Luke

12

1 Gannaaw loolu, naka la mbooloo ma dajaloo ba mat ay junniy junniy nit, di tancante, Yeesu tàmbalee wax jëmale ca taalibeem ya ne leen: «Moytuleen lawiiru Farisen ya, li di naaféq.
1At which time the myriads of the multitude having been gathered together, so as to tread upon one another, he began to say unto his disciples, first, `Take heed to yourselves of the leaven of the Pharisees, which is hypocrisy;
2 Amul dara lu nëbbu lu ñu warul a biral, mbaa lu kumpa lu ñu warul a siiwal.
2and there is nothing covered, that shall not be revealed; and hid, that shall not be known;
3 Looloo tax lu ngeen wax ci biir lëndëm, dees na ko dégg ci leer. Lu ngeen déey nit ci biir néeg, dees na ko yégle ci kaw taax yi.
3because whatever in the darkness ye said, in the light shall be heard: and what to the ear ye spake in the inner-chambers, shall be proclaimed upon the house-tops.
4 «Maa ngi leen koy wax, samay xarit, buleen ragal ñu man a rey yaram, ba noppi dootuñu man a def dara.
4`And I say to you, my friends, be not afraid of those killing the body, and after these things are not having anything over to do;
5 Dinaa leen wax nag ki ngeen war a ragal: ragal-leen Ki nga xam ne bu reyee ba noppi, am sañ-sañu sànni ca safara. Waaw maa ngi leen koy wax, ragal-leen kooku.
5but I will show to you, whom ye may fear; Fear him who, after the killing, is having authority to cast to the gehenna; yes, I say to you, Fear ye Him.
6 Juróomi picci rammatu, ndax duñu ko jaay ci ñaari dërëm? Moona Yàlla fàttewul benn ci ñoom.
6`Are not five sparrows sold for two assars? and one of them is not forgotten before God,
7 Seen kawari bopp sax waññees na leen. Kon buleen ragal dara, yéena gën ndiiraanu rammatu.
7but even the hairs of your head have been all numbered; therefore fear ye not, than many sparrows ye are of more value.
8 «Te maa ngi leen koy wax, képp ku ma nangu ci kanamu nit ñi, Doomu nit ki dina la nangu ci kanamu malaakay Yàlla yi.
8`And I say to you, Every one — whoever may confess with me before men, the Son of Man also shall confess with him before the messengers of God,
9 Waaye ku ma gàntu ci kanamu nit ñi, dinañu la gàntu ci kanamu malaakay Yàlla yi.
9and he who hath denied me before men, shall be denied before the messengers of God,
10 Ku sosal Doomu nit ki, dinañu la baal, waaye kuy sosal Xel mu Sell mi, duñu la ko baal.
10and every one whoever shall say a word to the Son of Man, it shall be forgiven to him, but to him who to the Holy Spirit did speak evil, it shall not be forgiven.
11 «Bu ñu leen yóbboo ca jàngu ya, ca kanamu kilifa ya ak àttekat ya, buleen am xel ñaar ci li ngeen war a tontu ak nan ngeen war a tontoo, walla lu ngeen war a wax,
11`And when they bring you before the synagogues, and the rulers, and the authorities, be not anxious how or what ye may reply, or what ye may say,
12 ndaxte Xel mu Sell mi dina leen xamal ca waxtu woowa li ngeen war a wax.»
12for the Holy Spirit shall teach you in that hour what it behoveth [you] to say.`
13 Am ca mbooloo ma ku ne Yeesu: «Kilifa gi, joxal ndigal sama mag, mu sédd ma ci sunu ndono.»
13And a certain one said to him, out of the multitude, `Teacher, say to my brother to divide with me the inheritance.`
14 Yeesu tontu ko ne: «Sama waay, kan moo ma fal àttekat ci seen kaw, walla mu teg ma fi, ma di leen séddaleel seen alal?»
