¹My God, my God, why have you forsaken me? Why are you so far from helping me, and from the words of my groaning?

¹என் தேவனே, என் தேவனே, ஏன் என்னைக் கைவிட்டீர்? எனக்கு இரட்ச்சியாமலும் செய்யாமலும், நான் கதறிச் சொல்லும் வார்த்தைகளைக் கேளாமலும் ஏன் தூரமாயிருக்கிறீர்?

²My God, I cry in the daytime, but you don’t answer; in the night season, and am not silent.

²என் தேவனே, நான் பகலிலே கூப்பிடுகிறேன், உத்தரவு பதிலில்லை; இரவிலே கூப்பிடுகிறேன், எனக்கு அமைதலில்லை.

³But you are holy, you who inhabit the praises of Israel.

³இஸ்ரவேலின் துதிகளுக்குள் வாசமாயிருக்கிற தேவரீரே பரிசுத்தர்.

⁴Our fathers trusted in you. They trusted, and you delivered them.

⁴எங்கள் பிதாக்கள் உம்மிடத்தில் நம்பிக்கை வைத்தார்கள்; நம்பின அவர்களை நீர் விடுவித்தீர்.

⁵They cried to you, and were delivered. They trusted in you, and were not disappointed.

⁵உம்மை நோக்கிக் கூப்பிட்டுத் தப்பினார்கள்; உம்மை நம்பி வெட்கப்பட்டுப்போகாதிருந்தார்கள்.

⁶But I am a worm, and no man; a reproach of men, and despised by the people.

⁶நானோ ஒரு புழு, மனுஷனல்ல; மனுஷரால் நிந்திக்கப்பட்டும், ஜனங்களால் அவமதிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறேன்.

⁷All those who see me mock me. They insult me with their lips. They shake their heads, saying,

⁷என்னைப் பார்க்கிறவர்களெல்லாரும் என்னைப் பரியாசம்பண்ணி, உதட்டைப் பிதுக்கி, தலையைத் துலுக்கி:

⁸“He trusts in Yahweh; let him deliver him. Let him rescue him, since he delights in him.”

⁸கர்த்தர்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாயிருந்தானே, அவர் இவனை விடுவிக்கட்டும்; இவன்மேல் பிரியமாயிருக்கிறாரே, இப்பொழுது இவனை இரட்சிக்கட்டும் என்கிறார்கள்.

⁹But you brought me out of the womb. You made me trust at my mother’s breasts.

⁹நீரே என்னைக் கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து எடுத்தவர்; என் தாயின் மார்பில் இருக்கும் போதே என்னை உம்மேல் நம்பிக்கையாய் இருக்கப்பண்ணினீர்.

¹⁰I was thrown on you from my mother’s womb. You are my God since my mother bore me.

¹⁰கர்ப்பத்திலிருந்து வெளிப்பட்டபோதே உமது சார்பில் விழுந்தேன்; நான் என் தாயின் வயிற்றில் இருந்தது முதல் நீர் என் தேவனாயிருக்கிறீர்.

¹¹Don’t be far from me, for trouble is near. For there is none to help.

¹¹என்னைவிட்டுத் தூரமாகாதேயும்; ஆபத்து நெருங்கியிருக்கிறது, சகாயரும் இல்லை.

¹²Many bulls have surrounded me. Strong bulls of Bashan have encircled me.

¹²அநேகம் காளைகள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கின்றன; பாசான் தேசத்துப் பலத்த எருதுகள் என்னை வளைந்து கொண்டன.

¹³They open their mouths wide against me, lions tearing prey and roaring.

¹³பீறி கெர்ச்சிக்கிற சிங்கத்தைப்போல், என்மேல் தங்கள் வாயைத் திறக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁴I am poured out like water. All my bones are out of joint. My heart is like wax; it is melted within me.

¹⁴தண்ணீரைப்போல ஊற்றுண்டேன்; என் எலும்புகளெல்லாம் கட்டுவிட்டன, என் இருதயம் மெழுகுபோலாகி, என் குடல்களின் நடுவே உருகிற்று.

¹⁵My strength is dried up like a potsherd. My tongue sticks to the roof of my mouth. You have brought me into the dust of death.

¹⁵என் பெலன் ஓட்டைப்போல் காய்ந்தது; என் நாவு மேல்வாயோடே ஒட்டிக்கொண்டது; என்னை மரணத்தூளிலே போடுகிறீர்.

¹⁶For dogs have surrounded me. A company of evildoers have enclosed me. They have pierced my hands and feet. So Dead Sea Scrolls. Masoretic Text reads, “Like a lion, they pin my hands and feet.”

¹⁶நாய்கள் என்னைச் சூழ்ந்திருக்கினறன; பொல்லாதவர்களின் கூட்டம் என்னை வளைந்துகொண்டது; என் கைகளையும் என் கால்களையும் உருவக் குத்தினார்கள்.

¹⁷I can count all of my bones. They look and stare at me.

