¹Yahweh, our Lord, how majestic is your name in all the earth, who has set your glory above the heavens!

¹எங்கள் ஆண்டவராகிய கர்த்தாவே, உம்முடைய நாமம் பூமியெங்கும் எவ்வளவு மேன்மையுள்ளதாயிருக்கிறது! உம்முடைய மகத்துவத்தை வானங்களுக்கு மேலாக வைத்தீர்.

²From the lips of babes and infants you have established strength, because of your adversaries, that you might silence the enemy and the avenger.

²பகைஞனையும் பழிகாரனையும் அடக்கிப்போட, தேவரீர் உம்முடைய சத்துருக்களினிமித்தம் குழந்தைகள் பாலகர் வாயினால் பெலன் உண்டுபண்ணினீர்.

³When I consider your heavens, the work of your fingers, the moon and the stars, which you have ordained;

³உமது விரல்களின் கிரியையாகிய உம்முடைய வானங்களையும், நீர் ஸ்தாபித்த சந்திரனையும் நட்சத்திரங்களையும் நான் பார்க்கும்போது,

⁴what is man, that you think of him? What is the son of man, that you care for him?

⁴மனுஷனை நீர் நினைக்கிறதற்கும், மனுஷகுமாரனை நீர் விசாரிக்கிறதற்கும் அவன் எம்மாத்திரம் என்கிறேன்.

⁵For you have made him a little lower than God, Hebrew: Elohim. The word Elohim, used here, usually means “God,” but can also mean “gods,” “princes,” or “angels.” and crowned him with glory and honor.

⁵நீர் அவனைத் தேவதூதரிலும் சற்றுச் சிறியவனாக்கினீர்; மகிமையினாலும் கனத்தினாலும் அவனை முடிசூட்டினீர்.

⁶You make him ruler over the works of your hands. You have put all things under his feet:

⁶உம்முடைய கரத்தின் கிரியைகளின்மேல் நீர் அவனுக்கு ஆளுகை தந்து.

⁷All sheep and cattle, yes, and the animals of the field,

⁷ஆடுமாடுகளெல்லாவற்றையும், காட்டுமிருகங்களையும்,

⁸The birds of the sky, the fish of the sea, and whatever passes through the paths of the seas.

⁸ஆகாயத்துப் பறவைகளையும், சமுத்திரத்து மீன்களையும், கடல்களில் சஞ்சரிக்கிறவைகளையும் அவனுடைய பாதங்களுக்குக் கீழ்ப்படுத்தினீர்.
