¹Now in the assembly that was at Antioch there were some prophets and teachers: Barnabas, Simeon who was called Niger, Lucius of Cyrene, Manaen the foster brother of Herod the tetrarch, and Saul.

²As they served the Lord and fasted, the Holy Spirit said, “Separate Barnabas and Saul for me, for the work to which I have called them.”

³Then, when they had fasted and prayed and laid their hands on them, they sent them away.

⁴So, being sent out by the Holy Spirit, they went down to Seleucia. From there they sailed to Cyprus.

⁵When they were at Salamis, they proclaimed the word of God in the Jewish synagogues. They had also John as their attendant.

⁶When they had gone through the island to Paphos, they found a certain sorcerer, a false prophet, a Jew, whose name was Bar Jesus,

⁶เมื่อได้เดินตลอดเกาะนั้นไปถึงเมืองปาโฟสแล้ว ก็ได้พบคนหนึ่งเป็นคนทำเวทมนตร์ เป็นผู้ทำนายเท็จ เป็นพวกยิวชื่อว่าบารเยซู

⁷who was with the proconsul, Sergius Paulus, a man of understanding. This man summoned Barnabas and Saul, and sought to hear the word of God.

⁷อยู่กับผู้ว่าราชการเมืองชื่อเสอร์จีอัสเปาโล เป็นคนฉลาดรอบรู้ ผู้ว่าราชการเมืองจึงเชิญบารนาบัสกับเซาโลมา ปรารถนาจะฟังพระวจนะของพระเจ้า

⁸But Elymas the sorcerer (for so is his name by interpretation) withstood them, seeking to turn aside the proconsul from the faith.

⁸แต่เอลีมาสคนทำเวทมนตร์ (เพราะชื่อของเขามีความหมายอย่างนั้น) ได้คัดค้านขัดขวางบารนาบัสกับเซาโล หวังจะไม่ให้ผู้ว่าราชการเมืองเชื่อ

⁹But Saul, who is also called Paul, filled with the Holy Spirit, fastened his eyes on him,

¹¹Now, behold, the hand of the Lord is on you, and you will be blind, not seeing the sun for a season!” Immediately a mist and darkness fell on him. He went around seeking someone to lead him by the hand.

¹¹ดูเถิด บัดนี้พระหัตถ์ขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าก็อยู่บนเจ้า เจ้าจะเป็นคนตาบอดไม่เห็นดวงอาทิตย์จนถึงเวลากำหนด" ทันใดนั้นความมืดมัวก็บังเกิดแก่เอลีมาส เอลีมาสจึงคลำหาคนให้จูงมือไป

¹²Then the proconsul, when he saw what was done, believed, being astonished at the teaching of the Lord.

¹²ครั้นผู้ว่าราชการเมืองได้เห็นเหตุการณ์ที่เกิดขึ้นนั้นจึงเชื่อถือ และอัศจรรย์ใจด้วยพระดำรัสสอนขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า

¹³Now Paul and his company set sail from Paphos, and came to Perga in Pamphylia. John departed from them and returned to Jerusalem.

¹³แล้วเปาโลกับพวกของท่านก็แล่นเรือออกจากเมืองปาโฟสไปยังเมืองเปอร์กาในแคว้นปัมฟีเลีย ยอห์นได้ละพวกนั้นไว้แล้วกลับมายังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

¹⁴But they, passing on from Perga, came to Antioch of Pisidia. They went into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and sat down.

¹⁴แต่พวกนั้นเดินทางต่อไปจากเมืองเปอร์กาถึงเมืองอันทิโอกในแคว้นปิสิเดีย แล้วได้เข้าไปนั่งลงในธรรมศาลาในวันสะบาโต

¹⁵After the reading of the law and the prophets, the rulers of the synagogue sent to them, saying, “Brothers, if you have any word of exhortation for the people, speak.”

¹⁵เมื่ออ่านพระราชบัญญัติกับคำของศาสดาพยากรณ์แล้ว บรรดานายธรรมศาลาจึงใช้คนไปบอกเปาโลกับบารนาบัสว่า "พี่น้องเอ๋ย ถ้าท่านมีคำกล่าวเตือนสติแก่คนทั้งปวงก็เชิญกล่าวเถิด"

¹⁶Paul stood up, and beckoning with his hand said, “Men of Israel, and you who fear God, listen.

