1 Noonu Yeesu wax leen itam léeb wii ngir xamal leen ne, war nañoo sax ci ñaan te bañ a xàddi.
1And he spake also a simile to them, that it behoveth [us] always to pray, and not to faint,
2 Nee na: «Dafa amoon cib dëkk, benn àttekat bu ragalul Yàlla te faalewul mbindeef.
2saying, `A certain judge was in a certain city — God he is not fearing, and man he is not regarding —
3 Amoon na itam ca dëkk ba jigéen ju jëkkëram faatu ju daan faral di ñëw ci moom, naan ko: “Àtte ma ak sama noon!”
3and a widow was in that city, and she was coming unto him, saying, Do me justice on my opponent,
4 Àttekat ba bañ lu yàgg, waaye am bés mu ne ci xelam: “Ragaluma Yàlla te faalewuma mbindeef,
4and he would not for a time, but after these things he said in himself, Even if God I do not fear, and man do not regard,
5yet because this widow doth give me trouble, I will do her justice, lest, perpetually coming, she may plague me.`
6 Boroom bi tegaat ca ne: «Dégluleen bu baax li àttekat bu bon boobu wax;
6And the Lord said, `Hear ye what the unrighteous judge saith:
7 ndax Yàlla du àtte jub mbooloom mi mu tànn te ñu koy ñaan wall guddi ak bëccëg? Ndax dina leen xaarloo?
7and shall not God execute the justice to His choice ones, who are crying unto Him day and night — bearing long in regard to them?
8 Maa ngi leen koy wax, dina leen àtte jub ci lu gaaw.
8I say to you, that He will execute the justice to them quickly; but the Son of Man having come, shall he find the faith upon the earth?`
9 Yeesu waxaat léeb wii nit, ñi foog ne jub nañu tey xeeb ñi ci des.
9And he spake also unto certain who have been trusting in themselves that they were righteous, and have been despising the rest, this simile:
10 Mu ne: «Dafa amoon ñaari nit ñu dem ca kër Yàlla ga, di ñaan. Kenn ki ab Farisen la, ki ci des juutikat.
10`Two men went up to the temple to pray, the one a Pharisee, and the other a tax-gatherer;
11 Farisen baa nga taxaw di ñaan ci xelam naan: “Yaw Yàlla, maa ngi lay sant ci li ma melul ni ñeneen ñiy sàcc, di def lu jubadi te di njaaloo, rawatina juutikat bii.
11the Pharisee having stood by himself, thus prayed: God, I thank Thee that I am not as the rest of men, rapacious, unrighteous, adulterers, or even as this tax-gatherer;
12 Ayu-bés gu nekk damay woor ñaari yoon, di joxe asaka ci lépp lu ma wut.”
12I fast twice in the week, I give tithes of all things — as many as I possess.
13 «Juutikat ba moom, ma nga taxaw fu sore te bëggul a siggi sax, xool ca asamaan. Waaye ma ngay fëgg dënnam te naan: “Yaw Yàlla, yërëm ma, man miy bàkkaarkat.”»
13`And the tax-gatherer, having stood afar off, would not even the eyes lift up to the heaven, but was smiting on his breast, saying, God be propitious to me — the sinner!
14I say to you, this one went down declared righteous, to his house, rather than that one: for every one who is exalting himself shall be humbled, and he who is humbling himself shall be exalted.`
15And they were bringing near also the babes, that he may touch them, and the disciples having seen did rebuke them,
16 Waaye Yeesu woo leen ne: «Bàyyileen xale yi, ñu ñëw ci man, te buleen leen tere, ndaxte ñu mel ni ñoom ñoo yelloo nguuru Yàlla.
16and Jesus having called them near, said, `Suffer the little children to come unto me, and forbid them not, for of such is the reign of God;
17 Ci dëgg, maa ngi leen koy wax, woyoful ni xale, nangu nguuru Yàlla, doo ci man a dugg.»
17verily I say to you, Whoever may not receive the reign of God as a little child, may not enter into it.`
18 Benn njiitu Yawut laaj Yeesu ne ko: «Kilifa gu baax gi, lu ma war a def, ba am wàll ci dund gu dul jeex?»
18And a certain ruler questioned him, saying, `Good teacher, what having done — shall I inherit life age-during?`
19 Yeesu tontu ko: «Lu tax nga wooye ma ku baax? Yàlla rekk a baax.
19And Jesus said to him, `Why me dost thou call good? no one [is] good, except One — God;
20 Xam nga ndigal yi: “Bul njaaloo, bul bóom, bul sàcc, bul seede lu dul dëgg, teralal sa ndey ak sa baay.”»
20the commands thou hast known: Thou mayest not commit adultery, Thou mayest do no murder, Thou mayest not steal, Thou mayest not bear false witness, Honour thy father and thy mother.`
21 Njiit la ne ko: «Loolu lépp sàmm naa ko li dale ci sama ndaw ba tey.»
21And he said, `All these I did keep from my youth;`
Jaayal li nga am lépp, séddale ko miskin yi te dinga woomle ca asamaan; boo noppee, nga ñëw topp ci man.»
