¹Woe to those who decree unrighteous decrees, and to the writers who write oppressive decrees;

¹วิบัติแก่คนเหล่านั้นที่ออกกฎหมายอธรรม และแก่ผู้เขียนที่เขียนแต่การบีบคั้นเรื่อยไป

²to deprive the needy from justice, and to rob the poor among my people of their rights, that widows may be their spoil, and that they may make the fatherless their prey!

²เพื่อหันคนขัดสนไปจากความยุติธรรม และปล้นสิทธิของคนจนแห่งชนชาติของเราเสีย เพื่อว่าหญิงม่ายจะเป็นเหยื่อของเขา และเพื่อเขาจะปล้นคนกำพร้าพ่อเสีย

³What will you do in the day of visitation, and in the desolation which will come from afar? To whom will you flee for help? Where will you leave your wealth?

³พวกเจ้าจะกระทำอย่างไรในวันแห่งการลงอาญา และในการกวาดล้างซึ่งจะมาจากที่ไกล เจ้าจะหนีไปพึ่งใคร และเจ้าจะฝากสง่าราศีของเจ้าไว้ที่ไหน

⁴They will only bow down under the prisoners, and will fall under the slain. For all this his anger is not turned away, but his hand is stretched out still.

⁴ปราศจากเราพวกเขาจะกราบลงอยู่กับนักโทษ เขาจะล้มลงในหมู่พวกคนที่ถูกฆ่า ถึงกระนั้นก็ดีพระพิโรธของพระองค์ก็ยังมิได้หันกลับ และพระหัตถ์ของพระองค์ยังเหยียดออกอยู่

⁵Alas Assyrian, the rod of my anger, the staff in whose hand is my indignation!

⁵วิบัติแก่อัสซีเรีย ผู้เป็นตะบองแห่งความกริ้วของเรา และไม้พลองในมือของเขาคือความเกรี้ยวกราดของเรา

⁶I will send him against a profane nation, and against the people who anger me will I give him a command to take the spoil and to take the prey, and to tread them down like the mire of the streets.

⁶เราจะใช้เขาไปสู้ประชาชาติอันหน้าซื่อใจคด เราจะบัญชาเขาให้ไปสู้ชนชาติที่เรากริ้ว ไปเอาของริบและฉวยเหยื่อและให้เหยียบย่ำลงเหมือนเหยียบเลนในถนน

⁷However he doesn’t mean so, neither does his heart think so; but it is in his heart to destroy, and to cut off not a few nations.

⁷แต่เขามิได้ตั้งใจอย่างนั้น และจิตใจของเขาก็มิได้คิดอย่างนั้น แต่ในใจของเขาคิดจะทำลาย และตัดประชาชาติเสียมิใช่น้อย

⁸For he says, “Aren’t all of my princes kings?

⁸เพราะเขาพูดว่า "ผู้บังคับบัญชาของข้าเป็นกษัตริย์หมดมิใช่หรือ

⁹Isn’t Calno like Carchemish? Isn’t Hamath like Arpad? Isn’t Samaria like Damascus?”

⁹เมืองคาลโนก็เหมือนเมืองคารเคมิชมิใช่หรือ เมืองฮามัทก็เหมือนเมืองอารปัดมิใช่หรือ เมืองสะมาเรียก็เหมือนเมืองดามัสกัสมิใช่หรือ

¹⁰As my hand has found the kingdoms of the idols, whose engraved images exceeded those of Jerusalem and of Samaria;

¹⁰เหมือนอย่างมือของเราไปถึงบรรดาราชอาณาจักรของรูปเคารพ ซึ่งรูปเคารพแกะสลักของเขานั้นใหญ่กว่าของเยรูซาเล็มและสะมาเรีย

¹¹shall I not, as I have done to Samaria and her idols, so do to Jerusalem and her idols?

¹¹เราก็จะไม่ทำแก่เยรูซาเล็มกับรูปเคารพของเขาดอกหรือ ดังที่เราได้ทำแก่สะมาเรียและรูปเคารพของเขา"

¹²Therefore it will happen that, when the Lord has performed his whole work on Mount Zion and on Jerusalem, I will punish the fruit of the willful proud heart of the king of Assyria, and the insolence of his haughty looks.

