¹But on the first day of the week, at early dawn, they and some others came to the tomb, bringing the spices which they had prepared.

²They found the stone rolled away from the tomb.

³They entered in, and didn’t find the Lord Jesus’ body.

³และเมื่อเข้าไปมิได้เห็นพระศพของพระเยซูเจ้า

⁴It happened, while they were greatly perplexed about this, behold, two men stood by them in dazzling clothing.

⁴ต่อมาเมื่อเขากำลังคิดฉงนด้วยเหตุการณ์นั้น ดูเถิด มีชายสองคนยืนอยู่ใกล้เขา เครื่องนุ่งห่มแพรวพราว

⁵Becoming terrified, they bowed their faces down to the earth. They said to them, “Why do you seek the living among the dead?

⁵ฝ่ายผู้หญิงเหล่านั้นกลัวและซบหน้าลงถึงดิน ชายสองคนนั้นจึงพูดกับเขาว่า "พวกท่านแสวงหาคนเป็นในพวกคนตายทำไมเล่า

⁶He isn’t here, but is risen. Remember what he told you when he was still in Galilee,

⁶พระองค์ไม่อยู่ที่นี่ แต่ทรงเป็นขึ้นมาแล้ว จงระลึกถึงคำที่พระองค์ได้ตรัสกับท่านทั้งหลายเมื่อพระองค์ยังอยู่ในแคว้นกาลิลี

⁷saying that the Son of Man must be delivered up into the hands of sinful men, and be crucified, and the third day rise again?”

⁷ว่า `บุตรมนุษย์จะต้องถูกมอบไว้ในมือของคนบาป และต้องถูกตรึงที่กางเขน และวันที่สามจะเป็นขึ้นมาใหม่'"

⁸They remembered his words,

⁸เขาจึงระลึกถึงพระดำรัสของพระองค์ได้

⁹returned from the tomb, and told all these things to the eleven, and to all the rest.

⁹และกลับไปจากอุโมงค์ แล้วบอกเหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงนั้นแก่สาวกสิบเอ็ดคน และคนอื่นๆทั้งหมดด้วย

¹⁰Now they were Mary Magdalene, Joanna, and Mary the mother of James. The other women with them told these things to the apostles.

¹⁰ผู้ที่ได้บอกเหตุการณ์นั้นแก่อัครสาวก คือมารีย์ชาวมักดาลา โยอันนา มารีย์มารดาของยากอบ และหญิงอื่นๆที่อยู่กับเขา

¹¹These words seemed to them to be nonsense, and they didn’t believe them.

¹¹ฝ่ายอัครสาวกไม่เชื่อ ถือว่าเป็นคำเหลวไหล

¹²But Peter got up and ran to the tomb. Stooping and looking in, he saw the strips of linen lying by themselves, and he departed to his home, wondering what had happened.

¹²แต่เปโตรลุกขึ้นวิ่งไปถึงอุโมงค์ ก้มลงมองดูก็เห็นแต่ผ้าป่านวางอยู่ต่างหาก แล้วกลับไปคิดพิศวงถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งได้เป็นไปนั้น

¹³Behold, two of them were going that very day to a village named Emmaus, which was sixty stadia 60 stadia = about 11 kilometers or about 7 miles. from Jerusalem.

¹³ดูเถิด วันนั้นเองมีสาวกสองคนไปยังหมู่บ้านชื่อเอมมาอูส ไกลจากกรุงเยรูซาเล็มประมาณสิบเอ็ดกิโลเมตร

¹⁴They talked with each other about all of these things which had happened.

¹⁴เขาสนทนากันถึงเหตุการณ์ซึ่งได้เป็นไปนั้น

¹⁵It happened, while they talked and questioned together, that Jesus himself came near, and went with them.

¹⁵และต่อมาเมื่อเขากำลังพูดปรึกษากันอยู่ พระเยซูเองก็เสด็จเข้ามาใกล้ดำเนินไปกับเขา

¹⁶But their eyes were kept from recognizing him.

