Hebrews

5

1 Saraxalekat bu mag bu nekk nag, ci biir nit ñi lañu ko jële, te fal ko muy dox seen diggante ak Yàlla. Noonu dina jébbal Yàlla ay sarax, tey rendi ay mala ngir dindi seeni bàkkaar.
1For every high priest, being taken from among men, is appointed for men in things pertaining to God, that he may offer both gifts and sacrifices for sins.
2 Te ndegam moom ci boppam nit kese la, man na muñal ñiy moy ndax seen ñàkka xam.
2The high priest can deal gently with those who are ignorant and going astray, because he himself is also surrounded with weakness.
3 Li mu ñàkk doole moo tax mu war a def ay sarax ngir mbaalug bàkkaaram, ni mu ko tàmmee defal mbooloo mi.
3Because of this, he must offer sacrifices for sins for the people, as well as for himself.
4 Kenn mënul a teral sa bopp ba doon ab saraxalekat, su dul ne Yàllaa la woo, ni mu ko defe woon Aaroona.
4Nobody takes this honor on himself, but he is called by God, just like Aaron was.
5 Kirist itam yékkatiwul boppam, ba doon saraxalekat bu mag, waaye Yàlla moo ko woo, bi muy wax ne:«Yaa di sama Doom, maa di sa Baay tey.»
5So also Christ didn’t glorify himself to be made a high priest, but it was he who said to him, “You are my Son. Today I have become your father.”
6 Am na feneen fu mu wax ne:«Doon nga saraxalekat ba fàwwmel ni Melkisedeg.»
6As he says also in another place, “You are a priest forever, after the order of Melchizedek.”
7 Giiru dundam gépp ci àddina, Kirist da daan ñaan wall ci Yàlla, di ko dénku, boole ko ak i jooy ak i rangooñ. Da doon ñaan ci Yàlla, mi ko man a musal ci dee. Te ñaanam nangu na, ndax ni mu jébbale boppam Yàlla.
7He, in the days of his flesh, having offered up prayers and petitions with strong crying and tears to him who was able to save him from death, and having been heard for his godly fear,
8 Waaye li muy nekk-nekk doom, teewul mu jàng déggal Yàlla, jaare ko ci coono bi mu daj.
8though he was a Son, yet learned obedience by the things which he suffered.
9 Noonu la àgge cig mat, ñu def ko ki waral mucc gi dul jeex, ngir ñi ko déggal ñépp.
9Having been made perfect, he became to all of those who obey him the author of eternal salvation,
10 Fekk na Yàlla tudde ko saraxalekat bu mag ni ko Melkisedeg nekke.
10named by God a high priest after the order of Melchizedek.
11 Ci fànn googu, am na lu bare lu nu ci bëgg a wax, waaye tekkil leen ko dina jafe, ndaxte dangeen a naqari xel.
11About him we have many words to say, and hard to interpret, seeing you have become dull of hearing.
12 Bu yàgg ngeen waroon a jàngal ñeneen ñi, waaye soxla ngeen ba tey ku leen di tette ci kàddug Yàlla. Léegi nag yéena ngi tollu fi ñu leen war a nàmpale, ndaxte àttanuleen ñam wu dëgër.
12For although by this time you should be teachers, you again need to have someone teach you the rudiments of the first principles of the oracles of God. You have come to need milk, and not solid food.
13 Képp kuy nàmp, ab xale nga ba tey. Jëfeegoo njàngale, mi jëm ci wàllu njubte.
13For everyone who lives on milk is not experienced in the word of righteousness, for he is a baby.
14 Waaye ñam wu dëgër, ñi mat a ko yelloo, maanaam ñiy jëfandikoo seen xel ngir ràññee lu baax ak lu bon.
14But solid food is for those who are full grown, who by reason of use have their senses exercised to discern good and evil.
