¹He went out from there. He came into his own country, and his disciples followed him.

¹ฝ่ายพระองค์ได้เสด็จออกจากที่นั่น ไปยังตำบลบ้านของพระองค์ และเหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ก็ตามพระองค์ไป

²When the Sabbath had come, he began to teach in the synagogue, and many hearing him were astonished, saying, “Where did this man get these things?” and, “What is the wisdom that is given to this man, that such mighty works come about by his hands?

²พอถึงวันสะบาโตพระองค์ทรงตั้งต้นสั่งสอนในธรรมศาลา และคนเป็นอันมากที่ได้ยินพระองค์ก็ประหลาดใจนักพูดกันว่า "คนนี้ได้ความคิดนี้มาจากไหน สติปัญญาที่ได้ประทานแก่คนนี้เป็นปัญญาอย่างใด จึงทำการมหัศจรรย์อย่างนี้สำเร็จด้วยมือของเขา

³Isn’t this the carpenter, the son of Mary, and brother of James, Joses, Judah, and Simon? Aren’t his sisters here with us?” They were offended at him.

³คนนี้เป็นช่างไม้บุตรชายนางมารีย์มิใช่หรือ ยากอบ โยเสส ยูดาส และซีโมนเป็นน้องชายมิใช่หรือ และน้องสาวก็อยู่ที่นี่กับเรามิใช่หรือ" เขาทั้งหลายจึงหมางใจในพระองค์

⁴Jesus said to them, “A prophet is not without honor, except in his own country, and among his own relatives, and in his own house.”

⁴ฝ่ายพระเยซูตรัสกับเขาว่า "ศาสดาพยากรณ์จะไม่ขาดความนับถือเว้นแต่ในเมืองของตน ท่ามกลางญาติพี่น้องของตน และในวงศ์วานของตน"

⁵He could do no mighty work there, except that he laid his hands on a few sick people, and healed them.

⁵พระองค์จะกระทำการมหัศจรรย์ที่นั่นไม่ได้ เว้นแต่ได้วางพระหัตถ์ถูกต้องคนเจ็บบางคนให้หายโรค

⁶He marveled because of their unbelief. He went around the villages teaching.

⁶พระองค์ก็ประหลาดพระทัยเพราะเขาไม่มีความเชื่อ แล้วพระองค์จึงเสด็จไปสั่งสอนตามหมู่บ้านโดยรอบ

⁷He called to himself the twelve, and began to send them out two by two; and he gave them authority over the unclean spirits.

⁷พระองค์ทรงเรียกสาวกสิบสองคนมา แล้วทรงเริ่มใช้เขาให้ออกไปเป็นคู่ๆ ทรงประทานอำนาจให้เขาขับผีโสโครกออกได้

⁸He commanded them that they should take nothing for their journey, except a staff only: no bread, no wallet, no money in their purse,

⁸และตรัสกำชับเขาไม่ให้เอาอะไรไปใช้ตามทางเว้นแต่ไม้เท้าสิ่งเดียว ห้ามมิให้เอาอาหารหรือย่าม หรือหาสตางค์ใส่ไถ้ไป

⁹but to wear sandals, and not put on two tunics.

⁹แต่ให้สวมรองเท้าและไม่ให้สวมเสื้อสองตัว

¹⁰He said to them, “Wherever you enter into a house, stay there until you depart from there.

¹⁰แล้วพระองค์ตรัสสั่งเขาว่า "ถ้าไปแห่งใด เมื่อเข้าอาศัยในเรือนไหน ก็อาศัยในเรือนนั้นจนกว่าจะไปจากที่นั่น

¹¹ Whoever will not receive you nor hear you, as you depart from there, shake off the dust that is under your feet for a testimony against them. Assuredly, I tell you, it will be more tolerable for Sodom and Gomorrah in the day of judgment than for that city!”

¹¹และถ้าผู้ใดไม่ต้อนรับไม่ฟังท่านทั้งหลาย เมื่อจะไปจากที่นั่นจงสะบัดผงคลีใต้ฝ่าเท้าของท่านออกเป็นสักขีพยานต่อเขา เราบอกความจริงแก่ท่านว่า ในวันพิพากษานั้น โทษของเมืองโสโดมและเมืองโกโมราห์จะเบากว่าโทษของเมืองนั้น"

¹²They went out and preached that people should repent.