¹⁶แต่ตาเขาฟางไปและจำพระองค์ไม่ได้

¹⁷He said to them, “What are you talking about as you walk, and are sad?”

¹⁷พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "เมื่อเดินมานี่ด้วยหน้าโศกเศร้า ท่านโต้ตอบกันถึงเรื่องอะไร"

¹⁸One of them, named Cleopas, answered him, “Are you the only stranger in Jerusalem who doesn’t know the things which have happened there in these days?”

¹⁸คนหนึ่งชื่อเคลโอปัสจึงทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "ท่านเป็นเพียงแต่คนต่างด้าวในกรุงเยรูซาเล็มหรือ ที่ไม่รู้เหตุการณ์ทั้งปวงซึ่งเป็นไปในวันเหล่านี้"

¹⁹He said to them, “What things?” They said to him, “The things concerning Jesus, the Nazarene, who was a prophet mighty in deed and word before God and all the people;

¹⁹พระองค์ตรัสถามเขาว่า "เหตุการณ์อะไร" เขาจึงตอบพระองค์ว่า "เหตุการณ์เรื่องพระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ ผู้เป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์ ประกอบด้วยฤทธิ์เดชในการงานและในถ้อยคำจำเพาะพระพักตร์พระเจ้า และต่อหน้าประชาชนทั้งหลาย

²⁰and how the chief priests and our rulers delivered him up to be condemned to death, and crucified him.

²⁰และพวกปุโรหิตใหญ่กับขุนนางทั้งหลายของเรา ได้มอบพระองค์ไว้ให้ปรับโทษถึงตาย และตรึงพระองค์ที่กางเขน

²¹But we were hoping that it was he who would redeem Israel. Yes, and besides all this, it is now the third day since these things happened.

²¹แต่เราทั้งหลายได้หวังใจว่าจะเป็นพระองค์ผู้นั้นที่จะไถ่ชนชาติอิสราเอล ยิ่งกว่านั้นอีก วันนี้เป็นวันที่สามตั้งแต่เหตุการณ์นั้นเกิดขึ้น

²²Also, certain women of our company amazed us, having arrived early at the tomb;

²²และยังมีผู้หญิงบางคนในพวกเราที่ได้ทำให้เราประหลาดใจ นางได้ไปที่อุโมงค์เมื่อเวลาเช้ามืด

²³and when they didn’t find his body, they came saying that they had also seen a vision of angels, who said that he was alive.

²³แต่เมื่อไม่พบพระศพของพระองค์ จึงมาเล่าว่านางได้เห็นนิมิตเป็นทูตสวรรค์ และทูตนั้นบอกว่าพระองค์ทรงพระชนม์อยู่

²⁴Some of us went to the tomb, and found it just like the women had said, but they didn’t see him.”

²⁴บางคนที่อยู่กับเราก็ไปจนถึงอุโมงค์ และได้พบเหมือนพวกผู้หญิงเหล่านั้นได้บอก แต่เขาหาได้เห็นพระองค์ไม่"

²⁵He said to them, “Foolish men, and slow of heart to believe in all that the prophets have spoken!

²⁵พระองค์ตรัสแก่สองคนนั้นว่า "โอ คนเขลา และมีใจเฉื่อยในการเชื่อบรรดาคำซึ่งพวกศาสดาพยากรณ์ได้กล่าวไว้นั้น

²⁶ Didn’t the Christ have to suffer these things and to enter into his glory?”

²⁶จำเป็นซึ่งพระคริสต์จะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมานอย่างนั้น แล้วเข้าในสง่าราศีของพระองค์มิใช่หรือ"

²⁷Beginning from Moses and from all the prophets, he explained to them in all the Scriptures the things concerning himself.

²⁷พระองค์จึงทรงเริ่มอธิบายพระคัมภีร์ที่เล็งถึงพระองค์ทุกข้อให้เขาฟัง เริ่มต้นตั้งแต่โมเสสและบรรดาศาสดาพยากรณ์

²⁸They drew near to the village, where they were going, and he acted like he would go further.