¹²ต่อมาเมื่อองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงสำเร็จพระราชกิจทั้งสิ้นของพระองค์ที่ภูเขาศิโยนและที่เยรูซาเล็มแล้ว เราจะทรงลงทัณฑ์แก่ผลแห่งจิตใจจองหองของกษัตริย์แห่งอัสซีเรีย และสง่าราศีแห่งตายโสของเขา

¹³For he has said, “By the strength of my hand I have done it, and by my wisdom; for I have understanding: and I have removed the boundaries of the peoples, and have robbed their treasures. Like a valiant man I have brought down their rulers.

¹³เพราะเขาว่า "ข้าได้กระทำการนี้ด้วยกำลังมือของข้า และด้วยสติปัญญาของข้า เพราะข้ามีความเข้าใจ ข้าได้รื้อเขตแดนของชนชาติทั้งหลาย และได้ปล้นทรัพย์สมบัติของเขา ข้าได้โยนบรรดาชาวเมืองลงมาอย่างคนกล้าหาญ

¹⁴My hand has found the riches of the peoples like a nest, and like one gathers eggs that are abandoned, have I gathered all the earth. There was no one who moved their wing, or that opened their mouth, or chirped.”

¹⁴มือของข้าได้ฉวยทรัพย์สมบัติของชนชาติทั้งหลายเหมือนฉวยรังนก และอย่างคนเก็บไข่ซึ่งละทิ้งไว้ ข้าก็รวบรวมแผ่นดินโลกทั้งสิ้นดังนั้นแหละ และไม่มีผู้ใดขยับปีกมาปก หรืออ้าปากหรือร้องเสียงจ๊อกแจ๊ก"

¹⁵Should an axe brag against him who chops with it? Should a saw exalt itself above him who saws with it? As if a rod should lift those who lift it up, or as if a staff should lift up someone who is not wood.

¹⁵ขวานจะคุยข่มคนที่ใช้มันสกัดนั้นหรือ หรือเลื่อยจะทะนงตัวเหนือผู้ที่ใช้มันเลื่อยนั้นหรือ เหมือนกับว่าตะบองจะยกผู้ซึ่งถือมันขึ้นตี หรืออย่างไม้พลองจะยกตัวขึ้นเหมือนกับว่ามันไม่ทำด้วยไม้

¹⁶Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will send among his fat ones leanness; and under his glory a burning will be kindled like the burning of fire.

¹⁶ฉะนั้น องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าจอมโยธาจะทรงให้โรคผอมแห้งมาในหมู่พวกคนอ้วนพีของเขา ภายใต้เกียรติของเขาจะมีการไหม้ใหญ่โตเหมือนอย่างไฟไหม้

¹⁷The light of Israel will be for a fire, and his Holy One for a flame; and it will burn and devour his thorns and his briers in one day.

¹⁷ความสว่างแห่งอิสราเอลจะเป็นไฟ และองค์บริสุทธิ์ของท่านจะกลายเป็นเปลวเพลิง และจะเผาและกินหนามใหญ่และหนามย่อยของเขาเสียในวันเดียว

¹⁸He will consume the glory of his forest, and of his fruitful field, both soul and body. It will be as when a standard bearer faints.

¹⁸พระองค์จะทรงผลาญสง่าราศีแห่งป่าของเขาและแห่งสวนผลไม้ของเขา ทั้งจิตวิญญาณและร่างกาย และจะเป็นเหมือนเวลาผู้ถือธงอ่อนเปลี้ยลงไป

¹⁹The remnant of the trees of his forest shall be few, so that a child could write their number.

¹⁹ต้นไม้แห่งป่าของเขาจะเหลือน้อยเต็มที จนเด็กๆจะเขียนลงได้

²⁰It will come to pass in that day that the remnant of Israel, and those who have escaped from the house of Jacob will no more again lean on him who struck them, but shall lean on Yahweh, the Holy One of Israel, in truth.

²⁰ต่อมาในวันนั้น คนอิสราเอลที่เหลืออยู่ และคนที่รอดหนีไปแห่งวงศ์วานของยาโคบ จะไม่พิงผู้ที่ตีเขาอีก แต่จะพักพิงที่พระเยโฮวาห์ องค์บริสุทธิ์แห่งอิสราเอล โดยความจริง

²¹A remnant will return, even the remnant of Jacob, to the mighty God.

²¹ส่วนคนที่เหลืออยู่จะกลับมายังพระเจ้าผู้ทรงมหิทธิฤทธิ์ คือคนที่เหลืออยู่ของยาโคบ

²²For though your people, Israel, are like the sand of the sea, only a remnant of them will return. A destruction is determined, overflowing with righteousness.