¹⁶ฝ่ายเปาโลจึงยืนขึ้นโบกมือแล้วกล่าวว่า "ท่านที่เป็นชนชาติอิสราเอลและท่านทั้งหลายที่เกรงกลัวพระเจ้า จงฟังเถิด

¹⁷The God of this people TR, NU add “Israel” chose our fathers, and exalted the people when they stayed as aliens in the land of Egypt, and with an uplifted arm, he led them out of it.

¹⁸For a period of about forty years he put up with them in the wilderness.

¹⁹When he had destroyed seven nations in the land of Canaan, he gave them their land for an inheritance, for about four hundred fifty years.

¹⁹เมื่อพระองค์ได้ทรงล้างผลาญชนเจ็ดชาติออกเสียจากแผ่นดินคานาอันแล้ว พระองค์ก็ทรงแบ่งแผ่นดินของชนชาติเหล่านั้นให้เขาโดยการจับสลาก

²⁰After these things he gave them judges until Samuel the prophet.

²¹Afterward they asked for a king, and God gave to them Saul the son of Kish, a man of the tribe of Benjamin, for forty years.

²²When he had removed him, he raised up David to be their king, to whom he also testified, ‘I have found David the son of Jesse, a man after my heart, who will do all my will.’

²²ครั้นถอดซาอูลแล้วพระองค์ได้ทรงตั้งดาวิดขึ้นเป็นกษัตริย์ของเขา และทรงเป็นพยานกล่าวถึงดาวิดว่า `เราได้พบดาวิดบุตรชายของเจสซีเป็นคนที่เราชอบใจ เป็นผู้ที่จะทำให้ความประสงค์ของเราสำเร็จทุกประการ'

²³From this man’s seed, God has brought salvation TR, NU read “a Savior, Jesus” instead of “salvation” to Israel according to his promise,

²⁵As John was fulfilling his course, he said, ‘What do you suppose that I am? I am not he. But behold, one comes after me the sandals of whose feet I am not worthy to untie.’

²⁵เวลาที่ยอห์นทำการตามหน้าที่ของตนเกือบจะสำเร็จ ท่านจึงถามว่า `ท่านทั้งหลายคิดเห็นว่า ข้าพเจ้าคือผู้ใด ข้าพเจ้าเป็นพระองค์นั้นหามิได้ แต่ดูเถิด จะมีพระองค์ผู้หนึ่งมาภายหลังข้าพเจ้า ซึ่งข้าพเจ้าไม่คู่ควรจะแก้สายรัดฉลองพระบาทของพระองค์'

²⁶Brothers, children of the stock of Abraham, and those among you who fear God, the word of this salvation is sent out to you.

²⁶ท่านพี่น้องทั้งหลาย ผู้สืบเชื้อสายของอับราฮัม และคนทั้งหลายในพวกท่านซึ่งเกรงกลัวพระเจ้า ข่าวเรื่องความรอดนี้ได้ทรงประทานมาถึงท่านทั้งหลายแล้ว

²⁷For those who dwell in Jerusalem, and their rulers, because they didn’t know him, nor the voices of the prophets which are read every Sabbath, fulfilled them by condemning him.

²⁷ฝ่ายชาวกรุงเยรูซาเล็มกับพวกขุนนางมิได้รู้จักพระองค์ หรือเข้าใจคำของศาสดาพยากรณ์ทั้งหลาย ซึ่งเคยอ่านกันทุกวันสะบาโต จึงทำให้สำเร็จตามคำเหล่านั้นโดยพิพากษาลงโทษพระองค์

²⁸Though they found no cause for death, they still asked Pilate to have him killed.

²⁸ถึงแม้ว่ามิได้พบความผิดประการใดในพระองค์ที่ควรจะให้ตาย พวกเขายังขอปีลาตให้ปลงพระชนม์พระองค์เสีย

²⁹When they had fulfilled all things that were written about him, they took him down from the tree, and laid him in a tomb.

²⁹ครั้นทำจนสำเร็จทุกอย่างตามซึ่งมีเขียนไว้แล้วว่าด้วยพระองค์ เขาจึงเชิญพระศพของพระองค์ลงจากต้นไม้ไปประดิษฐานไว้ในอุโมงค์

³⁰But God raised him from the dead,

³⁰แต่พระเจ้าได้ทรงให้พระองค์คืนพระชนม์

³¹and he was seen for many days by those who came up with him from Galilee to Jerusalem, who are his witnesses to the people.

