¹Now there were some present at the same time who told him about the Galileans, whose blood Pilate had mixed with their sacrifices.

¹ขณะนั้น มีบางคนอยู่ที่นั่นเล่าเรื่องชาวกาลิลี ซึ่งปีลาตเอาโลหิตของเขาระคนกับเครื่องบูชาของเขา ให้พระองค์ฟัง

²Jesus answered them, “Do you think that these Galileans were worse sinners than all the other Galileans, because they suffered such things?

²พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายคิดว่าชาวกาลิลีเหล่านั้นเป็นคนบาปยิ่งกว่าชาวกาลิลีอื่นๆทั้งปวง เพราะว่าเขาได้ทุกข์ทรมานอย่างนั้นหรือ

³ I tell you, no, but unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.

³เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า มิใช่ แต่ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายมิได้กลับใจเสียใหม่ก็จะต้องพินาศเหมือนกัน

⁴ Or those eighteen, on whom the tower in Siloam fell, and killed them; do you think that they were worse offenders than all the men who dwell in Jerusalem?

⁴หรือสิบแปดคนนั้นซึ่งหอรบที่สิโลอัมได้พังทับเขาตายเสียนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายคิดว่า เขาเป็นคนบาปยิ่งกว่าคนทั้งปวงที่อาศัยอยู่ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มหรือ

⁵ I tell you, no, but, unless you repent, you will all perish in the same way.”

⁵เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า มิใช่ แต่ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายมิได้กลับใจเสียใหม่จะต้องพินาศเหมือนกัน"

⁶He spoke this parable. “A certain man had a fig tree planted in his vineyard, and he came seeking fruit on it, and found none.

⁶พระองค์ตรัสคำอุปมาต่อไปนี้ว่า "คนหนึ่งมีต้นมะเดื่อต้นหนึ่งปลูกไว้ในสวนองุ่นของตน และเขามาหาผลที่ต้นนั้นแต่ไม่พบ

⁷ He said to the vine dresser, ‘Behold, these three years I have come looking for fruit on this fig tree, and found none. Cut it down. Why does it waste the soil?’

⁷เขาจึงว่าแก่คนที่รักษาสวนองุ่นว่า `ดูเถิด เรามาหาผลที่ต้นมะเดื่อนี้ได้สามปีแล้ว แต่ไม่พบ จงโค่นมันเสีย จะให้ดินรกไปเปล่าๆทำไม'

⁸ He answered, ‘Lord, leave it alone this year also, until I dig around it, and fertilize it.

⁸แต่ผู้รักษาสวนองุ่นตอบเขาว่า `นายเจ้าข้า ขอเอาไว้ปีนี้อีก ให้ข้าพเจ้าพรวนดินเอาปุ๋ยใส่

⁹ If it bears fruit, fine; but if not, after that, you can cut it down.’”

⁹แล้วถ้ามันเกิดผลก็ดีอยู่ ถ้าไม่เกิดผล ภายหลังท่านจงโค่นมันเสีย'"

¹⁰He was teaching in one of the synagogues on the Sabbath day.

¹⁰พระองค์กำลังทรงสั่งสอนอยู่ที่ธรรมศาลาแห่งหนึ่งในวันสะบาโต

¹¹Behold, there was a woman who had a spirit of infirmity eighteen years, and she was bent over, and could in no way straighten herself up.

¹¹และดูเถิด มีหญิงคนหนึ่งซึ่งมีผีเข้าสิงทำให้พิการมาสิบแปดปีแล้ว หลังโกง ยืดตัวขึ้นไม่ได้เลย

¹²When Jesus saw her, he called her, and said to her, “Woman, you are freed from your infirmity.”

¹²เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นเขา จึงเรียกและตรัสกับเขาว่า "หญิงเอ๋ย ตัวเจ้าหายพ้นจากโรคของเจ้าแล้ว"

¹³He laid his hands on her, and immediately she stood up straight, and glorified God.

¹³พระองค์ทรงวางพระหัตถ์บนเขา และในทันใดนั้นเขาก็ยืดตัวตรงได้ และสรรเสริญพระเจ้า

¹⁴The ruler of the synagogue, being indignant because Jesus had healed on the Sabbath, said to the multitude, “There are six days in which men ought to work. Therefore come on those days and be healed, and not on the Sabbath day!”

