¹This is what Isaiah the son of Amoz saw concerning Judah and Jerusalem.

¹ถ้อยคำซึ่งอิสยาห์บุตรชายของอามอสเห็นเกี่ยวกับยูดาห์และเยรูซาเล็ม

²It shall happen in the latter days, that the mountain of Yahweh’s house shall be established on the top of the mountains, and shall be raised above the hills; and all nations shall flow to it.

²ในยุคหลังจะเป็นดังนี้ คือภูเขาแห่งพระนิเวศของพระเยโฮวาห์จะถูกสถาปนาขึ้นให้สูงที่สุดในจำพวกภูเขาทั้งหลาย และจะถูกยกขึ้นให้เหนือบรรดาเนินเขา และประชาชาติทั้งสิ้นจะหลั่งไหลเข้ามาหา

³Many peoples shall go and say, “Come, let’s go up to the mountain of Yahweh, to the house of the God of Jacob; and he will teach us of his ways, and we will walk in his paths.” For out of Zion the law shall go forth, and the word of Yahweh from Jerusalem.

³และชนชาติทั้งหลายเป็นอันมากจะมากล่าวว่า "มาเถิด ให้เราขึ้นไปยังภูเขาของพระเยโฮวาห์ ยังพระนิเวศแห่งพระเจ้าของยาโคบ เพื่อพระองค์จะทรงสอนวิถีของพระองค์แก่เรา และเพื่อเราจะเดินในมรรคาของพระองค์" เพราะว่าพระราชบัญญัติจะออกมาจากศิโยน และพระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์จะออกมาจากเยรูซาเล็ม

⁴He will judge between the nations, and will decide concerning many peoples; and they shall beat their swords into plowshares, and their spears into pruning hooks. Nation shall not lift up sword against nation, neither shall they learn war any more.

⁴พระองค์จะทรงวินิจฉัยระหว่างบรรดาประชาชาติ และจะทรงตำหนิชนชาติทั้งหลายเป็นอันมาก และเขาทั้งหลายจะตีดาบของเขาให้เป็นผาลไถนา และหอกของเขาให้เป็นขอลิด ประชาชาติจะไม่ยกดาบต่อสู้กันอีก เขาจะไม่ศึกษายุทธศาสตร์อีกต่อไป

⁵โอ วงศ์วานของยาโคบเอ๋ย มาเถิด ให้เราทั้งหลายดำเนินในสว่างของพระเยโฮวาห์

⁶For you have forsaken your people, the house of Jacob, because they are filled from the east, with those who practice divination like the Philistines, and they clasp hands with the children of foreigners.

⁶เพราะฉะนั้นพระองค์ทรงละทิ้งชนชาติของพระองค์เสีย คือวงศ์วานของยาโคบ เพราะว่าเขาอุดมด้วยหมอดูจากตะวันออกอย่างคนฟีลิสเตีย และเขาดีสนิทกับคนต่างชาติ

⁷Their land is full of silver and gold, neither is there any end of their treasures. Their land also is full of horses, neither is there any end of their chariots.

⁷แผ่นดินของเขาเต็มด้วยเงินและทองคำ ทรัพย์สมบัติของเขาไม่มีสิ้นสุด แผ่นดินของเขาเต็มด้วยม้า รถรบของเขาไม่มีสิ้นสุด

⁸Their land also is full of idols. They worship the work of their own hands, that which their own fingers have made.

⁸แผ่นดินของเขาเต็มด้วยรูปเคารพ เขากราบไหว้ผลงานแห่งมือของเขา ต่อสิ่งซึ่งนิ้วมือของเขาได้กระทำ

⁹Man is brought low, and mankind is humbled; therefore don’t forgive them.

⁹คนต่ำต้อยจึงกราบลงและคนใหญ่โตก็ถ่อมตัวลง ฉะนั้นอย่าอภัยเขาเลย

¹⁰Enter into the rock, and hide in the dust, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty.

