¹Who has believed our message? To whom has the arm of Yahweh been revealed?

¹ใครเล่าได้เชื่อสิ่งที่เขาได้ยินจากเราทั้งหลาย พระกรของพระเยโฮวาห์ได้ทรงสำแดงแก่ผู้ใด

²For he grew up before him as a tender plant, and as a root out of dry ground. He has no good looks or majesty. When we see him, there is no beauty that we should desire him.

²เพราะท่านจะเจริญขึ้นต่อพระพักตร์พระองค์อย่างต้นไม้อ่อน และเหมือนรากแตกหน่อมาจากพื้นดินแห้ง ท่านไม่มีรูปร่างหรือความสวยงาม และเมื่อเราทั้งหลายจะมองท่าน ไม่มีความงามที่เราจะพึงปรารถนาท่าน

³He was despised, and rejected by men; a man of suffering, and acquainted with disease. He was despised as one from whom men hide their face; and we didn’t respect him.

³ท่านได้ถูกมนุษย์ดูหมิ่นและทอดทิ้ง เป็นคนที่รับความเศร้าโศกและคุ้นเคยกับความระทมทุกข์ และดังผู้หนึ่งซึ่งคนทนมองดูไม่ได้ ท่านถูกดูหมิ่น และเราทั้งหลายไม่ได้นับถือท่าน

⁴Surely he has borne our sickness, and carried our suffering; yet we considered him plagued, struck by God, and afflicted.

⁴แน่ทีเดียวท่านได้แบกความระทมทุกข์ของเราทั้งหลาย และหอบความเศร้าโศกของเราไป กระนั้นเราทั้งหลายก็ยังถือว่าท่านถูกตี คือพระเจ้าทรงโบยตีและข่มใจ

⁵But he was pierced for our transgressions. He was crushed for our iniquities. The punishment that brought our peace was on him; and by his wounds we are healed.

⁵แต่ท่านถูกบาดเจ็บเพราะความละเมิดของเราทั้งหลาย ท่านฟกช้ำเพราะความชั่วช้าของเรา การตีสอนอันทำให้เราทั้งหลายปลอดภัยนั้นตกแก่ท่าน ที่ต้องฟกช้ำนั้นก็ให้เราหายดี

⁶All we like sheep have gone astray. Everyone has turned to his own way; and Yahweh has laid on him the iniquity of us all.

⁶เราทุกคนได้เจิ่นไปเหมือนแกะ เราทุกคนต่างได้หันไปตามทางของตนเอง และพระเยโฮวาห์ทรงวางลงบนท่านซึ่งความชั่วช้าของเราทุกคน

⁷He was oppressed, yet when he was afflicted he didn’t open his mouth. As a lamb that is led to the slaughter, and as a sheep that before its shearers is mute, so he didn’t open his mouth.

⁷ท่านถูกบีบบังคับและท่านถูกข่มใจ ถึงกระนั้นท่านก็ไม่ปริปาก เหมือนลูกแกะที่ถูกนำไปฆ่า และเหมือนแกะที่เป็นใบ้อยู่หน้าผู้ตัดขนของมันฉันใด ท่านก็ไม่ปริปากของท่านเลยฉันนั้น

⁸He was taken away by oppression and judgment; and as for his generation, who considered that he was cut off out of the land of the living and stricken for the disobedience of my people?

⁸ท่านถูกนำไปจากคุกและท่านไม่ได้รับความยุติธรรมเสียเลย และผู้ใดเล่าจะประกาศเกี่ยวกับพงศ์พันธุ์ของท่าน เพราะท่านต้องถูกตัดออกไปจากแผ่นดินของคนเป็น ต้องถูกตีเพราะการละเมิดของชนชาติของเรา

⁹They made his grave with the wicked, and with a rich man in his death; although he had done no violence, neither was any deceit in his mouth.

⁹และเขาจัดหลุมศพของท่านไว้กับคนชั่ว ในความตายของท่านเขาจัดไว้กับเศรษฐี แม้ว่าท่านมิได้กระทำการทารุณประการใดเลย และไม่มีการหลอกลวงในปากของท่าน

¹⁰Yet it pleased Yahweh to bruise him. He has caused him to suffer. When you make his soul an offering for sin, he shall see his seed. He shall prolong his days, and the pleasure of Yahweh shall prosper in his hand.

¹⁰แต่ก็ยังเป็นน้ำพระทัยของพระเยโฮวาห์ที่จะให้ท่านฟกช้ำด้วยความระทมทุกข์ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงกระทำให้วิญญาณของท่านเป็นเครื่องบูชาไถ่บาป ท่านจะเห็นเชื้อสายของท่าน ท่านจะยืดวันทั้งหลายของท่าน น้ำพระทัยของพระเยโฮวาห์จะเจริญขึ้นในมือของท่าน

¹¹After the suffering of his soul, he will see the light So read the Dead Sea Scrolls and Septuagint. Masoretic Text omits “the light”. and be satisfied. My righteous servant will justify many by the knowledge of himself; and he will bear their iniquities.

¹¹ท่านจะเห็นความทุกข์ลำบากแห่งจิตวิญญาณของท่าน และจะพอใจ โดยความรู้ของท่าน ผู้รับใช้อันชอบธรรมของเราจะกระทำให้คนเป็นอันมากนับได้ว่าเป็นคนชอบธรรม เพราะท่านจะแบกบรรดาความชั่วช้าของเขาทั้งหลาย

¹²Therefore will I divide him a portion with the great, and he shall divide the spoil with the strong; because he poured out his soul to death, and was numbered with the transgressors; yet he bore the sin of many, and made intercession for the transgressors.

¹²ฉะนี้เราจะแบ่งส่วนหนึ่งให้ท่านกับผู้ยิ่งใหญ่ และท่านจะแบ่งรางวัลกับคนแข็งแรง เพราะท่านเทจิตวิญญาณของท่านถึงความมรณะ และถูกนับเข้ากับบรรดาผู้ละเมิด ท่านก็แบกบาปของคนเป็นอันมาก และทำการอ้อนวอนเพื่อผู้ละเมิด
