¹Yahweh spoke to Moses, after the death of the two sons of Aaron, when they drew near before Yahweh, and died;

¹ஆரோனின் இரண்டு குமாரர் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலே சேர்ந்து மரித்துப்போனபின்பு, கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

²and Yahweh said to Moses, “Tell Aaron your brother, not to come at all times into the Most Holy Place within the veil, before the mercy seat which is on the ark; lest he die: for I will appear in the cloud on the mercy seat.

²கிருபாசனத்தின்மேல் ஒரு மேகத்தில் நான் காணப்படுவேன்; ஆதலால் உன் சகோதரனாகிய ஆரோன் சாகாதபடி, பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலே திரைக்கு உட்புறத்திலிருக்கிற பெட்டியின்மேலுள்ள கிருபாசன மூடிக்கு முன்பாகச் சகல வேளையிலும் வரவேண்டாம் என்று அவனுக்குச் சொல்.

³“Herewith shall Aaron come into the sanctuary: with a young bull for a sin offering, and a ram for a burnt offering.

³ஆரோன் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கவேண்டிய விதமாவது: அவன் ஒரு காளையைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகவும், ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகவும் செலுத்திப் பிரவேசிக்கவேண்டும்.

⁴He shall put on the holy linen coat, and he shall have the linen breeches on his body, and shall put on the linen sash, and he shall be clothed with the linen turban. They are the holy garments. He shall bathe his body in water, and put them on.

⁴அவன் பரிசுத்தமான சணல்நூல்சட்டையைத் தரித்து, தன் அரைக்குச் சணல்நூல் ஜல்லடத்தைப் போட்டு, சணல்நூல் இடைக்கச்சையைக் கட்டி, சணல்நூல் பாகையைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டிருக்கவேண்டும்; அவைகள் பரிசுத்த வஸ்திரங்கள்; அவன் ஜலத்திலே ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, அவைகளைத் தரித்துக்கொண்டு,

⁵He shall take from the congregation of the children of Israel two male goats for a sin offering, and one ram for a burnt offering.

⁵இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரராகிய சபையாரிடத்திலே, பாவநிவாரணபலியாக இரண்டு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களையும், சர்வாங்கதகனபலியாக ஒரு ஆட்டுகடாவையும் வாங்கக்கடவன்.

⁶“Aaron shall offer the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and make atonement for himself and for his house.

⁶பின்பு ஆரோன் தனக்காகவும் தன் வீட்டாருக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படிக்கு, தன்னுடைய பாவநிவாரணபலியின் காளையைச் சேரப்பண்ணி,

⁷He shall take the two goats, and set them before Yahweh at the door of the Tent of Meeting.

⁷அந்த இரண்டு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களையும் கொண்டுவந்து, ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரவாசலிலே கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் நிறுத்தி,

⁸Aaron shall cast lots for the two goats; one lot for Yahweh, and the other lot for the scapegoat.

⁸அந்த இரண்டு வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாக்களையுங்குறித்துக் கர்த்தருக்கென்று ஒரு சீட்டும், போக்காடாக விடப்படும் வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவுக்கென்று ஒரு சீட்டும் போட்டு,

⁹Aaron shall present the goat on which the lot fell for Yahweh, and offer him for a sin offering.

⁹கர்த்தருக்கென்று சீட்டு விழுந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவைப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாகச் சேரப்பண்ணி,

¹⁰But the goat, on which the lot fell for the scapegoat, shall be presented alive before Yahweh, to make atonement for him, to send him away for the scapegoat into the wilderness.

¹⁰போக்காடாக விடப்படச் சீட்டு விழுந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவை, அதைக் கொண்டு பாவநிவிர்த்தி உண்டாக்கவும் அதைப் போக்காடாக வனாந்தரத்திலே போகவிடவும், கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் உயிரோடே நிறுத்தி;

¹¹“Aaron shall present the bull of the sin offering, which is for himself, and shall make atonement for himself and for his house, and shall kill the bull of the sin offering which is for himself.

¹¹பின்பு ஆரோன் தனக்காவும் தன் வீட்டாருக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படி, தன்னுடைய பாவநிவாரணத்துக்கான காளையைக் கொண்டுவந்து, அதைக்கொன்று,

¹²He shall take a censer full of coals of fire from off the altar before Yahweh, and two handfuls of sweet incense beaten small, and bring it within the veil:

¹²கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியிலிருக்கும் பலிபீடத்தின்மேலுள்ள நெருப்புத்தணலினால் தூபகலசத்தை நிரப்பி, பொடியாக்கப்பட்ட சுகந்த தூபவர்க்கத்திலே தன் கைப்பிடிகள் நிறைய எடுத்து, திரைக்கு உட்புறமாகக் கொண்டுவந்து,

¹³and he shall put the incense on the fire before Yahweh, that the cloud of the incense may cover the mercy seat that is on the testimony, so that he will not die.

¹³தான் சாகாதபடிக்கு தூபமேகமானது சாட்சிப்பெட்டியின்மேல் இருக்கும் கிருபாசனத்தை மூடத்தக்கதாக, கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் அக்கினியின்மேல் தூபவர்க்கத்தைப் போடக்கடவன்.