³¹พระองค์ทรงปรากฏแก่คนทั้งหลายที่ตามพระองค์จากแคว้นกาลิลีไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็มเป็นหลายวัน บัดนี้คนเหล่านั้นเป็นพยานข้างพระองค์แก่คนทั้งหลาย

³²We bring you good news of the promise made to the fathers,

³²เรานำข่าวประเสริฐนี้มาแจ้งแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า พระสัญญาซึ่งทรงประทานแก่บรรพบุรุษของเรา

³³that God has fulfilled the same to us, their children, in that he raised up Jesus. As it is also written in the second psalm, ‘You are my Son. Today I have become your father.’ Psalm 2:7

³³พระเจ้าได้ทรงให้สำเร็จตามนั้นแก่เราผู้เป็นลูกหลานของคนเหล่านั้น คือในการที่พระองค์ทรงให้พระเยซูกลับคืนพระชนม์ เหมือนมีคำเขียนไว้ในหนังสือสดุดีบทที่สองว่า `ท่านเป็นบุตรของเรา วันนี้เราได้ให้กำเนิดแก่ท่านแล้ว'

³⁴“Concerning that he raised him up from the dead, now no more to return to corruption, he has spoken thus: ‘I will give you the holy and sure blessings of David.’ Isaiah 55:3

³⁴ส่วนข้อที่พระเจ้าได้ทรงให้พระองค์คืนพระชนม์ มิให้กลับเปื่อยเน่าอีกเลย พระองค์จึงตรัสอย่างนี้ว่า `เราจะให้ความเมตตาอันแน่นอนของเราซึ่งได้สัญญาไว้กับดาวิดให้แก่ท่าน'

³⁵Therefore he says also in another psalm, ‘You will not allow your Holy One to see decay.’ Psalm 16:10

³⁵เพราะพระองค์ตรัสไว้ในสดุดีอื่นว่า `พระองค์จะไม่ทรงให้องค์บริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์เปื่อยเน่าไป'

³⁶For David, after he had in his own generation served the counsel of God, fell asleep, and was laid with his fathers, and saw decay.

³⁶ฝ่ายดาวิดเมื่อได้ปฏิบัติในคราวอายุของท่านตามพระทัยของพระเจ้า และได้ล่วงหลับไปแล้ว และต้องฝังไว้กับบรรพบุรุษของท่าน ก็เปื่อยเน่าไป

³⁷But he whom God raised up saw no decay.

³⁷แต่พระองค์ซึ่งพระเจ้าได้ทรงให้เป็นขึ้นมานั้น มิได้ประสบความเปื่อยเน่าเลย

³⁸Be it known to you therefore, brothers The word for “brothers” here and where the context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” , that through this man is proclaimed to you remission of sins,

³⁸เหตุฉะนั้นพี่น้องทั้งหลาย จงเข้าใจเถิดว่า โดยพระองค์นั้นแหละจึงได้ประกาศการยกความผิดแก่ท่านทั้งหลาย

³⁹and by him everyone who believes is justified from all things, from which you could not be justified by the law of Moses.

³⁹และโดยพระองค์นั้น ทุกคนที่เชื่อจะพ้นโทษได้ทุกอย่าง ซึ่งจะพ้นไม่ได้โดยพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสส

⁴⁰Beware therefore, lest that come on you which is spoken in the prophets:

⁴⁰เหตุฉะนั้นจงระวังให้ดี เกลือกว่าคำซึ่งพวกศาสดาพยากรณ์ได้กล่าวไว้นั้นจะได้แก่ท่านทั้งหลาย คือว่า

⁴¹‘Behold, you scoffers, and wonder, and perish; for I work a work in your days, a work which you will in no way believe, if one declares it to you.’” Habakkuk 1:5

⁴¹`ดูก่อนให้เจ้าทั้งหลายผู้ประมาทหมิ่น ประหลาดใจและถึงพินาศ ด้วยว่าเรากระทำการในกาลสมัยของเจ้า เป็นการที่แม้แต่มีผู้มาบอกแล้ว เจ้าก็จะไม่เชื่อเลย'"

⁴²So when the Jews went out of the synagogue, the Gentiles begged that these words might be preached to them the next Sabbath.

