¹“‘If anyone sins, in that he hears the voice of adjuration, he being a witness, whether he has seen or known, if he doesn’t report it, then he shall bear his iniquity.

¹சாட்சியாகிய ஒருவன், இடப்பட்ட ஆணையைக் கேட்டிருந்தும், தான் கண்டதையும் அறிந்ததையும் தெரிவியாதிருந்து பாவஞ்செய்தால், அவன் தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான்.

²“‘Or if anyone touches any unclean thing, whether it is the carcass of an unclean animal, or the carcass of unclean livestock, or the carcass of unclean creeping things, and it is hidden from him, and he is unclean, then he shall be guilty.

²அசுத்தமான காட்டு மிருகத்தின் உடலையாவது, அசுத்தமான நாட்டு மிருகத்தின் உடலையாவது, அசுத்தமான ஊரும் பிராணிகளின் உடலையாவது, இவ்வித அசுத்தமான யாதொரு வஸ்துவையாவது, ஒருவன் அறியாமல் தொட்டால், அவன் தீட்டும் குற்றமும் உள்ளவனாவான்.

³“‘Or if he touches the uncleanness of man, whatever his uncleanness is with which he is unclean, and it is hidden from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty.

³அல்லது எந்த அசுத்தத்தினாலாகிலும் தீட்டுப்பட்ட ஒரு மனிதனை ஒருவன் அறியாமல் தொட்டு, பின்பு அதை அறிந்துகொண்டால், அவன் குற்றமுள்ளவனாவான்.

⁴“‘Or if anyone swears rashly with his lips to do evil, or to do good, whatever it is that a man might utter rashly with an oath, and it is hidden from him; when he knows of it, then he shall be guilty of one of these.

⁴மனிதர் பதறி ஆணையிடும் எந்தக்காரியத்திலானாலும், ஒருவன் தீமை செய்கிறதற்காவது நன்மை செய்கிறதற்காவது, தன் மனம் அறியாமல், தன் உதடுகளினால் பதறி ஆணையிட்டு, பின்பு அவன் அதை அறிந்துகொண்டால், அதைக்குறித்துக் குற்றமுள்ளவனாவான்.

⁵It shall be, when he is guilty of one of these, he shall confess that in which he has sinned:

⁵இப்படிப்பட்டவைகள் ஒன்றில், ஒருவன் குற்றமுள்ளவனாகும்போது, அவன் தான் செய்தது பாவம் என்று அறிக்கையிட்டு,

⁶and he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh for his sin which he has sinned, a female from the flock, a lamb or a goat, for a sin offering; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin.

⁶தான் செய்த பாவத்துக்குப் பாவநிவாரணபலியாக, ஆடுகளிலாவது வெள்ளாடுகளிலாவது, ஒரு பெண்குட்டியைக் குற்றநிவாரண பலியாகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்; அதினாலே ஆசாரியன் அவன் செய்த பாவத்தைக்குறித்து அவனுக்காகப் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்.

⁷“‘If he can’t afford a lamb, then he shall bring his trespass offering for that in which he has sinned, two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, to Yahweh; one for a sin offering, and the other for a burnt offering.

⁷ஆட்டுக்குட்டியைக் கொண்டுவர அவனுக்குச் சக்தியில்லாதிருந்தால், அவன் செய்த குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் இரண்டு காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது, இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது, ஒன்றைப் பாவநிவாரண பலியாகவும் மற்றொன்றைச் சர்வாங்க தகனபலியாகவும், கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவரக்கடவன்.

⁸He shall bring them to the priest, who shall first offer the one which is for the sin offering, and wring off its head from its neck, but shall not sever it completely.

⁸அவைகளை ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவருவானாக; அவன் பாவநிவாரண பலிக்கானதை முன்னே செலுத்தி, அதின் தலையை அதின் கழுத்தினிடத்தில் கிள்ளி, அதை இரண்டாக்காமல் வைத்து,

⁹He shall sprinkle some of the blood of the sin offering on the side of the altar; and the rest of the blood shall be drained out at the base of the altar. It is a sin offering.

⁹அதின் இரத்தத்தில் கொஞ்சம் எடுத்து, பலிபீடத்தின் பக்கத்தில் தெளித்து, மீதியான இரத்தத்தைப் பலிபீடத்தின் அடியிலே வடியவிடுவானாக; இது பாவநிவாரணபலி.

¹⁰He shall offer the second for a burnt offering, according to the ordinance; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin which he has sinned, and he shall be forgiven.

¹⁰மற்றதை நியமத்தின்படியே அவன் தகனபலியாய்ச் செலுத்தக்கடவன்; இவ்விதமாக அவன் செய்த பாவத்தை ஆசாரியன் நிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்.

¹¹“‘But if he can’t afford two turtledoves, or two young pigeons, then he shall bring his offering for that in which he has sinned, the tenth part of an ephah 1 ephah is about 22 litres or about 2/3 of a bushel of fine flour for a sin offering. He shall put no oil on it, neither shall he put any frankincense on it, for it is a sin offering.

