¹The word of Yahweh came also to me, saying,

¹พระวจนะของพระเยโฮวาห์มายังข้าพเจ้าว่า

²You shall not take a wife, neither shall you have sons or daughters, in this place.

²"เจ้าอย่ามีภรรยา เจ้าอย่ามีบุตรชายหรือบุตรสาวในที่นี้

³For thus says Yahweh concerning the sons and concerning the daughters who are born in this place, and concerning their mothers who bore them, and concerning their fathers who became their father in this land:

³เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้เรื่องบุตรชายและบุตรสาวที่เกิดในที่นี้ และทรงกล่าวถึงพวกมารดาที่คลอดบุตรเหล่านั้น และพวกบิดาที่ให้บังเกิดคนเหล่านั้นในแผ่นดินนี้ว่า

⁴They shall die grievous deaths: they shall not be lamented, neither shall they be buried; they shall be as dung on the surface of the ground; and they shall be consumed by the sword, and by famine; and their dead bodies shall be food for the birds of the sky, and for the animals of the earth.

⁴เขาทั้งหลายจะตายด้วยโรคร้าย จะไม่มีการโอดครวญอาลัยเขาทั้งหลาย หรือจะไม่มีใครจัดการฝังเขา เขาจะเป็นเหมือนมูลสัตว์ที่อยู่บนพื้นแผ่นดิน เขาทั้งหลายจะพินาศด้วยดาบและการกันดารอาหาร และศพทั้งหลายของเขาจะเป็นอาหารของนกในอากาศและของสัตว์แห่งแผ่นดิน

⁵For thus says Yahweh, Don’t enter into the house of mourning, neither go to lament, neither bemoan them; for I have taken away my peace from this people, says Yahweh, even loving kindness and tender mercies.

⁵เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้ว่า อย่าเข้าไปในเรือนที่ครวญคร่ำ หรือไปโอดครวญ หรือไปเสียใจด้วย พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะเราได้เอาสันติภาพของเราไปจากชนชาตินี้แล้ว ทั้งความเมตตาและกรุณาคุณของเรา

⁶Both great and small shall die in this land; they shall not be buried, neither shall men lament for them, nor cut themselves, nor make themselves bald for them;

⁶ทั้งผู้ใหญ่ผู่น้อยจะตายในแผ่นดินนี้ จะไม่มีใครจัดการฝังเขา จะไม่มีใครมาโอดครวญอาลัยเขา หรือมากรีดตัวหรือมาโกนศีรษะเพื่อเขา

⁷neither shall men break bread for them in mourning, to comfort them for the dead; neither shall men give them the cup of consolation to drink for their father or for their mother.

⁷จะไม่มีผู้ใดฉีกตัวเองเพื่อเขาเมื่อไว้ทุกข์ เพื่อจะปลอบโยนเขาเหตุคนที่ตายนั้น เพราะบิดามารดาของเขาจะไม่มีใครมอบถ้วยแห่งความเล้าโลมใจให้เขาดื่ม

⁸You shall not go into the house of feasting to sit with them, to eat and to drink.

⁸เจ้าอย่าเข้าไปนั่งกินและดื่มกับเขาในเรือนที่มีการเลี้ยง

⁹For thus says Yahweh of Armies, the God of Israel: Behold, I will cause to cease out of this place, before your eyes and in your days, the voice of mirth and the voice of gladness, the voice of the bridegroom and the voice of the bride.

⁹เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธา พระเจ้าแห่งอิสราเอล ตรัสดังนี้ว่า ดูเถิด เราจะกระทำให้เสียงบันเทิงและเสียงรื่นเริง เสียงเจ้าบ่าวและเสียงเจ้าสาว ขาดจากสถานที่นี้ต่อสายตาของเจ้าทั้งหลายและในวันของเจ้า

¹⁰It shall happen, when you shall show this people all these words, and they shall tell you, Why has Yahweh pronounced all this great evil against us? or what is our iniquity? or what is our sin that we have committed against Yahweh our God?

¹⁰ต่อมาเมื่อเจ้าบอกบรรดาถ้อยคำเหล่านี้แก่ชนชาตินี้ และเขาทั้งหลายพูดกับเจ้าว่า `ทำไมพระเยโฮวาห์จึงทรงประกาศความร้ายใหญ่ยิ่งทั้งสิ้นนี้ให้ตกแก่เรา ความชั่วช้าของเราคืออะไรเล่า เราได้กระทำบาปอะไรต่อพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเราเล่า'

¹¹Then you shall tell them, Because your fathers have forsaken me, says Yahweh, and have walked after other gods, and have served them, and have worshiped them, and have forsaken me, and have not kept my law;

¹¹แล้วเจ้าพึงกล่าวแก่เขาทั้งหลายว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะบรรพบุรุษของเจ้าได้ละทิ้งเรา และได้ติดสอยห้อยตามพระอื่น และได้ปรนนิบัติและนมัสการพระนั้น และได้ละทิ้งเรา และมิได้รักษาราชบัญญัติของเรา

¹²and you have done evil more than your fathers; for, behold, you walk every one after the stubbornness of his evil heart, so that you don’t listen to me:

¹²และเพราะเจ้าทั้งหลายได้กระทำชั่วร้ายยิ่งเสียกว่าบรรพบุรุษของเจ้า เพราะดูเถิด เจ้าทุกๆคนได้ดำเนินตามความดื้อกระด้างแห่งจิตใจอันชั่วร้ายของตนเอง ปฏิเสธไม่ยอมฟังเรา

¹³therefore will I cast you forth out of this land into the land that you have not known, neither you nor your fathers; and there you shall serve other gods day and night; for I will show you no favor.

