¹To you I do lift up my eyes, you who sit in the heavens.

²Behold, as the eyes of servants look to the hand of their master, as the eyes of a maid to the hand of her mistress; so our eyes look to Yahweh, our God, until he has mercy on us.

²இதோ, வேலைக்காரரின் கண்கள் தங்கள் எஜமான்களின் கையை நோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், வேலைக்காரியின் கண்கள் தன் எஜமாட்டியின் கையை நோக்கியிருக்குமாப்போலவும், எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தர் எங்களுக்கு இரக்கஞ்செய்யும்வரைக்கும், எங்கள் கண்கள் அவரை நோக்கியிருக்கிறது.

³Have mercy on us, Yahweh, have mercy on us, for we have endured much contempt.

³எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும் கர்த்தாவே, எங்களுக்கு இரங்கும்; நிந்தனையினால் மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறோம்.

⁴Our soul is exceedingly filled with the scoffing of those who are at ease, with the contempt of the proud.

⁴சுகஜீவிகளுடைய நிந்தனையினாலும், அகங்காரிகளுடைய இகழ்ச்சியினாலும், எங்கள் ஆத்துமா மிகவும் நிறைந்திருக்கிறது.
