¹Praise Yah, for it is good to sing praises to our God; for it is pleasant and fitting to praise him.

¹கர்த்தரைத் துதியுங்கள்; நம்முடைய தேவனைக் கீர்த்தனம்பண்ணுகிறது நல்லது, துதித்தலே இன்பமும் ஏற்றதுமாயிருக்கிறது.

²Yahweh builds up Jerusalem. He gathers together the outcasts of Israel.

²கர்த்தர் எருசலேமைக் கட்டுகிறார்; துரத்துண்ட இஸ்ரவேலரைக் கூட்டிச் சேர்க்கிறார்.

³He heals the broken in heart, and binds up their wounds.

³இருதயம் நொறுங்குண்டவர்களைக் குணமாக்குகிறார், அவர்களுடைய காயங்களைக் கட்டுகிறார்.

⁴He counts the number of the stars. He calls them all by their names.

⁴அவர் நட்சத்திரங்களின் இலக்கத்தை எண்ணி, அவைகளுக்கெல்லாம் பேரிட்டு அழைக்கிறார்.

⁵Great is our Lord, and mighty in power. His understanding is infinite.

⁵நம்முடைய ஆண்டவர் பெரியவரும் மகா பெலமுள்ளவருமாயிருக்கிறார்; அவருடைய அறிவு அளவில்லாதது.

⁶Yahweh upholds the humble. He brings the wicked down to the ground.

⁶கர்த்தர் சாந்தகுணமுள்ளவர்களை உயர்த்துகிறார்; துன்மார்க்கரைத் தரைமட்டும் தாழ்த்துகிறார்.

⁷Sing to Yahweh with thanksgiving. Sing praises on the harp to our God,

⁷கர்த்தரைத் துதியுடன் பாடிக்கொண்டாடுங்கள்; நம்முடைய தேவனைச் சுரமண்டலத்தால் கீர்த்தனம் பண்ணுங்கள்.

⁸who covers the sky with clouds, who prepares rain for the earth, who makes grass grow on the mountains.

⁸அவர் வானத்தை மேகங்களால் மூடி, பூமிக்கு மழையை ஆயத்தப்படுத்தி, மலைகளில் புல்லை முளைப்பிக்கிறார்.

⁹He provides food for the livestock, and for the young ravens when they call.

⁹அவர் மிருகஜீவன்களுக்கும் கூப்பிடுகிற காக்கைக் குஞ்சுகளுக்கும் ஆகாரங்கொடுக்கிறார்.

¹⁰He doesn’t delight in the strength of the horse. He takes no pleasure in the legs of a man.

¹⁰அவர் குதிரையின் பலத்தில் விருப்பமாயிரார்; வீரனுடைய கால்களில் பிரியப்படார்.

¹¹Yahweh takes pleasure in those who fear him, in those who hope in his loving kindness.

¹¹தமக்குப் பயந்து, தமது கிருபைக்குக் காத்திருக்கிறவர்கள்மேல் கர்த்தர் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறார்.

¹²Praise Yahweh, Jerusalem! Praise your God, Zion!

¹²எருசலேமே, கர்த்தரை ஸ்தோத்திரி; சீயோனே, உன் தேவனைத் துதி.

¹³For he has strengthened the bars of your gates. He has blessed your children within you.

¹³அவர் உன் வாசல்களின் தாழ்ப்பாள்களைப் பலப்படுத்தி, உன்னிடத்திலுள்ள உன் பிள்ளைகளை ஆசீர்வதிக்கிறார்.

¹⁴He makes peace in your borders. He fills you with the finest of the wheat.

¹⁴அவர் உன் எல்லைகளைச் சமாதானமுள்ளவைகளாக்கி, உசிதமான கோதுமையினால் உன்னைத் திருப்தியாக்குகிறார்.

¹⁵He sends out his commandment to the earth. His word runs very swiftly.

¹⁵அவர் தமது வார்த்தையைப் பூமியிலே அனுப்புகிறார்; அவருடைய சொல் மகா தீவிரமாய்ச் செல்லுகிறது.

¹⁶He gives snow like wool, and scatters frost like ashes.

¹⁶பஞ்சைப்போல் உறைந்த மழையைத் தருகிறார்; சாம்பலைப்போல உறைந்த பனியைத் தூவுகிறார்.

¹⁷He hurls down his hail like pebbles. Who can stand before his cold?

¹⁷அவர் தமது கல்மழையைத் துணிக்கைகளாக அனுப்புகிறார்; அவருடைய குளிருக்கு முன்பாக நிற்பவன் யார்?

¹⁸He sends out his word, and melts them. He causes his wind to blow, and the waters flow.

¹⁸அவர் தமது வார்த்தையை அனுப்பி, அவைகளை உருகப்பண்ணுகிறார்; தமது காற்றை வீசும்படி செய்ய, தண்ணீர்கள் ஓடும்.

¹⁹He shows his word to Jacob; his statutes and his ordinances to Israel.

¹⁹யாக்கோபுக்குத் தம்முடைய வசனங்களையும், இஸ்ரவேலுக்குத் தமது பிரமாணங்களையும் தமது நியாயங்களையும் அறிவிக்கிறார்.

²⁰He has not done this for just any nation. They don’t know his ordinances. Praise Yah!
