¹Now it happened on the second Sabbath after the first, that he was going through the grain fields. His disciples plucked the heads of grain, and ate, rubbing them in their hands.

¹ต่อมาในวันสะบาโตวันที่สอง หลังจากวันแรกนั้น พระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปที่ในนา และพวกสาวกของพระองค์ก็เด็ดรวงข้าวขยี้กิน

²But some of the Pharisees said to them, “Why do you do that which is not lawful to do on the Sabbath day?”

²บางคนในพวกฟาริสีจึงกล่าวแก่เขาว่า "ทำไมพวกท่านจึงทำการซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไว้ในวันสะบาโต"

³Jesus, answering them, said, “Haven’t you read what David did when he was hungry, he, and those who were with him;

³พระเยซูตรัสตอบเขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายยังไม่ได้อ่านเรื่องนี้อีกหรือ ที่ดาวิดได้กระทำเมื่ออดอยาก ทั้งท่านและพรรคพวกด้วย

⁴ how he entered into God’s house, and took and ate the show bread, and gave also to those who were with him, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests alone?”

⁴คือท่านได้เข้าไปในพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า และรับประทานขนมปังหน้าพระพักตร์ทั้งให้พรรคพวกด้วย ซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไม่ให้ใครรับประทานเว้นแต่พวกปุโรหิตเท่านั้น"

⁵He said to them, “The Son of Man is lord of the Sabbath.”

⁵พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "บุตรมนุษย์เป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่เหนือวันสะบาโตด้วย"

⁶It also happened on another Sabbath that he entered into the synagogue and taught. There was a man there, and his right hand was withered.

⁶ต่อมาในวันสะบาโตอีกวันหนึ่ง พระองค์เสด็จเข้าไปในธรรมศาลาและสั่งสอน ที่นั่นมีชายคนหนึ่งมือขวาลีบ

⁷The scribes and the Pharisees watched him, to see whether he would heal on the Sabbath, that they might find an accusation against him.

⁷ฝ่ายพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสีคอยดูพระองค์ว่า พระองค์จะทรงรักษาเขาในวันสะบาโตหรือไม่ เพื่อจะหาเหตุฟ้องพระองค์ได้

⁸But he knew their thoughts; and he said to the man who had the withered hand, “Rise up, and stand in the middle.” He arose and stood.

⁸แต่พระองค์ทรงทราบความคิดของเขา จึงตรัสแก่คนมือลีบนั้นว่า "จงลุกขึ้นมายืนอยู่ข้างหน้า" เขาก็ลุกขึ้นยืน

⁹Then Jesus said to them, “I will ask you something: Is it lawful on the Sabbath to do good, or to do harm? To save a life, or to kill?”

⁹แล้วพระเยซูตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายว่า "เราจะถามท่านทั้งหลายว่า ในวันสะบาโตถูกต้องตามพระราชบัญญัติทำการดีหรือทำการร้าย จะช่วยชีวิตดีหรือจะผลาญชีวิตเสียดี"

¹⁰He looked around at them all, and said to the man, “Stretch out your hand.” He did, and his hand was restored as sound as the other.

¹⁰พระองค์จึงทอดพระเนตรดูทุกคนโดยรอบ แล้วตรัสกับคนมือลีบนั้นว่า "จงเหยียดมือออกเถิด" เขาก็กระทำตาม และมือของเขาก็หายเป็นปกติเหมือนมืออีกข้างหนึ่ง

¹¹But they were filled with rage, and talked with one another about what they might do to Jesus.

¹¹แต่คนเหล่านั้นต่างก็มีความเดือดดาล และปรึกษากันว่าจะกระทำอย่างไรแก่พระเยซูได้

¹²It happened in these days, that he went out to the mountain to pray, and he continued all night in prayer to God.

¹²ต่อมาคราวนั้นพระองค์เสด็จไปที่ภูเขาเพื่อจะอธิษฐาน และได้อธิษฐานต่อพระเจ้าคืนยังรุ่ง

¹³When it was day, he called his disciples, and from them he chose twelve, whom he also named apostles:

¹³ครั้นรุ่งเช้าแล้วพระองค์ทรงเรียกสาวกของพระองค์ แล้วทรงเลือกสิบสองคนออกจากหมู่สาวกนั้น ที่พระองค์ทรงเรียกว่า อัครสาวก

¹⁴Simon, whom he also named Peter; Andrew, his brother; James; John; Philip; Bartholomew;

¹⁴คือซีโมน (ที่พระองค์ทรงให้ชื่ออีกว่า เปโตร) อันดรูว์น้องชายของเปโตร ยากอบและยอห์น ฟีลิปและบารโธโลมิว

¹⁵Matthew; Thomas; James, the son of Alphaeus; Simon, who was called the Zealot;

¹⁵มัทธิวและโธมัส ยากอบบุตรชายของอัลเฟอัส ซีโมนที่เรียกว่า เศโลเท

¹⁶Judas the son of James; and Judas Iscariot, who also became a traitor.

