¹Jesus, full of the Holy Spirit, returned from the Jordan, and was led by the Spirit into the wilderness

¹พระเยซูประกอบด้วยพระวิญญาณบริสุทธิ์ได้เสด็จกลับไปจากแม่น้ำจอร์แดน และพระวิญญาณได้ทรงนำพระองค์ไปในถิ่นทุรกันดาร

²for forty days, being tempted by the devil. He ate nothing in those days. Afterward, when they were completed, he was hungry.

²ทรงถูกพญามารทดลองถึงสี่สิบวัน ในวันเหล่านั้นพระองค์มิได้เสวยอะไรเลย และเมื่อสิ้นสี่สิบวันแล้ว พระองค์ทรงอยากพระกระยาหาร

³The devil said to him, “If you are the Son of God, command this stone to become bread.”

³พญามารจึงทูลพระองค์ว่า "ถ้าท่านเป็นพระบุตรของพระเจ้า จงสั่งก้อนหินนี้ให้กลายเป็นขนมปัง"

⁴Jesus answered him, saying, “It is written, ‘Man shall not live by bread alone, but by every word of God.’” Deuteronomy 8:3

⁴ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสตอบมารว่า "มีพระคัมภีร์เขียนไว้ว่า `มนุษย์จะบำรุงชีวิตด้วยอาหารสิ่งเดียวก็หามิได้ แต่บำรุงด้วยพระวจนะทุกคำของพระเจ้า'"

⁵The devil, leading him up on a high mountain, showed him all the kingdoms of the world in a moment of time.

⁵แล้วพญามารจึงนำพระองค์ขึ้นไปยังภูเขาที่สูง สำแดงบรรดาราชอาณาจักรทั่วพิภพในขณะเดียวให้พระองค์ทอดพระเนตร

⁶The devil said to him, “I will give you all this authority, and their glory, for it has been delivered to me; and I give it to whomever I want.

⁶แล้วพญามารได้ทูลพระองค์ว่า "อำนาจทั้งสิ้นนี้และสง่าราศีของราชอาณาจักรนั้นเราจะยกให้แก่ท่าน เพราะว่ามอบเป็นสิทธิไว้แก่เราแล้ว และเราปรารถนาจะให้แก่ผู้ใดก็จะให้แก่ผู้นั้น

⁷If you therefore will worship before me, it will all be yours.”

⁷เหตุฉะนั้น ถ้าท่านจะกราบนมัสการเรา สรรพสิ่งนั้นจะเป็นของท่านทั้งหมด"

⁸Jesus answered him, “Get behind me Satan! For it is written, ‘You shall worship the Lord your God, and you shall serve him only.’” Deuteronomy 6:13

⁸ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสตอบมารว่า "อ้ายซาตาน จงไปให้พ้น มีพระคัมภีร์เขียนไว้ว่า `จงนมัสการองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของท่าน และปรนนิบัติพระองค์แต่ผู้เดียว'"

⁹He led him to Jerusalem, and set him on the pinnacle of the temple, and said to him, “If you are the Son of God, cast yourself down from here,

⁹แล้วมารจึงนำพระองค์ไปยังกรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และให้พระองค์ประทับอยู่ที่ยอดหลังคาพระวิหาร แล้วทูลพระองค์ว่า "ถ้าท่านเป็นพระบุตรพระเจ้า จงโจนลงไปจากที่นี่เถิด

¹⁰for it is written, ‘He will put his angels in charge of you, to guard you;’

¹⁰เพราะพระคัมภีร์มีเขียนไว้ว่า `พระองค์จะรับสั่งเหล่าทูตสวรรค์ของพระองค์ให้ป้องกันรักษาท่านไว้'

¹¹and, ‘On their hands they will bear you up, lest perhaps you dash your foot against a stone.’” Psalm 91:11-12

¹¹และ `เหล่าทูตสวรรค์จะเอามือประคองชูท่านไว้ เกรงว่าในเวลาหนึ่งเวลาใดเท้าของท่านจะกระแทกหิน'"

¹²Jesus answering, said to him, “It has been said, ‘You shall not tempt the Lord your God.’” Deuteronomy 6:16

¹²พระเยซูจึงตรัสตอบมารว่า "มีคำกล่าวไว้ว่า `อย่าทดลององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าผู้เป็นพระเจ้าของท่าน'"

¹³When the devil had completed every temptation, he departed from him until another time.

