¹Hear my prayer, Yahweh! Let my cry come to you.

¹கர்த்தாவே, என் விண்ணப்பத்தைக் கேளும்; என் கூப்பிடுதல் உம்மிடத்தில் சேர்வதாக.

²Don’t hide your face from me in the day of my distress. Turn your ear to me. Answer me quickly in the day when I call.

²என் ஆபத்துநாளிலே உமது முகத்தை எனக்கு மறையாதேயும்; உமது செவியை என்னிடத்தில் சாயும்; நான் கூப்பிடுகிற நாளிலே எனக்குத் தீவிரமாய் உத்தரவு அருளிச்செய்யும்.

³For my days consume away like smoke. My bones are burned as a torch.

³என் நாட்கள் புகையைப்போல் ஒழிந்தது; என் எலும்புகள் ஒரு கொள்ளியைப்போல் எரியுண்டது.

⁴My heart is blighted like grass, and withered, for I forget to eat my bread.

⁴என் இருதயம் புல்லைப்போல் வெட்டுண்டு உலர்ந்தது; என் போஜனத்தைப் புசிக்க மறந்தேன்.

⁵By reason of the voice of my groaning, my bones stick to my skin.

⁵என் பெருமூச்சின் சத்தத்தினால், என் எலும்புகள் என் மாம்சத்தோடு ஒட்டிக்கொள்ளுகிறது.

⁶I am like a pelican of the wilderness. I have become as an owl of the waste places.

⁶வனாந்தர நாரைக்கு ஒப்பானேன்; பாழான இடங்களில் தங்கும் ஆந்தையைப் போலானேன்.

⁷நான் நித்திரையில்லாமல் வீட்டின்மேல் தனித்திருக்கும் குருவியைப்போல் இருக்கிறேன்.

⁸My enemies reproach me all day. Those who are mad at me use my name as a curse.

⁸நாடோறும் என் சத்துருக்கள் என்னை நிந்திக்கிறார்கள்; என்மேல் மூர்க்கவெறிகொண்டவர்கள் எனக்கு விரோதமாய்ச் சாபம் இடுகிறார்கள்.

⁹For I have eaten ashes like bread, and mixed my drink with tears,

⁹நீர் என்னை உயரத்தூக்கி, தாழத்தள்ளினீர், உமது சினத்திற்கும் கடுங்கோபத்திற்கும் உள்ளானேன்.

¹⁰Because of your indignation and your wrath, for you have taken me up, and thrown me away.

¹⁰ஆதலால், நான் சாம்பலை அப்பமாகப் புசித்து, என் பானங்களைக் கண்ணீரோடே கலக்கிறேன்.

¹¹My days are like a long shadow. I have withered like grass.

¹¹என் நாட்கள் சாய்ந்துபோகிற நிழலைப்போலிருக்கிறது; புல்லைப்போல் உலர்ந்துபோகிறேன்.

¹²But you, Yahweh, will remain forever; your renown endures to all generations.

¹²கர்த்தராகிய நீரோ என்றென்றைக்கும் இருக்கிறீர்; உம்முடைய பேர் பிரஸ்தாபம் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக நிற்கும்.

¹³You will arise and have mercy on Zion; for it is time to have pity on her. Yes, the set time has come.

¹³தேவரீர் எழுந்தருளி சீயோனுக்கு இரங்குவீர்; அதற்குத் தயை செய்யுங்காலமும், அதற்காகக் குறித்த நேரமும் வந்தது.

¹⁴For your servants take pleasure in her stones, and have pity on her dust.

¹⁴உம்முடைய ஊழியக்காரர் அதின் கல்லுகள்மேல் வாஞ்சைவைத்து, அதின் மண்ணுக்குப் பரிதபிக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁵So the nations will fear the name of Yahweh; all the kings of the earth your glory.

¹⁵கர்த்தர் சீயோனைக் கட்டி, தமது மகிமையில் வெளிப்படுவார்.

¹⁶For Yahweh has built up Zion. He has appeared in his glory.

¹⁶திக்கற்றவர்களுடைய ஜெபத்தை அலட்சியம்பண்ணாமல், அவர்கள் விண்ணப்பத்தை அங்கீகரிப்பார்.

¹⁷He has responded to the prayer of the destitute, and has not despised their prayer.

¹⁷அப்பொழுது ஜாதிகள் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்துக்கும், பூமியிலுள்ள ராஜாக்களெல்லாரும் உம்முடைய மகிமைக்கும் பயப்படுவார்கள்.

¹⁸This will be written for the generation to come. A people which will be created will praise Yah.

¹⁸பின்சந்ததிக்காக இது எழுதப்படும்; சிருஷ்டிக்கப்படும் ஜனம் கர்த்தரைத் துதிக்கும்.

¹⁹For he has looked down from the height of his sanctuary. From heaven, Yahweh saw the earth;

¹⁹கர்த்தர் கட்டுண்டவர்களின் பெருமூச்சைக் கேட்கவும், கொலைக்கு நியமிக்கப்பட்டவர்களை விடுதலையாக்கவும்,

²⁰to hear the groans of the prisoner; to free those who are condemned to death;

²⁰தம்முடைய உயர்ந்த பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து பார்த்து, வானங்களிலிருந்து பூமியின்மேல் கண்ணோக்கமானார்.

²¹that men may declare the name of Yahweh in Zion, and his praise in Jerusalem;

²¹கர்த்தருக்கு ஆராதனைசெய்ய, ஜனங்களும் ராஜ்யங்களும் ஏகமாய்க் கூடிக்கொள்ளுகையில்,

²²when the peoples are gathered together, the kingdoms, to serve Yahweh.

²²சீயோனில் கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தையும், எருசலேமில் அவருடைய துதியையும் பிரஸ்தாபப்படுத்துவார்கள்.

²³He weakened my strength along the course. He shortened my days.

²³வழியிலே என் பெலனை அவர் ஒடுக்கி, என் நாட்களைக் குறுகப்பண்ணினார்.

²⁴I said, “My God, don’t take me away in the midst of my days. Your years are throughout all generations.

²⁴அப்பொழுது நான்: என் தேவனே, பாதி வயதில் என்னை எடுத்துக்கொள்ளாதேயும்; உம்முடைய வருஷங்கள் தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக இருக்கும்.

²⁵Of old, you laid the foundation of the earth. The heavens are the work of your hands.

²⁵நீர் ஆதியிலே பூமியை அஸ்திபாரப்படுத்தினீர்; வானங்கள் உம்முடைய கரத்தின் கிரியையாயிருக்கிறது.

²⁶They will perish, but you will endure. Yes, all of them will wear out like a garment. You will change them like a cloak, and they will be changed.

²⁶அவைகள் அழிந்துபோகும், நீரோ நிலைத்திருப்பீர்; அவைகளெல்லாம் வஸ்திரம்போல் பழமையாய்ப்போகும்; அவைகளை ஒரு சால்வையைப்போல் மாற்றுவீர், அப்பொழுது மாறிப்போகும்.

²⁷But you are the same. Your years will have no end.

²⁷நீரோ மாறாதவராயிருக்கிறீர்; உமது ஆண்டுகள் முடிந்துபோவதில்லை.

²⁸The children of your servants will continue. Their seed will be established before you.”

²⁸உமது அடியாரின் பிள்ளைகள் தாபரித்திருப்பார்கள்; அவர்கள் சந்ததி உமக்கு முன்பாக நிலைபெற்றிருக்கும் என்று சொன்னேன்.