¹⁶ยูดาสน้องชายของยากอบ และยูดาสอิสคาริโอทที่เป็นผู้ทรยศพระองค์ไว้นั้น

¹⁷He came down with them, and stood on a level place, with a crowd of his disciples, and a great number of the people from all Judea and Jerusalem, and the sea coast of Tyre and Sidon, who came to hear him and to be healed of their diseases;

¹⁷แล้วพระองค์กับอัครสาวกก็ลงมายืน ณ ที่ราบแห่งหนึ่ง พร้อมกับหมู่สาวกของพระองค์ และประชาชนเป็นอันมากซึ่งมาจากทั่วแคว้นยูเดีย กรุงเยรูซาเล็ม และจากตำบลชายทะเลในเขตเมืองไทระและเมืองไซดอน เพื่อจะฟังพระองค์และให้พระองค์ทรงรักษาโรคของเขา

¹⁸as well as those who were troubled by unclean spirits, and they were being healed.

¹⁸และบรรดาคนที่ต้องทนทุกข์เพราะผีโสโครก เขาก็ได้รับการรักษาให้หายด้วย

¹⁹All the multitude sought to touch him, for power came out from him and healed them all.

¹⁹ประชาชนต่างก็พยายามที่จะถูกต้องพระองค์ เพราะว่ามีฤทธิ์ซ่านออกจากพระองค์รักษาเขาให้หายทุกคน

²⁰He lifted up his eyes to his disciples, and said, “Blessed are you who are poor, for yours is the Kingdom of God.

²⁰พระองค์ทอดพระเนตรแลดูเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ตรัสว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายที่เป็นคนยากจนก็เป็นสุข เพราะว่าอาณาจักรของพระเจ้าเป็นของท่าน

²¹ Blessed are you who hunger now, for you will be filled. Blessed are you who weep now, for you will laugh.

²¹ท่านทั้งหลายที่อดอยากเวลานี้ก็เป็นสุข เพราะว่าท่านจะได้อิ่มหนำ ท่านทั้งหลายที่ร้องไห้เวลานี้ก็เป็นสุข เพราะว่าท่านจะได้หัวเราะ

²² Blessed are you when men shall hate you, and when they shall exclude and mock you, and throw out your name as evil, for the Son of Man’s sake.

²²ท่านทั้งหลายจะเป็นสุขเมื่อคนทั้งหลายจะเกลียดชังท่าน และจะไล่ท่านออกจากพวกเขา และจะประณามท่าน และจะเหยียดชื่อของท่านว่าเป็นคนชั่วช้า เพราะท่านเห็นแก่บุตรมนุษย์

²³ Rejoice in that day, and leap for joy, for behold, your reward is great in heaven, for their fathers did the same thing to the prophets.

²³ในวันนั้นท่านทั้งหลายจงชื่นชม และเต้นโลดด้วยความยินดี เพราะ ดูเถิด บำเหน็จของท่านมีบริบูรณ์ในสวรรค์ เพราะว่าบรรพบุรุษของเขาได้กระทำอย่างนั้นแก่พวกศาสดาพยากรณ์เหมือนกัน

²⁴ “But woe to you who are rich! For you have received your consolation.

²⁴แต่วิบัติแก่เจ้าทั้งหลายที่มั่งมี เพราะว่าเจ้าได้รับสิ่งที่เล้าโลมใจแล้ว

²⁵ Woe to you, you who are full now, for you will be hungry. Woe to you who laugh now, for you will mourn and weep.

²⁵วิบัติแก่เจ้าทั้งหลายที่อิ่มหนำแล้ว เพราะว่าเจ้าจะอดอยาก วิบัติแก่เจ้าทั้งหลายที่หัวเราะเวลานี้ เพราะว่าเจ้าจะเป็นทุกข์และร้องไห้

²⁶ Woe, TR adds “to you” when TR adds “all” men speak well of you, for their fathers did the same thing to the false prophets.