⁴²เมื่อพวกยิวได้ออกไปจากธรรมศาลาแล้ว พวกคนต่างชาติก็อ้อนวอนให้ประกาศคำเหล่านั้นให้เขาฟังในวันสะบาโตหน้า

⁴³Now when the synagogue broke up, many of the Jews and of the devout proselytes followed Paul and Barnabas; who, speaking to them, urged them to continue in the grace of God.

⁴³ครั้นคนที่ประชุมกันนั้นต่างคนต่างไปจากธรรมศาลาแล้ว พวกยิวหลายคนกับคนเข้าจารีตที่เกรงกลัวพระเจ้าได้ตามเปาโลและบารนาบัสไป ท่านทั้งสองจึงพูดกับเขา ชวนให้เขาตั้งมั่นคงอยู่ในพระคุณของพระเจ้า

⁴⁴The next Sabbath almost the whole city was gathered together to hear the word of God.

⁴⁴ครั้นถึงวันสะบาโตหน้า คนเกือบสิ้นทั้งเมืองได้ประชุมกันฟังพระวจนะของพระเจ้า

⁴⁵But when the Jews saw the multitudes, they were filled with jealousy, and contradicted the things which were spoken by Paul, and blasphemed.

⁴⁵แต่เมื่อพวกยิวเห็นคนมากมายก็มีใจอิจฉาอย่างยิ่ง ได้พูดคัดค้านคำของเปาโลถึงโต้แย้งกับพูดคำสบประมาท

⁴⁶Paul and Barnabas spoke out boldly, and said, “It was necessary that God’s word should be spoken to you first. Since indeed you thrust it from you, and judge yourselves unworthy of eternal life, behold, we turn to the Gentiles.

⁴⁶แล้วเปาโลกับบารนาบัสมีใจกล้า ได้กล่าวว่า "จำเป็นที่จะต้องกล่าวพระวจนะของพระเจ้าให้ท่านทั้งหลายฟังก่อน แต่เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายปัดเสีย และตัดสินว่าตนไม่สมควรที่จะได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์ ดูเถิด พวกเราจะบ่ายหน้าไปหาคนต่างชาติ

⁴⁷For so has the Lord commanded us, saying, ‘I have set you as a light for the Gentiles, that you should bring salvation to the uttermost parts of the earth.’” Isaiah 49:6

⁴⁷ด้วยองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าได้ตรัสสั่งเราอย่างนี้ว่า `เราได้ตั้งเจ้าไว้ให้เป็นความสว่างของคนต่างชาติ เพื่อเจ้าจะเป็นเหตุให้คนทั้งหลายรอด ถึงที่สุดปลายแผ่นดินโลก'"

⁴⁸As the Gentiles heard this, they were glad, and glorified the word of God. As many as were appointed to eternal life believed.

⁴⁸ฝ่ายคนต่างชาติเมื่อได้ยินอย่างนั้นก็มีความยินดี และได้สรรเสริญพระวจนะขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า และคนทั้งหลายที่ทรงหมายไว้แล้วเพื่อให้ได้ชีวิตนิรันดร์ก็ได้เชื่อถือ

⁴⁹The Lord’s word was spread abroad throughout all the region.

⁴⁹พระวจนะขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจึงแพร่ไปตลอดทั่วเขตแดนนั้น

⁵⁰But the Jews stirred up the devout and prominent women and the chief men of the city, and stirred up a persecution against Paul and Barnabas, and threw them out of their borders.

⁵⁰แต่พวกยิวได้ยุยงพวกสตรีมีศักดิ์ที่ถือพระเจ้า กับทั้งผู้ชายที่เป็นใหญ่ในเมืองนั้นให้เคี่ยวเข็ญ และไล่เปาโลกับบารนาบัสออกจากเมืองของเขา

⁵¹But they shook off the dust of their feet against them, and came to Iconium.

⁵¹ฝ่ายเปาโลกับบารนาบัสจึงสะบัดผงคลีดินจากเท้าของท่านออกเพื่อต่อว่าพวกเขา แล้วก็ไปยังเขตเมืองอิโคนียูม

⁵²The disciples were filled with joy with the Holy Spirit.
