back and forth through the earth: and he said, “Go around and through the earth!” So they walked back and forth through the earth.
7 Kaŋ icirayey fatta, i gonda anniya ngey ma koy-da-ye te ndunnya ra. Rabbi ne: Wa koy ka bar-bare. Wa koy-da-ye te ndunnya ra. I binde bar-bare, i goono ga koy-da-ye te ndunnya ra.
7And the strong went forth, and sought to go that they might walk to and fro through the earth: and he said, Get you hence, walk to and fro through the earth. So they walked to and fro through the earth.
8Then he called to me, and spoke to me, saying, “Behold, those who go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.”
8 A binde na jinde sambu noodin k'ay ce ka ne ay se: Guna wo kaŋ yaŋ goono ga dira ka koy azawa kambe haray laabo ra. I n'ay bina yeenandi azawa kambe haray laabo ra.
8Then cried he to me, and spake unto me, saying, Behold, they that go toward the north country have quieted my spirit in the north country.
9The word of Yahweh came to me, saying,
9 Rabbi sanno kaa ay do koyne ka ne:
9And the word of Jehovah came unto me, saying,
10“Take of them of the captivity, even of Heldai, of Tobijah, and of Jedaiah; and come the same day, and go into the house of Josiah the son of Zephaniah, where they have come from Babylon.

15Those who are far off shall come and build in Yahweh’s temple; and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you. This will happen, if you will diligently obey the voice of Yahweh your God .”’”