²⁶วิบัติแก่เจ้าทั้งหลายเมื่อคนทั้งหลายจะยอว่าเจ้าดี เพราะบรรพบุรุษของเขาได้กระทำอย่างนั้นแก่ผู้พยากรณ์เท็จเหมือนกัน

²⁷ “But I tell you who hear: love your enemies, do good to those who hate you,

²⁷แต่เราบอกท่านทั้งหลายที่กำลังฟังอยู่ว่า จงรักศัตรูของท่าน จงทำดีแก่ผู้ที่เกลียดชังท่าน

²⁸ bless those who curse you, and pray for those who mistreat you.

²⁸จงอวยพรแก่คนที่แช่งด่าท่าน จงอธิษฐานเพื่อคนที่เคี่ยวเข็ญท่าน

²⁹ To him who strikes you on the cheek, offer also the other; and from him who takes away your cloak, don’t withhold your coat also.

²⁹ผู้ใดตบแก้มของท่านข้างหนึ่ง จงหันอีกข้างหนึ่งให้เขาด้วย และผู้ใดริบเอาเสื้อคลุมของท่านไป ถ้าเขาจะเอาเสื้อด้วยก็อย่าหวงห้าม

³⁰ Give to everyone who asks you, and don’t ask him who takes away your goods to give them back again.

³⁰จงให้แก่ทุกคนที่ขอจากท่าน และถ้าใครได้ริบเอาของของท่านไป อย่าทวงเอาคืน

³¹ “As you would like people to do to you, do exactly so to them.

³¹จงปฏิบัติต่อผู้อื่นอย่างที่ท่านปรารถนาให้เขาปฏิบัติต่อท่าน

³² If you love those who love you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners love those who love them.

³²แม้ว่าท่านทั้งหลายรักผู้ที่รักท่าน จะนับว่าเป็นคุณอะไรแก่ท่าน ถึงแม้คนบาปก็ยังรักผู้ที่รักเขาเหมือนกัน

³³ If you do good to those who do good to you, what credit is that to you? For even sinners do the same.

³³ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายทำดีแก่ผู้ที่ทำดีแก่ท่าน จะนับว่าเป็นคุณอะไรแก่ท่าน เพราะว่าคนบาปก็กระทำเหมือนกัน

³⁴ If you lend to those from whom you hope to receive, what credit is that to you? Even sinners lend to sinners, to receive back as much.

³⁴ถ้าท่านทั้งหลายให้ยืมเฉพาะแต่ผู้ที่ท่านหวังจะได้คืนจากเขาอีก จะนับว่าเป็นคุณอะไรแก่ท่าน ถึงแม้คนบาปก็ยังให้คนบาปยืมโดยหวังว่าจะได้รับคืนจากเขาอีกเท่ากัน

³⁵ But love your enemies, and do good, and lend, expecting nothing back; and your reward will be great, and you will be children of the Most High; for he is kind toward the unthankful and evil.

³⁵แต่จงรักศัตรูของท่านทั้งหลาย และทำการดีต่อเขา จงให้เขายืมโดยไม่หวังที่จะได้คืนอีก บำเหน็จของท่านทั้งหลายจึงจะมีบริบูรณ์ และท่านทั้งหลายจะเป็นบุตรของผู้สูงสุด เพราะว่าพระองค์ยังทรงโปรดแก่คนอกตัญญูและคนชั่ว

³⁶ Therefore be merciful, even as your Father is also merciful.

³⁶เหตุฉะนั้น ท่านทั้งหลายจงมีความเมตตากรุณา เหมือนอย่างพระบิดาของท่านมีพระทัยเมตตากรุณา

³⁷ Don’t judge, and you won’t be judged. Don’t condemn, and you won’t be condemned. Set free, and you will be set free.

³⁷อย่าวินิจฉัยโทษเขา และท่านทั้งหลายจะไม่ได้ถูกวินิจฉัยโทษ อย่ากล่าวโทษเขา และท่านทั้งหลายจะไม่ถูกกล่าวโทษ จงยกโทษให้เขา และท่านจะได้รับการอภัยโทษ

³⁸ “Give, and it will be given to you: good measure, pressed down, shaken together, and running over, will be given to you. literally, into your bosom. For with the same measure you measure it will be measured back to you.”

³⁸จงให้ และท่านจะได้รับด้วย และในตักของท่านจะได้รับตวงด้วยทะนานถ้วนยัดสั่นแน่นพูนล้นใส่ให้ เพราะว่าท่านจะตวงให้เขาด้วยทะนานอันใด จะตวงให้ท่านด้วยทะนานอันนั้น"

³⁹He spoke a parable to them. “Can the blind guide the blind? Won’t they both fall into a pit?

