1When he entered again into Capernaum after some days, it was heard that he was in the house.
1ครั้นล่วงไปหลายวัน พระองค์ได้เสด็จไปในเมืองคาเปอรนาอุมอีก และคนทั้งหลายได้ยินว่า พระองค์ประทับที่บ้าน
2Immediately many were gathered together, so that there was no more room, not even around the door; and he spoke the word to them.
2และในเวลานั้นคนเป็นอันมากมาชุมนุมกันจนไม่มีที่จะรับ จะเข้าใกล้ประตูก็ไม่ได้ พระองค์จึงเทศนาพระคำนั้นให้เขาฟัง
3Four people came, carrying a paralytic to him.
3แล้วมีคนนำคนอัมพาตคนหนึ่งมาหาพระองค์ มีสี่คนหาม
4When they could not come near to him for the crowd, they removed the roof where he was. When they had broken it up, they let down the mat that the paralytic was lying on.
4เมื่อเขาเข้าไปให้ถึงพระองค์ไม่ได้เพราะคนมาก เขาจึงรื้อดาดฟ้าหลังคาตรงที่พระองค์ประทับนั้น และเมื่อรื้อเป็นช่องแล้ว เขาก็หย่อนแคร่ที่คนอัมพาตนอนอยู่ลงมา
5Jesus, seeing their faith, said to the paralytic, “Son, your sins are forgiven you.”
5เมื่อพระเยซูทอดพระเนตรเห็นความเชื่อของเขาทั้งหลาย พระองค์จึงตรัสกับคนอัมพาตว่า "ลูกเอ๋ย บาปของเจ้าได้รับอภัยแล้ว"
6But there were some of the scribes sitting there, and reasoning in their hearts,
6แต่มีพวกธรรมาจารย์บางคนนั่งอยู่ที่นั่น และเขาคิดในใจว่า
7“Why does this man speak blasphemies like that? Who can forgive sins but God alone?”
7"ทำไมคนนี้พูดหมิ่นประมาทเช่นนั้น ใครจะยกความผิดบาปได้เว้นแต่พระเจ้าเท่านั้น"
8Immediately Jesus, perceiving in his spirit that they so reasoned within themselves, said to them, “Why do you reason these things in your hearts?
8และในทันใดนั้นเมื่อพระเยซูทรงทราบในพระทัยว่าเขาคิดในใจอย่างนั้น พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "เหตุไฉนท่านทั้งหลายจึงคิดในใจอย่างนี้เล่า
9 Which is easier, to tell the paralytic, ‘Your sins are forgiven;’ or to say, ‘Arise, and take up your bed, and walk?’
9ที่จะว่ากับคนอัมพาตว่า `บาปของเจ้าได้รับอภัยแล้ว' หรือจะว่า `จงลุกขึ้นยกแคร่เดินไปเถิด' นั้น ข้างไหนจะง่ายกว่ากัน
10 But that you may know that the Son of Man has authority on earth to forgive sins” —he said to the paralytic—
10แต่เพื่อท่านทั้งหลายจะได้รู้ว่า บุตรมนุษย์มีสิทธิอำนาจในโลกที่จะโปรดยกความผิดบาปได้" (พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งคนอัมพาตว่า)
11 “I tell you, arise, take up your mat, and go to your house.”
11"เราสั่งเจ้าว่า จงลุกขึ้นยกแคร่ไปบ้านของเจ้าเถิด"
12He arose, and immediately took up the mat, and went out in front of them all; so that they were all amazed, and glorified God, saying, “We never saw anything like this!”
12ทันใดนั้นคนอัมพาตได้ลุกขึ้นแล้วก็ยกแคร่เดินออกไปต่อหน้าคนทั้งปวง คนทั้งปวงก็ประหลาดใจนัก จึงสรรเสริญพระเจ้าว่า "เราไม่เคยเห็นการเช่นนี้เลย"
13He went out again by the seaside. All the multitude came to him, and he taught them.
13ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้เสด็จไปตามชายทะเลสาบอีก ประชาชนก็มาหาพระองค์ และพระองค์ได้ตรัสสั่งสอนเขา
14As he passed by, he saw Levi, the son of Alphaeus, sitting at the tax office, and he said to him, “Follow me.” And he arose and followed him.
14เมื่อพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปนั้น พระองค์ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเลวีบุตรชายอัลเฟอัสนั่งอยู่ที่ด่านภาษี จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงตามเรามาเถิด" เขาก็ลุกขึ้นตามพระองค์ไป
15It happened, that he was reclining at the table in his house, and many tax collectors and sinners sat down with Jesus and his disciples, for there were many, and they followed him.
15ต่อมาเมื่อพระเยซูเอนพระกายลงเสวยอยู่ในเรือนของเลวี มีพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาปหลายคนเอนกายลงร่วมสำรับกับพระเยซูและพวกสาวกของพระองค์ เพราะมีคนติดตามพระองค์ไปมาก
16The scribes and the Pharisees, when they saw that he was eating with the sinners and tax collectors, said to his disciples, “Why is it that he eats and drinks with tax collectors and sinners?”