²²อิสราเอลเอ๋ย เพราะแม้ว่าชนชาติของเจ้าจะเป็นดั่งเม็ดทรายในทะเล คนที่เหลืออยู่เท่านั้นจะกลับมา การเผาผลาญซึ่งกำหนดไว้แล้วจะล้นหลามไปด้วยความชอบธรรม

²³For the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will make a full end, and that determined, in the midst of all the earth.

²³เพราะว่าองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้าจอมโยธาจะทรงกระทำให้การเผาผลาญนั้นสิ้นสุดลงตามที่กำหนดไว้แล้วในท่ามกลางแผ่นดินทั้งสิ้น

²⁴Therefore the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, says “My people who dwell in Zion, don’t be afraid of the Assyrian, though he strike you with the rod, and lift up his staff against you, as Egypt did.

²⁴ฉะนั้น องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเจ้าจอมโยธาตรัสดังนี้ว่า "ชนชาติของเราเอ๋ย ผู้อยู่ในศิโยน อย่ากลัวคนอัสซีเรีย เขาจะตีเจ้าด้วยตะบองและจะยกไม้พลองของเขาขึ้นสู้เจ้าอย่างที่ในอียิปต์

²⁵For yet a very little while, and the indignation against you will be accomplished, and my anger will be directed to his destruction.”

²⁵เพราะอีกสักหน่อยเท่านั้น แล้วความกริ้วนั้นจะสิ้นสุด และความโกรธของเราจะมุ่งตรงที่การทำลายเขา

²⁶Yahweh of Armies will stir up a scourge against him, as in the slaughter of Midian at the rock of Oreb. His rod will be over the sea, and he will lift it up like he did against Egypt.

²⁶และพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาจะทรงเหวี่ยงแส้มาสู้เขา ดังที่พระองค์ทรงโจมตีคนมีเดียน ณ ศิลาโอเรบ และไม้พลองของพระองค์ที่เคยอยู่เหนือทะเล พระองค์จะทรงยกขึ้นอย่างที่ในอียิปต์

²⁷It will happen in that day, that his burden will depart from off your shoulder, and his yoke from off your neck, and the yoke shall be destroyed because of the anointing oil.

²⁷และต่อมาในวันนั้นภาระของเขาจะพรากไปจากบ่าของเจ้า และแอกของเขาจะถูกทำลายเสียจากคอของเจ้า และแอกนั้นจะถูกทำลายเพราะเหตุการเจิม"

²⁸He has come to Aiath. He has passed through Migron. At Michmash he stores his baggage.

²⁸เขาได้มาถึงอัยยาทแล้ว เขาได้ข้ามมิโกรน เขาเก็บสัมภาระของเขาไว้มิคมาช

²⁹They have gone over the pass. They have taken up their lodging at Geba. Ramah trembles. Gibeah of Saul has fled.

²⁹เขาเหล่านั้นผ่านช่องหว่างเขามาแล้ว เกบาเป็นที่เขาค้างคืน รามาห์สะทกสะท้าน กิเบอาห์ของซาอูลหนีไปแล้ว

³⁰Cry aloud with your voice, daughter of Gallim! Listen, Laishah! You poor Anathoth!

³⁰ธิดาของกัลลิมเอ๋ย ส่งเสียงร้องซี ให้เขายินได้ในไลชาห์เถิด อานาโธทเอ๋ย น่าสงสารจริง

³¹Madmenah is a fugitive. The inhabitants of Gebim flee for safety.

³¹มัดเมนาห์กำลังหนีอยู่ คนเกบิมหนีให้พ้นภัย

³²This very day he will halt at Nob. He shakes his hand at the mountain of the daughter of Zion, the hill of Jerusalem.

³²ในวันนั้นเอง เขาจะยับยั้งอยู่ที่เมืองโนบ เขาจะส่ายมือของเขาต่อต้านภูเขาแห่งธิดาของศิโยน เนินเขาของเยรูซาเล็ม

³³Behold, the Lord, Yahweh of Armies, will lop the boughs with terror. The tall will be cut down, and the lofty will be brought low.

³³ดูเถิด องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา จะทรงตัดกิ่งไม้ด้วยกำลังอันน่าคร้ามกลัว ต้นที่สูงยิ่งจะถูกโค่นลงมา และต้นที่สูงจะต้องต่ำลง

³⁴He will cut down the thickets of the forest with iron, and Lebanon will fall by the Mighty One.

³⁴พระองค์จะทรงใช้ขวานเหล็กฟันป่าทึบ และเลบานอนจะล้มลงโดยคนมีอำนาจใหญ่โต