¹⁴แต่นายธรรมศาลาก็เคืองใจ เพราะพระเยซูได้ทรงรักษาโรคในวันสะบาโต จึงว่าแก่ประชาชนว่า "มีหกวันที่ควรจะทำงาน เหตุฉะนั้นในหกวันนั้นจงมาให้รักษาโรคเถิด แต่ในวันสะบาโตนั้นอย่าเลย"

¹⁵Therefore the Lord answered him, “You hypocrites! Doesn’t each one of you free his ox or his donkey from the stall on the Sabbath, and lead him away to water?

¹⁵แต่องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าตรัสตอบเขาว่า "โอ คนหน้าซื่อใจคด เจ้าทั้งหลายทุกคนได้แก้วัวแก้ลาจากคอกมันพาไปให้กินน้ำในวันสะบาโตมิใช่หรือ

¹⁶ Ought not this woman, being a daughter of Abraham, whom Satan had bound eighteen long years, be freed from this bondage on the Sabbath day?”

¹⁶ดูเถิด ฝ่ายหญิงผู้นี้เป็นเชื้อสายของอับราฮัม ซึ่งซาตานได้ผูกมัดไว้สิบแปดปีแล้ว ไม่ควรหรือที่จะให้เขาหลุดพ้นจากเครื่องจำจองอันนี้ในวันสะบาโต"

¹⁷As he said these things, all his adversaries were disappointed, and all the multitude rejoiced for all the glorious things that were done by him.

¹⁷เมื่อพระองค์ตรัสคำเหล่านั้นแล้ว บรรดาคนที่เป็นปฏิปักษ์กับพระองค์ต้องขายหน้า และประชาชนทั้งหลายก็เปรมปรีดิ์เพราะสรรพคุณความดีที่พระองค์ได้ทรงกระทำ

¹⁸He said, “What is the Kingdom of God like? To what shall I compare it?

¹⁸พระองค์จึงตรัสว่า "อาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเหมือนสิ่งใด และเราจะเปรียบอาณาจักรนั้นกับอะไรดี

¹⁹ It is like a grain of mustard seed, which a man took, and put in his own garden. It grew, and became a large tree, and the birds of the sky lodged in its branches.”

¹⁹ก็เปรียบเหมือนเมล็ดพันธุ์ผักกาดเมล็ดหนึ่ง ที่คนหนึ่งได้เอาไปปลูกในสวนของตน มันงอกขึ้นเป็นต้นใหญ่ และนกในอากาศมาอาศัยอยู่ตามกิ่งก้านของต้นนั้น"

²⁰ Again he said, “To what shall I compare the Kingdom of God?

²⁰พระองค์ตรัสอีกว่า "เราจะเปรียบอาณาจักรของพระเจ้ากับสิ่งใด

²¹ It is like yeast, which a woman took and hid in three measures literally, three sata. 3 sata is about 39 litres or a bit more than a bushel of flour, until it was all leavened.”

²¹ก็เปรียบเหมือนเชื้อ ซึ่งผู้หญิงคนหนึ่งเอาเจือลงในแป้งสามถังจนแป้งนั้นฟูขึ้นทั้งหมด"

²²He went on his way through cities and villages, teaching, and traveling on to Jerusalem.

²²พระองค์เสด็จไปตามบ้านตามเมืองสั่งสอนเขา และทรงดำเนินไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

²³One said to him, “Lord, are they few who are saved?” He said to them,

²³มีคนหนึ่งทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "พระองค์เจ้าข้า คนที่รอดนั้นน้อยหรือ" พระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาทั้งหลายว่า

²⁴ “Strive to enter in by the narrow door, for many, I tell you, will seek to enter in, and will not be able.

²⁴"จงเพียรเข้าไปทางประตูคับแคบ เพราะเราบอกท่านทั้งหลายว่า คนเป็นอันมากจะพยายามเข้าไป แต่จะเข้าไม่ได้

²⁵ When once the master of the house has risen up, and has shut the door, and you begin to stand outside, and to knock at the door, saying, ‘Lord, Lord, open to us!’ then he will answer and tell you, ‘I don’t know you or where you come from.’

²⁵เมื่อเจ้าบ้านลุกขึ้นปิดประตูแล้ว และท่านทั้งหลายเริ่มยืนอยู่ภายนอกเคาะที่ประตูว่า `นายเจ้าข้าๆ ขอเปิดให้ข้าพเจ้าเถิด' และเจ้าบ้านนั้นจะตอบท่านทั้งหลายว่า `เราไม่รู้จักเจ้าว่าเจ้ามาจากไหน'

²⁶ Then you will begin to say, ‘We ate and drank in your presence, and you taught in our streets.’

