1The righteous perishes, and no man lays it to heart; and merciful men are taken away, none considering that the righteous is taken away from the evil.
1คนชอบธรรมพินาศ และไม่มีใครเอาใจใส่ คนที่มีใจเมตตาถูกเอาไปเสีย ไม่มีใครพิจารณาว่าคนชอบธรรมถูกเอาไปเสียจากความชั่วร้ายที่จะมา
2He enters into peace; they rest in their beds, each one who walks in his uprightness.
2เขาจะเข้าไปในสันติภาพ ผู้ดำเนินในความเที่ยงธรรมของเขา ก็จะพักอยู่บนที่นอนของเขา
3“But draw near here, you sons of the sorceress, the seed of the adulterer and the prostitute.
3แต่เจ้าทั้งหลาย บรรดาบุตรชายของแม่มด เชื้อสายของคนล่วงประเวณีและหญิงแพศยา จงเข้ามาใกล้ที่นี่
4Against whom do you sport yourselves? Against whom do you make a wide mouth, and stick out your tongue? Aren’t you children of disobedience, a seed of falsehood,
4เจ้าทั้งหลายพูดเย้ยหยันใคร เจ้าอ้าปากเย้ยแลบลิ้นหลอกผู้ใด เจ้าเป็นลูกแห่งการละเมิด เป็นเชื้อสายแห่งความมุสามิใช่หรือ
5you who inflame yourselves among the oaks, under every green tree; who kill the children in the valleys, under the clefts of the rocks?
5คือเจ้าผู้ร้อนเร่าด้วยรูปเคารพภายใต้ต้นไม้เขียวทุกต้น ผู้ฆ่าลูกของเจ้าในหุบเขาใต้ซอกหิน
6Among the smooth stones of the valley is your portion; they, they are your lot; you have even poured a drink offering to them. You have offered an offering. Shall I be appeased for these things?

7On a high and lofty mountain you have set your bed; there also you went up to offer sacrifice.

8Behind the doors and the posts you have set up your memorial: for you have uncovered to someone besides me, and have gone up; you have enlarged your bed, and made you a covenant with them: you loved their bed where you saw it.
8เจ้าได้ตั้งอนุสาวรีย์ของเจ้าไว้หลังประตูและเสาประตู เจ้าจึงเปิดผ้าคลุมที่นอนของเจ้า เจ้าขึ้นไปบนนั้น เจ้าทำให้มันกว้าง และเจ้าตกลงกับมันเพื่อเจ้าเอง เจ้ารักที่นอนของมัน และเจ้าได้มองดูการเปลือย

10เจ้าเหน็ดเหนื่อยเพราะระยะทางไกลของเจ้า แต่เจ้ามิได้พูดว่า "หมดหวัง" เจ้าประสบชีวิตแห่งมือของเจ้า และเจ้าจึงมิได้โศกเศร้า
11“Of whom have you been afraid and in fear, that you lie, and have not remembered me, nor laid it to your heart? Haven’t I held my peace even of long time, and you don’t fear me?
11เจ้าครั่นคร้ามและกลัวใคร เจ้าจึงได้มุสาอยู่นั่นเองและไม่นึกถึงเรา และไม่เอาใจใส่เราสักนิด เรามิได้ระงับปากอยู่เป็นเวลานานแล้วดอกหรือ อย่างนั้นซีเจ้าจึงไม่ยำเกรงเรา
12I will declare your righteousness; and as for your works, they shall not profit you.
12เราจะบอกถึงความชอบธรรมและการกระทำของเจ้า แต่มันก็จะไม่เป็นประโยชน์แก่เจ้า
13When you cry, let those who you have gathered deliver you; but the wind shall take them, a breath shall carry them all away: but he who takes refuge in me shall possess the land, and shall inherit my holy mountain.”
13เมื่อเจ้าร้องออกมาก็ให้สิ่งที่เจ้าสะสมไว้ช่วยเจ้าให้พ้นซี แต่ลมจะพัดมันไปเสียหมด เพียงลมหายใจจะหอบมันออกไป แต่ผู้ที่วางใจในเราจะได้แผ่นดินนั้นเป็นกรรมสิทธิ์ และจะได้ภูเขาบริสุทธิ์ของเราเป็นมรดก
14He will say, “Cast up, cast up, prepare the way, take up the stumbling-block out of the way of my people.”
14และจะมีเสียงว่า "พูนดิน พูนดินขึ้น และจงเตรียมทาง รื้อถอนอุปสรรคเสียจากทางของชนชาติของเรา"
15For thus says the high and lofty One who inhabits eternity, whose name is Holy: “I dwell in the high and holy place, with him also who is of a contrite and humble spirit, to revive the spirit of the humble, and to revive the heart of the contrite.
15องค์ผู้สูงเด่น คือผู้อยู่ในนิรันดร์กาล ผู้ทรงพระนามว่าบริสุทธิ์ ตรัสดังนี้ว่า "เราอยู่ในที่ที่สูงและบริสุทธิ์ และอยู่กับผู้ที่มีจิตใจสำนึกผิดและถ่อม เพื่อจะรื้อฟื้นจิตใจของผู้ใจถ่อม และรื้อฟื้นใจของผู้สำนึกผิด
16For I will not contend forever, neither will I be always angry; for the spirit would faint before me, and the souls who I have made.
16เพราะเราจะไม่ต่อสู้แย้งอยู่เป็นนิตย์ หรือโกรธอยู่เสมอ เพราะจิตวิญญาณจะอ่อนลงต่อหน้าเรา คือบรรดาจิตวิญญาณที่เราได้สร้างแล้ว
17For the iniquity of his covetousness was I angry, and struck him; I hid myself and was angry; and he went on backsliding in the way of his heart.
17เราโกรธเพราะความชั่วช้าแห่งความโลภของเขา เราตีเขา เราซ่อนตัวและโกรธ แต่เขายังหันกลับเดินตามชอบใจของเขาอยู่
18I have seen his ways, and will heal him: I will lead him also, and restore comforts to him and to his mourners.
18เราได้เห็นวิธีการของเขาแล้ว แต่เราจะรักษาเขาให้หาย เราจะนำเขา และสนองเขากับผู้ไว้ทุกข์ให้เขาด้วยการเล้าโลม"
19I create the fruit of the lips: Peace, peace, to him who is far off and to him who is near,” says Yahweh; “and I will heal them.”
19พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "เราสร้างผลของริมฝีปาก สันติภาพ สันติภาพแก่คนไกลและคนใกล้ และเราจะรักษาเขาให้หาย"
20But the wicked are like the troubled sea; for it can’t rest, and its waters cast up mire and dirt.
20แต่คนชั่วนั้นเหมือนทะเลที่กำเริบ เพราะมันนิ่งอยู่ไม่ได้ และน้ำของมันก็กวนตมและเลนขึ้นมา
21“There is no peace,” says my God, “for the wicked.”
