1指摘他們背約棄善“你要把號角放在你的嘴上，敵人如鷹一般來攻擊耶和華的家；因為他們違背了我的約，干犯了我的律法。
1[Set] the trumpet to thy mouth. As an eagle [he cometh] against the house of Jehovah, because they have transgressed my covenant, and trespassed against my law.
2他們必向我哀求：‘我的 神啊！我們以色列認識你。’
2They shall cry unto me, My God, we Israel know thee.
3以色列棄絕了良善，所以仇敵必追趕他。
3Israel hath cast off that which is good: the enemy shall pursue him.
4指摘他們拜偶像“他們立了君王，卻不是出於我；他們立了首領，我卻不知道。他們用自己的金銀為自己做了偶像，以致他們被剪除。
4They have set up kings, but not by me; they have made princes, and I knew it not: of their silver and their gold have they made them idols, that they may be cut off.
5撒瑪利亞啊！我要除掉你的牛犢，我的怒氣要向撒瑪利亞人發作，他們要到幾時才能無罪免罰呢？
5He hath cast off thy calf, O Samaria; mine anger is kindled against them: how long will it be ere they attain to innocency?
6這牛犢是出於以色列，是匠人所做的，它並不是神，撒瑪利亞的牛犢必被粉碎。
6For from Israel is even this; the workman made it, and it is no God; yea, the calf of Samaria shall be broken in pieces.
7他們播種的是風，收成的是暴風。生出來的苗沒有麥穗，不能做成麵粉；即或做成麵粉，也必被別國的人吞吃。
7For they sow the wind, and they shall reap the whirlwind: he hath no standing grain; the blade shall yield no meal; if so be it yield, strangers shall swallow it up.
8以色列被吞吃，如今在萬國中，好像沒有人喜悅的器皿。
8Israel is swallowed up: now are they among the nations as a vessel wherein none delighteth.
9他們上去投奔亞述，像一隻獨行的野驢，以法蓮賄買愛人。
9For they are gone up to Assyria, [like] a wild ass alone by himself: Ephraim hath hired lovers.
10他們雖然在列國中賄買人，我現在卻要招聚他們。他們因著君王和領袖所加的重擔，逐漸衰微。
10Yea, though they hire among the nations, now will I gather them; and they begin to be diminished by reason of the burden of the king of princes.
11以法蓮增添好些祭壇去犯罪，這些就成了他們犯罪的祭壇。
11Because Ephraim hath multiplied altars for sinning, altars have been unto him for sinning.
12我雖然為他們寫了律法萬條，他們卻看作是為外族人寫的，與他們毫無關係一般。
12I wrote for him the ten thousand things of my law; but they are counted as a strange thing.
13他們喜愛獻祭，獻肉為祭，又拿來吃；耶和華卻不喜悅他們。他必記得他們的罪孽，追討他們的罪惡；他們必回到埃及去。
13As for the sacrifices of mine offerings, they sacrifice flesh and eat it; but Jehovah accepteth them not: now will he remember their iniquity, and visit their sins; they shall return to Egypt.
14以色列忘記了造他的主，建造了很多宮殿；猶大也增添了很多堅固城。我卻要降火在他的眾城中，吞滅他的堡壘。”
14For Israel hath forgotten his Maker, and builded palaces; and Judah hath multiplied fortified cities: but I will send a fire upon his cities, and it shall devour the castles thereof.