14And he said to him, `Man, who set me a judge or a divider over you?`
15 Noonu mu ne leen ñoom ñépp: «Moytuleen bëgge, ndaxte bakkanu nit ajuwul ci alalam, ak lu mu baree-bare.»
15And he said unto them, `Observe, and beware of the covetousness, because not in the abundance of one`s goods is his life.`
16 Noonu mu dégtal leen wii léeb ne: «Dafa amoon waa ju bare alal, te ay toolam nangu lool,
16And he spake a simile unto them, saying, `Of a certain rich man the field brought forth well;
17 muy werante ci xelam naan: “Nu ma war a def? Ndaxte amatuma fu ma dajale sama ngóob mi.”
17and he was reasoning within himself, saying, What shall I do, because I have not where I shall gather together my fruits?
18 Noonu mu ne: “Nii laay def: daaneel sama sàq yi, defaraat yu gën a réy, ba man cee dajale sama dugub ji ak sama am-am jépp.
18and he said, This I will do, I will take down my storehouses, and greater ones I will build, and I will gather together there all my products and my good things,
19 Te dinaa kañ sama bopp ne: ’Yaw mii, am nga alal ju bare ju man a dem ay ati at; noppalal sa yaram, di lekk, di naan, tey bég.’ ”
19and I will say to my soul, Soul, thou hast many good things laid up for many years, be resting, eat, drink, be merry.
20 Waaye Yàlla ne ko: “Ñàkk xel! Guddig tey, dees na jël sa bakkan. Kon li nga dajale lépp, ku koy moom?”
20`And God said to him, Unthinking one! this night thy soul they shall require from thee, and what things thou didst prepare — to whom shall they be?
21 «Kiy dajale alal ngir boppam nag te amul dara ca kanam Yàlla, lu mel nii moo lay dal.»
21so [is] he who is treasuring up to himself, and is not rich toward God.`
22 Noonu Yeesu daldi ne taalibeem yi: «Loolu moo tax maa ngi leen koy wax, buleen seen bakkan jaaxal, ci lu ngeen war a lekk. Buleen jaaxle it ngir seen yaram ci lu ngeen war a sol,
22And he said unto his disciples, `Because of this, to you I say, Be not anxious for your life, what ye may eat; nor for the body, what ye may put on;
23 ndaxte bakkan moo gën lekk, te yaram a gën koddaay.
23the life is more than the nourishment, and the body than the clothing.
24 Seetleen baaxoñ yi: duñu ji, duñu góob, amuñu dencukaay, amuñu sàq, teewul Yàllaa ngi leen di dundal. Céy ni ngeen ëppe maana picc yi!
24`Consider the ravens, that they sow not, nor reap, to which there is no barn nor storehouse, and God doth nourish them; how much better are ye than the fowls?
25 Ana kan ci yéen ci kaw njaaxleem, moo man a yokk ab waxtu ci àppam?
25and who of you, being anxious, is able to add to his age one cubit?
26 Su fekkee lu tuuti loolu rekk mënuleen koo def, kon lu tax ngeen di jaaxle ci li ci des?
26If, then, ye are not able for the least — why for the rest are ye anxious?
27 «Seetleen ni tóor-tóori ñax mi di saxe. Duñu liggéey, duñu ëcc, waaye maa ngi leen di wax ne, Suleymaan sax ci ndamam, soluwul woon ni benn ci ñoom.
27`Consider the lilies, how do they grow? they labour not, nor do they spin, and I say to you, not even Solomon in all his glory was arrayed as one of these;
28 Yéen ñi néew ngëm! Bu Yàlla woddee nii ñaxu tool yi, miy sax tey te bu subaa ñu def ko ci taal bi, ndax du leen gën a wodd?
28and if the herbage in the field, that to-day is, and to-morrow into an oven is cast, God doth so clothe, how much more you — ye of little faith?