¹²ฝ่ายเหล่าสาวกก็ออกไปเทศนาประกาศให้คนทั้งปวงกลับใจเสียใหม่

¹³They cast out many demons, and anointed many with oil who were sick, and healed them.

¹³เขาได้ขับผีให้ออกเสียหลายผี และได้เอาน้ำมันชโลมคนเจ็บป่วยหลายคนให้หายโรค

¹⁴King Herod heard this, for his name had become known, and he said, “John the Baptizer has risen from the dead, and therefore these powers are at work in him.”

¹⁴ฝ่ายกษัตริย์เฮโรดทรงทราบเรื่องของพระองค์ (เพราะว่าพระนามของพระองค์ได้เลื่องลือไป) แล้วท่านตรัสว่า "ยอห์นผู้ให้รับบัพติศมาเป็นขึ้นมาจากความตายแล้ว เหตุฉะนั้นจึงทำการมหัศจรรย์ได้"

¹⁵But others said, “He is Elijah.” Others said, “He is a prophet, or like one of the prophets.”

¹⁵แต่คนอื่นว่า "เป็นเอลียาห์" และคนอื่นๆว่า "เป็นศาสดาพยากรณ์คนหนึ่งหรือเหมือนคนหนึ่งในพวกศาสดาพยากรณ์"

¹⁶But Herod, when he heard this, said, “This is John, whom I beheaded. He has risen from the dead.”

¹⁶ฝ่ายเฮโรดเมื่อทรงทราบแล้วจึงตรัสว่า "คือยอห์นนั้นเองที่เราได้ตัดศีรษะเสีย ท่านได้เป็นขึ้นมาจากความตาย"

¹⁷For Herod himself had sent out and arrested John, and bound him in prison for the sake of Herodias, his brother Philip’s wife, for he had married her.

¹⁷ด้วยว่าเฮโรดได้ใช้คนไปจับยอห์น และล่ามโซ่ขังคุกไว้ เพราะเห็นแก่นางเฮโรเดียสภรรยาฟีลิปน้องชายของตน ด้วยเฮโรดได้รับนางนั้นเป็นภรรยาของตน

¹⁸For John said to Herod, “It is not lawful for you to have your brother’s wife.”

¹⁸เพราะยอห์นได้เคยทูลเฮโรดว่า "ท่านผิดพระราชบัญญัติที่รับภรรยาของน้องชายมาเป็นภรรยาของตน"

¹⁹Herodias set herself against him, and desired to kill him, but she couldn’t,

¹⁹นางเฮโรเดียสจึงผูกพยาบาทยอห์นและปรารถนาจะฆ่าท่านเสียแต่ฆ่าไม่ได้

²⁰for Herod feared John, knowing that he was a righteous and holy man, and kept him safe. When he heard him, he did many things, and he heard him gladly.

²⁰เพราะเฮโรดยำเกรงยอห์นด้วยรู้ว่า ท่านเป็นคนชอบธรรมและบริสุทธิ์จึงได้ป้องกันท่านไว้ เมื่อเฮโรดได้ยินคำสั่งสอนของท่านก็ปฏิบัติตามหลายสิ่งและยินดีรับฟังท่าน

²¹Then a convenient day came, that Herod on his birthday made a supper for his nobles, the high officers, and the chief men of Galilee.

²¹ครั้นอยู่มาวันหนึ่งเป็นโอกาสดีคือเป็นวันฉลองวันกำเนิดของเฮโรด เฮโรดให้จัดการเลี้ยงขุนนางกับนายทหารชั้นผู้ใหญ่ และคนสำคัญๆทั้งปวงในแคว้นกาลิลี

²²When the daughter of Herodias herself came in and danced, she pleased Herod and those sitting with him. The king said to the young lady, “Ask me whatever you want, and I will give it to you.”