¹³เพราะฉะนั้น เราจะเหวี่ยงเจ้าออกเสียจากแผ่นดินนี้เข้าไปในแผ่นดินซึ่งเจ้าหรือบรรพบุรุษของเจ้าไม่รู้จัก และที่นั่นเจ้าจะปรนนิบัติพระอื่นทั้งกลางวันและกลางคืน เพราะเราจะไม่สำแดงพระคุณแก่เจ้าเลย'

¹⁴Therefore behold, the days come, says Yahweh, that it shall no more be said, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel out of the land of Egypt;

¹⁴พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะฉะนั้น ดูเถิด วันเดือนจะมาถึง เมื่อไม่มีใครกล่าวต่อไปอีกว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงนำประชาชนอิสราเอลขึ้นมาจากแผ่นดินอียิปต์ทรงพระชนม์อยู่แน่ฉันใด'

¹⁵but, As Yahweh lives, who brought up the children of Israel from the land of the north, and from all the countries where he had driven them. I will bring them again into their land that I gave to their fathers.

¹⁵แต่จะพูดว่า `พระเยโฮวาห์ผู้ทรงนำประชาชนอิสราเอลขึ้นมาจากแดนเหนือ และขึ้นมาจากบรรดาประเทศซึ่งพระองค์ได้ทรงขับไล่เขาให้ไปอยู่นั้น ทรงพระชนม์อยู่ฉันใด' เพราะเราจะนำเขาทั้งหลายกลับมาสู่แผ่นดินของเขาเอง ซึ่งเราได้ยกให้บรรพบุรุษของเขาแล้วนั้น

¹⁶Behold, I will send for many fishermen, says Yahweh, and they shall fish them up; and afterward I will send for many hunters, and they shall hunt them from every mountain, and from every hill, and out of the clefts of the rocks.

¹⁶พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า ดูเถิด เราจะส่งชาวประมงมาเป็นอันมาก และเขาจะจับเขาทั้งหลาย ภายหลังเราจะให้เขาพาพรานมาเป็นอันมาก พรานจะล่าเขาทั้งหลายตามภูเขาทุกแห่งและตามเนินเขาทุกลูกและตามซอกหิน

¹⁷For my eyes are on all their ways; they are not hidden from my face, neither is their iniquity concealed from my eyes.

¹⁷เพราะว่า ตาเรามองดูพฤติการณ์ทั้งสิ้นของเขา จะปิดบังไว้จากหน้าเราไม่ได้ และความชั่วช้าของเขาทั้งหลายจะซ่อนพ้นตาเราไม่ได้

¹⁸First I will recompense their iniquity and their sin double, because they have polluted my land with the carcasses of their detestable things, and have filled my inheritance with their abominations.

¹⁸และก่อนอื่นเราจะตอบสนองความชั่วช้าและบาปของเขาเป็นสองเท่า เพราะเขาได้กระทำให้แผ่นดินเราเป็นมลทินไป และกระทำให้มรดกของเราเต็มไปด้วยซากของสิ่งที่น่าสะอิดสะเอียนและสิ่งที่น่าเกลียดน่าชังของเขาทั้งหลาย"

¹⁹Yahweh, my strength, and my stronghold, and my refuge in the day of affliction, to you shall the nations come from the ends of the earth, and shall say, Our fathers have inherited nothing but lies, vanity and things in which there is no profit.

¹⁹ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ กำลังและที่กำบังเข้มแข็งของข้าพระองค์ เป็นที่ลี้ภัยของข้าพระองค์ในวันยากลำบาก บรรดาประชาชาติจะมาเฝ้าพระองค์จากที่สุดปลายโลก และทูลว่า "บรรพบุรุษของเราไม่ได้รับมรดกอันใด นอกจากสิ่งมุสา สิ่งไร้ค่า และสิ่งซึ่งไม่มีประโยชน์อะไรในตัว

²⁰Shall a man make to himself gods, which yet are no gods?

²⁰มนุษย์จะสร้างพระไว้สำหรับตนเองได้หรือ สิ่งอย่างนั้นไม่ใช่พระ"

²¹Therefore behold, I will cause them to know, this once will I cause them to know my hand and my might; and they shall know that my name is Yahweh.

²¹"เพราะฉะนั้น ดูเถิด เราจะกระทำให้เขารู้จักกาลครั้งนี้ เราจะกระทำให้เขารู้จักมือของเราและฤทธานุภาพของเรา และเขาทั้งหลายจะรู้ว่านามของเราคือพระเยโฮวาห์"
