1Blow the trumpet in Zion, and sound an alarm in my holy mountain! Let all the inhabitants of the land tremble, for the day of Yahweh comes, for it is close at hand:
1จงเป่าแตรที่ในศิโยน จงเปล่งเสียงปลุกบนภูเขาบริสุทธิ์ของข้าพเจ้า ให้ชาวแผ่นดินทั้งสิ้นตัวสั่น เพราะวันแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์กำลังมาแล้ว ใกล้เข้ามาแล้ว
2A day of darkness and gloominess, a day of clouds and thick darkness. As the dawn spreading on the mountains, a great and strong people; there has never been the like, neither will there be any more after them, even to the years of many generations.
2เป็นวันแห่งความมืดและความมืดครึ้ม เป็นวันที่มีเมฆและความมืดทึบ ประชาชนจำนวนมากและมีกำลังยิ่งปกคลุมอยู่บนภูเขาดำทะมื่นไปหมด ตั้งแต่สมัยโบราณก็ไม่เคยมีเหมือนอย่างนี้ และตั้งแต่นี้ไปก็จะไม่มีอีกตลอดปีทั้งหลายชั่วอายุ
3A fire devours before them, and behind them, a flame burns. The land is as the garden of Eden before them, and behind them, a desolate wilderness. Yes, and no one has escaped them.
3ไฟเผาผลาญอยู่ข้างหน้ามันทั้งหลาย และเปลวไฟไหม้อยู่ข้างหลัง แผ่นดินนั้นเหมือนสวนเอเดนก่อนหน้ามันทั้งหลาย พอให้หลังมันไปแล้วก็เป็นถิ่นทุรกันดารที่รกร้าง ไม่มีอะไรจะรอดพ้นมันเลย
4Their appearance is as the appearance of horses, and as horsemen, so do they run.
4ร่างของมันทั้งหลายเหมือนร่างของพวกม้า มันจะวิ่งเหมือนกับม้าสงคราม
5Like the noise of chariots on the tops of the mountains do they leap, like the noise of a flame of fire that devours the stubble, as a strong people set in battle array.
5เหมือนอย่างเสียงรถรบ มันจะเผ่นอยู่บนยอดเขา เหมือนเสียงแตกของเปลวไฟที่ไหม้ตอข้าว เหมือนกองทัพอันเข้มแข็งแปรกระบวนเข้าสงคราม
6At their presence the peoples are in anguish. All faces have grown pale.
6เมื่อชนชาติทั้งหลายเห็นหน้ามันก็จะกระสับกระส่าย ใบหน้าทุกคนก็จะซีดเซียว
7They run like mighty men. They climb the wall like warriors. They each march in his line, and they don’t swerve off course.
7มันทั้งหลายจะวิ่งเหมือนทหาร และปีนกำแพงเหมือนนักรบ ต่างก็จะเดินไปตามทางของตัว มันจะไม่แตกแถวออกไป
8Neither does one jostle another; they march everyone in his path, and they burst through the defenses, and don’t break ranks.
8มันทั้งหลายจะไม่รวนกันเลย ต่างก็จะเดินอยู่ในทางของตน เมื่อมันตะลุยดาบ มันก็ไม่ได้รับบาดเจ็บ
9They rush on the city. They run on the wall. They climb up into the houses. They enter in at the windows like thieves.
9มันจะกระโดดเข้าในเมือง มันจะวิ่งอยู่บนกำแพงเมือง มันจะปีนเข้าไปในบ้านเรือน มันจะเข้าไปทางหน้าต่างเหมือนกับโจร
10The earth quakes before them. The heavens tremble. The sun and the moon are darkened, and the stars withdraw their shining.
10แผ่นดินโลกจะหวั่นไหวต่อหน้ามัน ฟ้าสวรรค์จะสั่นสะเทือน ดวงอาทิตย์และดวงจันทร์จะมืดไป ดวงดาวจะอับแสง
11Yahweh thunders his voice before his army; for his forces are very great; for he is strong who obeys his command; for the day of Yahweh is great and very awesome, and who can endure it?
11พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงส่งพระสุรเสียงต่อหน้ากองทัพของพระองค์ เพราะค่ายของพระองค์ใหญ่โตยิ่งนัก ผู้ที่กระทำตามพระวจนะของพระองค์นั้นมีเดชานุภาพมาก เพราะว่าวันแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นวันใหญ่โตและน่ากลัวยิ่งนัก ผู้ใดเล่าจะทนอยู่ได้
12“Yet even now,” says Yahweh, “turn to me with all your heart, and with fasting, and with weeping, and with mourning.”
12พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า "ดังนั้น เจ้าทั้งหลายจงกลับมาหาเราเสียเดี๋ยวนี้ด้วยความเต็มใจ ด้วยการอดอาหาร ด้วยการร้องไห้และด้วยการโอดครวญ
13Tear your heart, and not your garments, and turn to Yahweh, your God; for he is gracious and merciful, slow to anger, and abundant in loving kindness, and relents from sending calamity.
13จงฉีกใจของเจ้า มิใช่ฉีกเสื้อผ้าของเจ้า" จงหันกลับมาหาพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านทั้งหลาย เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงกอปรด้วยพระคุณและทรงพระกรุณา ทรงกริ้วช้าและบริบูรณ์ด้วยความเมตตา และทรงกลับพระทัยไม่ลงโทษ
14Who knows? He may turn and relent, and leave a blessing behind him, even a meal offering and a drink offering to Yahweh, your God.
14ใครจะรู้ได้ พระองค์อาจจะทรงกลับและเปลี่ยนพระทัย และทรงอำนวยพระพรไว้ คือให้มีธัญญบูชาและเครื่องดื่มบูชาสำหรับถวายแด่พระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของท่านแล้ว
15Blow the trumpet in Zion! Sanctify a fast. Call a solemn assembly.
15จงเป่าแตรที่ในศิโยน จงเตรียมตัวถืออดอาหาร จงเรียกประชุมอันศักดิ์สิทธิ์
16Gather the people. Sanctify the assembly. Assemble the elders. Gather the children, and those who nurse from breasts. Let the bridegroom go forth from his room, and the bride out of her room.
16จงรวบรวมบรรดาประชาชน จงชำระชุมนุมชนให้บริสุทธิ์ จงประชุมบรรดาผู้ใหญ่ จงรวบรวมเด็กๆ แม้ว่าเด็กที่ยังกินนม จงให้เจ้าบ่าวออกจากเรือนหอ และเจ้าสาวออกจากห้องของตน
17Let the priests, the ministers of Yahweh, weep between the porch and the altar, and let them say, “Spare your people, Yahweh, and don’t give your heritage to reproach, that the nations should rule over them. Why should they say among the peoples, ‘Where is their God?’”
17ให้ปุโรหิต คือผู้ปรนนิบัติพระเยโฮวาห์คร่ำครวญอยู่ระหว่างเฉลียงและแท่นบูชา ให้ทูลว่า "ข้าแต่พระเยโฮวาห์ ขอทรงเวทนาประชาชนของพระองค์ ขออย่าทรงกระทำให้มรดกของพระองค์เป็นที่ประณามกัน เพื่อให้ประชาชาติครอบครองเหนือพวกเขา ควรหรือที่เขาจะกล่าวท่ามกางชนชาติทั้งหลายว่า `พระเจ้าของเขาอยู่ที่ไหน'"
18Then Yahweh was jealous for his land, And had pity on his people.
18แล้วพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงหวงแหนแผ่นดินของพระองค์ และทรงสงสารประชาชนของพระองค์
19Yahweh answered his people, “Behold, I will send you grain, new wine, and oil, and you will be satisfied with them; and I will no more make you a reproach among the nations.
19พระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงตอบประชาชนของพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด เราจะส่งข้าว น้ำองุ่นและน้ำมันให้แก่เจ้า เจ้าทั้งหลายจะได้อิ่มหนำสำราญ เราจะไม่กระทำให้เจ้าเป็นที่เขาประณามกันท่ามกลางประชาชาติต่อไปอีก
20But I will remove the northern army far away from you, and will drive it into a barren and desolate land, its front into the eastern sea, and its back into the western sea; and its stench will come up, and its bad smell will rise.” Surely he has done great things.
20แต่เราจะถอนกองทัพทางทิศเหนือไปให้ห่างไกลจากเจ้า และขับไล่มันเข้าไปในแผ่นดินที่แห้งแล้งและรกร้าง กองหน้าของมันจะหันไปทางทะเลด้านตะวันออก และกองหลังของมันจะหันไปทางทะเลที่อยู่ไกลออกไป กลิ่นเหม็นคลุ้งของมันจะลอยขึ้นมา และกลิ่นเหม็นเน่าของมันจะลอยขึ้นมา เพราะมันทำการใหญ่หลายอย่าง
21Land, don’t be afraid. Be glad and rejoice, for Yahweh has done great things.
21โอ แผ่นดินเอ๋ย อย่ากลัวเลย จงยินดีและเปรมปรีดิ์เถิด เพราะพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงทำการใหญ่โตมาก
22Don’t be afraid, you animals of the field; for the pastures of the wilderness spring up, for the tree bears its fruit. The fig tree and the vine yield their strength.