¹³เมื่อพญามารทำการทดลองทุกอย่างสิ้นแล้ว จึงละพระองค์ไปชั่วคราว

¹⁴Jesus returned in the power of the Spirit into Galilee, and news about him spread through all the surrounding area.

¹⁴พระเยซูได้เสด็จกลับไปด้วยฤทธิ์เดชแห่งพระวิญญาณยังแคว้นกาลิลี และกิตติศัพท์ของพระองค์เลื่องลือไปตามถิ่นโดยรอบ

¹⁵He taught in their synagogues, being glorified by all.

¹⁵พระองค์ทรงสั่งสอนในธรรมศาลาต่างๆของเขา และได้รับความสรรเสริญจากคนทั้งปวง

¹⁶He came to Nazareth, where he had been brought up. He entered, as was his custom, into the synagogue on the Sabbath day, and stood up to read.

¹⁶แล้วพระองค์เสด็จมาถึงเมืองนาซาเร็ธ เป็นที่ซึ่งพระองค์ทรงเจริญวัยขึ้น พระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในธรรมศาลาในวันสะบาโตตามเคย และทรงยืนขึ้นเพื่อจะอ่านพระคัมภีร์

¹⁷The book of the prophet Isaiah was handed to him. He opened the book, and found the place where it was written,

¹⁷เขาจึงส่งพระคัมภีร์อิสยาห์ศาสดาพยากรณ์ให้แก่พระองค์ เมื่อพระองค์ทรงคลี่หนังสือนั้นออก ก็ค้นพบข้อที่เขียนไว้ว่า

¹⁸ “The Spirit of the Lord is on me, because he has anointed me to preach good news to the poor. He has sent me to heal the brokenhearted, NU omits “to heal the brokenhearted” to proclaim release to the captives, recovering of sight to the blind, to deliver those who are crushed,

¹⁸`พระวิญญาณแห่งองค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้าสถิตอยู่บนข้าพเจ้า เพราะว่าพระองค์ได้ทรงเจิมตั้งข้าพเจ้าไว้ให้ประกาศข่าวประเสริฐแก่คนยากจน พระองค์ได้ทรงใช้ข้าพเจ้าให้รักษาคนที่ชอกช้ำระกำใจ ให้ร้องประกาศอิสรภาพแก่บรรดาเชลย ให้ประกาศแก่คนตาบอดว่าจะได้เห็นอีก ให้ปล่อยผู้ถูกบีบบังคับเป็นอิสระ

¹⁹ and to proclaim the acceptable year of the Lord.” Isaiah 61:1-2

¹⁹และให้ประกาศปีแห่งความโปรดปรานขององค์พระผู้เป็นเจ้า'

²⁰He closed the book, gave it back to the attendant, and sat down. The eyes of all in the synagogue were fastened on him.

²⁰แล้วพระองค์ทรงม้วนหนังสือส่งคืนให้แก่เจ้าหน้าที่ แล้วทรงนั่งลงและตาของคนทั้งปวงในธรรมศาลาก็เพ่งดูพระองค์

²¹He began to tell them, “Today, this Scripture has been fulfilled in your hearing.”

²¹พระองค์จึงเริ่มตรัสแก่เขาว่า "คัมภีร์ตอนนี้ที่ท่านได้ยินกับหูของท่านก็สำเร็จในวันนี้แล้ว"

²²All testified about him, and wondered at the gracious words which proceeded out of his mouth, and they said, “Isn’t this Joseph’s son?”