29 Buleen di wut lu ngeen di lekk walla lu ngeen di naan; te buleen ci jaaxle.
29`And ye — seek not what ye may eat, or what ye may drink, and be not in suspense,
30 Ndaxte loolu lépp, ñi xamul Yàlla ñoo koy wut. Te seen Baay xam na ne, soxla ngeen ko.
30for all these things do the nations of the world seek after, and your Father hath known that ye have need of these things;
31 Waaye wutleen nguuram, te loolu lépp dina leen ko ci dollil.
31but, seek ye the reign of God, and all these things shall be added to you.
32 «Buleen ragal dara, yéen coggal ju ndaw ji, ndaxte dafa soob seen Baay, mu jagleel leen nguuram.
32`Fear not, little flock, because your Father did delight to give you the reign;
33 Jaayleen seen alal, saraxe ko, ngir sàkku ay mbuusi xaalis yu dul bënn, maanaam alal ju dul jeex ca laaxira; foofa sàcc du ko jege te max du ko yàq.
33sell your goods, and give alms, make to yourselves bags that become not old, a treasure unfailing in the heavens, where thief doth not come near, nor moth destroy;
34 Ndaxte fu sa alal nekk, fa la sa xol nekk itam.
34for where your treasure is, there also your heart will be.
35 «Takkuleen bu dëgër te bàyyi làmp yi tàkk.
35`Let your loins be girded, and the lamps burning,
36 Mel-leen ni ay surga yuy xaar seen njaatige buy jóge ca céet ga, ndax bu fëggee bunt ba, ñu ubbil ko ca saa sa.
36and ye like to men waiting for their lord, when he shall return out of the wedding feasts, that he having come and knocked, immediately they may open to him.
37 Surga yooyee seen njaatige fekkul ñuy nelaw, ba mu agsee, ñoo gën a yeyoo ngërëm. Ci dëgg maa ngi leen koy wax, njaatige bi dina sol yérey waañ, wax leen ñu toog lekk, ba noppi indil leen ñam wi.
37`Happy those servants, whom the lord, having come, shall find watching; verily I say to you, that he will gird himself, and will cause them to recline (at meat), and having come near, will minister to them;
38 Su fekkee seen njaatige ci xaaju guddi lay ñëw sax, walla bu suuf seddee, te fekk leen noonu, surga yooyu ñoo gën a yeyoo ngërëm.
38and if he may come in the second watch, and in the third watch he may come, and may find [it] so, happy are those servants.
39 Waaye xamleen lii: bu boroom kër gi xamoon ban waxtu la sàcc bi di ñëw, du ko bàyyi, mu toj këram.
39`And this know, that if the master of the house had known what hour the thief doth come, he would have watched, and would not have suffered his house to be broken through;
40 Yéen itam taxawleen jonn, ndaxte Doomu nit ki dina ñëw ci waxtu wu ngeen ko séenuwul.»
40and ye, then, become ye ready, because at the hour ye think not, the Son of Man doth come.`
41 Piyeer ne Yeesu: «Boroom bi, ndax dangay dégtal léeb wii ngir nun rekk walla ngir mbooloo mépp?»
41And Peter said to him, `Sir, unto us this simile dost thou speak, or also unto all?`
42 Boroom bi tontu ko ne: «Kan moo nekk surga bu takku te teey, bu njaatigeem teg ci waa kër gi, ngir mu leen di dundal ci jamono ji?
42And the Lord said, `Who, then, is the faithful and prudent steward whom the lord shall set over his household, to give in season the wheat measure?
43 Bu njaatigeem ñëwee te gis mu def noonu, surga boobu dina am ngërëm.
43Happy that servant, whom his lord, having come, shall find doing so;
44 Ci dëgg maa ngi leen koy wax, njaatige bi dina ko teg ci alalam jépp.
44truly I say to you, that over all his goods he will set him.