²⁸เมื่อเขามาใกล้หมู่บ้านที่จะไปนั้น พระองค์ทรงกระทำเหมือนจะทรงดำเนินเลยไป

²⁹They urged him, saying, “Stay with us, for it is almost evening, and the day is almost over.” He went in to stay with them.

²⁹เขาจึงพูดหน่วงเหนี่ยวพระองค์ว่า "เชิญหยุดพักกับเรา เพราะว่าจวนเย็นแล้ว และวันก็ล่วงไปมาก" พระองค์จึงเสด็จเข้าไปเพื่อพักอยู่กับเขา

³⁰It happened, that when he had sat down at the table with them, he took the bread and gave thanks. Breaking it, he gave to them.

³⁰ต่อมาเมื่อพระองค์ทรงเอนพระกายลงเสวยกับเขา พระองค์ทรงหยิบขนมปัง ขอบพระคุณ แล้วหักส่งให้เขา

³¹Their eyes were opened, and they recognized him, and he vanished out of their sight.

³¹ตาของเขาก็หายฟางและเขาก็รู้จักพระองค์ แล้วพระองค์ก็อันตรธานไปจากเขา

³²They said one to another, “Weren’t our hearts burning within us, while he spoke to us along the way, and while he opened the Scriptures to us?”

³²เขาจึงพูดกันว่า "ใจเราเร่าร้อนภายใน เมื่อพระองค์ตรัสกับเราตามทาง เมื่อพระองค์ทรงอธิบายพระคัมภีร์ให้เราฟังมิใช่หรือ"

³³They rose up that very hour, returned to Jerusalem, and found the eleven gathered together, and those who were with them,

³³แล้วคนทั้งสองนั้นก็ลุกขึ้นในโมงนั้นเองกลับไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และพบพวกสาวกสิบเอ็ดคนชุมนุมกันอยู่พร้อมทั้งพรรคพวก

³⁴saying, “The Lord is risen indeed, and has appeared to Simon!”

³⁴กำลังพูดกันว่า "องค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าทรงเป็นขึ้นมาแล้วจริงๆ และได้ปรากฏแก่ซีโมน"

³⁵They related the things that happened along the way, and how he was recognized by them in the breaking of the bread.

³⁵ฝ่ายสองคนนั้นจึงเล่าความซึ่งเกิดขึ้นที่กลางทาง และที่เขาได้รู้จักพระองค์โดยการหักขนมปังนั้น

³⁶As they said these things, Jesus himself stood among them, and said to them, “Peace be to you.”

³⁶เมื่อเขาทั้งสองกำลังเล่าเหตุการณ์เหล่านั้น พระเยซูเองทรงยืนอยู่ที่ท่ามกลางเขา และตรัสกับเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายจงเป็นสุขเถิด"

³⁷But they were terrified and filled with fear, and supposed that they had seen a spirit.

³⁷ฝ่ายเขาทั้งหลายสะดุ้งตกใจกลัวคิดว่าเห็นผี

³⁸He said to them, “Why are you troubled? Why do doubts arise in your hearts?

³⁸พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายวุ่นวายใจทำไม เหตุไฉนความคิดสนเท่ห์จึงบังเกิดขึ้นในใจของท่านทั้งหลายเล่า

³⁹ See my hands and my feet, that it is truly me. Touch me and see, for a spirit doesn’t have flesh and bones, as you see that I have.”

³⁹จงดูมือของเราและเท้าของเราว่า เป็นเราเอง จงคลำตัวเราดู เพราะว่าผีไม่มีเนื้อและกระดูกเหมือนท่านเห็นเรามีอยู่นั้น"

⁴⁰When he had said this, he showed them his hands and his feet.

⁴⁰เมื่อตรัสอย่างนั้นแล้ว พระองค์ทรงสำแดงพระหัตถ์และพระบาทให้เขาเห็น

⁴¹While they still didn’t believe for joy, and wondered, he said to them, “Do you have anything here to eat?”