¹⁴He shall take some of the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it with his finger on the mercy seat on the east; and before the mercy seat he shall sprinkle some of the blood with his finger seven times.

¹⁴பின்பு காளையின் இரத்தத்திலே கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, கீழ்ப்புறமாக நின்று, தன் விரலினால் கிருபாசனத்தின்மேல் தெளித்து, அந்த இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்துக் கிருபாசனத்துக்கு முன்பாக ஏழுதரம் தன் விரலினால் தெளிக்கக்கடவன்.

¹⁵“Then he shall kill the goat of the sin offering, that is for the people, and bring his blood within the veil, and do with his blood as he did with the blood of the bull, and sprinkle it on the mercy seat, and before the mercy seat:

¹⁵பின்பு ஜனத்தினுடைய பாவநிவாரணபலியான வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவை அவன் கொன்று, அதின் இரத்தத்தைத் திரைக்கு உட்புறமாகக் கொண்டுவந்து, காளையின் இரத்தத்தைத் தெளித்தது போல, அதின் இரத்தத்தையும் கிருபாசனத்தின்மேலும் அதற்கு முன்பாகவும் தெளித்து,

¹⁶and he shall make atonement for the Holy Place, because of the uncleanness of the children of Israel, and because of their transgressions, even all their sins; and so he shall do for the Tent of Meeting, that dwells with them in the midst of their uncleanness.

¹⁶இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய தீட்டுகளினிமித்தமும், அவர்களுடைய சகல பாவங்களினாலும் உண்டான அவர்களுடைய மீறுதல்களினிமித்தமும், பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திற்காகப் பிராயச்சித்தஞ்செய்து, அவர்களிடத்தில் அவர்களுடைய தீட்டுகளுக்குள்ளே நிற்கிற ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்திற்காகவும் அப்படியே செய்யக்கடவன்.

¹⁷No one shall be in the Tent of Meeting when he enters to make atonement in the Holy Place, until he comes out, and has made atonement for himself and for his household, and for all the assembly of Israel.

¹⁷பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யும்படி அவன் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து, தனக்காகவும் தன் வீட்டாருக்காகவும் இஸ்ரவேல் சபையார் அனைவருக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து, வெளியே வருமளவும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்தில் ஒருவரும் இருக்கலாகாது.

¹⁸“He shall go out to the altar that is before Yahweh and make atonement for it, and shall take some of the bull’s blood, and some of the goat’s blood, and put it around on the horns of the altar.

¹⁸பின்பு அவன் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் இருக்கிற பலிபீடத்தண்டை வந்து, அதற்காகப் பிராயச்சித்தஞ்செய்து, காளையின் இரத்தத்திலும் வெள்ளாட்டுக் கடாவின் இரத்தத்திலும் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்துக் கொம்புகளின் மேல் சுற்றிலும் பூசி,

¹⁹He shall sprinkle some of the blood on it with his finger seven times, and cleanse it, and make it holy from the uncleanness of the children of Israel.

¹⁹தன் விரலினால் அந்த இரத்தத்தில் எடுத்து, ஏழுதரம் அதின்மேல் தெளித்து, அதை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரரின் தீட்டுகள் நீங்கச் சுத்திகரித்து, பரிசுத்தப்படுத்தக்கடவன்.

²⁰“When he has made an end of atoning for the Holy Place, the Tent of Meeting, and the altar, he shall present the live goat.

²⁰அவன் இப்படிப் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்கும் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்கும் பலிபீடத்துக்கும் பிராயச்சித்தஞ்செய்து தீர்ந்தபின்பு, உயிரோடிருக்கிற வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவைச் சேரப்பண்ணி,

²¹Aaron shall lay both his hands on the head of the live goat, and confess over him all the iniquities of the children of Israel, and all their transgressions, even all their sins; and he shall put them on the head of the goat, and shall send him away into the wilderness by the hand of a man who is in readiness.

²¹அதின் தலையின்மேல் ஆரோன் தன் இரண்டு கைகளையும் வைத்து, அதின்மேல் இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருடைய சகல அக்கிரமங்களையும் அவர்களுடைய எல்லாப் பாவங்களினாலும் உண்டான அவர்களுடைய சகல மீறுதல்களையும் அறிக்கையிட்டு, அவைகளை வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவினுடைய தலையின்மேல் சுமத்தி, அதை அதற்கான ஆள்வசமாய் வனாந்தரத்துக்கு அனுப்பிவிடக்கடவன்.

²²The goat shall carry all their iniquities on himself to a solitary land, and he shall let the goat go in the wilderness.

²²அந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடா அவர்களுடைய அக்கிரமங்களையெல்லாம் தன்மேல் சுமந்துகொண்டு, குடியில்லாத தேசத்துக்குப் போவதாக; அவன் அந்த வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவை வனாந்தரத்திலே போக விடக்கடவன்.

²³“Aaron shall come into the Tent of Meeting, and shall take off the linen garments, which he put on when he went into the Holy Place, and shall leave them there.

