1 Man Pool, ndawul Yeesu Kirist --nit falu ma ko, te jaarewul it ci nit, mi ngi jaare ci Yeesu Kirist ak Yàlla Baay, bi ko dekkal —
1Paul, an apostle (not from men, neither through man, but through Jesus Christ, and God the Father, who raised him from the dead),
2 man ak bokk yiy ànd ak man yépp, nu ngi leen di bind, yéen mboolooy ñi gëm te dëkk ci diiwaanu Galasi.
2and all the brothers The word for “brothers” here and where context allows may also be correctly translated “brothers and sisters” or “siblings.” who are with me, to the assemblies of Galatia:
3 Na yiw ak jàmm féete ak yéen, jóge ci Yàlla sunu Baay ak Yeesu Kirist Boroom bi,
3Grace to you and peace from God the Father, and our Lord Jesus Christ,
4 moom mi joxe bakkanam ngir dindi sunuy bàkkaar, te musal nu ci àddina su bon, si nu nekk, dëppook coobareg Yàlla sunu Baay,
4who gave himself for our sins, that he might deliver us out of this present evil age, according to the will of our God and Father—
5 bi yelloo ndam ba fàww. Amiin.
5to whom be the glory forever and ever. Amen.
6 Man de jaaxle naa! Yàlla woo na leen ci boppam jaarale ko ci yiw, wi nu Kirist defal, waaye yéena ngi koy gaawantoo bàyyi, ngir topp beneen xebaar,
6I marvel that you are so quickly deserting him who called you in the grace of Christ to a different “good news”;
7 fekk du xebaar bu baax bi. Dafa am rekk ci seen biir ay nit ñiy nëxal xel yi, te bëgg a dandal xebaar bu baax bu Kirist.
7and there isn’t another “good news.” Only there are some who trouble you, and want to pervert the Good News of Christ.
8 Waaye su fekkee kenn ci nun ñëw, walla malaaka sax mu jóge asamaan, di yégle beneen xebaar bu mengoowul ak bi nu leen yégal, kooku Yal na alku!
8But even though we, or an angel from heaven, should preach to you any “good news” other than that which we preached to you, let him be cursed.
9 Wax nanu ko, maa ngi koy waxaat: bu leen kenn yégalee beneen xebaar bu dul bi ngeen nangu, kooku Yal na alku!
9As we have said before, so I now say again: if any man preaches to you any “good news” other than that which you received, let him be cursed.
10 Ndax kon nit laay wut a gëmloo, am damay fexee yey Yàlla? Mbaa damay wut a neex nit ñi? Su ma doon wut a neex nit ñi ba tey, kon duma nekkati jaamu Kirist.
10For am I now seeking the favor of men, or of God? Or am I striving to please men? For if I were still pleasing men, I wouldn’t be a servant of Christ.
11 Bokk yi, maa ngi leen di xamal ne, xebaar bu baax bi ma yégle, jógewul ci nit.
11But I make known to you, brothers, concerning the Good News which was preached by me, that it is not according to man.
12 Jëlewuma ko ci nit, te kenn jàngalu ma ko, waaye Yeesu Kirist moo ma ko won.
12For neither did I receive it from man, nor was I taught it, but it came to me through revelation of Jesus Christ.
13 Dégg ngeen ni ma doon jëfe, bi ma nekkee ci diiney Yawut yi, di fitnaal bu metti mbooloom Yàlla, di ko jéem a tas.
13For you have heard of my way of living in time past in the Jews’ religion, how that beyond measure I persecuted the assembly of God, and ravaged it.
14 Bokkoon naa ci ñi gën a farlu ci diiney Yawut yi, te sawar it ci sàrti yoon, yi fi samay maam bàyyi, ba raw sama maas, gi ma bokkal askan.
14I advanced in the Jews’ religion beyond many of my own age among my countrymen, being more exceedingly zealous for the traditions of my fathers.
15 Waaye Yàlla mi ma tànn lu jiitu sama juddu te woo ma ci boppam ci kaw yiwam, bi mu ko soobee, xamal na ma kan mooy Doomam, ngir ma yégal ñi dul Yawut xebaar bu baax bi ci mbirum Kirist; booba nag diisoowuma ci ak kenn.
15But when it was the good pleasure of God, who separated me from my mother’s womb, and called me through his grace,
17 Demuma sax Yerusalem seeti ñi ma jëkk a nekk ay ndawi Kirist, waaye réewu Arabi laa dem, te gannaaw loolu ma dellusiwaat Damas.
16to reveal his Son in me, that I might preach him among the Gentiles, I didn’t immediately confer with flesh and blood,
18 Ba ñu ca tegee ñetti at, ma sog a dem Yerusalem, ngir xamante ak Sefas, dal fa moom lu mat ñaari ayu-bés.
17nor did I go up to Jerusalem to those who were apostles before me, but I went away into Arabia. Then I returned to Damascus.
19 Waaye gisuma keneen ci ndaw yi ku dul Saag, doomu ndeyu Boroom bi.
18Then after three years I went up to Jerusalem to visit Peter, and stayed with him fifteen days.
20 Lii ma leen di bind nag, Yàllaa may seede ci ne, du ay fen.
19But of the other apostles I saw no one, except James, the Lord’s brother.
21 Bi loolu wéyee dem naa réewu Siri ak réewu Silisi.
20Now about the things which I write to you, behold, before God, I’m not lying.
22 Waaye ba tey mboolooy ñi gëm Kirist ci diiwaanu Yude xamuñu ma woon.
21Then I came to the regions of Syria and Cilicia.
23 Dañu déggoon ñu naan rekk ne: «Ki nu daan fitnaal bu jëkk te daan jéem a far yoonu ngëm wi, léegi mi ngi koy yégle!»
22I was still unknown by face to the assemblies of Judea which were in Christ,
24 Te ñuy sant Yàlla ci man.
23but they only heard: “He who once persecuted us now preaches the faith that he once tried to destroy.”
24And they glorified God in me.