45 Waaye su fekkee surga ba da ne ci xelam: “Sama njaatige day yéex a ñëw,” ba tax mu tàmbalee dóor surga ya ca des ak mbindaan ya, di lekk te di naan, di màndi,
45`And if that servant may say in his heart, My lord doth delay to come, and may begin to beat the men-servants and the maid-servants, to eat also, and to drink, and to be drunken;
46 kon njaatige ba dina ñëw ci bés bu mu ko séenuwul ak waxtu wu mu xamul. Dina ko dóor ay dóor yu metti, jox ko añub ñi gëmul Yàlla.
46the lord of that servant will come in a day in which he doth not look for [him], and in an hour that he doth not know, and will cut him off, and his portion with the unfaithful he will appoint.
47 «Surga bi xam bëgg-bëggu njaatigeem, te waajul mbaa mu takku def ko, dinañu ko dóor dóor yu metti.
47`And that servant, who having known his lord`s will, and not having prepared, nor having gone according to his will, shall be beaten with many stripes,
48and he who, not having known, and having done things worthy of stripes, shall be beaten with few; and to every one to whom much was given, much shall be required from him; and to whom they did commit much, more abundantly they will ask of him.
49 «Damaa ñëw ngir indi safara si ci àddina, te bëgg naa xaat taal bi tàkk.
49`Fire I came to cast to the earth, and what will I if already it was kindled?
50 Fàww ñu sóob ma ci metit, te ba looluy mat, duma noppalu.
50but I have a baptism to be baptized with, and how am I pressed till it may be completed!
51 Ndax dangeen a xalaat ne, damaa ñëw ngir indi jàmm ci àddina? Déedéet. Maa ngi leen koy wax, damaa ñëw ngir indi féewaloo.
51`Think ye that peace I came to give in the earth? no, I say to you, but rather division;
52 Gannaawsi tey, bu juróomi nit bokkee genn kër, dinañu féewaloo. Ñett dinañu féewaloo ak ñaar ñi ci des, ñaar ñi féewaloo ak ñett ñooñu.
52for there shall be henceforth five in one house divided — three against two, and two against three;
53 Baay bi dina féewaloo ak doom ji, doom ji ak baayam. Ndey dina féewaloo ak doomam ju jigéen; doom ju jigéen ji ak ndeyam. Goro dina féewaloo ak jabaru doomam; jabaru nit ak goroom.»
53a father shall be divided against a son, and a son against a father, a mother against a daughter, and a daughter against a mother, a mother-in-law against her daughter-in-law, and a daughter-in-law against her mother-in-law.`
54 Yeesu neeti mbooloo ma: «Bu ngeen gisee mu xiin ci sowu, dangeen naan ca saa sa: “Dina taw,” te mooy am.
54And he said also to the multitudes, `When ye may see the cloud rising from the west, immediately ye say, A shower doth come, and it is so;
55 Te bu ngeen yégee ngelaw liy uppe sudd, ngeen ne: “Dina tàng tàngaay wu metti,” te mooy am.
55and when — a south wind blowing, ye say, that there will be heat, and it is;
56 Naaféq yi ngeen doon! Man ngeen a ràññee melow asamaan ak suuf, waaye lu tax mënuleen a ràññee li jamonoy léegi ji di tekki?
56hypocrites! the face of the earth and of the heaven ye have known to make proof of, but this time — how do ye not make proof of [it]?
57 «Lu tax it dungeen àtteel seen bopp liy jëf ju jub?
57`And why, also, of yourselves, judge ye not what is righteous?
58for, as thou art going away with thy opponent to the ruler, in the way give diligence to be released from him, lest he may drag thee unto the judge, and the judge may deliver thee to the officer, and the officer may cast thee into prison;
59 Maa ngi la koy wax, doo génn foofa mukk te feyuloo fiftin bi ci mujj.»
59I say to thee, thou mayest not come forth thence till even the last mite thou mayest give back.`