⁴¹เมื่อเขาทั้งหลายยังไม่ปลงใจเชื่อ เพราะเป็นเรื่องน่ายินดีอย่างเหลือเชื่อ และกำลังประหลาดใจอยู่ พระองค์จึงตรัสถามเขาว่า "พวกท่านมีอาหารกินที่นี่บ้างหรือ"

⁴²They gave him a piece of a broiled fish and some honeycomb.

⁴²เขาก็เอาปลาย่างชิ้นหนึ่งกับรวงผึ้งชิ้นหนึ่งมาถวายพระองค์

⁴³He took them, and ate in front of them.

⁴³พระองค์ทรงรับมาเสวยต่อหน้าเขาทั้งหลาย

⁴⁴He said to them, “This is what I told you, while I was still with you, that all things which are written in the law of Moses, the prophets, and the psalms, concerning me must be fulfilled.”

⁴⁴พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "นี่เป็นถ้อยคำของเรา ซึ่งเราได้บอกไว้แก่ท่านทั้งหลายเมื่อเรายังอยู่กับท่านว่า บรรดาคำที่เขียนไว้ในพระราชบัญญัติของโมเสส และในคัมภีร์ศาสดาพยากรณ์ และในหนังสือสดุดีกล่าวถึงเรานั้น จำเป็นจะต้องสำเร็จ"

⁴⁵Then he opened their minds, that they might understand the Scriptures.

⁴⁵ครั้งนั้น พระองค์ทรงบันดาลให้ใจเขาทั้งหลายเกิดความสว่างขึ้นเพื่อจะได้เข้าใจพระคัมภีร์

⁴⁶He said to them, “Thus it is written, and thus it was necessary for the Christ to suffer and to rise from the dead the third day,

⁴⁶พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาว่า "มีคำเขียนไว้อย่างนั้นว่า พระคริสต์จะต้องทนทุกข์ทรมาน และเป็นขึ้นมาจากความตายในวันที่สาม

⁴⁷ and that repentance and remission of sins should be preached in his name to all the nations, beginning at Jerusalem.

⁴⁷และจะต้องประกาศในพระนามของพระองค์เรื่องการกลับใจใหม่ และเรื่องยกบาปทั่วทุกประเทศ ตั้งต้นที่กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม

⁴⁸ You are witnesses of these things.

⁴⁸ท่านทั้งหลายเป็นพยานด้วยข้อความเหล่านั้น

⁴⁹ Behold, I send forth the promise of my Father on you. But wait in the city of Jerusalem until you are clothed with power from on high.”

⁴⁹และดูเถิด เราจะส่งซึ่งพระบิดาของเราทรงสัญญานั้นมาเหนือท่านทั้งหลาย แต่ท่านทั้งหลายจงคอยอยู่ในกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม กว่าท่านจะได้ประกอบด้วยฤทธิ์เดชที่มาจากเบื้องบน"

⁵⁰He led them out as far as Bethany, and he lifted up his hands, and blessed them.

⁵⁰พระองค์จึงพาเขาออกไปถึงหมู่บ้านเบธานี แล้วทรงยกพระหัตถ์ อวยพรเขา

⁵¹It happened, while he blessed them, that he withdrew from them, and was carried up into heaven.

⁵¹ต่อมาเมื่อทรงอวยพรอยู่นั้น พระองค์จึงไปจากเขา แล้วทรงถูกรับขึ้นไปสู่สวรรค์

⁵²They worshiped him, and returned to Jerusalem with great joy,

⁵²เขาทั้งหลายจึงนมัสการพระองค์ แล้วกลับไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม มีความยินดีเป็นอันมาก

⁵³and were continually in the temple, praising and blessing God. Amen.

⁵³เขาทั้งหลายอยู่ในพระวิหารทุกวัน สรรเสริญและเทิดทูนพระเจ้า เอเมน
