¹Surely God The Hebrew word rendered “God” is “Elohim.” is good to Israel, to those who are pure in heart.

¹சுத்த இருதயமுள்ளவர்களாகிய இஸ்ரவேலருக்கு தேவன் நல்லவராகவே இருக்கிறார்.

²But as for me, my feet were almost gone. My steps had nearly slipped.

²ஆனாலும் என் கால்கள் தள்ளாடுதலுக்கும், என் அடிகள் சறுக்குதலுக்கும் சற்றே தப்பிற்று.

³For I was envious of the arrogant, when I saw the prosperity of the wicked.

³துன்மார்க்கரின் வாழ்வை நான் காண்கையில், வீம்புக்காரராகிய அவர்கள்மேல் பொறாமை கொண்டேன்.

⁴For there are no struggles in their death, but their strength is firm.

⁴மரணபரியந்தம் அவர்களுக்கு இடுக்கண்களில்லை; அவர்களுடைய பெலன் உறுதியாயிருக்கிறது.

⁵They are free from burdens of men, neither are they plagued like other men.

⁵நரர் படும் வருத்தத்தில் அகப்படார்கள்; மனுஷர் அடையும் உபாதியை அடையார்கள்.

⁶Therefore pride is like a chain around their neck. Violence covers them like a garment.

⁶ஆகையால் பெருமை சரப்பணியைப்போல் அவர்களைச் சுற்றிக்கொள்ளும், கொடுமை ஆடையைப்போல் அவர்களை மூடிக்கொள்ளும்.

⁷Their eyes bulge with fat. Their minds pass the limits of conceit.

⁷அவர்கள் கண்கள் கொழுப்பினால் எடுப்பாய்ப் பார்க்கிறது; அவர்கள் இருதயம் விரும்புவதிலும் அதிகமாய் நடந்தேறுகிறது.

⁸They scoff and speak with malice. In arrogance, they threaten oppression.

⁸அவர்கள் சீர்கெட்டுப்போய், அகந்தையாய்க் கொடுமை பேசுகிறார்கள்; இறுமாப்பாய்ப் பேசுகிறார்கள்.

⁹They have set their mouth in the heavens. Their tongue walks through the earth.

⁹தங்கள் வாய் வானமட்டும் எட்டப்பேசுகிறார்கள்; அவர்கள் நாவு பூமியெங்கும் உலாவுகிறது.

¹⁰Therefore their people return to them, and they drink up waters of abundance.

¹⁰ஆகையால் அவருடைய ஜனங்கள் இந்த வழியாகவே திரும்புகிறார்கள்; தண்ணீர்கள் அவர்களுக்குப் பரிபூரணமாய்ச் சுரந்துவரும்.

¹¹They say, “How does God know? Is there knowledge in the Most High?”

¹¹தேவனுக்கு அது எப்படித் தெரியும்? உன்னதமானவருக்கு அதைப்பற்றி அறிவு உண்டோ? என்று சொல்லுகிறார்கள்.

¹²Behold, these are the wicked. Being always at ease, they increase in riches.

¹²இதோ, இவர்கள் துன்மார்க்கர்; இவர்கள் என்றும் சுகஜீவிகளாயிருந்து, ஆஸ்தியைப் பெருகப்பண்ணுகிறார்கள்.

¹³Surely in vain I have cleansed my heart, and washed my hands in innocence,

¹³நான் விருதாவாகவே என் இருதயத்தைச் சுத்தம்பண்ணி, குற்றமில்லாமையிலே என் கைகளைக் கழுவினேன்.

¹⁴For all day long have I been plagued, and punished every morning.

¹⁴நாள்தோறும் நான் வாதிக்கப்பட்டும், காலைதோறும் தண்டிக்கப்பட்டும் இருக்கிறேன்.

¹⁵If I had said, “I will speak thus”; behold, I would have betrayed the generation of your children.

¹⁵இவ்விதமாய்ப் பேசுவேன் என்று நான் சொன்னேனானால், இதோ, உம்முடைய பிள்ளைகளின் சந்ததிக்குத் துரோகியாவேன்.

¹⁶When I tried to understand this, it was too painful for me;

¹⁶இதை அறியும்படிக்கு யோசித்துப்பார்த்தேன்; நான் தேவனுடைய பரிசுத்த ஸ்தலத்துக்குள் பிரவேசித்து,

¹⁷Until I entered God’s sanctuary, and considered their latter end.

¹⁸Surely you set them in slippery places. You throw them down to destruction.

¹⁹How they are suddenly destroyed! They are completely swept away with terrors.

²⁰As a dream when one wakes up, so, Lord, The word translated “Lord” is “Adonai.” when you awake, you will despise their fantasies.

²⁰நித்திரை தெளிந்தவுடனே சொப்பனம் ஒழிவதுபோல், ஆண்டவரே, நீர்விழிக்கும்போது, அவர்கள் வேஷத்தை இகழுவீர்.

²¹For my soul was grieved. I was embittered in my heart.

²²I was so senseless and ignorant. I was a brute beast before you.

²³Nevertheless, I am continually with you. You have held my right hand.

²³ஆனாலும் நான் எப்பொழுதும் உம்மோடிருக்கிறேன்; என் வலதுகையைப் பிடித்துத் தாங்குகிறீர்.

²⁴You will guide me with your counsel, and afterward receive me to glory.

²⁴உம்முடைய ஆலோசனையின்படி நீர் என்னை நடத்தி, முடிவிலே என்னை மகிமையில் ஏற்றுக்கொள்வீர்.

²⁵Whom do I have in heaven? There is no one on earth whom I desire besides you.

²⁵பரலோகத்தில் உம்மையல்லாமல் எனக்கு யார் உண்டு? பூலோகத்தில் உம்மைத் தவிர எனக்கு வேறே விருப்பமில்லை.

²⁶My flesh and my heart fails, but God is the strength of my heart and my portion forever.

²⁶என் மாம்சமும் என் இருதயமும் மாண்டுபோகிறது; தேவன் என்றென்றைக்கும் என் இருதயத்தின் கன்மலையும் என் பங்குமாயிருக்கிறார்.

²⁷For, behold, those who are far from you shall perish. You have destroyed all those who are unfaithful to you.

²⁷இதோ, உம்மைவிட்டுத் தூரமாய்ப்போகிறவர்கள் நாசமடைவார்கள்; உம்மைவிட்டுச் சோரம்போகிற அனைவரையும் சங்கரிப்பீர்.

²⁸எனக்கோ, தேவனை அண்டிக்கொண்டிருப்பதே நலம்; நான் உமது கிரியைகளையெல்லாம் சொல்லிவரும்படி கர்த்தராகிய ஆண்டவர்மேல் என் நம்பிக்கையை வைத்திருக்கிறேன்.