¹⁷என் எலும்புகளையெல்லாம் நான் எண்ணலாம்; அவர்கள் என்னை நோக்கிப் பார்த்துக்கொண்டிருக்கிறார்கள்.

¹⁸They divide my garments among them. They cast lots for my clothing.

¹⁸என் வஸ்திரங்களைத் தங்களுக்குள்ளே பங்கிட்டு, என் உடையின்மேல் சீட்டுப்போடுகிறார்கள்.

¹⁹But don’t be far off, Yahweh. You are my help: hurry to help me.

¹⁹ஆனாலும் கர்த்தாவே, நீர் எனக்குத் தூரமாகாதேயும்; என் பெலனே, எனக்குச் சகாயம்பண்ணத் தீவிரித்துக்கொள்ளும்.

²⁰Deliver my soul from the sword, my precious life from the power of the dog.

²⁰என் ஆத்துமாவைப் பட்டயத்திற்கும், எனக்கு அருமையானதை நாய்களின் கொடூரத்திற்க்கும் தப்புவியும்.

²¹Save me from the lion’s mouth! Yes, from the horns of the wild oxen, you have answered me.

²¹என்னைச் சிங்கத்தின் வாயிலிருந்து இரட்சியும்; நான் காண்டாமிருகத்தின் கொம்புகளில் இருக்கும்போது எனக்குச் பதிலருளினீர்.

²²I will declare your name to my brothers. In the midst of the assembly, I will praise you.

²²உம்முடைய நாமத்தை என் சகோதரருக்கு அறிவித்து, சபைநடுவில் உம்மைத் துதிப்பேன்.

²³You who fear Yahweh, praise him! All you descendants of Jacob, glorify him! Stand in awe of him, all you descendants of Israel!

²³கர்த்தருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களே, அவரைத் துதியுங்கள்; யாக்கோபின் சந்ததியாரே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் அவரைக் கனம்பண்ணுங்கள்; இஸ்ரவேலின் வம்சத்தாரே, நீங்கள் எல்லாரும் அவர்பேரில் பயபக்தியாயிருங்கள்.

²⁴For he has not despised nor abhorred the affliction of the afflicted, Neither has he hidden his face from him; but when he cried to him, he heard.

²⁴உபத்திரவப்பட்டவனுடைய உபத்திரவத்தை அவர் அற்பமாயெண்ணாமலும் அருவருக்காமலும், தம்முடைய முகத்தை அவனுக்கு மறைக்காமலுமிருந்து, தம்மை நோக்கி அவன் கூப்பிடுகையில் அவனைக் கேட்டருளினார்.

²⁵Of you comes my praise in the great assembly. I will pay my vows before those who fear him.

²⁵மகா சபையிலே நான் செலுத்தும் துதி உம்மாலே உண்டாகும்; அவருக்குப் பயப்படுகிறவர்களுக்கு முன்பாக என் பொருத்தனைகளைச் செலுத்துவேன்.

²⁶The humble shall eat and be satisfied. They shall praise Yahweh who seek after him. Let your hearts live forever.

²⁶சிறுமைபட்டவர்கள் புசித்துத் திருப்தியடைவார்கள்; கர்த்தரைத் தேடுகிறவர்கள் அவரைத் துதிப்பார்கள்; உங்கள் இருதயம் என்றென்றைக்கும் வாழும்.

²⁷All the ends of the earth shall remember and turn to Yahweh. All the relatives of the nations shall worship before you.

²⁷பூமியின் எல்லைகளெல்லாம் நினைவுகூர்ந்து கர்த்தரிடத்தில் திரும்பும்; ஜாதிகளுடைய வம்சங்களெல்லாம் உமது சமுகத்தில் தொழுதுகொள்ளும்.

²⁸For the kingdom is Yahweh’s. He is the ruler over the nations.

²⁸ராஜ்யம் கர்த்தருடையது; அவர் ஜாதிகளை ஆளுகிறவர்.

²⁹All the rich ones of the earth shall eat and worship. All those who go down to the dust shall bow before him, even he who can’t keep his soul alive.

²⁹பூமியின் செல்வந்தர் யாவரும் புசித்துப் பணிந்துகொள்வார்கள்; புழுதியில் இறங்குகிறவர்கள் யாவரும் அவருக்கு முன்பாக வணங்குவார்கள். ஒருவனும் தன் ஆத்துமா அழியாதபடி அதைக் காக்கக்கூடாதே.

³⁰Posterity shall serve him. Future generations shall be told about the Lord.

³⁰ஒரு சந்ததி அவரைச் சேவிக்கும்; தலைமுறை தலைமுறையாக அது ஆண்டவருடைய சந்ததி என்னப்படும்.

³¹They shall come and shall declare his righteousness to a people that shall be born, for he has done it.

³¹அவர்கள் வந்து: அவரே இவைகளைச் செய்தார் என்று பிறக்கப்போகிற ஜனங்களுக்கு அவருடைய நீதியை அறிவிப்பார்கள்.