¹⁰จงหลบเข้าไปในหินและซ่อนอยู่ในผงคลี ให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระเยโฮวาห์ และจากสง่าราศีแห่งความโอ่อ่าตระการของพระองค์

¹¹The lofty looks of man will be brought low, the haughtiness of men will be bowed down, and Yahweh alone will be exalted in that day.

¹¹และท่าอันผยองของมนุษย์จะตกต่ำลง และความจองหองของคนจะถูกปราบลง พระเยโฮวาห์องค์เดียวจะเป็นผู้เทิดทูนในวันนั้น

¹²For there will be a day of Yahweh of Armies for all that is proud and haughty, and for all that is lifted up; and it shall be brought low:

¹²เพราะว่าวันแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาจะสู้สารพัดที่เย่อหยิ่งและสูงส่ง สู้สารพัดที่ถูกยกขึ้นและพวกเขาจะถูกปราบลง

¹³For all the cedars of Lebanon, that are high and lifted up, for all the oaks of Bashan,

¹³สู้ต้นสนสีดาร์ทั้งสิ้นของเลบานอนที่สูงและที่ถูกยกขึ้น และสู้ต้นโอ๊กทั้งสิ้นของบาชาน

¹⁴For all the high mountains, for all the hills that are lifted up,

¹⁴สู้ภูเขาสูงทั้งสิ้น และสู้เนินเขาทั้งปวงที่ถูกยกขึ้น

¹⁵For every lofty tower, for every fortified wall,

¹⁵สู้หอคอยสูงทุกแห่ง และสู้กำแพงที่เข้มแข็งทุกแห่ง

¹⁶For all the ships of Tarshish, and for all pleasant imagery.

¹⁶สู้กำปั่นทั้งสิ้นของทารชิช และสู้รูปภาพงดงามทั้งสิ้น

¹⁷The loftiness of man shall be bowed down, and the haughtiness of men shall be brought low; and Yahweh alone shall be exalted in that day.

¹⁷และความผยองของมนุษย์จะต้องถูกปราบลง และความจองหองของคนจะตกต่ำลง ในวันนั้นพระเยโฮวาห์องค์เดียวจะเป็นที่เทิดทูน

¹⁸และรูปเคารพทั้งหลายพระองค์จะทรงทำลายอย่างเต็มที่

¹⁹Men shall go into the caves of the rocks, and into the holes of the earth, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

¹⁹และคนจะเข้าไปในถ้ำหินและในโพรงดินให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระเยโฮวาห์ และจากสง่าราศีแห่งความโอ่อ่าตระการของพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงลุกขึ้นกระทำให้โลกสั่นสะท้าน

²⁰In that day, men shall cast away their idols of silver, and their idols of gold, which have been made for themselves to worship, to the moles and to the bats;

²⁰ในวันนั้นคนจะเหวี่ยงรูปเคารพของตนออกไปอันทำด้วยเงิน และรูปเคารพของตนที่ทำด้วยทองคำ ซึ่งเขาทำไว้เพื่อตนเองจะนมัสการ ไปยังตัวตุ่นและตัวค้างคาว

²¹To go into the caverns of the rocks, and into the clefts of the ragged rocks, from before the terror of Yahweh, and from the glory of his majesty, when he arises to shake the earth mightily.

²¹เพื่อเขาจะเข้าถ้ำหินและเข้าซอกผา ให้พ้นจากความน่าเกรงขามของพระเยโฮวาห์ และจากสง่าราศีแห่งความโอ่อ่าตระการของพระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงลุกขึ้นกระทำให้โลกสั่นสะท้าน

²²Stop trusting in man, whose breath is in his nostrils; for of what account is he?

²²จงตัดขาดจากมนุษย์เสียเถิด ซึ่งในจมูกของเขามีลมหายใจ เพราะเขามีคุณค่าอะไรเล่า
