²Meshelemiah had sons: Zechariah the firstborn, Jediael the second, Zebadiah the third, Jathniel the fourth,

²மெஷெலேமியாவின் குமாரர், மூத்தவனாகிய சகரியாவும்,

³Elam the fifth, Jehohanan the sixth, Eliehoenai the seventh.

³எதியாயேல், செபதியா, யதனியேல், ஏலாம், யோகனான், எலியோனாய் என்னும் இரண்டாம் மூன்றாம் நான்காம் ஐந்தாம் ஆறாம் ஏழாம் குமாரரும்,

⁴Obed-Edom had sons: Shemaiah the firstborn, Jehozabad the second, Joah the third, and Sacar the fourth, and Nethanel the fifth,

⁴ஓபேத்ஏதோமின் குமாரர், மூத்தவனாகிய செமாயாவும்,

⁵Ammiel the sixth, Issachar the seventh, Peullethai the eighth; for God blessed him.

⁵யோசபாத், யோவாக், சாக்கார், நெதனெயேல், அம்மியேல், இசக்கார், பெயுள்தாயி என்னும் இரண்டாம் மூன்றாம் நான்காம் ஐந்தாம் ஆறாம் ஏழாம் எட்டாம் குமாரருமே; தேவன் அவனை ஆசீர்வதித்திருந்தார்.

⁶Also to Shemaiah his son were sons born, who ruled over the house of their father; for they were mighty men of valor.

⁶அவன் குமாரனாகிய செமாயாவுக்கும் குமாரர் பிறந்து, அவர்கள் பராக்கிரமசாலிகளாயிருந்து, தங்கள் தகப்பன் குடும்பத்தாரை ஆண்டார்கள்.

⁷The sons of Shemaiah: Othni, and Rephael, and Obed, Elzabad, whose brothers were valiant men, Elihu, and Semachiah.

⁸All these were of the sons of Obed-Edom: they and their sons and their brothers, able men in strength for the service; sixty-two of Obed-Edom.

⁹Meshelemiah had sons and brothers, valiant men, eighteen.

¹⁰Also Hosah, of the children of Merari, had sons: Shimri the chief, (for though he was not the firstborn, yet his father made him chief),

¹¹Hilkiah the second, Tebaliah the third, Zechariah the fourth: all the sons and brothers of Hosah were thirteen.

¹¹இல்க்கியா, தெபலியா, சகரியா என்னும் இரண்டாம் மூன்றாம் நான்காம் குமாரரானவர்கள்; ஓசாவின் குமாரரும் சகோதரரும் எல்லாம் பதின்மூன்றுபேர்.

¹²Of these were the divisions of the doorkeepers, even of the chief men, having offices like their brothers, to minister in the house of Yahweh.

¹³They cast lots, the small as well as the great, according to their fathers’ houses, for every gate.

¹⁴The lot eastward fell to Shelemiah. Then for Zechariah his son, a wise counselor, they cast lots; and his lot came out northward.

¹⁴கீழ்ப்புறத்திற்குச் செலேமியாவுக்குச் சீட்டு விழுந்தது; விவேகமுள்ள யோசனைக்காரனாகிய சகரியா என்னும் அவன் குமாரனுக்குச் சீட்டுப் போட்டபோது, அவன் சீட்டு வடபுறத்திற்கென்று விழுந்தது.

¹⁵To Obed-Edom southward; and to his sons the storehouse.

¹⁵ஓபேத்ஏதோமுக்குத் தென்புறத்திற்கும், அவன் குமாரருக்கு அசுப்பீம் வீட்டிற்கும்,

¹⁶To Shuppim and Hosah westward, by the gate of Shallecheth, at the causeway that goes up, watch against watch.

²⁷They dedicated some of the spoil won in battles to repair the house of Yahweh.

²⁸All that Samuel the seer, and Saul the son of Kish, and Abner the son of Ner, and Joab the son of Zeruiah, had dedicated, whoever had dedicated anything, it was under the hand of Shelomoth, and of his brothers.

²⁹Of the Izharites, Chenaniah and his sons were for the outward business over Israel, for officers and judges.

³¹Of the Hebronites was Jerijah the chief, even of the Hebronites, according to their generations by fathers’ households. In the fortieth year of the reign of David they were sought for, and there were found among them mighty men of valor at Jazer of Gilead.

³²His brothers, men of valor, were two thousand seven hundred, heads of fathers’ households, whom king David made overseers over the Reubenites, and the Gadites, and the half-tribe of the Manassites, for every matter pertaining to God, and for the affairs of the king.