22เจ้าที่เป็นสัตว์ป่าเอ๋ย อย่ากลัวเลย เพราะว่าทุ่งหญ้าในถิ่นทุรกันดารนั้นเขียวสด ต้นไม้เกิดผล ต้นมะเดื่อและเถาองุ่นออกผลอย่างบริบูรณ์
23“Be glad then, you children of Zion, and rejoice in Yahweh, your God; for he gives you the former rain in just measure, and he causes the rain to come down for you, the former rain and the latter rain, as before.
23โอ บุตรทั้งหลายของศิโยนเอ๋ย จงยินดีเถิด จงเปรมปรีดิ์ในพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงประทานฝนต้นฤดูอย่างพอสมควร พระองค์จะทรงเทฝนลงมาให้เจ้า คือฝนต้นฤดูและฝนชุกปลายฤดูในเดือนแรก
24The threshing floors will be full of wheat, and the vats will overflow with new wine and oil.
24ลานนวดข้าวจะมีข้าวอยู่เต็ม จะมีน้ำองุ่นและน้ำมันอยู่เต็มล้นบ่อเก็บ
25I will restore to you the years that the swarming locust has eaten, the great locust, the grasshopper, and the caterpillar, my great army, which I sent among you.
25เราจะให้บรรดาปีของเจ้าคืนสู่สภาพเดิม คือที่ตั๊กแตนวัยบินได้กินเสีย ที่ตั๊กแตนวัยกระโดด ตั๊กแตนวัยคลาน และตั๊กแตนวัยเดินได้กิน คือกองทัพใหญ่ของเราที่เราส่งมาท่ามกลางเจ้านั้น
26You will have plenty to eat, and be satisfied, and will praise the name of Yahweh, your God, who has dealt wondrously with you; and my people will never again be disappointed.
26เจ้าทั้งหลายจะรับประทานอย่างบริบูรณ์และอิ่มหนำและสรรเสริญพระนามพระเยโฮวาห์พระเจ้าของเจ้า ผู้ทรงกระทำแก่เจ้าอย่างมหัศจรรย์ ประชาชนของเราจะไม่ต้องขายหน้าอีก
27You will know that I am in the midst of Israel, and that I am Yahweh, your God, and there is no one else; and my people will never again be disappointed.
27เจ้าจะรู้ว่าเราอยู่ท่ามกลางอิสราเอล และเรานี่แหละคือพระเยโฮวาห์เป็นพระเจ้าของเจ้าไม่มีอื่นใดอีก ประชาชนของเราจะไม่ต้องขายหน้าอีก
28“It will happen afterward, that I will pour out my Spirit on all flesh; and your sons and your daughters will prophesy. Your old men will dream dreams. Your young men will see visions.
28ต่อมาภายหลังจะเป็นอย่างนี้ คือเราจะเทพระวิญญาณของเรามาเหนือเนื้อหนังทั้งปวง บุตรชายบุตรสาวของเจ้าทั้งหลายจะพยากรณ์ คนชราของเจ้าจะฝันและคนหนุ่มของเจ้าจะเห็นนิมิต
29And also on the servants and on the handmaids in those days, I will pour out my Spirit.
29ในกาลครั้งนั้นเราจะเทพระวิญญาณของเรามาเหนือกระทั่งคนใช้ชายหญิง
30I will show wonders in the heavens and in the earth: blood, fire, and pillars of smoke.
30เราจะสำแดงลางมหัศจรรย์ในท้องฟ้าและบนดิน เป็นเลือดและไฟและลำควัน
31The sun will be turned into darkness, and the moon into blood, before the great and terrible day of Yahweh comes.
31ดวงอาทิตย์จะกลายเป็นความมืด ดวงจันทร์เป็นเลือดก่อนวันใหญ่ยิ่งและน่าสยดสยองแห่งพระเยโฮวาห์จะมาถึง
32It will happen that whoever will call on the name of Yahweh shall be saved; for in Mount Zion and in Jerusalem there will be those who escape, as Yahweh has said, and among the remnant, those whom Yahweh calls.
32และอยู่มาจะเป็นอย่างนี้ คือทุกคนที่จะร้องออกพระนามของพระเยโฮวาห์จะรอดพ้น เพราะจะมีคนรอดพ้นในภูเขาศิโยนและในเยรูซาเล็มตามที่พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสไว้ และในพวกคนที่รอดนั้นจะมีบรรดาบุคคลที่พระเยโฮวาห์ทรงเรียกด้วย"