³⁹พระองค์ตรัสกับเขาทั้งหลายเป็นคำอุปมาด้วยว่า "คนตาบอดจะนำทางคนตาบอดได้หรือ ทั้งสองจะไม่ตกลงไปในบ่อหรือ

⁴⁰ A disciple is not above his teacher, but everyone when he is fully trained will be like his teacher.

⁴⁰ศิษย์ไม่ใหญ่กว่าครู แต่ศิษย์ทุกคนที่ได้รับการฝึกสอนครบแล้วก็จะเป็นเหมือนครูของตน

⁴¹ Why do you see the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye, but don’t consider the beam that is in your own eye?

⁴¹เหตุไฉนท่านมองดูผงที่ในตาพี่น้องของท่าน แต่ไม้ทั้งท่อนที่อยู่ในตาของท่าน ท่านก็ไม่รู้สึก

⁴² Or how can you tell your brother, ‘Brother, let me remove the speck of chaff that is in your eye,’ when you yourself don’t see the beam that is in your own eye? You hypocrite! First remove the beam from your own eye, and then you can see clearly to remove the speck of chaff that is in your brother’s eye.

⁴²เหตุไฉนท่านจึงจะพูดกับพี่น้องของท่านว่า `พี่น้องเอ๋ย ให้เราเขี่ยผงออกจากตาของเธอ' แต่ที่จริงท่านเองยังไม่เห็นไม้ทั้งท่อนที่อยู่ในตาของท่าน ท่านคนหน้าซื่อใจคด จงชักไม้ทั้งท่อนออกจากตาของท่านก่อน แล้วท่านจะเห็นได้ถนัดจึงจะเขี่ยผงออกจากตาพี่น้องของท่านได้

⁴³ For there is no good tree that brings forth rotten fruit; nor again a rotten tree that brings forth good fruit.

⁴³ด้วยว่าต้นไม้ดีย่อมไม่เกิดผลเลว หรือต้นไม้เลวย่อมไม่เกิดผลดี

⁴⁴ For each tree is known by its own fruit. For people don’t gather figs from thorns, nor do they gather grapes from a bramble bush.

⁴⁴เพราะว่าจะรู้จักต้นไม้ทุกต้นได้ก็เพราะผลของมัน เพราะว่าเขาย่อมไม่เก็บผลมะเดื่อจากต้นไม้มีหนาม หรือย่อมไม่เก็บผลองุ่นจากพุ่มไม้หนาม

⁴⁵ The good man out of the good treasure of his heart brings out that which is good, and the evil man out of the evil treasure of his heart brings out that which is evil, for out of the abundance of the heart, his mouth speaks.

⁴⁵คนดีก็ย่อมเอาของดีออกจากคลังดีแห่งใจของตน และคนชั่วก็ย่อมเอาของชั่วออกจากคลังชั่วแห่งใจของตน ด้วยใจเต็มด้วยอะไร ปากก็พูดออกมาอย่างนั้น

⁴⁶ “Why do you call me, ‘Lord, Lord,’ and don’t do the things which I say?

⁴⁶เหตุไฉนท่านทั้งหลายจึงเรียกเราว่า `พระองค์เจ้าข้า พระองค์เจ้าข้า' แต่ไม่กระทำตามที่เราบอกนั้น

⁴⁷ Everyone who comes to me, and hears my words, and does them, I will show you who he is like.

⁴⁷ทุกคนที่มาหาเราและฟังคำของเรา และกระทำตามคำนั้น เราจะแจ้งให้ท่านทั้งหลายรู้ว่า เขาเปรียบเหมือนผู้ใด

⁴⁸ He is like a man building a house, who dug and went deep, and laid a foundation on the rock. When a flood arose, the stream broke against that house, and could not shake it, because it was founded on the rock.

⁴⁸เขาเปรียบเหมือนคนหนึ่งที่สร้างเรือน เขาขุดลึกลงไป แล้วตั้งรากบนศิลา และเมื่อน้ำมาท่วม กระแสน้ำไหลเชี่ยวกระทบกระทั่ง แต่ทำให้เรือนนั้นหวั่นไหวไม่ได้ เพราะได้ตั้งรากบนศิลา

⁴⁹ But he who hears, and doesn’t do, is like a man who built a house on the earth without a foundation, against which the stream broke, and immediately it fell, and the ruin of that house was great.”

⁴⁹ส่วนคนที่ได้ยินและมิได้กระทำตาม เปรียบเหมือนคนหนึ่งที่สร้างเรือนบนดินไม่ก่อราก เมื่อกระแสน้ำไหลเชี่ยวกระทบกระทั่ง เรือนนั้นก็พังทลายลงทันที และความพินาศของเรือนนั้นก็ใหญ่ยิ่งนัก"
