1“At that time shall Michael stand up, the great prince who stands for the children of your people; and there shall be a time of trouble, such as never was since there was a nation even to that same time: and at that time your people shall be delivered, everyone who shall be found written in the book.
1"ในครั้งนั้น มีคาเอล จ้าวผู้พิทักษ์ยิ่งใหญ่ ผู้คุ้มกันชนชาติของท่านจะลุกขึ้น และจะมีเวลายากลำบากอย่างไม่เคยมีมาตั้งแต่ครั้งมีประชาชาติจนถึงสมัยนั้น แต่ในครั้งนั้นชนชาติของท่านจะรับการช่วยให้พ้น คือทุกคนที่มีชื่อบันทึกไว้ในหนังสือ
2Many of those who sleep in the dust of the earth shall awake, some to everlasting life, and some to shame and everlasting contempt.
2และคนเป็นอันมากในพวกที่หลับในผงคลีแห่งแผ่นดินโลกจะตื่นขึ้น บ้างก็จะเข้าสู่ชีวิตนิรันดร์ บ้างก็เข้าสู่ความอับอายและความขายหน้านิรันดร์
3Those who are wise shall shine as the brightness of the expanse; and those who turn many to righteousness as the stars forever and ever.
3และบรรดาคนที่ฉลาดจะส่องแสงเหมือนแสงฟ้า และบรรดาผู้ที่ได้ให้คนเป็นอันมากมาสู่ความชอบธรรมจะส่องแสงเหมือนอย่างดาวเป็นนิตย์นิรันดร์
4But you, Daniel, shut up the words, and seal the book, even to the time of the end: many shall run back and forth, and knowledge shall be increased.”
4แต่ตัวเจ้าดาเนียลเอ๋ย จงปิดถ้อยคำเหล่านั้นไว้ และประทับตราหนังสือนั้นเสีย จนถึงวาระสุดท้าย คนเป็นอันมากจะวิ่งไปวิ่งมา และความรู้จะทวีขึ้น"
5Then I, Daniel, looked, and behold, two others stood, one on the river bank on this side, and the other on the river bank on that side.
5แล้วข้าพเจ้าคือดาเนียลก็มองดู และดูเถิด มีอีกสองคนยืนอยู่ คนหนึ่งยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งแม่น้ำข้างนี้ อีกคนหนึ่งยืนอยู่ที่ฝั่งแม่น้ำข้างโน้น
6One said to the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, How long shall it be to the end of these wonders?
6และเขาก็พูดกับชายที่สวมเสื้อผ้าป่าน ผู้ซึ่งอยู่เหนือน้ำแห่งแม่น้ำนั้นว่า "ยังอีกนานเท่าใดจึงจะถึงที่สุดปลายของสิ่งมหัศจรรย์เหล่านี้"
7I heard the man clothed in linen, who was above the waters of the river, when he held up his right hand and his left hand to heaven, and swore by him who lives forever that it shall be for a time, times, and a half; and when they have made an end of breaking in pieces the power of the holy people, all these things shall be finished.
7ชายที่สวมเสื้อผ้าป่านผู้ซึ่งอยู่เหนือน้ำทั้งหลายแห่งแม่น้ำนั้น ได้ยกมือขวาและมือซ้ายของท่านสู่ฟ้าสวรรค์ และข้าพเจ้าได้ยินท่านปฏิญาณอ้างพระผู้ทรงพระชนม์อยู่เป็นนิตย์ว่า ยังอีกวาระหนึ่ง สองวาระ และครึ่งวาระ และเมื่อการหมดอำนาจของชนชาติบริสุทธิ์สิ้นสุดลงแล้ว บรรดาสิ่งเหล่านี้ก็สำเร็จไปด้วย
8I heard, but I didn’t understand: then I said, my lord, what shall be the issue of these things?
8ข้าพเจ้าได้ยินแต่ไม่เข้าใจ แล้วข้าพเจ้าจึงพูดว่า "นายเจ้าข้า สิ่งเหล่านี้จะลงเอยอย่างไร"
9He said, Go your way, Daniel; for the words are shut up and sealed until the time of the end.
9พระองค์ตรัสว่า "ดาเนียลเอ๋ย ไปเถอะ เพราะว่าถ้อยคำเหล่านั้นก็ถูกปิดไว้แล้วและถูกประทับตราไว้จนถึงวาระสุดท้าย
10Many shall purify themselves, and make themselves white, and be refined; but the wicked shall do wickedly; and none of the wicked shall understand; but those who are wise shall understand.
10คนเป็นอันมากจะได้รับการชำระแล้วจะขาวสะอาด และจะถูกถลุง แต่คนชั่วจะยังกระทำการชั่ว และไม่มีคนชั่วสักคนหนึ่งจะเข้าใจ แต่บรรดาคนที่ฉลาดจะเข้าใจ
11From the time that the continual burnt offering shall be taken away, and the abomination that makes desolate set up, there shall be one thousand two hundred ninety days.
11และตั้งแต่เวลาที่ให้เลิกเครื่องเผาบูชาประจำวันเสียนั้น และให้ตั้งสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนซึ่งกระทำให้เกิดการรกร้างว่างเปล่าขึ้น จะเป็นเวลาหนึ่งพันสองร้อยเก้าสิบวัน
12Blessed is he who waits, and comes to the one thousand three hundred thirty-five days.
12ความสุขจะมีแก่ผู้คอยอยู่ และมาถึงได้หนึ่งพันสามร้อยสามสิบห้าวันนั้น
13But go you your way until the end; for you shall rest, and shall stand in your lot, at the end of the days.
13แต่เจ้าจงไปจนวาระที่สุดเถิด และเจ้าจะได้หยุดพักสงบ และจะยืนขึ้นในส่วนที่กำหนดให้เจ้า เมื่อสิ้นสุดวันทั้งหลายนั้น"