22and having heard these things, Jesus said to him, `Yet one thing to thee is lacking; all things — as many as thou hast — sell, and distribute to the poor, and thou shalt have treasure in heaven, and come, be following me;`
23 Bi nit ka déggee loolu, mu am tiis, ndaxte ku bare woon alal la.
23and he, having heard these things, became very sorrowful, for he was exceeding rich.
24 Yeesu xool ko, daldi ne: «Boroom alal, dugg ci nguuru Yàlla, lu jafee ngoogu!
24And Jesus having seen him become very sorrowful, said, `How hardly shall those having riches enter into the reign of God!
25 Giléem jaar ci bën-bënu pusa moo gën a yomb boroom alal dugg ci nguuru Yàlla.»
25for it is easier for a camel through the eye of a needle to enter, than for a rich man into the reign of God to enter.`
26 Ñi doon déglu daldi ne: «Kon nag ku man a mucc?»
26And those who heard, said, `And who is able to be saved?`
27 Yeesu tontu ne: «Li të nit ñi, tëwul Yàlla.»
27and he said, `The things impossible with men are possible with God.`
28And Peter said, `Lo, we left all, and did follow thee;`
29 Yeesu ne leen: «Ci dëgg maa ngi leen koy wax, képp ku dëddu kër walla jabar walla ay doomi ndey walla ay waajur walla ay doom ngir nguuru Yàlla,
29and he said to them, `Verily I say to you, that there is not one who left house, or parents, or brothers, or wife, or children, for the sake of the reign of God,
30 dinga am tey jii ay yooni yoon, ak dund gu dul jeex ëllëg.»
30who may not receive back manifold more in this time, and in the coming age, life age-during.`
31 Yeesu wéetoo ak fukki taalibe yi ak ñaar ne leen: «Nu ngi dem Yerusalem, te li yonent yi bindoon lépp ci mbirum Doomu nit ki dina mat.
31And having taken the twelve aside, he said unto them, `Lo, we go up to Jerusalem, and all things shall be completed — that have been written through the prophets — to the Son of Man,
32 Dinañu ko jébbal ñi dul Yawut, ñu ñaawal ko, saaga ko, tifli ci kawam.
32for he shall be delivered up to the nations, and shall be mocked, and insulted, and spit upon,
33and having scourged they shall put him to death, and on the third day he shall rise again.`
34 Waaye taalibe ya dégguñu li mu leen doon wax; kàddu yooyu ump na leen, te xamuñu li waxi Yeesu yooyu tekki.
34And they none of these things understood, and this saying was hid from them, and they were not knowing the things said.
35 Bi Yeesu di agsi dëkku Yeriko, am gumba gu toogoon ca wetu yoon wa, di yelwaan.
35And it came to pass, in his coming nigh to Jericho, a certain blind man was sitting beside the way begging,
36and having heard a multitude going by, he was inquiring what this may be,
37 Ñu wax ko ne: «Yeesum Nasaret moo fay jaar.»
37and they brought him word that Jesus the Nazarene doth pass by,
38 Noonu mu yuuxu ne: «Yeesu, Sëtu Daawuda, yërëm ma!»
38and he cried out, saying, `Jesus, Son of David, deal kindly with me;`
39 Ñi jiitu woon gëdd ko, ngir mu noppi. Waaye muy gën a yuuxu naan: «Sëtu Daawuda, yërëm ma!»
39and those going before were rebuking him, that he might be silent, but he was much more crying out, `Son of David, deal kindly with me.`
40 Noonu Yeesu taxaw, santaane ñu indil ko ko. Bi mu jegesee, Yeesu laaj ko ne:
40And Jesus having stood, commanded him to be brought unto him, and he having come nigh, he questioned him,
41 «Loo bëggoon ma defal la ko?» Mu ne ko: «Sang bi, damaa bëgg a gis.»
41saying, `What wilt thou I shall do to thee?` and he said, `Sir, that I may receive sight.`
42 Noonu Yeesu ne ko: «Na say bët gis! Sa ngëm faj na la.»
42And Jesus said to him, `Receive thy sight; thy faith hath saved thee;`
43 Ca saa sa mu daldi gis. Noonu mu topp ci Yeesu, di màggal Yàlla. Mbooloo mépp gis loolu, di sant Yàlla.
43and presently he did receive sight, and was following him, glorifying God; and all the people, having seen, did give praise to God.