²²เมื่อบุตรสาวของนางเฮโรเดียสเข้ามาเต้นรำ ทำให้เฮโรดและแขกทั้งปวงซึ่งเอนกายลงอยู่ด้วยกันนั้นชอบใจ กษัตริย์จึงตรัสกับหญิงสาวนั้นว่า "เธอจะขอสิ่งใดจากเรา เราก็จะให้สิ่งนั้นแก่เธอ"

²³He swore to her, “Whatever you shall ask of me, I will give you, up to half of my kingdom.”

²³และกษัตริย์จึงทรงปฏิญาณตัวไว้กับหญิงสาวนั้นว่า "เธอจะขอสิ่งใดๆจากเรา เราจะให้สิ่งนั้นแก่เธอจนถึงครึ่งราชสมบัติของเรา"

²⁴She went out, and said to her mother, “What shall I ask?” She said, “The head of John the Baptizer.”

²⁴หญิงสาวนั้นจึงออกไปถามมารดาว่า "ฉันจะขอสิ่งใดดี" มารดาจึงตอบว่า "จงขอศีรษะยอห์นผู้ให้รับบัพติศมาเถิด"

²⁵She came in immediately with haste to the king, and asked, “I want you to give me right now the head of John the Baptizer on a platter.”

²⁵ในทันใดนั้นหญิงสาวก็รีบเข้าไปเฝ้ากษัตริย์ทูลว่า "หม่อมฉันขอศีรษะยอห์นผู้ให้รับบัพติศมาใส่ถาดมาให้หม่อมฉันเดี๋ยวนี้เพคะ"

²⁶The king was exceedingly sorry, but for the sake of his oaths, and of his dinner guests, he didn’t wish to refuse her.

²⁶กษัตริย์ทรงเป็นทุกข์นัก แต่เพราะเหตุได้ทรงปฏิญาณไว้และเพราะเห็นแก่หน้าแขกทั้งปวงซึ่งเอนกายลงอยู่ด้วยกัน ก็ปฏิเสธไม่ได้

²⁷Immediately the king sent out a soldier of his guard, and commanded to bring John’s head, and he went and beheaded him in the prison,

²⁷ในขณะนั้นกษัตริย์จึงรับสั่งเพชฌฆาตให้ไปตัดศีรษะยอห์นมา เพชฌฆาตก็ไปตัดศีรษะยอห์นในคุก

²⁸and brought his head on a platter, and gave it to the young lady; and the young lady gave it to her mother.

²⁸เอาศีรษะของยอห์นใส่ถาดมาให้แก่หญิงสาวนั้น หญิงสาวนั้นก็เอาไปให้แก่มารดาของตน

²⁹When his disciples heard this, they came and took up his corpse, and laid it in a tomb.

²⁹เมื่อสาวกของยอห์นรู้เหตุแล้ว ก็พากันมารับเอาศพของท่านไปฝังไว้ในอุโมงค์

³⁰The apostles gathered themselves together to Jesus, and they told him all things, whatever they had done, and whatever they had taught.

³⁰ฝ่ายอัครสาวกพากันมาหาพระเยซู และได้ทูลถึงบรรดาการซึ่งเขาได้กระทำและได้สั่งสอน

³¹He said to them, “You come apart into a deserted place, and rest awhile.” For there were many coming and going, and they had no leisure so much as to eat.

³¹แล้วพระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "ท่านทั้งหลายจงไปหาที่เปลี่ยวหยุดพักหายเหนื่อยสักหน่อยหนึ่ง" เพราะว่ามีคนไปมาเป็นอันมากจนไม่มีเวลาว่างจะรับประทานอาหารได้

³²They went away in the boat to a deserted place by themselves.

³²พระองค์จึงเสด็จลงเรือกับสาวกไปยังที่เปลี่ยวแต่ลำพัง

³³ They TR reads “The multitudes” instead of “They” saw them going, and many recognized him and ran there on foot from all the cities. They arrived before them and came together to him.