16ฝ่ายพวกธรรมาจารย์และพวกฟาริสี เมื่อเห็นพระองค์ทรงเสวยพระกระยาหารกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาป จึงถามสาวกของพระองค์ว่า "เหตุไฉนพระองค์จึงกินและดื่มด้วยกันกับพวกคนเก็บภาษีและคนบาปเล่า"
17When Jesus heard it, he said to them, “Those who are healthy have no need for a physician, but those who are sick. I came not to call the righteous, but sinners to repentance.”
17ครั้นพระเยซูทรงทราบดังนั้น พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "คนปกติไม่ต้องการหมอ แต่คนเจ็บต้องการหมอ เรามิได้มาเพื่อจะเรียกคนชอบธรรม แต่มาเรียกคนบาปให้กลับใจเสียใหม่"
18John’s disciples and the Pharisees were fasting, and they came and asked him, “Why do John’s disciples and the disciples of the Pharisees fast, but your disciples don’t fast?”
18มีพวกศิษย์ของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีกำลังถืออดอาหาร พวกเขาจึงมาทูลถามพระองค์ว่า "เหตุไฉนพวกสาวกของยอห์นและของพวกฟาริสีถืออดอาหาร แต่พวกสาวกของพระองค์ไม่ถือ"
19Jesus said to them, “Can the groomsmen fast while the bridegroom is with them? As long as they have the bridegroom with them, they can’t fast.
19พระเยซูจึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านจะให้สหายของเจ้าบ่าวถืออดอาหารเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวยังอยู่กับเขากระนั้นหรือ เจ้าบ่าวอยู่ด้วยนานเท่าใด สหายก็ถืออดอาหารไม่ได้นานเท่านั้น
20 But the days will come when the bridegroom will be taken away from them, and then will they fast in that day.
20แต่วันนั้นจะมาถึงเมื่อเจ้าบ่าวจะต้องจากสหายไป ในวันนั้นสหายจะถืออดอาหาร
21 No one sews a piece of unshrunk cloth on an old garment, or else the patch shrinks and the new tears away from the old, and a worse hole is made.
21ไม่มีผู้ใดเอาท่อนผ้าทอใหม่มาปะเสื้อเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้น ท่อนผ้าทอใหม่ที่ปะเข้านั้นเมื่อหดจะทำให้เสื้อเก่าขาดกว้างออกไปอีก
22 No one puts new wine into old wineskins, or else the new wine will burst the skins, and the wine pours out, and the skins will be destroyed; but they put new wine into fresh wineskins.”
22และไม่มีผู้ใดเอาน้ำองุ่นใหม่มาใส่ไว้ในถุงหนังเก่า ถ้าทำอย่างนั้นน้ำองุ่นใหม่จะทำให้ถุงเก่านั้นขาดไป น้ำองุ่นนั้นจะไหลออก ถุงหนังก็จะเสียไป แต่น้ำองุ่นใหม่นั้นต้องใส่ไว้ในถุงหนังใหม่"
23It happened that he was going on the Sabbath day through the grain fields, and his disciples began, as they went, to pluck the ears of grain.
23ต่อมาในวันสะบาโตวันหนึ่งพระองค์กำลังเสด็จไปในนาข้าว และเมื่อพวกสาวกของพระองค์กำลังเดินไปก็เริ่มเด็ดรวงข้าวไป
24The Pharisees said to him, “Behold, why do they do that which is not lawful on the Sabbath day?”
24ฝ่ายพวกฟาริสีจึงถามพระองค์ว่า "ดูเถิด ทำไมพวกเขาจึงทำการซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไว้ในวันสะบาโต"
25He said to them, “Did you never read what David did, when he had need, and was hungry—he, and those who were with him?
25พระองค์จึงตรัสกับเขาว่า "พวกท่านยังไม่ได้อ่านหรือซึ่งดาวิดได้กระทำเมื่อท่านขาดอาหารและอดอยาก ทั้งท่านและพรรคพวกด้วย
26 How he entered into God’s house when Abiathar was high priest, and ate the show bread, which is not lawful to eat except for the priests, and gave also to those who were with him?”
26คือคราวเมื่ออาบียาธาร์เป็นมหาปุโรหิต ท่านได้เข้าไปในพระนิเวศของพระเจ้า และรับประทานขนมปังหน้าพระพักตร์ ซึ่งพระราชบัญญัติห้ามไม่ให้ใครรับประทาน เว้นแต่พวกปุโรหิตเท่านั้น และยังซ้ำส่งให้คนที่มากับท่านรับประทานด้วย"
27He said to them, “The Sabbath was made for man, not man for the Sabbath.
27พระองค์จึงตรัสแก่เขาว่า "วันสะบาโตนั้นทรงตั้งไว้เพื่อมนุษย์ มิใช่ทรงสร้างมนุษย์ไว้สำหรับวันสะบาโต
28 Therefore the Son of Man is lord even of the Sabbath.”
28เหตุฉะนั้นบุตรมนุษย์เป็นเจ้าเป็นใหญ่เหนือวันสะบาโตด้วย"
