1不可因傳統廢棄 神的誡命（可7:1~23）有法利賽人和經學家從耶路撒冷前來，問耶穌：
1Then there come to Jesus from Jerusalem Pharisees and scribes, saying,
2“你的門徒為甚麼違背古人的傳統，在飯前不洗手呢？”
2Why do thy disciples transgress the tradition of the elders? for they wash not their hands when they eat bread.
3耶穌回答：“你們又為甚麼因你們的傳統，違背 神的誡命呢？
3And he answered and said unto them, Why do ye also transgress the commandment of God because of your tradition?
4 神說：‘當孝敬父母’，又說：‘咒罵父母的必被處死’。
4For God said, Honor thy father and thy mother: and, He that speaketh evil of father or mother, let him die the death.
5你們卻說：‘人若對父母說：“我應該給你們的，已經作了獻給 神的禮物”，
5But ye say, whosoever shall say to his father or his mother, That wherewith thou mightest have been profited by me is given [to God];
6他就可以不孝敬父母了。’你們因為你們的傳統，就廢棄了 神的話。
6he shall not honor his father. And ye have made void the word of God because of your tradition.
7偽君子啊，以賽亞指著你們說的預言說得好：
7Ye hypocrites, well did Isaiah prophesy of you, saying,
8‘這人民用嘴唇尊敬我，心卻遠離我；
8This people honoreth me with their lips; But their heart is far from me.
9他們把人的規條當作道理去教導人，所以拜我也是徒然。’”
9But in vain do they worship me, Teaching [as their] doctrines the precepts of men.
10耶穌叫群眾前來，對他們說：“你們要聽，也要明白。
10And he called to him the multitude, and said unto them, Hear, and understand:
11進到口裡的不能使人污穢，只有從口裡出來的，才能使人污穢。”
11Not that which entereth into the mouth defileth the man; but that which proceedeth out of the mouth, this defileth the man.
12門徒前來告訴他：“法利賽人聽了這話很生氣，你知道嗎？”
12Then came the disciples, and said unto him, Knowest thou that the Pharisees were offended, when they heard this saying?
13耶穌說：“所有不是我天父栽種的植物，都要連根拔起來。
13But he answered and said, Every plant which my heavenly Father planted not, shall be rooted up.
14由得他們吧！他們是瞎眼的，卻作了嚮導；如果瞎子領瞎子，二人都會跌進坑裡。”
14Let them alone: they are blind guides. And if the blind guide the blind, both shall fall into a pit.
15彼得說：“請你給我們解釋這個比喻吧。”
15And Peter answered and said unto him, Declare unto us the parable.
16耶穌說：“你們還是不明白嗎？
16And he said, Are ye also even yet without understanding?
17難道不知道一切進到口裡的，是進到肚腹，然後排泄到外面去嗎？
17Perceive ye not, that whatsoever goeth into the mouth passeth into the belly, and is cast out into the draught?
18但從口裡出來的，是發自內心，才會使人污穢。
18But the things which proceed out of the mouth come forth out of the heart; and they defile the man.
19因為從心裡出來的，有惡念、兇殺、姦淫、淫亂、偷盜、假見證和毀謗。
19For out of the heart come forth evil thoughts, murders, adulteries, fornications, thefts, false witness, railings:
20這些才會使人污穢，不洗手吃飯卻不會這樣。”
20these are the things which defile the man; but to eat with unwashen hands defileth not the man.
21迦南婦人的信心（可7:24~30）耶穌離開那裡，來到推羅、西頓境內。
21And Jesus went out thence, and withdrew into the parts of Tyre and Sidon.
22有一個迦南的婦人從那地區出來，喊著說：“主啊，大衛的子孫，可憐我吧！我的女兒被鬼附得很苦。”
22And behold, a Canaanitish woman came out from those borders, and cried, saying, Have mercy on me, O Lord, thou son of David; my daughter is grievously vexed with a demon.
23耶穌一句話也不回答她。門徒上前求他說：“請叫她走吧，她一直跟在我們後面喊叫。”
23But he answered her not a word. And his disciples came and besought him, saying, Send her away; for she crieth after us.
24耶穌回答：“我被差遣，只是到以色列家的迷羊那裡去。”
24But he answered and said, I was not sent but unto the lost sheep of the house of Israel.
25她來跪在耶穌面前說：“主啊，求你幫助我！”
25But she came and worshipped him, saying, Lord, help me.
26耶穌回答：“拿兒女的餅丟給小狗吃是不好的。”
26And he answered and said, It is not meet to take the children's bread and cast it to the dogs.
27她說：“主啊，是的，不過小狗也吃主人桌子上掉下來的碎渣。”
27But she said, Yea, Lord: for even the dogs eat of the crumbs which fall from their masters' table.
28於是耶穌對她說：“婦人，你的信心真大，照你所想的給你成就吧！”從那時起，她的女兒就好了。
28Then Jesus answered and said unto her, O woman, great is thy faith: be it done unto thee even as thou wilt. And her daughter was healed from that hour.
29治好許多病人（可7:31~37）耶穌離開那裡，來到加利利海邊，就上山坐下。
29And Jesus departed thence, and came nigh unto the sea of Galilee; and he went up into the mountain, and sat there.
30有許多人來到他那裡，把瘸腿的、瞎眼的、殘廢的、啞的和許多別的病人，都帶到耶穌跟前，他就醫好他們。
30And there came unto him great multitudes, having with them the lame, blind, dumb, maimed, and many others, and they cast them down at this feet; and he healed them:
31群眾看見啞巴說話，殘廢的復原，瘸腿的行走，瞎眼的看見，就十分驚奇，於是頌讚以色列的 神。
31insomuch that the multitude wondered, when they saw the dumb speaking, the maimed whole, and lame walking, and the blind seeing: and they glorified the God of Israel.
32給四千人吃飽的神蹟（可8:1~10。參太14:13~21）耶穌叫門徒前來，說：“我憐憫這一群人，因為他們跟我在一起已經有三天，也沒有甚麼吃的；我不想叫他們餓著肚子回去，恐怕他們在路上暈倒。”
32And Jesus called unto him his disciples, and said, I have compassion on the multitude, because they continue with me now three days and have nothing to eat: and I would not send them away fasting, lest haply they faint on the way.
33門徒對他說：“我們在這曠野地方，哪裡有足夠的食物給這許多的人吃飽呢？”
33And the disciples say unto him, Whence should we have so many loaves in a desert place as to fill so great a multitude?
34耶穌問他們：“你們有多少餅？”他們說：“七個餅和幾條小魚。”
34And Jesus said unto them, How many loaves have ye? And they said, Seven, and a few small fishes.
35他就吩咐群眾坐在地上，
35And he commanded the multitude to sit down on the ground;
36拿起那七個餅和那些魚，祝謝了，擘開遞給門徒，門徒又分給眾人。
36and he took the seven loaves and the fishes; and he gave thanks and brake, and gave to the disciples, and the disciples to the multitudes.
37大家都吃了，並且吃飽了。他們把剩下的零碎拾起來，裝滿了七個大籃子。
37And they all ate, and were filled: and they took up that which remained over of the broken pieces, seven baskets full.
38吃的人，除了婦女和孩子，共有四千。
38And they that did eat were four thousand men, besides women and children.
39耶穌解散了群眾，就上了船，來到馬加丹地區。
39And he sent away the multitudes, and entered into the boat, and came into the borders of Magadan.