³³คนเป็นอันมากเห็นพระองค์กับสาวกกำลังไป และมีหลายคนจำพระองค์ได้ จึงพากันวิ่งออกจากบ้านเมืองทั้งปวงไปถึงก่อน และพากันเฝ้าพระองค์

³⁴Jesus came out, saw a great multitude, and he had compassion on them, because they were like sheep without a shepherd, and he began to teach them many things.

³⁴ครั้นพระเยซูเสด็จขึ้นจากเรือแล้ว ก็ทอดพระเนตรเห็นประชาชนหมู่ใหญ่ และพระองค์ทรงสงสารเขา เพราะว่าเขาเป็นเหมือนฝูงแกะไม่มีผู้เลี้ยง พระองค์จึงเริ่มสั่งสอนเขาเป็นหลายข้อหลายประการ

³⁵When it was late in the day, his disciples came to him, and said, “This place is deserted, and it is late in the day.

³⁵เมื่อเวลาล่วงไปมากแล้ว พวกสาวกของพระองค์มาทูลพระองค์ว่า "ที่นี่กันดารอาหารนัก และบัดนี้เวลาก็เย็นลงมากแล้ว

³⁶Send them away, that they may go into the surrounding country and villages, and buy themselves bread, for they have nothing to eat.”

³⁶ขอให้ประชาชนไปเสียเถิด เพื่อเขาจะได้ไปซื้ออาหารรับประทานตามบ้านไร่บ้านนาที่อยู่แถบนี้ เพราะเขาไม่มีอะไรที่จะรับประทานเลย"

³⁷But he answered them, “You give them something to eat.” They asked him, “Shall we go and buy two hundred denarii 200 denarii was about 7 or 8 months wages for an agricultural laborer. worth of bread, and give them something to eat?”

³⁷แต่พระองค์ตรัสตอบแก่เหล่าสาวกว่า "พวกท่านจงเลี้ยงเขาเถิด" เขาทูลพระองค์ว่า "จะให้พวกข้าพระองค์ไปซื้ออาหารสักสองร้อยเหรียญเดนาริอันให้เขารับประทานหรือ"

³⁸He said to them, “How many loaves do you have? Go see.” When they knew, they said, “Five, and two fish.”

³⁸พระองค์ตรัสตอบเขาว่า "พวกท่านมีขนมปังอยู่กี่ก้อน ไปดูซิ" เมื่อรู้แล้วเขาจึงทูลว่า "มีขนมปังห้าก้อนกับปลาสองตัว"

³⁹He commanded them that everyone should sit down in groups on the green grass.

³⁹พระองค์จึงตรัสสั่งพวกสาวกให้จัดคนทั้งปวงให้นั่งรวมกันที่หญ้าสดเป็นหมู่ๆ

⁴⁰They sat down in ranks, by hundreds and by fifties.

⁴⁰ประชาชนก็ได้นั่งรวมกันเป็นหมู่ๆ หมู่ละร้อยคนบ้าง ห้าสิบบ้าง

⁴¹He took the five loaves and the two fish, and looking up to heaven, he blessed and broke the loaves, and he gave to his disciples to set before them, and he divided the two fish among them all.

⁴¹เมื่อพระองค์ทรงรับขนมปังห้าก้อนกับปลาสองตัวนั้นแล้ว ก็แหงนพระพักตร์ดูฟ้าสวรรค์ขอบพระคุณ แล้วหักขนมปังนั้นให้เหล่าสาวกให้เขาแจกแก่คนทั้งปวง และปลาสองตัวนั้นพระองค์ทรงแบ่งให้ทั่วกันด้วย

⁴²They all ate, and were filled.

⁴²เขาได้กินอิ่มทุกคน

⁴³They took up twelve baskets full of broken pieces and also of the fish.

⁴³ส่วนเศษขนมปังและปลาที่เหลือนั้นเขาเก็บไว้ได้ถึงสิบสองกระบุงเต็ม

⁴⁴Those who ate the loaves were TR adds “about” five thousand men.

⁴⁴และในจำนวนคนที่ได้รับประทานขนมปังนั้น มีผู้ชายประมาณห้าพันคน

⁴⁵Immediately he made his disciples get into the boat, and to go ahead to the other side, to Bethsaida, while he himself sent the multitude away.

