¹May Yahweh answer you in the day of trouble. May the name of the God of Jacob set you up on high,

¹ஆபத்துநாளிலே கர்த்தர் உமது விண்ணப்பத்துக்குப் பதிலருளுவாராக; யாக்கோபின் தேவனுடைய நாமம் உமக்கு உயர்ந்த அடைக்கலமாவதாக.

²send you help from the sanctuary, grant you support from Zion,

²அவர் பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்திலிருந்து உமக்கு ஒத்தாசையனுப்பி, சீயோனிலிருந்து உம்மை ஆதரிப்பாராக.

³remember all your offerings, and accept your burnt sacrifice. Selah.

³நீர் செலுத்தும் காணிக்கைகளையெல்லாம் அவர் நினைத்து, உமது சர்வாங்க தகனபலியைப் பிரியமாய் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வாராக. (சேலா)

⁴May He grant you your heart’s desire, and fulfill all your counsel.

⁴அவர் உமது மனவிருப்பத்தின்படி உமக்குத் தந்தருளி, உமது ஆலோசனைகளையெல்லாம் நிறைவேற்றுவாராக.

⁵We will triumph in your salvation. In the name of our God, we will set up our banners. May Yahweh grant all your requests.

⁵நாங்கள் உமது இரட்சிப்பினால் மகிழ்ந்து, எங்கள் தேவனுடைய நாமத்திலே கொடியேற்றுவோம்; உமது வேண்டுதல்களையெல்லாம் கர்த்தர் நிறைவேற்றுவாராக.

⁶Now I know that Yahweh saves his anointed. He will answer him from his holy heaven, with the saving strength of his right hand.

⁶கர்த்தர் தாம் அபிஷேகம்பண்ணினவரை இரட்சிக்கிறார் என்பதை இப்பொழுது அறிந்திருக்கிறேன்; தமது வலதுகரம் செய்யும் இரட்சிப்பின் வல்லமைகளைக் காண்பித்து, தமது பரிசுத்த வானத்திலிருந்து அவருடைய விண்ணபத்துக்கு பதில்ருளுவார்.

⁷Some trust in chariots, and some in horses, but we trust the name of Yahweh our God.

⁷சிலர் இரதங்களைக்குறித்தும், சிலர் குதிரைகளைக்குறித்தும் மேன்மை பாராட்டுகிறார்கள்; நாங்களோ எங்கள் தேவனாகிய கர்த்தருடைய நாமத்தைக்குறித்தே மேன்மைபாராட்டுவோம்.

⁸They are bowed down and fallen, but we rise up, and stand upright.

⁸அவர்கள் முறிந்து விழுந்தார்கள்; நாங்களோ எழுந்து நிமிர்ந்து நிற்கிறோம்.

⁹Save, Yahweh! Let the King answer us when we call!

⁹கர்த்தாவே, இரட்சியும்; நாங்கள் கூப்பிடுகிற நாளிலே ராஜா எங்களுக்குச் செவிகொடுப்பாராக.