²²คนทั้งปวงก็เป็นพยานรับรองคำของพระองค์ และประหลาดใจด้วยถ้อยคำอันประกอบด้วยคุณซึ่งออกมาจากพระโอษฐ์ของพระองค์ และว่า "คนนี้เป็นบุตรชายของโยเซฟมิใช่หรือ"

²³He said to them, “Doubtless you will tell me this parable, ‘Physician, heal yourself! Whatever we have heard done at Capernaum, do also here in your hometown.’”

²³พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายจะกล่าวคำสุภาษิตข้อนี้แก่เราเป็นแน่ คือว่า `หมอจงรักษาตัวเองเถิด คือบรรดาการซึ่งเราได้ยินว่า ท่านได้กระทำในเมืองคาเปอรนาอุม จงกระทำในเมืองของตนที่นี่ด้วย'"

²⁴He said, “Most certainly I tell you, no prophet is acceptable in his hometown.

²⁴พระองค์ตรัสว่า "เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า ไม่มีศาสดาพยากรณ์คนใดได้รับการต้อนรับในเมืองของตน

²⁵ But truly I tell you, there were many widows in Israel in the days of Elijah, when the sky was shut up three years and six months, when a great famine came over all the land.

²⁵แต่เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านทั้งหลายว่า มีหญิงม่ายหลายคนในพวกอิสราเอลคราวเอลียาห์ เมื่อท้องฟ้าปิดเสียถึงสามปีกับหกเดือนจึงเกิดกันดารอาหารมากทั่วแผ่นดิน

²⁶ Elijah was sent to none of them, except to Zarephath, in the land of Sidon, to a woman who was a widow.

²⁶และเอลียาห์มิได้รับใช้ให้ไปหาหญิงม่ายคนใด เว้นแต่หญิงม่ายคนหนึ่งในบ้านศาเรฟัทแคว้นเมืองไซดอน

²⁷ There were many lepers in Israel in the time of Elisha the prophet, yet not one of them was cleansed, except Naaman, the Syrian.”

²⁷และมีคนโรคเรื้อนหลายคนในพวกอิสราเอลคราวเอลีชาศาสดาพยากรณ์ แต่ไม่มีผู้ใดได้รับการรักษาให้หายโรคนั้นเลย เว้นแต่นาอามานชาวซีเรีย"

²⁸They were all filled with wrath in the synagogue, as they heard these things.

²⁸เมื่อคนทั้งปวงในธรรมศาลาได้ยินดังนั้นก็โกรธยิ่งนัก

²⁹They rose up, threw him out of the city, and led him to the brow of the hill that their city was built on, that they might throw him off the cliff.

²⁹จึงลุกขึ้นผลักพระองค์ออกจากเมือง พาไปยังแง่ของเงื้อมเขาที่เมืองของเขา ซึ่งตั้งอยู่บนเนินนั้น หมายจะผลักพระองค์ลงไป

³⁰But he, passing through their midst, went his way.

³⁰แต่พระองค์ทรงดำเนินผ่านท่ามกลางเขาพ้นไป

³¹He came down to Capernaum, a city of Galilee. He was teaching them on the Sabbath day,

³¹พระองค์เสด็จลงไปถึงเมืองคาเปอรนาอุมแคว้นกาลิลี และได้สั่งสอนเขาทั้งหลายทุกวันสะบาโต

³²and they were astonished at his teaching, for his word was with authority.

³²คนทั้งปวงก็อัศจรรย์ใจด้วยการสอนของพระองค์ เพราะคำของพระองค์ประกอบด้วยอำนาจ

³³In the synagogue there was a man who had a spirit of an unclean demon, and he cried out with a loud voice,

³³มีชายคนหนึ่งในธรรมศาลาที่มีผีโสโครกเข้าสิง เขาร้องเสียงดัง

³⁴saying, “Ah! what have we to do with you, Jesus of Nazareth? Have you come to destroy us? I know you who you are: the Holy One of God!”

