1I lifted up my eyes, and saw, and behold, a man with a measuring line in his hand.
1ข้าพเจ้าเงยหน้าขึ้นอีกแลเห็น ดูเถิด ชายคนหนึ่งมีเชือกวัดอยู่ในมือแน่ะ
2Then I asked, “Where are you going?” He said to me, “To measure Jerusalem, to see what is its breadth and what is its length.”
2ข้าพเจ้าจึงถามว่า "ท่านจะไปไหน" เขาจึงบอกข้าพเจ้าว่า "จะไปวัดเยรูซาเล็มดูว่า กว้างเท่าใด ยาวเท่าใด"
3Behold, the angel who talked with me went forth, and another angel went out to meet him,
3และดูเถิด ทูตสวรรค์ที่ได้สนทนากับข้าพเจ้าก็ก้าวออกไป และทูตสวรรค์อีกองค์หนึ่งก็ก้าวออกไปพบกับท่าน
4and said to him, “Run, speak to this young man, saying, ‘Jerusalem will be inhabited as villages without walls, because of the multitude of men and livestock in it.
4และบอกท่านว่า "วิ่งซิ บอกชายหนุ่มคนนั้นว่า `จะมีคนมาอาศัยอยู่ในเยรูซาเล็มอย่างกับชนบทที่ไม่มีกำแพงล้อม เพราะว่าประชาชนและสัตว์เลี้ยงในนั้นจะมีมากมาย
5For I,’ says Yahweh, ‘will be to her a wall of fire around it, and I will be the glory in the midst of her.
5เพราะว่าเราจะเป็นเหมือนกำแพงเพลิงล้อมเธอไว้ พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า และเราจะเป็นสง่าราศีในเมืองนั้น
6Come! Come! Flee from the land of the north,’ says Yahweh; ‘for I have spread you abroad as the four winds of the sky,’ says Yahweh.
6พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เฮ้ เฮ้ จงหนีไปให้พ้นจากแผ่นดินเหนือ พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสว่า เพราะเราได้แผ่พวกเจ้าออกดังลมทั้งสี่ทิศของท้องฟ้า
7‘Come, Zion! Escape, you who dwell with the daughter of Babylon.’
7โอ ศิโยนเอ๋ย เจ้าผู้ที่อยู่กับธิดาของบาบิโลน จงหนีไป
8For thus says Yahweh of Armies: ‘For honor he has sent me to the nations which plundered you; for he who touches you touches the apple of his eye.
8เมื่อสง่าราศีมาแล้ว พระองค์ทรงใช้เราให้ไปยังประชาชาติที่ปล้นเจ้า เพราะว่าผู้ใดได้แตะต้องเจ้า ก็ได้แตะต้องแก้วพระเนตรของพระองค์ พระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาจึงตรัสดังนี้ว่า
9For, behold, I will shake my hand over them, and they will be a spoil to those who served them; and you will know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me.
9เพราะ ดูเถิด เราจะสั่นมือของเราเหนือเขา และเขาจะเป็นของถูกปล้นให้แก่คนรับใช้ของเขาเอง' แล้วเจ้าจะได้ทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาใช้ข้าพเจ้ามา
10Sing and rejoice, daughter of Zion; for, behold, I come, and I will dwell in the midst of you,’ says Yahweh.
10โอ บุตรสาวแห่งศิโยนเอ๋ย จงร้องเพลงและร่าเริงเถิด เพราะดูเถิด เรามาและจะอยู่ท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย พระเยโฮวาห์ตรัสดังนี้แหละ
11Many nations shall join themselves to Yahweh in that day, and shall be my people; and I will dwell in the midst of you, and you shall know that Yahweh of Armies has sent me to you.
11และประชาชาติเป็นอันมากจะสมทบกันเข้าเป็นฝ่ายพระเยโฮวาห์ในวันนั้น และจะเป็นประชาชนของเรา และเราจะอยู่ท่ามกลางเจ้าทั้งหลาย และเจ้าจะทราบว่าพระเยโฮวาห์จอมโยธาได้ใช้ข้าพเจ้ามายังเจ้า
12Yahweh will inherit Judah as his portion in the holy land, and will again choose Jerusalem.
12และพระเยโฮวาห์จะทรงรับยูดาห์เป็นมรดก เป็นส่วนของพระองค์ในแผ่นดินบริสุทธิ์ และจะเลือกสรรกรุงเยรูซาเล็มอีกครั้งหนึ่ง"
13Be silent, all flesh, before Yahweh; for he has roused himself from his holy habitation!”
13บรรดาเนื้อหนังเอ๋ย จงนิ่งสงบอยู่ต่อพระพักตร์พระเยโฮวาห์ เพราะว่าพระองค์ทรงตื่นและเสด็จจากที่ประทับอันบริสุทธิ์ของพระองค์แล้ว
