1As they spoke to the people, the priests and the captain of the temple and the Sadducees came to them,
1 Bi ñuy wax ak mbooloo ma, saraxalekat ya ak kilifag ñiy wottu kër Yàlla ga ak Sadusen ya daanu ci seen kaw.
2being upset because they taught the people and proclaimed in Jesus the resurrection from the dead.
2 Ñu mer lool ci li ñuy waar nit ñi, di yégle ndekkitel ñi dee, sukkandikoo ko ci ndekkitel Yeesu.
3They laid hands on them, and put them in custody until the next day, for it was now evening.
3 Noonu ñu jàpp leen, tëj leen ba ca ëllëg sa, ndaxte mu nga doon tàmbalee guddi.
4But many of those who heard the word believed, and the number of the men came to be about five thousand.
4 Waaye ñu bare ca ña dégg wax ja gëm nañu, te limu góor ñi gëm yokku na, ba mat juróomi junni.
5It happened in the morning, that their rulers, elders, and scribes were gathered together in Jerusalem.
5 Ca ëllëg sa nag kilifay Yawut yi ak njiit yi ak xutbakat yi dajaloo ci Yerusalem.
6Annas the high priest was there, with Caiaphas, John, Alexander, and as many as were relatives of the high priest.
6 Ràññe nañu ci: Anas, miy saraxalekat bu mag bi, Kayif, Yowaana, Alegsàndar ak bokki saraxalekat bu mag bi.
7When they had stood them in the middle of them, they inquired, “By what power, or in what name, have you done this?”
7 Ñu dëj Piyeer ak Yowaana ca digg ba, laaj leen ne: «Lii ngeen def, ci gan kàttan, mbaa ci turu kan, ngeen ko defe?»
8Then Peter, filled with the Holy Spirit, said to them, “You rulers of the people, and elders of Israel,
8 Ci kaw loolu Piyeer daldi fees ak Xel mu Sell mi, ne leen: «Yéen kilifay xeet wi ak njiit yi,
9if we are examined today concerning a good deed done to a crippled man, by what means this man has been healed,
9 bu fekkee ne xettali nit ku wopp, ba mu wér, moo tax ngeen dëj nu ci pénc mi tey,
10be it known to you all, and to all the people of Israel, that in the name of Jesus Christ of Nazareth, whom you crucified, whom God raised from the dead, in him does this man stand here before you whole.
10 nangeen xam lii, yéen ñépp ak bànni Israyil gépp! Ci turu Yeesu Kirist mu Nasaret, mi ngeen daajoon ca bant te Yàlla dekkal ko, ci tur woowu la nit kii jële ag wér, ba taxaw ci seen kanam.

12There is salvation in none other, for neither is there any other name under heaven, that is given among men, by which we must be saved!”
12 Te mucc amul ci keneen, ndaxte ci ron asamaan amul weneen tur wu ñu maye ci nit ñi, wu nu war a mucce.»
13Now when they saw the boldness of Peter and John, and had perceived that they were unlearned and ignorant men, they marveled. They recognized that they had been with Jesus.
13 Kon bi ñu gisee fit, wi Piyeer ak Yowaana àndal, te ñu xam ne, musuñoo jàng mbaa ñuy gëstu ci diine, ñu daldi waaru, ràññee ne, daa nañu ànd ak Yeesu.
14Seeing the man who was healed standing with them, they could say nothing against it.
14 Te bi ñu gisee nit, ka ñu fajoon, taxaw ak ñoom, mënuñu caa teg dara.
15But when they had commanded them to go aside out of the council, they conferred among themselves,
15 Noonu ñu santaane, ñu génne leen, ñu daldi gise ci seen biir,
16saying, “What shall we do to these men? Because indeed a notable miracle has been done through them, as can be plainly seen by all who dwell in Jerusalem, and we can’t deny it.
16 ne: «Lu nuy def ak ñii? Ndaxte def nañu kéemaan gu siiw; loolu leer na ñi dëkk Yerusalem ñépp, te mënunu koo weddi.
17But so that this spreads no further among the people, let’s threaten them, that from now on they don’t speak to anyone in this name.”
17 Waaye ngir mbir mi bañ a law ci xeet wi, nanu leen aaye, ñu bañ a waxati ak kenn ci tur woowu.»
18They called them, and commanded them not to speak at all nor teach in the name of Jesus.
18 Noonu ñu woo leen, ñu tere leen bu wóor, ñu waxati mbaa waare dara ci turu Yeesu.
19But Peter and John answered them, “Whether it is right in the sight of God to listen to you rather than to God, judge for yourselves,
19 Waaye Piyeer ak Yowaana tontu leen ne: «Bu fekkee ne déggal leen te bàyyi Yàlla moo jub ci kanam Yàlla, seetleen ko.
20for we can’t help telling the things which we saw and heard.”
20 Waaye nun mënunoo bañ a wax li nu gis te dégg ko.»
21When they had further threatened them, they let them go, finding no way to punish them, because of the people; for everyone glorified God for that which was done.
21 Noonu kilifa yi tëkkuwaat leen, yiwi leen, ñu dem. Ndaxte amuñu benn bunt ci ñoom ngir mbugal leen, fekk ñépp di màggal Yàlla ci li xewoon.
22For the man on whom this miracle of healing was performed was more than forty years old.
22 Ndaxte nit, ka ñu fajoon ci kéemaan googu, weesoon na ñeent-fukki at.
23Being let go, they came to their own company, and reported all that the chief priests and the elders had said to them.
23 Bi ñu leen yiwee nag, ñu dem ci seeni bokk, nettali leen li saraxalekat yu mag ya ak njiit ya waxoon lépp.
24When they heard it, they lifted up their voice to God with one accord, and said, “O Lord, you are God, who made the heaven, the earth, the sea, and all that is in them;

26 Buuri àddina dañoo booloo,te kilifa yi dajaloo,di bañ Boroom bi ak Almaseem.”
27“For truly, in this city against your holy servant, Jesus, whom you anointed, both Herod and Pontius Pilate, with the Gentiles and the people of Israel, were gathered together

29Now, Lord, look at their threats, and grant to your servants to speak your word with all boldness,

31When they had prayed, the place was shaken where they were gathered together. They were all filled with the Holy Spirit, and they spoke the word of God with boldness.
31 Bi ñu ñaanee ba noppi, bérab ba ñu booloo woon daldi yengatu; te ñoom ñépp fees ak Xel mu Sell mi, ñuy wax kàddug Yàlla ak fit wu dëgër.
32The multitude of those who believed were of one heart and soul. Not one of them claimed that anything of the things which he possessed was his own, but they had all things in common.
32 Noonu mbooloom ñu gëm ñi bokk menn xel ak benn xalaat. Kenn daawul aakimoo dara ci alalam, waaye ñoo bokkoon lépp.
33With great power, the apostles gave their testimony of the resurrection of the Lord Jesus. Great grace was on them all.