²³ஆரோன் ஆசரிப்புக் கூடாரத்துக்குள் வந்து, தான் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசிக்கும்போது, உடுத்தியிருந்த சணல்நூல் வஸ்திரங்களைக் களைந்து, அங்கே வைத்துவிட்டு,

²⁴Then he shall bathe himself in water in a holy place, and put on his garments, and come out and offer his burnt offering and the burnt offering of the people, and make atonement for himself and for the people.

²⁴பரிசுத்த இடத்திலே ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, தன் வஸ்திரங்களை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு, வெளியே வந்து, தன் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் ஜனங்களின் சர்வாங்கதகனபலியையும் இட்டு, தனக்காகவும் ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்து,

²⁵The fat of the sin offering he shall burn on the altar.

²⁵பாவநிவாரணபலியின் கொழுப்பைப் பலிபீடத்தின்மேல் தகனிக்கக்கடவன்.

²⁶“He who lets the goat go for the scapegoat shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁶போகவிடப்படும் போக்காடாகிய வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவைக் கொண்டுபோய் விட்டவன், தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்தில் ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, பின்பு பாளயத்துக்குள் வருவானாக.

²⁷The bull for the sin offering, and the goat for the sin offering, whose blood was brought in to make atonement in the Holy Place, shall be carried forth outside the camp; and they shall burn their skins, their flesh, and their dung with fire.

²⁷பாவநிவிர்த்திக்கென்று பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் இரத்தம் கொண்டுவரப்பட்ட பாவநிவாரணபலியாகிய காளையையும், பாவநிவாரணபலியாகிய வெள்ளாட்டுக்கடாவையும், பாளயத்துக்குப் புறம்பே கொண்டுபோய், அவைகளின் தோலையும், மாம்சத்தையும், சாணியையும் அக்கினியிலே சுட்டெரிக்கக்கடவர்கள்.

²⁸He who burns them shall wash his clothes, and bathe his flesh in water, and afterward he shall come into the camp.

²⁸அவைகளைச் சுட்டெரித்தவன் தன் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தோய்த்து, ஜலத்திலே ஸ்நானம்பண்ணி, பின்பு பாளயத்துக்குள் வருவானாக.

²⁹“It shall be a statute to you forever: in the seventh month, on the tenth day of the month, you shall afflict your souls, and shall do no kind of work, the native-born, or the stranger who lives as a foreigner among you:

²⁹ஏழாம் மாதம் பத்தாம் தேதியிலே, சுதேசியானாலும், உங்களுக்குள் தங்கும் பரதேசியானாலும், தங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்துவதுமன்றி, ஒரு வேலையும் செய்யாமல் இருக்கவேண்டும்; இது உங்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாய் இருக்கக்கடவது.

³⁰for on this day shall atonement be made for you, to cleanse you; from all your sins you shall be clean before Yahweh.

³⁰கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் உங்கள் பாவமெல்லாம் நீங்கிச் சுத்திகரிக்கப்படும்படி, அந்நாளில் உங்களைச் சுத்திகரிக்கும் பொருட்டு, உங்களுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யப்படும்.

³¹It is a Sabbath of solemn rest to you, and you shall afflict your souls; it is a statute forever.

³¹உங்களுக்கு அது விசேஷித்த ஓய்வு நாள்; அதிலே உங்கள் ஆத்துமாக்களைத் தாழ்மைப்படுத்தக்கடவீர்கள்; இது நித்திய கட்டளை.

³²The priest, who is anointed and who is consecrated to be priest in his father’s place, shall make the atonement, and shall put on the linen garments, even the holy garments.

³²அபிஷேகம் பெற்றவனும், தன் தகப்பன் பட்டத்திற்கு வந்து ஆசாரிய ஊழியஞ்செய்யப் பிரதிஷ்டைபண்ணப்பட்டவனுமாகிய ஆசாரியனே பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன். அவன் பரிசுத்த வஸ்திரங்களாகிய சணல்நூல் வஸ்திரங்களை உடுத்திக்கொண்டு,

³³Then he shall make atonement for the Holy Sanctuary; and he shall make atonement for the Tent of Meeting and for the altar; and he shall make atonement for the priests and for all the people of the assembly.

³³பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்கும் ஆசரிப்புக்கூடாரத்துக்கும், பலிபீடத்துக்கும், பிராயச்சித்தஞ்செய்து, ஆசாரியருக்காகவும் சபையின் சகல ஜனங்களுக்காகவும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

³⁴“This shall be an everlasting statute for you, to make atonement for the children of Israel once in the year because of all their sins.” It was done as Yahweh commanded Moses.

³⁴இப்படி வருஷத்தில் ஒருமுறை இஸ்ரவேல் புத்திரருக்காக, அவர்களுடைய சகல பாவங்களுக்கும் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்வது, உங்களுக்கு நித்திய கட்டளையாயிருக்கக்கடவது என்று சொல் என்றார். கர்த்தர் மோசேக்குக் கட்டளையிட்டபடியே ஆரோன் செய்தான்.