⁴⁵และทันใดนั้นพระองค์ได้ตรัสให้เหล่าสาวกของพระองค์ลงในเรือข้ามไปยังอีกฟากหนึ่งถึงเมืองเบธไซดาก่อน ส่วนพระองค์ทรงรอส่งประชาชนกลับบ้าน

⁴⁶After he had taken leave of them, he went up the mountain to pray.

⁴⁶เมื่อพระองค์ทรงลาเขาทั้งหลายแล้วก็เสด็จขึ้นภูเขาเพื่ออธิษฐานที่นั่น

⁴⁷When evening had come, the boat was in the midst of the sea, and he was alone on the land.

⁴⁷เมื่อค่ำลงแล้ว เรือของเหล่าสาวกอยู่กลางทะเล ส่วนพระองค์อยู่บนฝั่งแต่ผู้เดียว

⁴⁸Seeing them distressed in rowing, for the wind was contrary to them, about the fourth watch of the night he came to them, walking on the sea, see Job 9:8 and he would have passed by them,

⁴⁸แล้วพระองค์ทอดพระเนตรเห็นเหล่าสาวกตีกรรเชียงลำบากเพราะทวนลมอยู่ ครั้นเวลาสามยามเศษ พระองค์จึงทรงดำเนินบนน้ำทะเลไปยังเหล่าสาวก และทรงดำเนินดังจะเลยเขาไป

⁴⁹but they, when they saw him walking on the sea, supposed that it was a ghost, and cried out;

⁴⁹เมื่อเหล่าสาวกเห็นพระองค์ทรงดำเนินบนทะเล เขาสำคัญว่าผี แล้วพากันร้องอึงไป

⁵⁰for they all saw him, and were troubled. But he immediately spoke with them, and said to them, “Cheer up! It is I! or, “I AM!” Don’t be afraid.”

⁵⁰เพราะว่าทุกคนเห็นพระองค์แล้วก็กลัว แต่ในทันใดนั้นพระองค์ตรัสแก่เขาว่า "จงชื่นใจเถิด คือเราเอง อย่ากลัวเลย"

⁵¹He got into the boat with them; and the wind ceased, and they were very amazed among themselves, and marveled;

⁵¹พระองค์จึงเสด็จขึ้นไปหาเขาบนเรือ แล้วลมก็เงียบลง เหล่าสาวกก็ประหลาดอัศจรรย์ใจเหลือประมาณ

⁵²for they hadn’t understood about the loaves, but their hearts were hardened.

⁵²ด้วยว่าการอัศจรรย์เรื่องขนมปังนั้นเขายังไม่เข้าใจ เพราะใจเขายังแข็งกระด้าง

⁵³When they had crossed over, they came to land at Gennesaret, and moored to the shore.

⁵³ครั้นข้ามฟากไปแล้ว เขาจอดเรือที่แคว้นเยนเนซาเรท

⁵⁴When they had come out of the boat, immediately the people recognized him,

⁵⁴เมื่อขึ้นจากเรือแล้ว คนทั้งปวงก็จำพระองค์ได้ทันที

⁵⁵and ran around that whole region, and began to bring those who were sick, on their mats, to where they heard he was.

⁵⁵และเขารีบไปทั่วตลอดแว่นแคว้นล้อมรอบ เริ่มเอาคนเจ็บป่วยใส่แคร่หามมายังที่เขาได้ยินข่าวว่าพระองค์อยู่นั้น

⁵⁶Wherever he entered, into villages, or into cities, or into the country, they laid the sick in the marketplaces, and begged him that they might touch just the fringe or, tassel of his garment; and as many as touched him were made well.

⁵⁶แล้วพระองค์เสด็จไปที่ไหนๆ ไม่ว่าในหมู่บ้าน ในตำบล หรือในเมือง เขาก็เอาคนเจ็บป่วยมาวางตามถนน ทูลอ้อนวอนขอพระองค์โปรดให้คนเจ็บป่วยแตะต้องแต่ชายฉลองพระองค์ และผู้ใดได้แตะต้องพระองค์แล้วก็หายป่วยทุกคน