³⁴กล่าวว่า "ไฮ้ พระเยซูชาวนาซาเร็ธ ปล่อยเราไว้ ท่านมายุ่งกับเราทำไม ท่านมาทำลายพวกเราหรือ เรารู้ว่าท่านเป็นผู้ใด ท่านคือองค์บริสุทธิ์ของพระเจ้า"

³⁵Jesus rebuked him, saying, “Be silent, and come out of him!” When the demon had thrown him down in their midst, he came out of him, having done him no harm.

³⁵พระเยซูจึงตรัสห้ามมันว่า "จงนิ่งเสีย ออกมาจากเขาซิ" เมื่อผีนั้นได้ทำให้เขาล้มลงท่ามกลางประชาชนแล้ว ก็ออกมาจากเขา แต่มิได้ทำอันตรายเขาเลย

³⁶Amazement came on all, and they spoke together, one with another, saying, “What is this word? For with authority and power he commands the unclean spirits, and they come out!”

³⁶คนทั้งปวงก็ประหลาดใจนักพูดกันว่า "คำนี้เป็นอย่างไรหนอ เพราะว่าท่านได้สั่งผีโสโครกด้วยสิทธิอำนาจและด้วยฤทธิ์เดช มันก็ออกมา"

³⁷News about him went out into every place of the surrounding region.

³⁷กิตติศัพท์ของพระองค์จึงได้เลื่องลือไปทุกตำบลที่อยู่รอบนั้น

³⁸He rose up from the synagogue, and entered into Simon’s house. Simon’s mother-in-law was afflicted with a great fever, and they begged him for her.

³⁸ฝ่ายพระองค์ทรงลุกขึ้นออกจากธรรมศาลา เสด็จเข้าไปในเรือนของซีโมน แม่ยายซีโมนป่วยเป็นไข้หนัก เขาทั้งหลายจึงอ้อนวอนพระองค์ให้ช่วยหญิงนั้น

³⁹He stood over her, and rebuked the fever; and it left her. Immediately she rose up and served them.

³⁹พระองค์ทรงยืนอยู่ข้างคนเจ็บ ทรงห้ามไข้ ไข้ก็หาย และในทันใดนั้นแม่ยายของซีโมนก็ลุกขึ้นปรนนิบัติเขาทั้งหลาย

⁴⁰When the sun was setting, all those who had any sick with various diseases brought them to him; and he laid his hands on every one of them, and healed them.

⁴⁰ครั้นเวลาตะวันยอแสง ใครมีคนเจ็บเป็นโรคต่างๆก็พามาหาพระองค์ พระองค์ก็ทรงวางพระหัตถ์ถูกต้องเขาทุกคน ให้เขาหายโรค

⁴¹Demons also came out from many, crying out, and saying, “You are the Christ, the Son of God!” Rebuking them, he didn’t allow them to speak, because they knew that he was the Christ.

⁴¹ผีก็ออกมาจากคนหลายคนด้วย ร้องว่า "ท่านเป็นพระคริสต์พระบุตรของพระเจ้า" ฝ่ายพระองค์ก็ทรงห้ามมิให้มันพูด เพราะว่ามันรู้แล้วว่าพระองค์เป็นพระคริสต์

⁴²When it was day, he departed and went into an uninhabited place, and the multitudes looked for him, and came to him, and held on to him, so that he wouldn’t go away from them.

⁴²ครั้นรุ่งเช้าพระองค์เสด็จออกไปยังที่เปลี่ยว ประชาชนเที่ยวเสาะหาพระองค์ ครั้นพบแล้วก็หน่วงเหนี่ยวพระองค์ไว้ไม่ให้ไปจากเขา

⁴³But he said to them, “I must preach the good news of the Kingdom of God to the other cities also. For this reason I have been sent.”

⁴³แต่พระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "เราต้องไปประกาศเรื่องอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าแก่เมืองอื่นด้วย เพราะว่าที่เราได้รับใช้มาก็เพราะเหตุนี้เอง"

⁴⁴He was preaching in the synagogues of Galilee.

⁴⁴พระองค์ทรงประกาศในธรรมศาลาทั่วแคว้นกาลิลี