²⁶ขณะนั้นท่านทั้งหลายเริ่มจะว่า `ข้าพเจ้าได้กินได้ดื่มกับท่าน และท่านได้สั่งสอนที่ถนนของพวกข้าพเจ้า'

²⁷ He will say, ‘I tell you, I don’t know where you come from. Depart from me, all you workers of iniquity.’

²⁷เจ้าบ้านนั้นจะว่า `เราบอกเจ้าทั้งหลายว่า เราไม่รู้จักเจ้าว่าเจ้ามาจากไหน เจ้าผู้กระทำความชั่วช้า จงไปเสียให้พ้นหน้าเรา'

²⁸ There will be weeping and gnashing of teeth, when you see Abraham, Isaac, Jacob, and all the prophets, in the Kingdom of God, and yourselves being thrown outside.

²⁸เมื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะเห็นอับราฮัม อิสอัค ยาโคบ และบรรดาศาสดาพยากรณ์ในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า แต่ตัวท่านเองถูกขับไล่ไสส่งออกไปภายนอก ที่นั่นจะมีการร้องไห้ขบเขี้ยวเคี้ยวฟัน

²⁹ They will come from the east, west, north, and south, and will sit down in the Kingdom of God.

²⁹จะมีคนมาจากทิศตะวันออก ทิศตะวันตก ทิศเหนือ ทิศใต้ จะมาเอนกายลงในอาณาจักรของพระเจ้า

³⁰ Behold, there are some who are last who will be first, and there are some who are first who will be last.”

³⁰และดูเถิด จะมีผู้ที่เป็นคนสุดท้ายกลับเป็นคนต้น และผู้ที่เป็นคนต้นกลับเป็นคนสุดท้าย"

³¹On that same day, some Pharisees came, saying to him, “Get out of here, and go away, for Herod wants to kill you.”

³¹ในวันนั้นเอง มีพวกฟาริสีบางคนมาทูลพระองค์ว่า "ท่านจงไปจากที่นี่เถิด เพราะว่าเฮโรดจะใคร่ประหารชีวิตของท่านเสีย"

³²He said to them, “Go and tell that fox, ‘Behold, I cast out demons and perform cures today and tomorrow, and the third day I complete my mission.

³²พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงไปบอกสุนัขจิ้งจอกนั้นว่า `ดูเถิด เราขับผีออกและรักษาโรคในวันนี้และพรุ่งนี้ แล้ววันที่สามเราจะทำการให้สำเร็จ'

³³ Nevertheless I must go on my way today and tomorrow and the next day, for it can’t be that a prophet perish outside of Jerusalem.’

³³แต่ว่าจำเป็นซึ่งเราจะเดินไปวันนี้ พรุ่งนี้ และมะรืนนี้ เพราะว่าศาสดาพยากรณ์จะถูกฆ่านอกกรุงเยรูซาเล็มก็หามิได้

³⁴ “Jerusalem, Jerusalem, that kills the prophets, and stones those who are sent to her! How often I wanted to gather your children together, like a hen gathers her own brood under her wings, and you refused!

³⁴โอ เยรูซาเล็ม เยรูซาเล็ม ที่ได้ฆ่าบรรดาศาสดาพยากรณ์และเอาหินขว้างผู้ที่รับใช้มาหาเจ้าให้ถึงตาย เราใคร่จะรวบรวมลูกของเจ้าไว้เนืองๆ เหมือนแม่ไก่กกลูกอยู่ใต้ปีกของมัน แต่เจ้าไม่ยอมเลยหนอ

³⁵ Behold, your house is left to you desolate. I tell you, you will not see me, until you say, ‘Blessed is he who comes in the name of the Lord!’” Psalm 118:26

³⁵ดูเถิด `บ้านเมืองของเจ้าจะถูกละทิ้งให้รกร้างแก่เจ้า' และเราบอกความจริงแก่เจ้าทั้งหลายว่า เจ้าจะไม่เห็นเราอีกจนกว่าเาลานั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อเจ้าจะกล่าวว่า `ขอให้พระองค์ผู้เสด็จมาในพระนามขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงพระเจริญ'"