¹¹இரண்டு காட்டுப்புறாக்களையாவது இரண்டு புறாக்குஞ்சுகளையாவது கொண்டுவர அவனுக்குச் சக்தியில்லாதிருந்தால், பாவம் செய்தவன் பாவநிவாரணத்துக்காக ஒரு எப்பா அளவான மெல்லிய மாவிலே பத்தில் ஒரு பங்கைத் தன் காணிக்கையாகக் கொண்டுவருவானாக; அது பாவநிவாரண பலியாயிருப்பதினால், அதின்மேல் எண்ணெய் வார்க்காமலும் தூபவர்க்கம் போடாமலும் இருந்து,

¹²He shall bring it to the priest, and the priest shall take his handful of it as the memorial portion, and burn it on the altar, on the offerings of Yahweh made by fire. It is a sin offering.

¹²அதை ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவரவேண்டும்; அதிலே ஆசாரியன் ஞாபகக்குறியான பங்காகத் தன் கைப்பிடி நிறைய எடுத்து, கர்த்தருக்கு இடும் தகனபலிகளைப்போல, பலிபீடத்தின் மேல் தகனிக்கக்கடவன்; இது பாவநிவாரணபலி.

¹³The priest shall make atonement for him concerning his sin that he has sinned in any of these things, and he will be forgiven; and the rest shall be the priest’s, as the meal offering.’”

¹³இவ்விதமாக மேற்சொல்லிய காரியங்கள் ஒன்றில் அவன் செய்த பாவத்துக்காக ஆசாரியன் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும், மீதியானது போஜனபலியைப்போல ஆசாரியனைச் சேரும் என்றார்.

¹⁴Yahweh spoke to Moses, saying,

¹⁴பின்னும் கர்த்தர் மோசேயை நோக்கி:

¹⁵“If anyone commits a trespass, and sins unwittingly, in the holy things of Yahweh; then he shall bring his trespass offering to Yahweh, a ram without blemish from the flock, according to your estimation in silver by shekels, after the shekel of the sanctuary, for a trespass offering.

¹⁵ஒருவன் கர்த்தருக்குரிய பரிசுத்தமானவைகளில் குற்றஞ்செய்து, அறியாமையினால் பாவத்துக்குட்பட்டால், அவன் தன் குற்றத்தினிமித்தம் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துச் சேக்கல் கணக்கின்படியே, நீ அவன்மேல் சுமத்தும் அபராதம் எவ்வளவோ, அவ்வளவு வெள்ளிச் சேக்கல் பெறும் பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவை குற்றநிவாரணபலியாகக் கர்த்தருடைய சந்நிதியில் கொண்டுவந்து,

¹⁶He shall make restitution for that which he has done wrong in the holy thing, and shall add a fifth part to it, and give it to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him with the ram of the trespass offering, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁶பரிசுத்தமானதைக்குறித்துத் தான் செய்த தப்பிதத்தினால் உண்டான நஷ்டத்தைச் செலுத்தி, அதினோடு ஐந்தில் ஒரு பங்கை அதிகமாகக் கூட்டி, ஆசாரியனுக்குக் கொடுப்பானாக; குற்றநிவாரணபலியாகிய ஆட்டுக்கடாவினாலே அவனுக்காக ஆசாரியன் பாவநிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்.

¹⁷“If anyone sins, and does any of the things which Yahweh has commanded not to be done; though he didn’t know it, yet he is guilty, and shall bear his iniquity.

¹⁷ஒருவன் செய்யத்தகாதென்று கர்த்தருடைய கட்டளைகளினால் விலக்கப்பட்ட யாதொன்றைச் செய்து பாவத்துக்குட்பட்டால், அதை அவன் அறியாமையினால் செய்தாலும், அவன் குற்றமுள்ளவனாயிருந்து, தன் அக்கிரமத்தைச் சுமப்பான்.

¹⁸He shall bring a ram without blemish from of the flock, according to your estimation, for a trespass offering, to the priest; and the priest shall make atonement for him concerning the thing in which he sinned and didn’t know it, and he will be forgiven.

¹⁸அதினிமித்தம் அவன் குற்றநிவாரணபலியாக, உன் மதிப்புக்குச் சரியான பழுதற்ற ஒரு ஆட்டுக்கடாவை ஆசாரியனிடத்தில் கொண்டுவருவானாக; அவன் அறியாமல் செய்த தப்பிதத்தை ஆசாரியன் அவனுக்காக நிவிர்த்தி செய்யக்கடவன்; அப்பொழுது அது அவனுக்கு மன்னிக்கப்படும்.

¹⁹It is a trespass offering. He is certainly guilty before Yahweh.”

¹⁹இது குற்றநிவாரணபலி; அவன் கர்த்தருக்கு விரோதமாய்க் குற்றஞ்செய்தான் என்பது நிச்சயம் என்றார்.
